An excellent mid-sized museum. Large collections ranging from ancient to modern. Wonderful gallery space and the cafe’s food was great. I am beyond impressed by their not 1 but 2 excellent Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian homes available for tours. Both are in remarkably good condition. We went way way out of our way to see this museum and it was so very worth it.
This is a lovely museum and well worth a visit!! I had a wonderful time and the staff was so friendly :) I spent about 1.5 hours looking around and felt that was the perfect amount of time to see everything without getting tired. I also really appreciated how curated the collection was — it wasn’t just a hodgepodge of different pieces of art, there was a lot of thought that went into how to present each piece and what went with what!
The Currier Museum of Art is a nice small art museum that offers a lot. The museum has works by renowned artists such as Monet, Hopper, Cole, Homer, and Wyeth. There are also traveling exhibits and a nice collection of contemporary art. What sets the museum apart are its tours of its two Frank Lloyd Wright designed houses.
The two houses are the Zimmerman House and The Kalil House are the only two Frank Lloyd Wright houses built in New England. The museum puts together a nice tour of the houses led by volunteer docents. The tours present the history of the houses and the architectural ideas and genius of Frank Lloyd Wright. The Zimmerman House is probably the better of the two houses. However, at the Kalil House you can actually use the furniture and touch different objects in the house. This is unique for most houses designed by Wright, as at most other houses you cannot do this. Both houses were designed by Wright in his later career. Photography is allowed at both houses as well.
If going to the museum you should sign up online for the tour of the two houses. The tour takes two hours with a bus ride provided by the museum. The tours are popular so you will need to sign up early. The house tour price includes admission to the museum. The museum offers both great works of art and architectural history.

This museum is amazingly beautiful! The art in the museum are a must see, especially the van Gogh and Picasso. The glass artwork exhibit is one of the biggest collections I've seen.

I only had 45 mins for here, so there is no time for that famous old building tour. The front desk employee was nice and told me I could have a free ticket if I'm BOA credit card users. When I walked in, more employee told me the sections and explained the art what they displayed. I got art freshed and good mood in that short 45 mins. Very nice. 😊

What a great museum, small but awesome. Recommend it combine with tour to Zimmerman and Kali houses. On Sunday in cafe there is life music.

Always a great place to play and watch a baseball game. Infield could have used a few minutes of water before the game.

This smaller museum is a gem! The displays make sense and demonstrate a depth in their collection. If you are able to spend an hour or two you will be rewarded by a pleasant experience. They also have a peaceful courtyard cafe.
A lovely museum with a nice collection. We especially loved our tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses. Our son is interested in architecture and I loved that he got to learn about all the details. Most tickets were sold out the week we went. So glad I got tickets in advance.

Beautiful waterfall and good trail. A little too steep for me going up
I went to the dog 🐕 park for the first time with my Rascal. At first, I was worried because all the dogs were bigger than him, but Rascal really enjoyed himself

A great spot to hike our mountain bike. If you’re hiking, it’s quieter if you stick to the dedicated hiking trails.

A nice little park that I mostly use for Pokémon Go community days. But it's clean, has plenty of parking, a nice group of outdoor instruments, plenty of places for kids to play, and a ton of space for picnics and the like. Also, during the winter if it's rained at all. It'll be home to an ice skating rink.
Nice and open, you can see main st and some of its businesses, events happen during the summertime

It was beautifully upkept and the geese were showing their right to own the territory and make no mistake accident or not you run them over or hurt them A FINE AND JAIL TIME. CANADIAN LONG NECK GEESE AGAINST THE LAW TO HARM THEM AS IT SHOULD BE
Play disc golf here regularly, and grew up sledding here. The littering problem is unreal, parking lots, paths, benches, everyone just throws their trash. So I guess it's a 5 star park with 1 star visitors.

Picnic tables next to small pond. Geese land in the pond and come up onto the grass. They take off and may fly over you on their exit giving you a beautiful sight and sound.

10/10 recommend. I love my morning walks there with my daughter and spouse. We have incorporated it into our daily routine. My daughter absolutely loves them swings! There playground is great for kids of all ages. They have such a nice bike/walking path and with the fall foliage it's absolutely beautiful.

Such a transformation since I was a kid here in Manchester. More activities and best use of space it's ever been. Newer, safe equipment for all ages and enjoyable walking areas for adults.

This is a beautiful park!! Kinda small, but really peacefully, very good maintenance, nice gym bars, and a decent parking lot. What a gem I just found!
Good for walking and relaxing nearby.

Nice practice spot. You’ll always catch something but they are all small. Downside is don’t go on rainy weeks because the low gets filled with debri.
This course has gotten a million times better in the last five years. It used to be sketchy with lots of unhoused people and drug users. The disc golf course has chased them all away. The park has gotten much cleaner, and they've even added some sculptures and fountains for aesthetics.
There's still some glass out there, but they've been steadily cleaning it up. It just keeps coming up from the ground from previous years.

