TRY ALL THE COST TO AVOID THIS APARTMENT!!! DO NOT FOOL BY THEIR "LOW PRICE" AND DISSCOUNT!!!

I wish I could give ZERO stars because even that feels too generous. All the complaints about the early morning fire alarms and non-functional heaters are 100% TRUE! No exaggeration needed. But that’s just the beginning of the nightmare.

Since the leasing office team changed in 2024, the level of unprofessionalism has hit rock bottom. The front desk staff, Gary, completely messed up my appointment. I scheduled a meeting with him at 4 PM and even reminded him on the morning of the appointment day. When I showed up at 4, he was on a "lunch break" and unavailable, leaving me unable to meet him at all and ruining my entire workday afternoon. It’s beyond ridiculous.

And then there’s the leasing manager, Devonia, who somehow manages to be even worse. I initially reached out to her via email to discuss leasing issues when I renew the lease, and one day she asked me to come to her office in person. Thinking it was urgent, I dropped everything at work and rushed over—only to find out she just needed a form that could have been emailed. The complete lack of respect for my time was infuriating. On top of that, she regularly ignores my emails, forcing me to knock on her office door just to get a response.

The entire leasing office seems to be a black hole of accountability. They constantly pass the buck among themselves instead of solving residents' problems. I’ve approached several staff members about a leasing issue, and each one assured me it would be "fixed quickly." HOWEVER, the issue still hasn’t been resolved.

The staff here are clueless, rude, and show zero interest in helping current residents. It feels like they only care about finding new tenants to fill the empty apartments because so many residents are fleeing this disaster of a place. Save yourself the headache and stay far, far away!
Yesterday, I visited a friend who has been living at Broadview Apartments for the past year. After my eye appointment, my pupils were still dilated, making it difficult to navigate in the sunlight.

When I arrived at the front desk, I was greeted by Danielle, who was incredibly kind, friendly, and understanding of my situation. She went above and beyond by having someone cover the desk and personally escorting me to my friend's apartment. Her thoughtfulness and professionalism truly made me feel like a VIP.

The next day, my friend gave me a tour of the property, and I was thoroughly impressed. The apartments are absolutely stunning, with top-notch amenities, including a gym and a movie theater. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are exceptionally warm and accommodating.

After this experience, I’ve promised myself to visit my friend more often. If I were ever in the market for a new place to live, Broadview Apartments would be at the top of my list.
Denora,Brenden, and Jerry were the first ones I met at Jefferson House, they were nice as anyone could be,they made me feel good before I moved in so I knew it would be at home and I was right. And that's how I feel.
I moved into my apartment a few months ago, and from the beginning felt welcomed and cared for by everyone who works at Broadview. Always patient with my questions and never failing to assist where possible, I'm very lucky to call this place home. Gary greets everyone in the morning with a smile, and Kayla has helped me out with everything from parking to lost keys and misplaced packages. Very grateful for all the help I've received my past few months here, and it's all thanks to the people!
I’ve lived in the apartments for almost a year now, and although I could talk about The nice amenities, and a fabulous layout of my apartment, what really makes broadview great are the people. Gary and Kayla are fabulous to work with and provide quick, helpful, and happy assistance with any problem I’ve had. In particular in all of my interactions with Kayla, she’s always been incredibly happy, bubbly and knowledgeable. The people who work the front desk are also always so happy and excited to see us and make our mornings great

If you're looking for a truly unique living experience, look no further than the Broadview Apartments. Where else can you be waken up at 7 a.m. by the sweet sound of a *fire alarm test*? Who needs an alarm clock when you have management that cares so much about your safety? Forget those lazy mornings – they’ve got your back!

But wait, there’s more! Ever wanted to live in a nature documentary? The Broadview Apartments offer a delightful rodent safari right in your own home. Mice sightings are complimentary, and you'll never feel lonely with your furry little roommates running around.

And don’t worry about overheating during the winter months. The heat stays off, so you can layer up and embrace the pioneer spirit. Why waste money on central heating when you can create cherished memories huddling under blankets and shivering with loved ones?

Of course, the fun doesn’t end when you move out. Management ensures the full experience by conducting an in-depth forensic investigation of your unit. They’ll find *something* to charge you for – a scuff on the floor, a microscopic speck of dust, or maybe even holding you accountable for the wear and tear of the Earth’s rotation. Say goodbye to that security deposit!

