They were all replicas BECAUSE:
The Russian government sent the originals to an exhibition in the EU and it was ILLEGALLY CONFISCATED so they now do not send anything outside the country... This was horrible to hear that this can happen!!! Shocking and shameful actions....

I went there with no expectations, but was pleasently surprised by the extent of the stone and iron age collection on the first floor. I was able to reinforce the knowledge with my daughter who was just recently studying the period. The exhibition was very detailed and extensive and it continued into Roman times. The first floor also exhibits extensive collection of coins and paper money from iron age to today all stored in small rooms behind thick vaulted doors so some may find the rooms claustrophobic.
The upper two floors hold paintings and some sculptures mostly from Serbian authors from different periods. It also holds a few less known paintings from Gauguin, Matisse, Monet, Picasso, Degas.
There's also an Egyptian mummy exhibited on the third floor that was bought by serbian philanthropist in Luxor and brought to Belgrade about 150 years ago.
There's a very small and limited souvenir shop where I couldn't find anything interesting. There's no caffeteria, only a room with vending machines on the third floor.

Very lovely museum, Serbia has a very rich and wonderful history; this is a very unique and special country and people. This is a wonderful museum that showcases its rich cultural heritage and history. I really enjoyed my time here, the museum is very beautiful and has lots to see. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, I would definitely recommend visiting this museum if and when you’re in Belgrade. Lots to see and do in this wonderful city.
Beautiful 1940 chirch, build in 14s architecture. New, splendid frescoes and icons. Works in progress, but it is open. Easy to find, climb the hill behind the post office on Parliament sq. Tram terminus. Free entrance. Candles outside.

The Balkan region and Serbia in particular are a very interesting area to explore. but the way the exposition looks, how small it is, is very frustrating. a huge amount of text, very few exhibits. the entire exhibition fits on one floor. the museum was very disappointing

This is the biggest cathedral in the Balkan. The view inside is stunning. You might see people praying; so you should be respectful and not make loud noise. It feels peaceful being inside the cathedral.

It is one of the most beautiful churches in Belgrade and pretty much walkable if your hotel is in the city center. You feel at peace the minute you enter. If you're new, spend some moments in silence, and there are sheets of paper where you can write your petitions. Have a blessed trip.
The view of this cathedral is stunning - when you get inside you feel so tiny

The museum has so much potential, especially for interactive games and attractions but the space is so much limited. It is still worth a visit but it could be much better if they had more space. There are guided tours every one hour so check their website before you go. They have tours in English and Serbian and some of them are full. Also, they accept only Serbian cash!
The museum is interesting but small. Limited people are admitted on the hour for a 45 minute program. Reservations are not accepted so arriving early is likely necessary. The program starts with a film, followed by demonstrations with a huge Tesla Coil lighting long bulbs we held. Then, with a small coil, I elected to feel the shock. (Note that only local currency is accepted for admission.)
I mean, it is only $3 for general entry and $5 for entry into the special collection! I have to say Belgrade is amazing, and everything (except dining on Kneza Mihaila) is very inexpensive.

Outdated exposition with a a lot of printed text info that I can find easily in Wikipedia at anytime. No interactive things. Basically, the atmosphere seems sad, dark and boring. Do not try to come here with a children.
An amazing Serbian Orthodox Church that is a must visit. I did not know about the catacombs below, so be sure to check that out if you go. Please be thoughtful and wear pants. No one bothers if you don't, but it is the national church of Serbia, so if you can, you should. The park around the church is a nice place to relax for a bit before you continue your tour.

For all the history buffs, this is a must visit. Rs600 ticket for contemporary and current exhibits. Not sure what that meant.
But the museum’s layout of exhibits takes you through the development of Serbia from pre-history to modern history with separate exhibits for the history of coins and art. There is even an Egyptian mummy in the museum!

Unfortunately stuff at the entry is very grumpy and rude! You have more welcoming attitude at security control in Germany airports! I wish they could be more customer oriented.