Atmosphere was nice it’s right next to a town pool quite many fishes at this location. There was limited seating but there still was some. There’s a nice bridge that connects you to the other side if you want to go definitely a nice place to drop by for a couple of hours.

For me the main attraction is the peacefulness of the water and fishing. Fishing seems to be pretty decent, got 4-5 fish in an hour or so, the pier going into the pond is a nice touch
This park is beautiful. Nice trails, beautiful playground for the kids. I just love Manchester, CT. They take very well care of their town. I just recently moved here and have only been living here for a year and visited so many parks that they do have to offer, and I may say beautiful.
It's a very nice area for a walk or run. As I was with my son and his boyscouts troop cleaning up the trails making it look better and setting up some park benches
What a dump. Garbage fills the water, vagrants everywhere, broken glass and beer cans in the parking lot. Walked around for 10 mins and left

It's nice to have a park on Main St. Not too big but a nice park with live music Thursday nights in the summer.
A nice perfect sized park to stop and get in a short walk to stretch your legs before journeying elsewhere. There are walking paths and benches throughout, and nice water features in the man-made pond. A couple of pavilions for a picnic too.

I picked up a new kayak and brought it here just to get a feel for it. Union pond is actually quite a bit larger than I expected and It was a great experience. Especially when I was paddling across the water and a bald eagle flew overhead. I haven't tried the trails out yet but the parking lot was full the day that I went and it seemed like everyone was enjoying the entire area and all it had to offer. If you enjoy the outdoors, give it a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Watched my great niece's soccer game. Good field, has bleachers to accommodate a decent sized crowd.

I've been coming here for years by myself and with my kids. Love seeing the geese (hate stepping in the poop). The fishing pier is always a calming activity. Watching the water on a sunny day is so relaxing. Recommend it for those that want a nice place to unwind. Only downside is parking if you are driving there.

Nice hiking trails, beautiful scenery. Trails can be a little buddy in places, so wear boots if it has recently rained. The old log cabin is really nice, although I hope the tiwn comes through on the repairs it needs.

Very nice little mountain trail system, definitely nothing strenuous, but a nice hike with a solid view at the top overlooking most of CT and beyond when it's clearer out I'm sure! Cool old cabin down at the bottom with some history behind it too!

Great view up the hill. Mountain bike trails (I followed the white markers) are well kept for the most part. Solid rock features for beginner/medium skill and good roots for hucking.

There was a downed tree on part of the trail, but they may have left it for hopping, I don't know.

Parking was easy, but be wary of the one way bridge!

Awesome park for the whole family! Animal friendly park with so much to do! Tennis courts, 4 basketball courts, 2 racket ball courts, baseball and soccer fields, several play gyms for all ages and abilities, bathrooms, picnic benches, a long walking trail that leads into the woods and goes on to the trail from Rhode Island to Massachusetts I believe.

Love this place. We usually come here in the evening. Very calm and serene. Beautiful pond and places to sit and enjoy the view. The wooden deck where you can stand and do fishing or photography. People catch fish but do not eat the catch (as per the message on board). Due to the small parking space, only a limited number of cars can be parked. But across the street, there is a big parking lot, so accessibility is not an issue. Dominos pizza is not too far from here..in case you want to bring your pizza. :-)

I love going to this pond to fish or swim in the public pool with the kids. We really like this particular pool because it is very deep and usually clean with really awesome lifeguards that do their job well and enjoy it while treating everyone with kindness. I remember this one lifeguard in particular that helped my son pass the swim test last year. He was cheering him on and showing him how to swim properly. Great place to fish and have a picnic!

This is just a really beautiful little park to sit and enjoy a small piece of nature. My son has always enjoyed going to the park where he can run around a bit, see and feed some animals and just enjoy nature. The park sits on the edge of a calm body of water where you can see some ducks, birds, fish, and squirrels which you can also feed if you like. If the time is right, you may even see a large bunch of ducks, and they will usually come right up to you if they think you might have bread or food to feed them. Just as you would with any wild animals, Please be sure to use care and caution when dealing with them, and i'm sure you and or your family will have a great time! 😊

Union Pond has a very nice hiking trail around it that goes through Northwest Park. There is also an exercise trail inside the park and a platform with a beautiful view of the pond. In the winter there is an ice skating rink, if the weather stays below freezing.
A great little spot to walk even in the winter!
Very easy, level, historic path. We walked from the Hilliard St parking lot to Cheney Mills and back again, 3.46 miles. Cool mural and pillar artwork by Ben Keller added at the Cheney Mills end in 2021.

