I've had breakfast here multiple times during my stay in Santa Cruz, not once did it disappoint. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious. I especially recommend the Otter Latte 🦦
I had their breakfast sandwich and Burundi pour over black coffee and both were very tasty.
Great interior, feels very cozy. Sometimes doesn’t mix matcha fully but all other drinks I have tasted are fine. Staff are wonderful and always great with recommendations and answering questions. Price is not too unreasonable.
I ordered a chai latte for $6, expecting quality, but it was disappointingly watery and tasted terrible. Normally, I enjoy chai lattes and have tried many variations, ranging from excellent to just okay, but this was by far the worst. The barista seemed inexperienced and unprofessional, which added to the unpleasant experience. The girl who I talked to was extremely rude and had no customer service, told me that it’s my fault for buying a drink I didn’t like and if she were to remake it she would have to charge me. Paid 6 dollars for absolutely nothing as I had to throw my drink away with no compensation or politeness. The service is not welcoming overall. Very unprofessional and just plain rude.
Gorgeous little place with a soul, great sandwiches and coffee, and the friendliest people, definitely a place worth visiting!
Wow! I see why this is the "Best Sandwich in Santa Cruz County"! Soft bread hugs the freshly made ingredients, meats are tender and delicious, the sauces are the perfect touch, service is excellent. So many delicious sandwiches to pick from. Highly recommend this establishment. Locally owned and operated. 10/10 👍💯
Seabright Deli is a soul-warming, family-run deli that’s whipping up some seriously good subs. They’ve got the slow roaster cooking brisket. They get fresh catch for fish subs/salads. On the weekends they include clam chowder. When it’s a sunny day, I take this straight to the beach.

Overall it was fine, food was good. However the sprite from the soft drink fountain tasted like soap, I was not able to drink it. It was horrible.
It’s a great place to eat if they actually have the ingredients for the items on the menu. I love the Goldilocks Oatmeal and there are other great foods they serve but they often run out of things before 10am. I’ve been coming here a lot over the years and that hasn’t changed, you can count on them not having what you want to order if you’re not there early.
The scones here are absolutely perfect, the best I’ve ever had.
The drinks are delicious, i really enjoyed the otter latte.

Seabright Deli is fantastic! We all ordered a different sandwich and we were all completely satisfied. Each sandwich was delicious! The sandwiches are unique. The flavors are incredible. Serviced with a smile! The atmosphere was cute. Place is cozy but comfortable, but plenty of space between tables. I can go on and on about this place because it was a great find. If you’re every in Santa Cruz Seabright Deli is a must!!

This is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The fact that it is gluten free is mind blowing. The bun is otherworldly good. Add fries and mash potatoes and gravy to deliver the best meal ever. I can’t say enough about how great this place is.
Seabright Deli makes some amazing sandwiches. I had the giant dipper and a bowl of chili. I was really pleased with both. The sandwich was really tasty, the meat was piled high and so tender. The roll was soft and crusty. It was served with a side of Au jus for dipping. The chili was rich and meaty, saucy, and robust. I would order these again.
I was disappointed with one thing. The deli closes at 4:00pm. I went to the counter at 3:52 pm to order another sandwich to go. The guy behind the deli counter refused the order, saying we are closed. I'm sure one sandwich doesn't change things for then, but I was not pleased.

These are truly gourmet sandwiches made with artistry and care. I have tried several now. most recently the BLT made with heirloom tomatoes 🤌, and they're all delicious. The prices are not inexpensive, so we consider it a treat! My husband said the brisket chili is the best chili he's ever had. Now that's a treat!
When we finally got the attention of the employee in the back and they silenced the online order buzzer we were informed the delay was because they closed in 30 mins. Appears to be alone closing. Dangerous.
There is a lack of fried chicken options here in Santa Cruz, but with Chubbs there is no need for any other options. Every worker here is extremely positive and kind which is so surprising considering how busy this place gets every night. I always stick with the Nashville Style Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw and man does it hit the spot every time. Absolutely recommend this place and it is gluten free friendly! 5/5.
A beautiful spot to grab a healthy bite right at the beach. We got the chicken salad sandwich, smoked turkey sandwich, and the harvest salad. Loved the home made pickled onions and side of pickled carrot too. Salad was fresh and tasty, perfectly dressed — and the the sandwiches were simple and tasty. Just the thing to energize you after (or before) a day in the sun and sand!
Ordered online, even when arrived 20mins after the scheduled time, still not ready and the staff was very slow preparing food.

First time coming paid $35 for two burritos plus a $5 tip waited 30 minutes just to get an ice cold burrito that didn’t even have potatoes like we asked for. Gave them back and waited another week 10 minutes to be properly heated up just to get them back barely warm. Ended up taking them to our room to heat up in a microwave.
Disgusting place. Smells like urine out front. Homeless coming in and out try to get cash from customers offering to use ebt in exchange for cash.