So, if you're ready to combine sleep deprivation, wildlife encounters, freezing winters, and creative financial losses, the Broadview Apartment is the perfect place for you!

The management here is stupid! It requires 30 dollars for garbage collection fee per month. But they collect the garbage around 00:00 and they will fine you if you do not put the garbage can back before 9 am. They will check it on time at 9. I collected at 9:10 and then receive the notification. The management told me it is a lesson to learn. If you cannot get up earlier than 9 am, do not live here.
My son and I came to visit this property about a week ago. The entire experience was quick, Easy, and stress free. When you get there ask for Michael, he was a great guide showing us around the place and helping us out with all of our questions. He even introduced us and let us talk to some of the current residence to get their feedback on what their experience was living there. Being as though we live all the way across the country this was very reassuring for my son and I to know that we made the right decision for his living situation while he’s away for college. He even gave us some amazing restaurant recommendations to try out before heading back home. My overall experience was a 10/10. Thanks again Mike!
I would like to express my appreciation to the Broadview staff& to let them know how grateful I am to have them as a team working in the building. They are so polite, respectful & attentive. Devonia (the leasing manager) does a wonderful job & is always helpful with her services with leasing, which is appreciated. Mr. Daryl ( front desk concierge) “an always at your service type of guy”” which is much needed & much appreciated,is much LOVED. Danielle (front desk concierge)very friendly & a people’s person as well as a friend to talk too . (MUCH LOVED). Mr. Gary (front desk concierge) leadership & I say this because he starts everyone mornings & evenings with a blessing. Maintenance crew always available, job done & ready to assist.
In closure , if anyone else have been left out , my apologies but you ALL are appreciated
Every day when I come back home from work, I can count to be greeted by Danielle and Darryl at the front desk. These 2 always make my day better and put a smile on my face! They have definitely been the best part of my experience with Broadview so far. They are very genuine and full of positive energy that breathes life and joy into the community here.

While the building is not perfect and certainly has its issues, I’ve enjoyed my time here so far thanks to the people that make it feel like home.

I believe it is the best place to live in within the Baltimore city and county area.

Problems:
- I was referred here by a friend. She never got the referral money despite me providing all the info to front office thru email around move-in time.

- The life guard for the pool have been unprofessional. They (could be anyone from a contractor company) show up late frequently. We are talking about >1 hour late. They leave early too. The pool hours are already limited during summer time, so this was frustrating for many residents. Hopefully next summer it will get better.

- Sound proof is bad. If your neighbors talk loud, you will hear them. If they watch tv or just walks heavily, you will hear them.

Good parts:

- I like that you get assigned parking spots. This way people tend to park better because they are held accountable.

- Front desk is very friendly. They make you feel at home. The maintenance team is professional and very competent.

- the building is new (built in 2020).

- No pests so far.

- Love the trail in front of the apartment.

- I like the package/mail system. They have an Amazon locker in the lobby, and front desk will take any large items and store them there until you go and pick them up.

- the front desk puts in a lot of effort into bring the community together through events. In the summer we get free ice cream sometimes and now it’s Halloween, they went all out with the spooky decors and are hosting movies nights. I heard they have good events for Christmas as well.
Jefferson House Apartments has undergone a tremendous transformation under the new management and ownership. Great programs have been implemented for the residents, and incredible renovations in the community spaces. The staff is wonderful! Attentive and caring.
I had a tour with the leasing agent, Brendan. He was kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and energetic. The apartments are clean, well priced and in a good area!
Brendan is amazing, he was amazing to work with. Really helped me understand the process! I highly recommend working with Brendan if you’re going to lease an apartment.
I spoke with Brendan today in regards to leasing an apartment, I had so many questions regarding the area and the units. He answered all my questions and more. I have worked with so many people but he is the best I’ve worked with by far!
I toured with Brendan and he was superrrrrrr amazing! He provided so much information and made me comfortable with my moving decision!
Great experience overall. Staff were very helpful and informative. Highly recommend working with Brendan Stern!
Brendan was very helpful! Highly recommend working with him for your next apartment!
I really hate to leave bad reviews, especially given that this is a decent apartment for the price and the other people working here are all professional. The sound insulation is not great, but so is almost all the old apartment you can find in the city. Great location, great view, nice neighbors, and I have a lovely commute.

