I asked for EXTRA curry for my Singapore noodles and for a little less spice on my General Tso. I think they forgot the curry entirely :( So bland. The wonton soup was bland, and the General Tso had so much water at the bottom. Adding; I shouldn't have to add soy sauce (I try to minimize soy) to get flavour from the wonton soup and as far as all the water at the bottom of the General Tso (in response to your response) if I had known and you don't specify anywhere, I would not have ordered it. The chicken was overcooked and dry and the broccoli was almost raw. It also came without rice, maybe the rice would have soaked up some of the water? Who knows. When someone gives feedback, it's an opportunity to improve. Finding that any food ordered through UberEats is almost always subpar.

We ordered from 955 Chinese Food for the first time this evening. It was delivered quickly and arrived piping hot. All four dishes were delicious. They will now be our go-to for Chinese food.

I can only hope this was a bad night for these guys, but I’ll tell you, my meal was horrible. The Shrimp Pad Thai did not taste like Pad Thai at all. It had spaghetti noodles instead of flat rice noodles, rubbery, overcooked shrimp and it barely tasted of tamarind. The dish had a weird orange colour instead of the rich brownish colouring of a nice tamarind sauce. It also tasted as if it had been sitting on a counter for hours before it was delivered to an unsuspecting customer…me.
The chicken balls were heavy, laden with grease and tough. Inedible.
I’ve ordered from here several times before with good results of fine Chinese food. This experience has put me off trying 955 again anytime soon. I think I’ll go back to my old place, Eden, and give them a shot at regaining my patronage, even though they can be hit or miss sometimes too. If anyone has a solution for good Chinese delivery in the Leslieville/Riverside/Beach area, please leave me a comment.

Authentic Cantonese cuisine of the highest calibre! Dishes are superbly executed with top quality ingredients - not a greasy Chinese-Canadian diner but a true world-class restaurant that's several cuts above. Decent and competitive prices, hence good value too. Excellent service, very attentive and warm staff. Overall, a really great place and hidden gem!

Insanely good Cantonese chow mein. Vegetables perfectly steamed; chicken, pork, and shrimp perfectly cooked. Noodles have a nice chew too. Easily the best for the $ on the west side of town. And it's run by the absolute nicest people.

The owners and staff are great people, always appreciate the fact that you’re eating there. Food is great tasting and healthy, best value for money I have seen in a long time. I hope for it to stay this way as they seem to really care about the community. Would come here every week!

Just realized they moved from Kingston Rd takeout only location to a nice new full restaurant at Queen St E. Cantonese chow mein loaded with meats and seafood was very good. The sour soup was one of the best I've ever eaten, with a beautiful balance of sour and umami flavours. Eat here. 👄
We ordered Ubereats takeout. This place messed up our order. We ordered chicken Chow Mein but they gave us over fried noodles with no chicken.

Disappointing. We won't order from here again.

Fyi the app gave us our money back for that dish.

Been going here for years, but under the service of Alex and his mom, it is more enjoyable. Food portions and prices keep our family coming back. Also they show such an appreciation each time we return. A hidden gem for sure!
We have been supporting this adorable family run and owned restaurant for years!! They’re so nice! We get the dinner for two every Friday from them :) the chicken balls are massive and delicious, the wings are so crispy and the chop suey is so fresh. Also love the rice, corn soup and crispy beef. Will always support them!

Great food, good location, but poor service. We ordered several dishes, spicy chicken cartilage, crispy beef, and shrimp skewer, which were all delicious. However, our order for chicken dumplings was forgotten, and we waited a long time without any communication from the staff. Good food, but they need to improve their service.

