My recent experience at Da Nang restaurant left me disappointed and deeply concerned about the ethical and trustworthiness of their business practices. I ordered their "Banh Mi Bo Kho" (Beef Stew), and what I received can only be described as a bowl filled with 98% beef fat. This incident raises serious questions about the integrity of this restaurant and has far-reaching implications for both customers and the community as a whole.

First and foremost, it is crucial to emphasize the unethical nature of the restaurant's actions. Serving a dish that is overwhelmingly composed of beef fat not only misleads customers but also demonstrates a blatant disregard for their well-being. This deceptive practice is unethical and constitutes false advertising, as the menu item promised a flavorful beef stew, not a greasy bowl of fat. It undermines the trust that customecustomers' trustets a dangerous precedent for the industry.

Moreover, such unethical behaviour reflects poorly on the entire Vietnamese cuisine community. Vietnamese cuisine is known for its exquisite flavours, balance of ingredients, and the care with which dishes are prepared. This incident tarnishes the reputation of Vietnamese cuisine by associating it with deceitful practices. It is disheartening to see a restaurant compromise the image of a rich culinary tradition that has brought joy to countless people around the world.

The impact of this unscrupulous act extends beyond the individual customer. It has broader consequences for the community, especially in a diverse neighbourhood like Jane and Finch. Restaurants play a significant role in shaping the cultural identity and reputation of a neighbourhood. When a restaurant engages in unethical practices, it reflects poorly on the entire community. Such incidents can deter potential visitors and investors, hindering the economic and social growth of the area.

Furthermore, unethical behaviour by a restaurant can also lead to economic repercussions for local businesses. Customers who feel betrayed by one establishment are less likely to explore other dining options in the area. This can hurt the livelihoods of honest, hardworking restaurateurs who rely on the support of the community to thrive.

In light of this unfortunate experience, I strongly recommend that patrons consider alternative Vietnamese restaurants in the Jane and Finch area that genuinely respect their customers. Supporting businesses that uphold ethical standards is not only a matter of personal satisfaction but also a means of encouraging responsible and trustworthy practices in the culinary industry.

In conclusion, the incident involving the deceptive serving of "Banh Mi Bo Kho" with an overwhelming amount of beef fat is a clear example of unethical and untrustworthy behaviour by the restaurant. It not only harms individual customers but also hurts the reputation of Vietnamese cuisine and the community as a whole. As consumers, we have the power to demand transparency, integrity, and ethical practices from the establishments we patronize. It is essential to hold such businesses accountable and support those who genuinely value their customers and community. This experience serves as a stark reminder of the importance of ethical conduct in the restaurant industry and the consequences of failing to uphold it.

I got to know this place from my wife, she said it's famous for the most popular dish, which is seafood hotpot. We came here twice, so far, and recently ordered the hotpot, I have to say it's deserved the reputation, very tasty. I've also tried the chicken wings, beef salad, spring-rolls and the rice with grilled pork, all nice. Just the restaurant is small, so the queue line is expected to be long in the weekend. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Everytime i come here i get the same thing. They have a lot on their menu but this is really good. It comes with a nice shrimp sauce and this dish is really tasty. So good I had to bring back my family and friends. I also love the complimentary tea and their smoothies.

First time visiting a Vietnamese joint where the owners don't speak Chinese. Lot of Vietnamese diners which is a good sign.
Portions are huge. I lined up 5 sauces to go with my rice dish, and a standard siracha which I passed on .
A few questions about hygiene, but the food more than makes up for it. 3 stars for atmosphere cause the doors were left open , to probably save on AC costs .
Would I go back? If I was in the area , then yes.

Very authentic vietnamese food. The place is small and often crowded, but the friendly service and food quality make up for the small space. It’s best to sit outdoor to avoid the smoke from the hot pot. Definitely recommend the hot pot, chicken wings and 7-course beef ( Bò 7 món).
TBH this is one of the worst pho restos I've been. In terms of food and flavour - lacking.
Only two people working front of house so service was very slow. Their spring rolls fried overpriced to the max.