If you go to the google review of the Brooks Management company (I will leave another review there as well), you will notice that most of the bad review centers around one person, the general manager Myrna Siegel. I have many stories, but I will just share two particularly bad ones. You can easily find more in the review section.

I would not say she is a bad person, but the shear amount of incompetence is just unfathomable (Hanlon's razor). My down-floor neighbor complain about the sound of me walking at night to them, which, according to them, was not a big issue at all. Instead of communicating with me (which she is not very good at), Myrna decided just to impose the "rug rule", which is a standard thing in the lease but is rarely ever imposed. The rug is not provided by the landlord, but if the management decided to impose it, you need to buy those rugs to cover 85% of the floor. She want the rug to not only cover the places you can walk on, but also under furniture, which is not stupid at all and very interesting. Also, she keeps addressing me with my last name, which is also not stupid and kind of refreshing.

I am allergic to rugs, which I made very clear to her. I spend the rest couple of months with windows open during the day and wash the rug every month. This wasted a lot of energy for heating and is simply quite annoying. What's more annoying is the second story. A friend of mine is moving into town (not allergic to rugs) and is looking for apartment. We decided that it is a good idea that I transfer the lease to him along with all my furnitures. Myrna agreed with the proposal at that time. After all, we want to save some effort of moving, they need tenant, so it was a easy decision for her or, in other words, a no-brainer. However, she completely forgot about the deal or to send my friend instruction for application. She put the unit on market and re-rented it to someone else, without informing us at all. Of course, she is not apologetic about that, as you would expect from someone like her.

Incompetence is a great word to describe her as a manager, but sometime I feel she is almost creative in "not managing". Of course, there are some better words for her that I am refraining to use. If you are experienced with dealing with her kind of folks, sure, go for it. If not, and still decided to rent the apartment, then I think you are, in some sense, very similar to Myrna.

We lived in the Woodberry for one year, and are very satisfied with this place.

For the room itself, it is nice and spacious with great natural light. Sometimes we could hear some noise from neighbors and outside of the apartment (mostly cars playing music) but most of the times it did not last long and did not affect our sleep. Our unit was right above the apartment gate, and I think more noise may be expected if you live in the rooms facing the main roads.

The public area of the apartment is beautifully decorated and has many amenities. We especially loved the huge gym. Also, we could see cleaning staff in the building every other day, so the public space is clean and well-maintained. Also, the garage is safe and convenient, and the assigned parking spot is usually at the floor level of your room.

The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and safe. We could see lots of trees through out window, and we loved to take a walk in the lovely trail nearby.

The staff are friendly, helpful, and responsive. The management team held many fun events, and I especially loved the free ice cream😋

We moved out after one year because of personal reasons. No issues happened during the move-out process, and we received the security deposit about 40 days after moving out. We are very satisfied with the overall experience of living in the Woodberry, and our only complaint might be the curtains. It was kind of hard to get it up and stop in the place we wanted😂 Also, the curtain does not block the light much, so if you are sensitive to light, you may need an eyemask when sleeping.

All in all, we would highly recommend this place to everyone!
I have lived here a but over six months and am planning to renew for at least two years. The Fox building is a great location and our unit has great afternoon sunlight, appliances, and a walk in closet w in laundry unit.

The front desk is helpful and kind, they learn your name! They host fun building get togethers and are responsive with calls/emails if you need anything. Maintenance is also fairly quick and helpful when needed.

Cons would be the paint is Matte so it’s hard to get scuffs or stains out, but it’s nice light grey color that goes with a lot and is bright on sunny days. I also sometimes have issues with the dryer drying clothes all the way, but it’s overall fine and works great! Not super frequently, but enough for me to write about it.

I would recommend this place. The pool and gym are great. I have no issues with noise and everything is up to date.
My husband and lived here from September 2022 until September 2023. The property itself is beautiful and well up-kept. Nicely located near 83 and many trails for outdoorsy people. Parking for the most part was okay. Privacy and safety was hit or miss with the garage doors incessantly being broken and wide open. Management ON the property were helpful when issues arrived (for the most part), and also kind in general.