Wanted to see how this place compared to other hand pulled noodle restaurants that I've tried. Overall I'd say the noodles are decent, and the soup is good. The value for money here is fantastic and dishes are quite cheap. I think this place is probably more notable for side dishes from what I've heard, and we tried the sesame pancake with beef which was delicious.
This is our go to spot for take out Chinese cuisine it always tastes fresh, and arrives quickly when we order it. We have never had a problem with our order and the portions are great, you'll definitely have leftovers!
Everything you cold ask for in terms of Chinese takeout. The have meal options for families and single combos. 💮
Staff is really nice and portions are great. If you are into american chinese food then this place is the go to
Really disappointed with the food. I ordered orange chicken, General Tao chicken and Shanghai noodles.
The noodles was atleast eatable but the two chicken dishes were really bad. We couldn’t even finish the meal because it was making my stomach ache. When we checked the chicken it was just a ball of pooped up dough; with barely any chicken in it. Really not sure if they ran out of chicken while cooking but decided to go ahead anyway or changed cooks or something but this felt like a real rip off; we paid for nothing

Hidden gem! Family run Chinese restaurant with delicious food. The Singapore noodles are to die for and are always the first to go at the dinner table! They give free items as well (rice, drinks etc). One occasion I picked up my order before closing time (totally forgot they close at 8) and they didn’t even charge me for the order and they were not mad!! The chicken to veggie portion is very light, but for the price it’s not a big deal. Definitely recommend adding extra chicken to the dishes if they’ll do it for addition charge.

This place is a gem! We ordered hand-pulled ramen with brisket and another one with beef offal. The portion is humongous. Generous noodles and meat, and the price is so reasonable $11.99 ! It's hard to beat this price. The noodles are freshly pulled and you can choose the width too. The soup broth taste clean and flavorful without the taste of loaded with msg. I highly recommend this place. Lots of Sichuan food selection too.

I went there during lunch time for All You Can Eat, and enjoyed the varieties of Dim Sum.
They are all fresh and tasty. The vegetarian foods are also included. Very clean and chic interior inside. Definitely will go back again.

This is a hidden gem of a take out spot in the neighbourhood. Everyone that works there is incredibly nice. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken, shrimp and wontons (three separate dishes). The portions are large and everything is reasonably priced. They don't deliver on any of the apps but it's worth picking it up if you don't live in their delivery radius. Top notch keep up the great work!

First time trying this place , I order a combo plate with chicken balls , chicken fried rice and sweet & sour ribs and I also got an order of chicken wings

I loveeeee Chinese food and have ate from most places in Toronto .

The fried rice wasn’t fried , still had lots of chunks of white rice , no flavour , no green onions , no egg , no peas or carrots. Very plain white rice

The chicken ball has a sour taste to it and some of the chicken balls had no chicken , just dough (in pic)

The sweet & sour ribs was bones covered in dough or just a ball of dough (in picture)

The chicken wings were okay , it doesn’t have a typical Chinese flavour , more like kfc fried chicken .

Also when you walk in all you smell is air freshener, I found weird , didn’t smell any food at all

This place doesn’t also deliver or work with any delivery apps so you have to pick up , I would definitely not go out my way again to try for an second time even if I was offered a free meal

I order the classic ramen noodle as stated on the first page but it proved to be a mistake. The 2.5 mm noodle becomes something like 4mm and is not easy to chew. The beef brisket is decent and the broth is very average. If the ramen has more finely chiseled green onion and some fried garlic it would taste much better. Overall, its a ok.

The soup is absolutely delicious! I love the brisket ramen. The meat was very tender, soup is well seasoned, and nice thick noodles. Restaurant was clean and modern. Amazing price for the food served and the relatively large portions.

Great service and amazing food! It was super quick and really cheap. THESE PORTIONS ARE VERY FILLING. You do not need to order much more than a bowl of noodles because it's such a large portion. I highly recommend coming to this place and it did seem quite popular when we went. The lamb skweres are out of the world! Great experience here!

I got the classic beef noodle, and I found it very average. Broth was yummy but noodles were not chewy at all. The noodles looked hand-pulled but did not taste like it. The beef slices were too dry but that can be a personal preference. The radish slices were kind of undercooked so was hard to chew.
Service was quick and portion was large, good value for the price.
Overall I much prefer Four Four South Village or Hey Noodle.