Recently renovated under new management. Lady is very nice. Store is bright and modern looking. I bought sticky rice with mung bean and pork (generously filled) wrapped in banana leaves, and banh mi sandwiches on various occasions and tastes delicious every time. Recommend!
Came here for lunch. Tucked away on the corner of the plaza. The place is a bit run down but the food was great. Decent portion and taste. Price is very reasonable.

Personal opinion, One of the best pho in Toronto. Soup very clear, but still strong enough for taste, you won't feel thirsty afterward (Aka not much MSG).

The beef bone pho is very tasty. Lots of meat on the bone. Large size only. $20. They serve you iced tea, which is actually ice in tea. I drank that in vietnam with coffee. It brings back memories.

Truly a hole in the wall gem! Pho is quite clean and tasty! Would recommend the 7 types of beef hotpot, very unique tasty dish. Prices are also good 14.50 for a large pho bowl!
Some dishes are very traditional from central of Vietnam! I have been here a few time and tried some of them, but the only keep in mind is "Mì Quảng"; the taste made you feel like you are right on the street in Vietnam!

New owner nicely renovated the store. However, when I went to pay by card the cashier decided to tip themselves before I tapped. I was carrying my baby and didn't have time to dispute. Make sure you check the amount before you make payment. The food quality is still good.

Great food in a bit of an odd location. Do not judge it by the outside, the inside was very clean and service was quick.

I ordered the seafood noodle soup which had good flavour, a better portion that other pho places I’ve been to, and an assortment of seafood. Lots of soybeans sprouts and basil given which is always a plus. Good vegetarian options too, we also ordered the tofu veggie fresh roll. The price is very reasonable.

Service was fast and friendly, huge menu.
Food came out reasonably quick and they offset some of the dishes. We got a beef dish and it was slightly lacking in the beef but was still good. Only thing was the tea had a weird taste best described as soapy.
I would return maybe not for the tea.

I went here a while back for lunch, and I got a small soup with no meat (it was 6-8$), the prices were so affordable and the portions were great and filling.
The quality of the soup was amazing, it tasted really good. What i really liked were the noodles in the soup, I prefer thin noodles. I also got a lychee milkshake and it was really good!

I love banh mi but not from here. I wanted to try another banh mi place and since I was in the area, I thought I'd give it a try. Nothing special about the banh mi here. I've had better.
The place doesn’t actually sell pho anymore and sell only bahn mi and drinks.
Very good value, seems authentic with a lineup of Vietnamese aunties. Would go back.

I got coffee with condescend milk and Vermicelli with spring roll and pork.
Disappointed with the drink they gave it to me as take out. I like the whole experience of the coffee and was let down. My vermicelli was hot and it didn’t taste good at all. I’m not a fan of hot vermicelli, the spring roll was oily not good at all.

Went here for the first time, and it surpassed expectations. Viet food is something I grew up with all my life, and after trying dozens of Viet places around Canada, this might be my favourite. Flavourful broth, sauces, tender meats, very reasonable portion sizes. Service was on the better end for Viet restaurants, with the owner going around regularly to make sure customers had everything they needed.

I'm gonna come back for round 2
It was my first time here and it was really good. We order hot pot and the taste was delicious. It’s an affordable restaurant and a Vietnamese friend recommended.

My family’s go to place for bun thit nuong and this goat noodle soup that my dad always ordered. I personally order my bun without veggies which is why you see so much noodles in my attached photo. I ordered Grilled chicken with rice along with sautéed veggies and my friend ordered grilled chicken with fries and steamed egg with rice. Very tasty food, good portion and very understanding staff. I asked them to mix the grilled chicken with veggies in a sauce so that it is not completely dry which they happily did. They also serve you green tea when you take a seat which is very welcoming. I would say good food at moderate price.
We ordered bánh xèo aka Vietnamese rice pancake, the phở special, and bánh tráng trộn which is a popular street food appetizer. Our picky 13 and 17 y/o boys were impressed with their phở and they noticed the prices were better than most Việt restaurants we have been to. The restaurant is small and packed but the atmosphere was homey due to the friendly customer service accompanied by the authentic dishes. The manager was very warm and funny which was a plus. We would absolutely come back again and again.