In the employees defense he is the only one working there. Wouldn't be surprised to hear that they have experienced a lot of theft due to one employee doing it all including going out to throw out trash. Management needs to put some care into this place.

Ran out of tenders, took a while to order, kind of strange vibes (12th hour) butttt, awesome spicy chicken sandwich! That ghost pepper mayo packs a kick. Chicken was thick and moist, crunchy coating, great bun, nice slaw, good pickles. Next time I'll get the classic chicken sandwich and tenders and ghost pepper mayo and ranch on the side. They ran out of water. Don't serve spicy chicken sandwiches and run out of water, that's just cruel! 🌶🥵🔥
OMG ❤️❤️❤️ SO GOOD! I see why my boyfriend has been raving about their sandwiches for months now. As soon as you step in you can smell how delicious the sandwich is going to be. I had the Yacht Club and the chicken, bread and everything else were fantastic. The service and friendliness was exceptional too!

We ordered The Grotto, Crab Cake Sandwich, Bag of Hawaiian chips, and a Kyla Hard Kombucha. I personally didn't eat the Crab Cake Sandwich since I was allergic, but was told it was good.
I devoured the Grotto. The bread is toasted perfectly. The aioli along with the snapper and arugula was so good! Honestly, Seabright Deli is a MUST stop in Santa Cruz. Perfect pairing with chips and a hard kombucha!

Usually when I go to subway it's for my whole family, so in total 5 foot longs. Due to the large order I do feel bad for the workers but the food is always good. They also have Hubert's Lemonade and I haven't been able to find that anywhere, it's like one of the best lemonades I've ever had. All in all, it is a good place to get food.
Had my eye on this place definitely glad we tried it! Got the Nashville hot with Sriracha mayo and coleslaw. With a side of Mac and cheese. Chicken was juicy and flavourful perfect heat. Eating outside under the moon light was a plus quick friendly service great price!

I work in the food industry and I’ve tried a lot of fried chicken. This is by far the best fried chicken sandwich in town. A small hole-in-the-wall type restaurant that has a simple menu but delivers on the quality of their food. Definitely going to come here again.
This chicken shop would pop up in my Yelp searches frequently, so I thought I would give it a try since it is locally owned! I was really happy to see that it is operated inside of the Food Lounge of Santa Cruz. A very cozy indoor and outdoor shared space. Lots of seating!

This is a great spot for lunch. The chicken pesto baguette was one of the best I've had. All the other sandwiches couldn't be far behind. They've got ice cream as well. If you come to Santa Cruz, make sure this is part of your itinerary. Oh yeah, there's a beach around here somewhere. It provides enough overflow for places to eat your Picnic Basket sandwich.
This is the worst subway i have ever visited. I spent nearly $15 for a footlong with hardly any meat on it. I tried to question that but the lady making my sandwich barely spoke any english. The restaurant was full of homeless people because the pay with EBT. So the owner of this subway doesn't mine ripping off poor people. Please do not go to this subway. It's wrong to overcharge anyone and no doubt they are under paying their employees.

I was not expecting this to be this delicious! The chicken is like a whole chicken breast! It's huge! I got the Nashville chicken sandwich with spicy habanero-ghost pepper mayo! It was spicy! But absolutely delicious! I would ask for the mayo on the side if you want to control the heat. Also mayo is great for fries! They dip the breaded chicken in spicy oil. If you don't like spicy the fried chicken sandwich is great too! I would share an order of fries because that's alot of fried food! It's delicious no matter how you order. It's only open after 5pm because it's a shared business location with a coffee shop and bar! Super idea! Honestly, I was a little worried at first because its through back door but it's delicious! Must try! Bonus gluten free bread!
Small sandwich shop in the middle of town. Good food selection, sandwich was of high quality, and the coffee was amazing. Nice seating area outside as they are still restricting seating inside. The inside is small regardless, so will be best to be outside, especially on a good sunny day.

Went to this subway and the worker gave me so much attitude when I was giving my order. My order was a simple cold cut that was cut in half with my veggies on one and the rest of the fixings for the other in a container on the side. They were constantly going back and forth speaking Spanish, breathing deep breaths of annoyance and frustration. I would definitely not suggest going to this subway especially since she charged me incorrectly. Do not waist your time and money here.
We were in Santa Cruz for just one night and staying at a motel right by. We already read good reviews so the choice was simple.
We all had different salads, all of them were fresh, tasty and the portions generous. Price was fair, service courteous and fast. We would have definitely gone back if we would've stayed longer.

Highly recommend stopping here if you are ever in Santa Cruz. Across the street from the beach, the Picnic Basket offers high quality food for fair prices. I searched the whole area for an egg salad sandwich, decided on this spot, and was not disappointed. The macaroni and cheese was just amazing too, creamy and crunchy (bread crumbs). Plenty of seating (try to get a seat outside!), and the staff is very helpful, especially for first time visitors. 5 stars!