The food is always delicious with great prices and portions, and the people working there make every visit a pleasure! They had great customer service when dealing with the only miscommunication about my order I've ever had there (due to noise on my end of the phone while ordering), offering a quick and thoughtful solution to ensure everything was just right! The man helping me even held the door for me- so nice to have great food and people who care to go above and beyond so nearby! Thanks a lot, will certainly be back again soon! :)
Staff and owners (I think it’s family owned and run) are all friendly, and the food is pretty decent. It falls between good but isn’t great. Standout dishes I’ve had was the Almond Chicken Soo Guy and the rest are basically at the good level. It tastes much like a decent neighborhood Chinese spot. They used to have done-in but seem to have scrapped that and just do take-out, now. The only dish I had that was bad was the Shanghai Noodle. It lacked flavor and just tasted bland, but most other dishes are as described, pretty good. The prices are a bit high, but not out of the range you’ll find in Spadina. If you’re craving Chinese food it will do the trick.
Highly recommended. Been going here a few years now and noticeably better lately. Try the lemon chicken! Big portions and lots of veggies.

I got Hunan beef and it was really good. Nothing mind blowing or anything but I would definitely order it again. It's low level spicy (for me) but has lots of veggies and beef which I liked. There's tofu as well, which tasted really good but I wish it wasn't in such big chunks compared to everything else.
The herbal chicken hotpot was closer to a sesame chicken hotpot. The flavor was good but the overall dish lacked cohesion and finesse. We were told we had to order a whole chicken even though they had half a chicken on the menu.

One of my favorite lunch takeouts in RBC food court. All the meals come with rice or noodle and if you choose one item it's under $10 (tax included). There are many different options to choose from. This place offers a great portion size and an excellent price.

Great Chinese (Shanghai-nese) lunch spot located conveniently to me.

29th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Shanghai noodles, Peking beef, Mongolian curry chicken. Wonderful. Extra crisp green peppers in my Shanghai noodles, and the Peking beef was spiced fantastically, and the Mongolian chicken was marinated just right. Fantastic!

Future: Try the vermicelli noodles.

28th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles, Peking beef, Mongoliancurry chicken. Tasted amazing.

27th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles, Peking beef, Chilli Chicken. Tasted spectacular.

26th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles, Peking beef and Mongolian curry chicken. Fantastic, missed eating here over the holidays.

25th visit: Came here with a colleague. I had the Shanghai noodles, Peking Beef, and Chili Chicken + 2 Sesame Balls. Everything tasted fantastic. They're closed for the final week of the year (Dec 23rd - Dec 31st). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Wish you more blessings in 2023!

24th visit: Came here with a colleague. I had the Beef noodle soup (egg noodles) and non-spicy Tom Yum soup. Tasted great. In the future, I could get spicy too, I don't think it would be too spicy for me.

23rd visit: Had the 2-item meal. Shanghai noodles (nice variation from the Cantonese noodes [my fav] which I usually get). Then had the Malaysian Chicken and the Chili Chicken. Both great. On a regular day, I'd vary my 2 meats, but I wanted both chicken because I had a lot of red meat the day before (CHR with SK).

22nd visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles. Peking Beef. Chili Chicken. Delicious.

21st visit: Had the beef noodle soup, slightly spicy. Great ratios, tasted amazing.

20th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles. Peking Beef. Mongolian Curry Chicken. Fantastic as usual.

19th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Shanghai noodles (lot of great crispy green peppers this time), Peking Beef, and Mongolian Curry Chicken. Also tried 2 pieces of fried chicken, which also tasted fantastic and would be great if I was in the mood for crunchy fried chicken.

18th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles, Peking Beef, and Chili Chicken. Fantastic service by Nathan. And the Chili Chicken was especially good this time - nice and plump and full of flavour. Delightful.

17th visit: Had the beef noodle soup (non-spicy). Tasted wonderful. Confirmed - the beef noodle soup is my fav default if I'm in the mood for soup. Spicy vs non-spicy - depends on my mood.

16th visit: Had the wonton noodle soup (pork and shrimp wontons) and ordered it spicy. Tasted fantastic, great ratios. Flavour was just right. I also asked for 1 chili oil on the side, and midway through my meal, I decided to pour all of the chili oil side into my soup on a whim (I should have poured a bit in first just to test it out). I still finished it, but I made it way too spicy. So note to self: I don't need to ask for extra chili oil on the side - it's too spicy for me.