- not many places to sit in the exhibition room, if you want to sit
- no cafeteria (probably under development) as there are only vending machines with coffee and snacks with decent prices. But, be aware they are not giving changes, so prepare banknotes
- you have to bend yourself to read small description stickers for each painting, unless you are a kid or a midget (who made a decision to put them on 1m height?! C'mon, do you even heard about ergonomic of museum facility ? Apparently not!)
- toilet facility is good thou

Beautiful church in Belgrade located in the middle of a park. The serenity inside calms your heart and many worshippers are sitting in silence praying and contemplating.

A beautiful Orthodox Catholic Church. The area also has a wonderful park for relaxation. The church itself has wonderful relics and beautiful artwork. It is a must visit while you are in Belgrade. It was built in the Serbo-Byzantine style by the Krstić brothers, completed in 1940, on the site of a previous church dating to 1835. It is one of the largest churches in the country.
A very nice museum dedicated to Nikola Tesla. Mandatory guided tour takes 1h. There is an English and Serbian version. You can see many personal belongings of Nikola Tesla including his shoes. Entry ticket costs 450 RSD. The staff is friendly and helpful. Don't be late otherwise you will want another tour.
A small nation made something big, although briefly. That feeling of greatness that passed and nostalgia(if you are a bit older) is so strong here. Accepting one's heritage is a thing to see. Beautiful.

The fortress is located in the park and it is really very convenient because you can take your time to enjoy the beautiful views of the river and the city. There are outdoor cafes inside the park for snacks.

Amazing park within a fortress. Enjoyed walking around and taking in the views. Make sure to visit all of the gates and the church. Has something for everyone: museums, walls, dinosaurs, cafes, towers, church's, gates, wells, playgrounds, walking paths, views and parks.
Beautiful church. Really enjoyed walking around it and through it. Beautiful gold with amazing depictions of Jesus throughout the interior. Not too crowded even when I visited on a Saturday. It is open for most of the day. Make sure to also walk around the park that is right next to the church. Would recommend to anyone if they are visiting Belgrade.

We love this basilica. Unlike its brother on the hill, St. Sava, this church has beauty without the glitz and gold. The paintings are awesome as is the sedate and peaceful feeling you get inside. It is truly a place of serenity and stillness that allow for reflection and prayer.

Beautiful inside. Beware of pick pockets. One of our group nearly had his wallet stolen from his pocket. Luckily someone spotted it and was carrying a walking stick to fend him off. It was 3 men who appeared to be tourists.
Big lake in the park the water is transparent clean we saw many fishes there in water.

Even those who are not religious will find it interesting to visit. The church is quite large-scale, with detailed mosaics. There were no clothing restrictions when entering, everything could be photographed and entry was free for everyone.
The fort is huge. You can spend hours walking there and enjoying the views. A lot of the fort has been restored which makes the whole place super awesome. A large park has also been made inside the fort.

The museum consists of three parts, one dealing with the establishment and history of the Medieval principality of Serbia and the other two flanking the former dedicated to the two princely dynasties of modern Serbia. As such it is very well organized and informative although it contains mostly pictures and text. Everything is translated to English, the level of detail provided and commitment demanded from the visitor is "medium", not too heavy on the text but with enough "meat" for the more serious history museum buff
Like Greek churches. It is a simple and beautiful church. It looks very big from the outside. It matches the park next to it. I like it. It's a must-see.

The house of flowers is really unique and well maintained, but the museum contains quite worthless things because the most valuable ones were stolen by the politicians who came to power after Tito's death.
Magnificent! The Temple of Saint Sava is grand, well decorated and a true masterpiece. It’s hard to understand just how big it is until your standing in front of it. The interior is beautifully decorated and the architecture is beautiful! Recommend checking this Temple out and make sure to really appreciate all the detail.
wonderful experience, free to enter, can walk around freely and see so many sites. Roman well was 170 pp and worth it! tower was 100 and not worth it, you get a better view from the victor monument. people are friendly, easy to walk around. do not use the trolley, it’s just a ride around the park without narration.
Nice museum of the history of Nicola Tesla. Every hour a small tour is given to max 60 people. A small exhibition, a video and some interactive experiments with the famous Tesla Coil. Also fun for children. If you have a group of 10 or more tickets are cheaper but you have to book tickets in advance. Tickets at the door can only be payed in (local) cash.
The place you need to visit if you want to learn about the history of the region where Serbia is located starting from the ancient times, archeology, numismatic, art from different centuries by local and international artists. There is a permanent and temporary exhibition. If you want to visit everything the ticket is 600 Serbian dinars for adults, they have reductions for students, disabled people, groups etc. Even though I visited it on Saturday, it was not crowded. I had a nice time there.