This park has some really cute areas in it. Great for Frisbee fans. Free parking. Its never too busy. Has picnic tables and covered areas. No play ground. The reason it gets 4 and not 5 is there are quite a few homeless and their belongings take up some of the areas. You wouldn't want a child touching that.

So much to do...basketball, racquetball, bike path, walking path, dog park, playground, water features, music garden. Great place to clear your head. Next door to the Hungry Tiger..apparently that's where you can find the best burger in town. Grab a burger and eat it under the gazebo at the park.

A wonderfully small and quiet park. Excellent for fishing or hiking. If your lucky you may see many turtles sun bathing during the hottest parts of the day. During the summer the pool opens up and provides a much needed respite during the hottest days of summer. A pond, a hike and a pool? What more could you ask for from a park?

Amazing place to spend the day! Play equipment is new, and clean. It does require supervision for smaller children as there are some equipment with fairly high openings.
That's a creek, and walking trails as well. Three portapotty should be avoided at all costs so plan accordingly.

Very nice pond with swimming pool. Not a lot of fish, but there is some geese.
It was a very nice hike/walk. You are able to stay where your comfort level is regarding easy or a bit more challenging. Lots of offshoots to explore and make you time longer or shorter.
Nice little park with a 1.5 mile paved walking path and frisbee golf course. Partially wooded, but close to the main roads and neighborhoods. Great pond and stream. Abuts the Cheney Rail trail. Worth a visit.
Sometimes there are cool events, fairs, live music, food trucks etc. It's next to the library and has lots of places to eat nearby so it can be a nice place ti grab a book with the kids and a bite to eat, bring a blanket and sit under the tree and have a picnic - but, it is also near a homeless shelter and there is a methadone clinic within walking distance so there are also a lot of homeless people and addicts sitting in the walls, the steps, asking for money. It makes me very uncomfortable since I am a petite young woman with 2 little kids and I have stopped bringing my kids there after a couple scary experiences. If there weren't so many unsavory characters I would go back.

Great trails but there are quite a few so you have to pay attention or put on your GPS and mark where you parked. Your short walk could turn into a very long hike. The main trails are marked and then there are paths that go off on there own. We saw lots of wildlife, my daughter loved the pond and the ducks. The bridge was beautiful with all those arches. Made for a nice cool and relaxing walk through the woods with just enough adventure for the little one. Would love to go back without the younger ones and explore more of the mountain.
Nice place. Restrictions on locations dogs are allowed. Variety of paths on the site. Parking area is small and cramped.
Grab a book and do some reading or take in a Sunday service! Great place to relax!

Great mix of technical and non technical trails. Beautiful view of Hartford from the summit. Great spot for trail running and mountain biking as well. The white trail seems to be the main easier trail. Starts from the lower lot at the bottom of the water fall. Above the waterfall is the pink trail. Both go to summit (about 1.5 miles of fairly easy walking)

I have lived next to this all my life. It was a great place to have a quick hike. Even better since they renovated it into a full loop path. Great place to walk the dog and enjoy the scenery. Of course the public pool is great. But the best touch is the shallow 1ft pool for the little ones to enjoy.

This park is a lovely place to be. During the summer it is a good place to sit on a bench and crack open a book. I usually just sit down and enjoy a meal from the surrounding restaurants. Make sure to go sledding in the winter, the hill is awesome. Lastly, it has a huge open lawn that kids can run around and play on. The park has provided many memories for me and it sure will for you.
Like the trail but there are breaks in it you can't walk straight through. They are working on it. It will be better

We love exploring and helping maintain this beautiful piece of private property owned by the Manchester Land Trust. The trail around the pond is a perfect one mile loop. There is a resident Blue Herron, hundreds of turtles, frogs and thousands of fish.

We've been working down there and improving access to the trail system for months.

Nice to visit this for scenic views especially during fall or spring. There are lot of picnic spots to come
And enjoy. Small kids play area along with small birds sanctuary. So kids will enjoy this place but need more energy to walk around to see complete park.
Cute little piece of history. Visited on a school field trip. Staff was very knowledgeable and patient with the students. The amount of exhibits inside was surprising considering the size of the building from the outside. There looked to be a small gift counter but we didn't have time to stop. I did catch something that didn't seem to fit. One exhibit looked to show a school house in the late 19th to early 20th century and the paper on the desk talks about getting into a car.......

Great trail! Love that it's has a historic meaning/purpose. It's kept fairly clean. Love that it ends in a bridge at the Center Springs park side. It's pretty.
The variety of historical displays are impressive and give a good view of the past in Manchester CT. Viewing is by appointment because of the scarcity of volunteers, but a fine local history museum!
Union Pond Trail reminds me of the long walks along the St-Lawrence river. The trees and the water really brings you out of your daily routine. Lucky to have such a place and be able to forget about all the malls, highways, and traffic.
