Taso was professional, communicative, and very helpful throughout my apartment search. Though I didn't end up renting through him, I had a very positive experience working with him. He showed me several nice apartments, asked me what I thought about them, and then adjusted what he showed me based on my feedback. Unlike some other NYC brokers, Taso is a consummate professional.

My neighbors commented that the photos taken were better than what they got with their realtors. This apartment is a dream. Excellent quality, and amentities. It really feels like a hotel. all the front desk staff are great and make an effort to get to know you. The application process was a breeze. Ivan was extremely helpful and was able to show the place with very short notice and made sure I had everything I needed after move in. David Kusayev was an amazing broker. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others. When we were looking at places, everything I should’ve asked, he asked. He made everything easy and would give me his opinion based off his knowledge and experience. He also used outside resources for more specific information where there were questions. Their salesman Josh was extremely unprofessional. Telling me to pick up the phone and talk to him like a man when I voiced concerns about a property he tried to sell me. Then he proceeded to text me profanities. These guys are as shady as they come. They wanted me to use their own mortgage broker and said if I didn't then I would lose the deal, which I wasn't even really interested in to begin with. I don't know why they have this guy representing the company when clearly he's only interested in making a profit. I'd definitely stear clear of these animals.

I honestly can't put into words how incredibly helpful Taso was with finding me an apartment. I recently had to re-locate to New York for a new job and had a very small window of time to find a place to stay. I had been given the run around by so many brokers and landlords before finding Taso. He was very sympathetic to my situation and he worked his tail off trying to find me a place. He stayed in the office until nearly 10pm and when he was finally able to seal the deal, he worked with me over email and over text for about a week while I was moving things up from Alabama. He was extremely patient and when I finally moved in he drove me to the apartment himself and even helped me carry some of my stuff up four flights of stairs! You simply won't find five star service like this anywhere else in the city. And my place is nice, quiet, and conveniently located close to the subway. This was one of the most stress free experiences I've ever had finding a place to live and its all thanks to the extremely helpful service of Taso and Astoria Apartments. I'd give them 10 stars if Google would let me! I highly recommend!

Horrible. I reached out about an apartment multiple times over the course of several days, called, and submitted the contact form on their website and no one bothered to respond. Not even to tell me “sorry, the apartment has been rented.” Absolutely horrible communication.

I had a horrible experience with Taso. I was told that the utility closet in my apartment was old and that nobody would need access to my apartment. This was a lie to sell me the apartment and my landlord came into my apartment without my permission and I caught him on camera!!!!! Go rent an apartment from someone else who won’t lie and say whatever you want to hear just to take your money and get you to sign the papers! I found his advertisement on Craigslist. Please be careful with your money and go to someone else and don’t get lied to like I did.
Taso from Astoria Apartments was very thorough and responsive during our process of looking for a new place and signing a lease. He was always on time with follow up calls and meets and answered all questions thoroughly and quickly. He did not boast a steroetypical "realtor salesman" type personality and was just honest and spoke with us like equals. He was very responsible with Covid concerns. Would absolutely recommend this service.

My husband and I worked with Richard. He was great, professional, and very responsive. When there were issues with our fob keys Richard got on it and it was taken care of right away. We love the apartment we got through him and would highly recommend Astor Realty to others in the future.
The review above by Jesse Mineo is completely fair. Nicholas at Astor Realty strung us along. He's pushy and I didn't find him to be trustworthy. He is nice to interact, responsive but he is not honest. He is very pushy when it's about his requests but his urgency stops as soon as you apply- From the very first showing he mentioned the apartment had multiple applications, (while in fact the apartment price was reduced after a few days on streeteasy). He got upset at us that we weren't serious applicants and hadn't made a quick decision. We got a sense that he wasn't honest but were willing to tolerate given we liked the apartment. We applied, submitted all our paperwork and he said it was approved and that the apartment was being cleaned and would be ready for lease signing in 3-4 days (note this is 10 days before the move in date) and he never got back to us. If we hadn't found something last minute, we would have been completely screwed. I have all the correspondence to prove this, if anyone is interested. There was no use in arguing with him. I just wanted to post this review so other won't have to go through the same experience .

He paired us with Vlad, one of the agents in the company. The whole process went extremely well. Both Vlad and Ivan were extremely responsive and were listening to our requirements and impressions when visiting apartments, adapting as we were visiting the places (as our expectations and priorities were initially not that well defined and probably not completely typical). Vlad organized everything very efficiently, and we were able to see a lot of places very quickly (in half a day) and found our perfect spot in long island city. Vlad also helped us to negotiate before signing the lease.

As my fiancé was going through cancer treatments, her/our living requirements and situation changed dramatically. We needed a safe, accessible, clean, modern apartment that would facilitate her recovery. The list of needs were rather imposing. Astor still found us the place that met our needs.
I base my review on how Astor conducted business. It was friendly, professional, and produced a highly agreeable result.

Ivan really is as good as it gets. He is the one and only resource you will need to find what you are looking for in Long Island City. I cannot recommend him enough. He takes a real interest in his clients, cares about their needs, and is so well versed with the LIC area, he'll know exactly what you need and how to get it.

They are pretty nice to show the places, and to get your money but then they never answer for questions about the apt. At the end you have to cry for your deposit (the address for the owner is a mail box) and when it finally arrive, it's smaller that you thought. Then they say that the apt wasn't clean (it's not true) and they had to spend $$$ cleaning it. So, after they find you a place don't expect much.