Pleasant and informative, enough details and exhibits to keep you interested, but manageable so that you can take everything in without being overwhelmed.
It is a large garden located on the side of the river, suitable for picnics with the family and children. It is also possible to rent bicycles and stroll around the garden. There are free games for children, but they are somewhat old. My expectations are that the interest in the garden will be greater in terms of dilapidated buildings and cleaning. The area of the garden can be invested in restaurants More and renewed ideas, but in general, families intend to swim in the river and enjoy eating crisps, drinks and ice cream. I do not recommend it as a tourist destination, but it is suitable for the people of the neighboring areas and the residents of the country 💖

Excellent! The museum is small but enough for learning about him. They organize a tour with fixed price for tourists every hour. We were there around 10.30 am and did not wait so much to get in. They don’t accept credit card so better to go there with Serbian dinar. Since there are 50 people in the group, better to be in front to listen better the guide. Overall, definitely worth the visit!

This is a great place to see - inside and around you can admire a lot of historical items - tanks, canons, swards and other types of arms from old times, clothes, glasses and a lot of other objects. The fortress is impressive and the view is really great. This is a place where I'd love to return.
A super pretty church. It’s a Serbian Orthodox Church located in the Tašmajdan park in Belgrade. The church has three altars. There is one mosaic which depicts the Annunciation.
A very underrated museum. A must visit if you're in Belgrade! The place is gigantic with plenty of exhibitions. If you love history, this place is for you. From prehistoric civilization, Roman Empire period, Ottoman Empire period, Austro Hungarian period, up until Yugoslavia period, it's all here. There's even a mummy from ancient Egypt.

Its a place praising dictator, which made us feel uncomfortable to say the least. Museum itself is very disorganised and has bad layout. No clear signs. Felt like all artefacts were dumped in one place.
Couldn't visit this time due to protests, but still got a glimpse of this historical monument. It used to be a milestone for Christian community back in the days, having the mosque at the other end of the street.

Widać, że pamięć o Broz -Tito jest ważną częścią nie tylko serbskiej historii, ale to nie krypta z Wawelu (jak dla Lecha). The historical museum is located in the centre of the city in Nikola Pasic Square. The museum was established in 1963 and today it preserves over 35,000 exhibits in its collection. The only thing we saw on the visit was pictures. The ticket price is 200 din.
The historical and oldest part of the city. A large fortress with many famous gates. A must-see for every tourist and even better if you have an expert guide with you. The park also includes a Zoo, a Dino park, sports fields, children's playgrounds, restaurants, churches... The fortress offers a beautiful view of the confluence of the Sava River and the Danube.
Good biking spot and relaxation too. Full circle arround the lake is must!

Saborna Church
The Church of the Holy Archangel Michael in Belgrade is better known as Saborna crkva (the Cathedral). The term cathedral means that it is the main city church, headed by a bishop. Therefore, this church proudly bears the title of the main one in the entire city, and it stands out in many other ways, from its historical and artistic significance to the rich treasury and graves of famous people in Serbia.
Saborna crkva is the largest Orthodox church erected during the existence of the Principality of Serbia. It was built in the neoclassical style with baroque elements, as a single-nave building.

One of my favourite places in Beograd is Ada Lake or popular name "Beograd's Sea. Except swimming, you can do a lot of things, walking, sports, there are mini trains going around the lake. There is a water skiing, even a nudist part. And of course a lot of cafés and restaurants. You can enjoy there during the day or in the evening. Worth a visit!

This is a very special institution to visit in Serbia, for its holiness, history and architecture.