Both soups I've had are great. If I'm in the mood for soup, generally I would prefer the beef noodle soup (spicy or non-spicy) as I prefer beef brisket as my meat by default - but if I was in the mood for wonton noodle soup (non-spicy, doughy wrapped meatballs, and just have it savoury), then I would order this.

15th visit: Came with a colleague. I had the 2 item meal. Cantonese noodles, Peking Beef, and Chilli Chicken. She had the spicy beef noodle soup. Great service and a delicious lunch.

14th visit: Had the spicy beef noodle soup (it's also available non-spicy). The broth was tasty, the noodles were a smooth umami texture, and the beef brisket in the soup was tender, juicy, and flavourful. Great ratios on everything. This location continues delivering a consistently fantastic lunch experience every time.

13th visit: Had the 2 item meal. Cantonese noodles, Peking Beef and Chilli Chicken. Beef sauce on the noodles. Splendid. Amazing food and friendly service by Nathan.

Great Chinese (Shanghai-nese) lunch spot located conveniently to me.

12th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles, Chili Chicken, and Kung Pao Fish. This combination is great if I'm in the mood for something crispy and crunchy and I want my meal items to stand on their own. Everything tasted great. Had a sesame ball as dessert - also fantastic. Big size, crispy exterior, interior had delicious red bean paste flavours.

-- In the future, I want to try: (if I'm in the mood for soup,) their wonton noodle soup (pork and shrimp wontons), and spicy beef noodle soup.

11th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles, Peking Beef - sauce on the noodles, Malaysian curry chicken. Everything tasted great. I came with my co-workers and they got wonton noodle soup (pork and shrimp wontons) and spring rolls. That also looked fresh and delicious.

10th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Cantonese noodles, Peking Beef - sauce on the noodles, Chilli Chicken. Peking beef had fresh, crisp onions which really complemented the beef nicely. All the flavours complemented each other wonderfully, keep up the great work.

9th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Shanghai noodles, Peking Beef (the gentleman with the gold Buddha pendant recommended I add beef sauce onto my Shanghai noodles, terrific, I recommend doing this; they are great complementary flavours), Chilli Chicken. Magnificent as usual.

8th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Shanghai noodles (my fav employee, the gentleman with the gold Buddha pendant gave me the fresh batch as he was just unloading it - I LOVE that guy, he is the reason why this restaurant is the BEST restaurant in this food court) and then the Peking beef, and Kungpao fish which he recommended for me (also made just fresh, nice and crunchy). Yet another fantastic lunch experience.

7th visit. Had the 2-item meal. Peking Beef and Chilli Chicken. With Shanghai noodles. I've concluded this is my favourite combo. In the future, I'll alternate ordering Malaysian Curry Chicken (musky) vs Chilli Chicken (spicy). Also will alternate Shanghai noodles (thicker, spicy, with green peppers) with Cantonese noodles (thinner, more umami texture).

6th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Shanghai noodles (spicy with crunchy green peppers - please continue adding green peppers in this new recipe). Peking beef and Chilli Chicken. Amazing as always.

5th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Stir-fry noodles. Peking beef and Kung Pao fish. Peking beef was good as usual, Kung Pao fish tastes like spicy fish nuggets. Great if you're feeling in the mood for some crunchy fried fish.

4th visit: Had the 2-item meal. Stir-fry noodles. Peking beef and Malaysian curry chicken. Consistently great (still prefer Peking beef and Chili chicken the most).

3rd Visit: Had the 2-item meal. Had the stir-fry rice noodles with Peking Beef and Chili chicken. Wow, this was a great combo. All the flavours complemented each other perfectly. Also, I've grown to like the gentleman with the black hat and buddha chain. He always gets me right. I recommend he get some sort of recognition for fantastic cooking/customer service/friendliness.

2nd Visit: Had the 2-item meal. Had the stir-fry rice noodles with General Tso chicken and Malaysian curry chicken. Tasted great, the Malaysian curry flavour was musky, smoky, and perfect. Just brilliant.