My main issue comes in with the move out process. It was quite disorganized and Dolben (the owners) as a company needs to streamline their processes better. We were off of the property, key cards/parking access returned with a forwarding address BEFORE October. It is now November 17th, 2023 and we have yet to receive back our deposit from the HQ. I’m not sure why it’s requiring more than a week for this process to occur but it is quite frustrating that we are in limbo, awaiting that delivery. Mind you, we already have our final balance sheet from the ON property management. However, for whatever odd reason… they are not allowed to send out deposit checks. Has to be from company HQ.

Additionally, for a 6 month period we would hear every single thing our upstairs neighbor did. It would sound like they were tossing tractors up into the air to land on the ground, for sport. All hours of the night! Noise is expected in an apartment situation, but theirs was more than anyone should expect in that setting.

We also had a small ant problem for about 2 months.
I have lived at the Fox Building for two and a half years and cannot recommend it enough. Cary, Dasha, and Kenny work diligently to make sure this place feels like home by planning very cute seasonal events for residents, and by being friendly and efficient. The building itself is in great shape, and even though rent is a little higher than it is other places, you get 24/7 access to the gym, free and reserved parking, and access to the pool in the summer time.

I'm surprised this place doesnt have more reviews. They are thriving from word of mouth. I had a great experience living here. No rodents or other pests which I cannot tolerate at all. Shawn, the leasing manager at the time (she may still be the manager idk), was great and helpful. They are very organized. Andrew, the facilities manager at the time (again, he may still be there idk), was responsive and dealt with any issues we had. One time the fridge went out and our groceries were ruined. They reimbursed our next grocery trip. The courtyard is beautiful and open to residents with a grill and ample play area for kids. It is gated and safe. It was walking distance to the avenue. It has gone up significantly since i have been there, too much in my opinion but everything has so i guess they are adjusting to inflation. Overall, great experience and I would live there again.

Our House is in Remington Row best of everything you could ever want dining inside or out
This has been a lovely place to live for the past 2 years. neighbors all mind their business and keep to themselves but are also very nice when you want to chat. The front desk is incredibly helpful and I’m sad to leave such a cozy place. The washer and dryers could be better but besides that it’s a wonderful place!
The apartment itself was quite disappointing as we encountered numerous issues. However, our neighbors seemed to experience fewer problems. I believe we simply had the misfortune of getting a subpar unit, hence the 4-star rating. We faced challenges with moisture accumulation and resulting with bugs showing up. Nevertheless, the staff responded promptly and made genuine efforts to address these concerns. Ultimately, we decided to break our lease and relocate. Remarkably, the staff was accommodating throughout the process, making it surprisingly hassle-free—a rarity in today's rental market.

Avoid avoid avoid. Elevator almost never works for the past 6 months, called management and they don't care at all, always saying they'll call elevator company but no one ever fixes the issue. Even the new elevator they installed took months and stopped working after the first week it is installed. Property manager Vicky is nice but the other one Flo is incredibly rude and condescending. She yells at people and blames problems to tenants. Once had an after-hour water leak at my place, called the emergency maintenance and no one came after 3 whole days. Even the maintenance guy says the emergency maintenance system is messed up. Rent is indeed relatively cheap and nice location, but save yourself trouble from renting here.
Not worth of rent according to the building facilities and conditions

The Fox Building is such a gem! I've been here for 2.5 years and I sincerely wish I wasn't moving so I could stay forever! The management is always on top of everything and they always plan these cute events for holidays, dogs, etc. The building is always clean; I see the cleaners every morning in the lobby before I go to work. The units are gorgeous, especially if you're lucky enough to have the ones with the huge windows. 10/10 would recommend!

So... I was already a fan of this building. The apartments are more spacious than typical market. I have always had amazing interactions with all the staff from management to maintence. The location is awesome and I love feeling like I am in a treehouse.
Today really left a mark when we had a water main break and the office went and bought all of Baltimore's water. I am grateful for the staff and beautiful building to call home. Just renewed for year 3!
Finally, for the negative reviews...I tend to wonder what kind of entitled energy you may have brought. Respect begets respect...

I lived at the Fox building for 1 year and I really enjoyed my time there. I saw in another review that someone complained that the walls are thin and there was a lot of noise, but this was not at all my experience. I am very sensitive to noise but never had any issues. I suspect this person may have had a particularly noisy neighbor, which would have bothered me too, but again, in my experience the building was very quiet. I found the staff very friendly, helpful, and responsive whenever i had an issue or needed a repair. My only complaint is that my parking spot was a bit far from the building, but closer street parking was almost always available. Overall i really liked living in the fox building and would recommend it to a friend.