(Edited REVIEW CHANGE 5 STARS TO 3) So good, first time there, loved the service and quality of food amazing, we ordered two Pho soups, very large portion, I accidentally ordered beef tendon soup never having had I before and I was thrown off thinking I had ordered a regular rare beef either way it was excellent, never knew I was a fan of tendon until now! Glad we gave this place a try we'll definitely be back.

Monday July 31st 3:00pm

Went today cold rolls are usually good today the tofu was cold and mushy usually they're good but it tasted off, ordered beef tendon soup the tendons had skin on them and were not tender as they usually are they were disgusting, next I ordered bubble tea and didn't receive it until my meal was done and I was at the counter paying. I usually get it with my meal why is the lady at the counter giving me a rude face because I don't want to pay for it, she says it's ready yet all the other tables received their bubble teas with their meals and I am receiving it as I'm walking out? No way will I pay for it or come back.

The food was very good. Portions is slightly less, but the broth was exceptional.

I like the fact that they gave everyone separate platers of beans sprouts and herbs, huge plus.
Best Vietnamese Banh Mi (Sandwich) in Toronto, extremely fresh tasty ingredients to make a truly authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi flavour. Buy Banh Mi every weekend for continuous 1 year but still buy more.
My favourite dishes: Seafood with rice & egg noodles soup, Beef Fried Rice, Grilled Pork Chop-Shredded Pork Skin-Steamed Egg, Rare Beef-Brisket with beef balls rice noodle soup, Grilled Pork&Spring rolls with vermicelli noodles.
Reasonable prices and friendly servers.
Not spacious but a good place for a family to dine after shopping at FreshCo, Jane&Finch Mall, Kien Hung Super Market.
Then head to Tim Hortons or McCoffee neadby.
A highly recommended Vietnamese Restaurant!

I have tried a couple of Vietnamese restaurants, from vegetarian to Pho, in Toronto. I would like to say this one was the best of all my experiences here; it was a Vietnamese physical operation family restaurant, and all the customers were Vietnamese; this means you can be trusted the dishes and whatever you ordered. I highly recommend the Golden fried spring roll.

Don't Recommend. Noodle are soft, soup is bland. Will not come back. Spring rolls with not a authentic type of fish sauce is a no go.
Honestly wasn’t too happy with my bowl of pho. Maybe it was just this batch but my noodles and beef were way over cooked. Everything was breaking apart as i was eating. I’ve come here twice before, it’s not bad but i would definitely recommend other pho spots first. Ice coffee was great. friendly staff and service. they were accommodating and I’ll come back to try their banh mi sandwiches.

One of the top spots for authentic eats. The staff is very friendly and the prices are quite reasonable.

The chicken wings are a must order. Seriously the best fish sauce marinade. The portions are generous, especially their rice dishes. I personally don’t eat bun mung vit and not many places offer it but it is also a highly recommended dish here. They are known for their 7 beef dish so I’m already anticipating my next visit!
I just had to try this place out for their banh mi and well deserved hype review. Its very good here and beats out many places that are specialized for it. I got 3 and we finished in in 5 minutes. Im just craving for another lne. Will try out their other menus for other things. Its truly hidden gem in the corner .

One of my favourite places for a quick sub that's convenient and healthy! I prefer this over Subway because of the quality of cold cuts and the care given to each sub.

Aside from being bigger than a regular sub proportionally, you get more bang for your buck with every bite and visit as they have a rewards system for buying a certain amount and getting a free one! Who doesn't love a free meal?

If you're ever in a rush or need something quick, Que Huong is a go to!
Bahn mi was pretty good but salty because of the meat. Accepted cash only and was exactly $5

I love this place. My mom and I come here all the time because the Vietnamese food here is very authentic. I love the pho, the vermicelli, the rice dishes, the spring rolls, the fresh rolls and the milkshakes.