1st Visit: Had the 2-item meal. Had the Shanghai noodles with Peking Beef and Chilli Chicken. Perfect amount of spice on the noodles and chicken (they have non-spicy options too), Peking beef also tasted great.

Will be coming back.

I was a bit off put by some of the negative reviews here but decided to give this place a try anyways.

I ordered delivery directly through them and not through one of the other delivery apps. (I would recommend this btw). For one thing, I got my order and I called them after placing my order to ensure they saw it and were processing it after some of the negative reviews here but they told me they were already in the process of making it. Also, they say right on their site that delivery through them takes around an hour so you shouldn’t expect anything less. From the time I ordered to the time I got my delivery, it was an hour so I can’t blame them for being honest upfront.

Food was reasonably priced considering everything has gone up in price these days. Portion sizes matched the prices and every dish was hot and tasty. The only one I didn’t quite like was the deep fried squid. I was hoping it’d be tender but it was a bit on the chewier side and it lacked salt.

I would order from here again. Everything was packaged well, portion sizes were good, price was reasonable and food was tasty. Delivery was on time and seamless.

I can't speak to delivery or even takeout experiences because I always dine in (they have quite a few large tables available). Every time, I'm impressed by the price, portion size, quality, and flavour of the food. The best hot and sour soup in Chinatown (and I've been to A LOT of the restaurants in the area), the Japanese tofu was so silky and tasty, they're the only place I've seen in Chinatown that makes birds nest from taro, the handmade fried dumplings taste fresh and the dough is just chewy enough, the sweet and sour pork comes in a huge portion and tastes great, I've never had a bad dish from here. I want to eat my way through the entire giant menu.

Did take out and even after driving 30 minutes back home, the food stayed hot and fresh! Everything was so tasty, and it did not disappoint at all. We ordered a LOT (as you can see), and it was all so good!! 😋

Our order consisted of: lobster in ginger and green onion sauce, lobster in black bean sauce, salt and pepper shrimp (this was also spicy) satay beef rice noodle, young chow fried rice, green beans with minced pork, snow pea leaves with enoki mushrooms, Szechuan style crispy chicken

Huge difference in takeout vs delivery. Ordered via Uber on a Wednesday night, delivery was real quick but the food was disappointing. Shrimp fried rice had only a handful shrimps hidden under a mountain of rice. Pretty sure the meat in the kung pao chicken was not chicken. It was shredded to such tiny pieces that there was absolutely no way to tell what the meat was. Flavours and portions were good but the overall experience could have been better if they had not skimmed on the main ingredients.

Food was delivered piping hot and fresh! Flavourful and good quality. General tso’s had a great sauce-y crunch and the chef’s secret eggplant was excellent. Both were a touch sweet for my taste but still delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for bringing great Chinese food to the neighbourhood!
If you are looking for classic North-Americanized Chinese takeout (with a couple traditional dishes thrown into the menu mix) and you live downtown, then this is the place. Reasonable prices, the typical overflowing takeout container full of chop suey, chicken balls, sweet and sour sauce and fried rice (with actual egg, a rarity with similar style restaurants, I find) and bonus- hot and sour soup and spring roll. I wish they had egg rolls rather than spring rolls, but hey, for the price, I can't complain. I would like to add that the staff are super friendly. Note: closed on Tuesdays.
Food was great. I ordered a half chicken and it was moist and crispy. I also had the shrimp wontons. They were a disappointment because it was one or no shrmp inside the deep fried wonton wrapper. The lobster costs cheaper than most chinese restaurants and it tastes like the rest. Its a great place to eat when youre hungry at night

This is a typical chinese fast food like Szechuan. One section for premade food and the other for soup noodles. Ordered their 2 choices combo with long beans and black pepper chicken on shanghai noodles. Overall the meal wasn't too bad, just a bit salty for the chicken.

Was in a hurry on the way to Union station and stopped in here for a quick meal. The orange chicken was surprisingly good, as were the spring rolls. Would certainly return if I found myself in this foodcourt again.