My experience at the Fox Building has been great. It is a pretty quiet apartment in a pretty quiet neighborhood. It's very dog friendly, and I appreciate reserved parking for the residents. Cary and Dasha at the front office are both super helpful and friendly, and often host events for the residents. Maintenance is also really helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend

I want to let everyone who is thinking of moving into this apartment know that this apartment may look very new and well equipped, but there are major problems with their management. My roommate and I moved out at the beginning of January, but as of yet, we have not received the deposit we paid when we moved in. Our check was told missed and cashed by someone else, I know it's not woodberry's fault for the first time, but after that whenever we contacted the office about the progress of this matter, they were very slow to respond and tried to pass the buck, with many different managers contacting us. Later, according to their request, my roommate notarized and paid for the shipping cost and sent the original to Office. After a very long time and after we sent several emails, they said they didn't receive the letter and may need us to notarize again. At this point I just want to say that they probably want to delay until we don't want the money back anymore and they always give me the feeling that they don't want to care about us after we move out. I highly recommend anyone who wants to move in here to consider it carefully.

Would totally recommend this apartment complex! The Fox Building is situated in a great neighborhood, a short walk to The Avenue or Johns Hopkins. The area is also really quiet with plenty of parking. Current staff is amazing, helpful and nice!! Have had no issues within my apartment, especially as it is newly built with updated amenities.

This was the best place we lived in Baltimore. It was right next to the Jones Falls Expressway and took a short amount of time to get anywhere in town. The apartment is new and everything was very nice and updated inside. It was also right on the Jones Falls Trail, so it made taking walks, biking and hiking, super easy. Plus, in the summer there are wild raspberry bushes all over the place along the trail so bring your appetite. The management staff was fantastic. They knew every resident by their first name, were always helpful if you had a question, and were quick to address any maintenance issues. It was very safe since they had security on site at night and there is a large police station next door (visible from the rooftop deck). Picking up packages was super easy with Amazon lockers, or the staff would hold larger packages for you. The gym and pool were very nice. The amenities were exactly what you would expect at a luxury apartment. We had to leave Baltimore, but we still judge every other apartment against how great The Woodberry was!

We love The Woodberry! We moved in right when they first opened 2.5 years ago, and it's the best living experience I've had in the 15 years I've lived in Baltimore. Our apartment is beautiful and spacious, we have covered (!) parking, a lovely balcony, and a great outdoor pool to cool off with in the summer. The common spaces are really nice, and the Amazon lockers are convenient. The building is kept very clean, and we like that it's close to I83 and the Jones Falls trail.

The property manager (Jenna) and the staff are outstanding. They treat residents so well — bring in on-site food trucks regularly, give out gifts/treats for holidays and resident appreciation day, and host charity/donation events (with prizes). The maintenance workers are friendly and quick to respond to any issues we have. Not only are the staff a great team, but they're also good people. They've seen us through our pandemic wedding, pet loss, and various other life events with such caring and compassion. We're so grateful, and very happy to be a part of this community.

P.S. The on-site Dunkin this last year has been awesome.