Small parking lot for this plaza and it can be a mess to get in and out of. Other than that, it’s in a very convenient location just off the highway.

I don't think I've ever had bad bún from any Vietnamese restaurant, and this was also my first time trying the red Vietnamese sausage. I knew it would be good but the flavour definitely surprised me, as it was a bit herby. I wish there would've been a bit more noodles and a bit less lettuce, but overall it was delicious. Service was kinda scanty because I think only one guy was working (late afternoon on a weekday) but he was polite and quick when we caught his attention. I also don't know if our table was wiped before we sat down; it wasn't a huge mess but it definitely wasn't 100% clean with some dried stains and a whole chili pepper lying there. Other than that, it was a good experience.
Delicious food for reasonable prices! We were welcomed with a warm green tea. We began with spring rolls for appetisers and shrimp 🍤 Pad thai for main course the portions are generous so make sure you have space to eat. My friend had the Pho and said it was 🤤 delicious also. The waitress was friendly and asked us how our food was, the restaurant was clean and our table had plenty of sauces to use to our liking

1. Appearance: 10/10 ⭐️ I ordered - Grilled Beef, with Spring Roll, Vermicelli, Vegetables, Fish Sauce & Peanuts. When I first opened the take out box everything looked very very fresh and appetizing. Good amount of toppings, everything spread out nicely.

2. Smell: 10/10 ⭐️ Very pleasant smell of marinated beef, pickled vegetables and fish sauce. Absolutely zero complaints, made my mouth water when I first smelled it. I could tell everything was made fresh.

3. Taste: 10/10 ⭐️ Beef was very tasty, marinated in a delicious sauce, I wish there was more of it in the dish! Noodles themselves have no flavour so when you mix it with sauce + veggies + beef it brings together the whole new delicious experience and flavours! Nothing tasted off , I was truly surprised with how balanced all the flavours were!

4. Texture: 10/10 ⭐️ Beef was so juicy and tasty absolutely zero complaints, noodles were chewy yet with a bite to them, spring roll was fried just right - not greasy or soggy, vegetables were crunchy and fresh .

5. Temperature: 10/10 ⭐️ Food was delivered piping hot and ready to eat.

6. Flavour: 10/10 ⭐️ Overall flavour was just incredible, I loved how all the ingredients went so well together and the sauce just complimented the dish!

7. Price: 9/10 ⭐️ Their menu is a bit on a pricier side, and the utensils cost extra as well. But it’s well worth it!

Thank you for a great experience, the food was truly made with love! You can be sure I’ll be coming back.

Definitely would recommend Toronto Pho! 10/10 ⭐️

This place was not very good. My husband’s pho was on the sweeter side and the portion was significantly smaller than what you’d expect for an XL. I ordered the bun bo hue and they don’t give the traditional meats and blood - it was just flank meat and that was it. Also lacked the usual strong lemongrass flavour. Overall we would not be going back here and there are a variety of fantastic pho restaurants in the area that we’d choose over this place (such as pho huong trang and pho con bo!)

This is the clean and yummy Vietnamese pho restaurant. Others standout are the Vietnamese sandwiches. It's one of the best in Toronto. You should try them out to appreciate that but they
must be freshly made of course. The prices are

I ordered the extra large pho for $16.50 plus tax and service fee on Ubereats. It was small for a extra large - there was not much meat, noodles, just a little bit of bean sprouts, and almost 1 container of soup.

The broth is flavourful. It is a little more concentrated and has a little more oil than other pho places.

Their banh mi are pretty good, loads of veggies and herbs, the liver paste and the ham tastes amazing. It's not too salty like other banh mi places at all. I would come back to try other things on the menu.

Would recommend the fish sauce chicken wings served with sticky rice. I'll come back to try the Pho.

"Bo 7 mon" for 4 people a bit pricy and the dishes were small.

Vietnamese coffee was smelt like burnt, not sure why.

Customer service was good and really liked how the restaurant introduced to their dishes by hand written with funny sentences.