Pros: Location, close to the freeway, free parking and own parking spot
Cons: I lived at the Fox building for about 9 months and I initially fell in love with the place. The location seemed nice and quiet, while still close to restaurants and downtown Hampden. With that being said, the CONS outweighed my overall experience living there. The biggest issue is the infrastructure of the building. The walls are extremely thin to the point that I could literally hear every single word my next door neighbor was saying whenever she was talking on the phone or had guests over. It was extremely disruptive and I was never able to get quality sleep. It got to a point where I brought up this issue with maintenance and the leasing office. Maintenance told me that because the building was an old building there wasn't good insulation between the walls and there was nothing that they could do. I emailed the leasing office and I never got a single response. I worked 12 hour shifts overnight and I tried to stress to the leasing office that this issue was extremely problematic for getting sleep and if something could be done about the issue, but they never responded to me. I had to buy my own white noise canceling machine to help block out the noise, but that didn't do anything. Also, there is no enforced quiet hours at the Fox building at night/early morning. So at times, there would be residents out in the lounge area blasting music until 3am and because of the infrastructure of the building, noise bounces off the walls and you can easily hear everything even inside your apartment. I ended up having to end my lease early, because I was extremely unhappy living there. I gave the leasing office 2 months notice that I was looking into moving out of my apartment early and breaking my lease (mainly it was Cary Rivera who I spoke to). She had told me that based on my lease, I would have to pay 2 months of rent for breaking the lease or if they had found someone to rent out the apartment, I would only be responsible for paying the amount of rent until they moved in. As the next 2 months went by, I spoke again with Cary during that week that I was physically moving out of the apartment. She had told me that someone would be moving in to my apartment in the following month and she didn't see that not following through. She didn't give me any guarantee, but she did give me assurance that I wouldn't have to worry. I trusted her and I went through the entire month thinking that someone was still moving into the apartment. She emails me 3 weeks later telling me to sign the termination agreement contract and to pay the 2 months of rent. I was extremely confused, so I emailed her regarding this and she told me that the person decided to cancel and that I would have to pay the termination fee or continue to pay rent. While I understand that things happen, I was extremely upset with how she handled the whole situation. She failed to keep in communication with me for over 3 weeks regarding the apartment not being rented out, so I felt extremely blindsided. I expressed my frustration to her about the situation and she showed no empathy and didn't even apologize for her actions and never took responsibility for not notifying me of changes regarding the apartment being rented out and basically blamed me saying that I knew the consequences of breaking the lease. I had no choice to pay the fee, but do yourself a favor and avoid this apartment. The leasing office really doesn't care about the residents and just want their money.
Nice and clean place, a nice place to live

Lived here for two years and had a great experience! The management team is extremely professional, friendly, and quick to respond if we needed anything. By far the best management I have ever rented from. The complex and surrounding area is very well maintained. The biggest thing for us is that we felt safe in the complex and the garage parking was secure.

Would highly recommend this place if your looking for places in the Remington area or the John’s Hopkins Homewood community.

Great place but the fire alarm in the building went off by mistakes for way too many times.
Looks nice on the outside but the woman on the phone is pre approving people over the phone seems illegal or close to it.
First time moving into an apartment, and Mrs. Irina Bederak made the experience for my family and I really smooth and easy. She always answered the many questions I had in a polite and knowledgeable manner. I am happy that I decided to go with one of TRU Management’s properties because they ensure that their clients are well taken care of.

I live here for 2.5 years, best of the best apartment I’ve ever lived. Management works so hard to maintain the safety and cleanliness, especially during the covid 19. I feel super safe and happy to stay here. Highly recommended!
I've been here for 6years and very content. Mrs. Irina will get the job done. I've made up my mind once I've settled in that Hampshire House will be my forever home and the buck stops here for me.

PEOPLE WORKING TOGETHER TO FORM A TENETS UNION
I do not recommend you moving here. The building is not structured well. The walls are paper thin. There are too many issues with parking, people who do not live here nor have parking permits park in other people's assigned spots. They also need better management. The general manager at the time I believe her name was Myrna, is a very aggressive person. She isn't very professional and does not like her well-paying (on time paying) tenants, but makes excuses for those who break their leases or the rules of the complex and living arrangements. Such as, 3 families living in one 2bdrm apartment at the same time. She does not seem to want to follow the complex's rules (aka lease policies) and gets a sour tone with any man who tries to speak with her about said rules and regulations. From my personal experience from formerly living here she made illegal threats via email and phone towards myself and my room mate (also male) about lease renewals for no reason.. It seems like she is bias and does not like men, which is why myself and my room mate moved. She just seems to have a bad attitude and I think the owner should really look into replacing her. Just my personal opinion if the owner wants to manage a better property, and/or to avoid future lawsuits which I could see happening based off of mine and my room mates experience here and with her. Honestly we probably would not have moved if it was not for the situations that we had with her. If you are a man I would highly suggest to avoid moving here. At least if this GM is still there, that is.
It's a "Stepping Stone" to get where you need to be that's it nothing more. Ms Diane in the leasing office is great. Good luck trying to get work done in your apartment. It took 2yrs to get the parking lot paved & the game room for tenants has been under construction for over 3yrs now & nowhere near finished. Junkies breaking in the building to sleep & do drugs. Sleeping & living on the stone patio in the back. They will raise your rent but these junkies live here for free & nothing is done about it ever. All night talking & yelling & junkies having sex outside your window, not to mention you will pay for a mailbox to receive your mail, INSANE to pay to receive mail @ a rental property. A Stepping Stone, not for long ter
For the price of the apartments and the size, and convenient location it's greatly appreciated. If everyone would not throw stuff all over the place, it wouldn't be dirty
I do not smoke in my apartment and other people who do should be turned in to Ms Diane. If we all take care of the apartments we will have a great place to live.
Mrs Irenia and George are the best a women and man of integrity very considerate of the tenants of the Hampshire House understanding, helpful, pleasant, wonderfully made beautiful inside and out Thank you too Mr. Sandtoast and Mr. Sauge you guys are great to work with. May you continue to help keep Hampshire House a great place to live.
My apartment is a great size. The leasing agent Diane is great. The maintenance sucks, they only clean buildings and grounds once a week. The grounds look trashy and building dirty. The noise is horrible and so are smells most of the time the hallway I'm in smells like cigarettes and weed. There is no way to let guests in unless you leave your apartment to go open the door for them.
Ms. Irina and mr. George are very helpful in times of need. And the whole staff has been good to work with

Cons:
-TONS OF BUGS. Even if I didn't leave food out, didn't cook and cleaned, I still got bugs. Some are small, others are big. I didn't get cockroaches cuz I was on the 4th floor, but I know people on the 1st floor did. The problem is WT is so poorly insulated from the outside. There were a lot of crooks and cracks in my kitchen that I couldn't get into, which is basically where bugs would hide and breed, INCLUDING THE DRAWERS. Bugs literally crawled over my utensils, so eventually, I stopped using the kitchen.
-Moving is difficult because the building isn't handicap accessible. You need to go up or down a small flight of stairs to get to the elevator, and the opening is narrow, so it's hard to fit large furniture (full-sized mattress
and larger) into it.
-Mail room is only open between 8:30AM-9:30AM on M-F, which is inconvenient for a lot of students.
-Someone tried to break into my apartment, but since there are no security cameras in the hallways, Real Estate Dimensions wasn't able to tell me who did it or catch the person.
-Elevators are old and rickety. I got trapped inside once for 20 minutes, and I know several other people who have too.
-A lot of maintenance that either shuts off your water or elevator.
-EXPENSIVE lockout fee. It's $40 after office hours.

Pros:
- CONVENIENT LOCATION for JHU undergrads. It's right across the street from Health and Wellness Center, Maxies and 7/11.
- One of the cheapest efficiencies/studios you'll find near campus.

I've lived here for 2 years. It's a decent apartment if you're looking for a place that's cheap and close to JHU, but there are some issues.

Pros:
Location- As a JHU engineering major every class is within a ten minute walk. Lots of food nearby like Chipotle, Orient express, maxis. Eddie's market and Eddie's liquor across the street. CVS, 7/11, uni mini all nearby. Never have to go further than a couple blocks.

Price- decent for the area, can get a 1 bedroom for under a thousand per month, water and heat included.

Service- Everyone is friendly. I haven't had any issues getting in contact with people. Maintenance requests are solved quickly. (Within a day typically.)

Internet- I don't get to experience it because I'm moving out, but looks like they're installing fiber optic internet.

Sound proofing- Can't hear neighbors through the walls. I play pretty loud music a lot of the time, but never got any complaints.

Cons:
For some these may be a deal breaker, but for me they're not a big issue.

Mice- Yes, there are mice in the building. I've seen them creeping around tables/under the oven. I made sure my apartment was free of take out boxes and the issue settled down.

Bugs- Have had on and off cockroach issues. Make sure to clean your kitchen and keep food packaged properly.

Water- Temperature fluctuates while taking a shower to too hot or too cold. Happens once every few showers for me, annoying but it's only for a second and not boiling hot. I've survived.

Heat- Not always on when you want it. They turn it on when it reaches a certain temperature outside, but they might want to make the threshold higher.

Other things to consider:
AC- not built in. Buy a window one. They'll install it for you. Or don't, summers will be a uncomfortable but not impossible.

Packages- Can only pick them up between 8:30 and 9:30am. If it's an emergency, I've seen them open the mailroom for you and put it in your apartment.

Space- I have a small 1 bedroom (550 sq ft) and the living room and bedroom are a good size. The kitchen is kind of small without a lot of counter space. Make sure to tour and see the space for yourself.