I wanted to give no star but I am thinking and hoping that what happened to us is a one time incident. I tried this place due to good reviews so I ordered through Uber for dinner. I’ve had good Bahn Mi’s and this is a complete disappointment. The veggies are not cured, the meat filling was scarce and tasted like at least 3 days old. The vietnamese coffee I was looking forward to tasted like sugar in shaved ice. My daughter said the rotisserie one even tasted like our dog’s food, chicken flavor. Sad sad. People come for quality. Let’s try to keep it up. I will probably try again but not anytime soon. I ordered 4 different flavors.

Their sticky rice with pork did too. So did their daikon cake with egg. Will be trying all those!

This place is great. My first experience and the flavours are very similar to the taste from Vietnam.

Small place, authentic Vietnamese food, food is freshly made by order and staff are very friendly. Food is delicious, place is clean and they don’t take too long to serve. Complementary tea is offered no charge with your food when you dine in. Also Vietnamese sandwiches. Dine in or take out is available, always hot and consistent flavour. I live in the area and I’ve been eating at this place for a long time, I never get disappointed. The owner is a very nice person. I highly recommend this place.

I wanted some genuine vietnamese cuisine and happend upon this place. The service was great to start off and the food was delicious and tasteful not to mention the amount you get is much more than the cost. In North American terms for Pho a small is a medium, a medium is a large and so forth. We saw one person get a large and it was so massive that it was at least good for two. I enjoyed it here and if your looking for cheap eats and great food this a great place to start.

Great sandwiches at a very reasonable price, and the service is awesome. They've got an assembly line working on your sandwich, and they pump out hundreds of sandwiches every hour. We ordered 40 sandwiches for our softball team, and they had all of them ready in less than 15 minutes...impressive since we ordered different types of sandwiches, and they were able to tag an identify each one correctly . They got it right the first time...something most fast food places would probably struggle at achieving.

When I need a boost to my spirit and energy levels. I know I can get a wide variety of delicious meal options. Love the Pho! And fresh or fried rolls. Always polite and friendly workers.

It looks nice but when you bite into it you can taste that it's lacking something. Your usual banh mi usually has the butter/mayo on one side and pate on the other, but they're all lightly spread on one side and you can't taste it. it looks nicely packed but its mainly the pickled carrots that fill it. I dont think this is normal but the meat was really dry and one of the pieces were spoiled when I got through the middle so I had to throw it out.

I hope this was just a one time unlucky occurrence because I really want to believe those 4.3 stars aren't just lies.
One of a few restaurant in Toronto that serves Bò né! It was attractive and delicious. Each portion of Bò né is served with 2 Vietnamese buns and is worth the price tag! The restaurant also serves a lot of other Vietnamese dishes.

Decent Vietnamese food, reasonable price.
There's a wide range of choices of Vietnamese food and Thai food, from appetizers, side dishes and combo.
Vietnamese, warm, cozy atmosphere.
I won't say that food here is phenomenal but absolutely wonderful.
Love this place. I have been here more than 3 times.

Wow.. it's been another 2 years since I've been here. Food still remains to be pretty good. Though I've had some better where it's more flavorful.. but overall, this place continues to be pretty good for the value and portions.

Bun Bo Hue $12.99
A spicy beef noodle soup with a lot of variety of beef and cured meats.

Bun Mam $13.25
Fish anchovy soup based noodles with fish, pork and shrimp.

Rare beef with tripe noodle soup. X-large $14
Not bad. Very typical and standard soup.

2019/12 4★ review: still great. Prices to portions to meat quantity overall very good. Worth the visit. Portions of herbs good too. Flavourful yet not too salty. Plaza still sketchy. At least it's easy to get in and out.

2017 review: Good food. Portions just right. Great taste. Definitely would come again. Yes. It's that good for the price. Three plaza it's in however is a little sketchy..... But otherwise a great restaurant.

Always get the fried chicken wings tossed in sauce. They are absolutely delicious! They just recently changed their coffee grains to something with a more with a chocolatey aroma.