Elevators- 2 elevators, sometimes 1 breaks. Not that often in my opinion and they usually fix it quick.

Outside Noise- Sometimes construction outside, someone mowing the lawn, a drunk guy outside maxis screaming. It's the city, it's noisy, what can you do?

Water off- For a couple weeks they had water off during the day while they fixed the pipes. Then they finished. Probably won't be an issue again.

That's about it. Decent for a college student. Would live here again next year if I wasn't graduating.

I lost a surprisingly large portion of my security deposit. What landlord entity can actually claim touch-up painting and post-paint cleaning as something to charge? Buyers be forewarned. You are likely to see 300-400$ lost from your deposit for those routine items. This statement is coming from someone who has been routinely been described as the kind of tenant that adds value to the property. Yes, I lived here for six months. The worst problem we had...one night baby's room filled with generator exhaust fumes from the annual parking garage cleaning which alerted us to a potentially ongoing exhaust fume issue. While the management made some extremly clumsy steps, it could not fully resolve issues for me. While you may not be likely to experience the same indoor air quality issues. You may rely on the fact that the management is at very least taking large liberties with the turnover repairs and cleaning. FYI Management needs to be held to account. This is NOT routine in other US states. Has anyone else had this experience with the RR management?
Fantastic outdoor space. Lovely community of people and business owners. Baltimore has its eclectic vintage spots and this happens to be one of my favorite older buildings.

We loved our apartment but HATED THE MANAGEMENT. Our lease was violated on several occasions by the management team. We would not get notice when they would enter our apartment. The way we would find out is by our lights and tv being on when we got home from work. When we brought this to their attention they insisted we left the lights and tv on then later apologized when we decided this might now be the place for us. Shawn Brown is incompetent and is not accountable for her lack of customer service and completion of basic job duties. The tone in her emails is very unpleasant and unprofessional. If it is possible, avoid interactions with her. It may be easy because after a while she never acknowledged my husband and I at resident events. Even after we ended our lease, we were still faced with an unprofessional exchange. This time by Morgan Wenzel. Remington owned us money at the end, but Morgan assumed me owed over $1000. Morgan’s email stated that my husband and I must “figure it” how to pay them. Once it was explained that Remington Row once again messed up, delayed us receiving our refund and her rationale for the tardiness was an absolute lie. The guys on the team attempt to make up for the short comings of the women by being approachable but the damage was already done.

Overall, residents aren’t friendly and their dogs use the elevator as a toilet daily. While we were residents, the elevator(s) were down several times a month. Sometimes for days at a time. If your apartment faces Remington Ave, you’ll hear herion addict commotion randomly throughout the night, especially at 7 Eleven. On the brighter side, again we loved our apartment once inside and parking was great. Rent at your own risk!
Lovely facility. Houses offices, conference rooms, and Artifact coffe.

My son kept telling me about this new spot in Remington, so we tried BRD and I must say their food was awesome, the service was wonderful a must go again type of business... Atmosphere was perfect.
Pretty decent place for students, but management is usually slow to respond to problems. And no central Ac...

Only bad things can happen here. Don't be fooled by the price of the rent. You will be miserable for an entire year and want to move out. Here's a short list of problems that arose in my year living in Wyman Towers:

1. Mice infestation: I had mouse droppings everywhere. On my chair, in my drawers, on my towels, in my trash can, etc. Every day I would see mice crawling by. I stopped using the kitchen completely after 3 months because it was the main entry way for mice and I could see that the mice had urinated on the floor. Oh and if you find a dead mouse that's rotting and giving off a hazardous odor, the management office will get take care of it "in a couple of days" or "at least by tomorrow" because they're busy.

2. Mailroom: You can only pick up your package between 8:30 - 9:30 in the morning. However, this system is not functional as even with the closed and passcoded mailroom system, I lost packages or had trouble getting it to me.

3. The shower water temperature fluctuated causing me to be screaming because either it was burning hot or freezing cold. Try struggling with this very morning.

4. You'll be cold in the winter. The heating works sometimes, but more often doesn't. It's not in your control.

5. Elevator: You might get trapped in the elevator from time to time. Maximum number of people that could get on the elevator =3.

I felt that no one should experience these things and learn these things the hard way. I have never in my life written a review no matter how furious I was, but I needed to write this review to make sure that people don't suffer like me.
