Absolutely amazing. My business took my laptop to a bricks/mortar store with an excellent reputation that we have used in the past for upgrade to a 1TB drive. They tried very hard, but said that the laptop simply could not support a 1TB drive.
Without the larger drive, the laptop was basically worthless for our business. On a lark, prior to my business discarding the computer, I took it to Daryl, mostly because he was close by. I really wasn't expecting anything. Amazingly, he upgraded the drive in days, determining that an esoteric change in the model specs by Dell had prevented the other shop from understanding how to upgrade. Daryl's knowledge of computers is truly amazing.

I am pleased and impressed by the quick response and services provided. I’d been dreading the task of getting my computer serviced and Daryl made it so easy. He picked it up, kept in touch regarding what it needed, and when he returned it, took the time to show me some shortcuts and navigation tools. A few weeks later, he kindly helped me over the phone to connect my printer to my computer. He is knowledgeable, easy to reach, and his rates are reasonable.

I am rather handy with computers. I started out my professional life as a Network Engineer almost 30 years ago. Yet, even today there are computing problems that even I cant fix. Since the days of Windows 3.1 I have been bringing the unfixable to be fixed by Intellect Computers. Five stars is simply not enough. If your computer is broken and your nerdiest friend cant even fix it, then bring it to Intellect Conputers.

This place is honest and upfront. Refused to exaggerate timeframe it would take to complete the work, even when competitors did. Charged way less than others, and did not overbill or come up with extra "work" that needed expenses. Highly recommend.

Stay away from them! Their service is really bad, especially they guy at front desk ‘ john’ . They fixed my laptop and changed me $139 and when I asked about the issue and what they fixed? they tried not to explain to me, they say your laptop is fixed and you just take it. I said I need details about the problem and what did you fix but they only wrote “rest hardware” and didn’t explain anything else and they changed me 139 for this.
Totally non professional people, they are there only to steel money.

this is the one and only Computer Repair shop who can do the job.
personally I believe this is the END of searching for repair or buy a decent PC laptop.

Intellect Computers did an outstanding job fixing an older and difficult to work on Xerox laser printer. They were even able to find and replace a part that was difficult to obtain, and even more difficult to swap out, requiring a complete disassembly of the printer. Despite this, and the amount of labor involved, they still charged a reasonable fee. I highly recommend Intellect Computers, and will certainly use them the next time I need professional assistance.

Andy is TERRIFIC! I have used Andy for perhaps a decade, usually connecting remotely, but a few times he's come here to install new hardware. He is both technically proficient, and he's a great communicator, so I understand what he's sharing with me. I highly recommend him!

These guys were so helpful! I called in and walked in the same day. Derrick helped me troubleshoot what was wrong with my relentless-restarting computer. Talking with Craig is great, a wealth of knowledge. I will certainly be coming back with an PC issues!!

Two weeks ago, I called with a problem on my desk top. Andy took the time to help diagnose it and suggested that I contact the manufacturer after getting the manufacturer's warranty extended, because that was cheaper than a new motherboard. I did and the manufacturer replaced the motherboard.

Andy not only diagnosed the problem on the phone, but he guided me towards the most inexpensive solution and did so for free, taking time out of his day.

I took an almost broken 10 year old hard drive filled with precious family photos in to them. They managed to save and retrieve everything I wanted off of the drive.
Labor price was reasonable and fair.

I was visiting from out of town and found myself in a jam without a computer. Was resigned to buying a machine from one of the big chains, but my sister sent me to The Geek. I was skeptical but Craig was a godsend! He spent hours with me determining my needs and narrowing down my choices. I left with a much faster and more powerful machine at a lower price than I would have gotten at a chain. And I got quite a bit of education from Craig and his staff. KUDOS!

Whenever I go there, they always give me a personal experience. If theirs something I don't know, they explain it to me on a level I can understand. If I make the wrong choice, they get me right. The technician who came from Advnaced today was someone new but he was careful, knowledgeable, and solved the problem I needed to be solved. Advanced Computer 2000 has always been this way. They should change their name to Advanced Computer 2020, becuase they are ahead of their time. I have called on them for years and will continue doing so.

These guys are too good. I woke up one morning to turn on my 2011 iMac and it won't turn on. I did all the trouble shooting I could but non of them worked. I then took it to Apple Store and I was told the power supply had gon bad and needs replacement. The warranty had expired so I divided to pay from my pocket for the power supply replacement.

After the replacement the computer won't still turn on. They then told me the mother board had gone bad and needs replacement which will cost cost me more than a thousand dollars. I told them it was too expensive so it will be better to buy a new one. But I love this PC because it was custom built, 3.4 GHz intel core i7 with 32 GB ram.

I did an online search for iMac repair shop and Eldest Geek came up and i called them and Craig told me to bring it over for diagnostics and he fixed it. The money I paid was very very very cheap than I expected. Thanks Eldest Geek for your great work.

Wow! What a great experience. Painless! He handled getting our computers up and running with ease. He really knows his stuff and he is very patient with those of us that don't really know what's going on. He explains things in plain English without a whole bunch of techno lingo. He really knows his customer. He will definitely be my IT guy in the future..

So this is going to be a long story. TL;DR: Had a really hard hardware problem, Craig and the gang fixed it and went out of their way to see to it I got my computer back in perfect condition.

A little while back, I had an HP Probook stop accepting a charge. Simple power supply swap, right? So I tried to fix it myself. That did not help, and actually, chances are excellent that I probably caused greater issues.

Some weeks prior, I had noticed in a local antique mall that there was a computer repair and retail store that had setup shop inside. Not where you'd guess a computer repair place would be, but I had spoken to them about an unrelated issue a couple weeks before my issue and they were helpful.

I brought my Probook in and they gave me a quote range that was very reasonable that slid based on what was damaged. The specific model is not the most common, so parts are hard to get.

Time went by and I was using a backup computer. The guys contacted me and said the computer was ready. I was out of the country at the time, so they held it. When I got back, I paid them for the work and hardware, brought it home, and apparently their hardware supplier gave them an inferior version of the hardware originally in the Probook. It worked, but the performance suffered. I brought it back, and they were able to take it despite my initial delay in picking up. They looked for another component, it was shipped, and it was DOA. So now we have had bad luck with 2 components. Finally, 3rd time, they got a vendor who supplied the correct part, they swapped everything over, and then SENT the computer cross country to me because I was/am not in Alexandria, now.

So to recap, for a great price on what the original job was, they found the problem, fixed the problem, replaced a bad component, replaced another bad component, then sent the computer cross country to California.

The computer is operating as if it were new, and Craig and his team were communicative and helpful every step of the way.

I highly recommend The Eldest Geek to anyone with a potentially difficult computer issue. They warranty their work, they know what they're doing, and I believe they also sell all sorts of computers and accessories if you're in the market, all at very, very reasonable prices.

I pass by daily in front of their store but never bothered to go in. A couple days ago my computer would not start so i dropped it off the next morning on my way to work. The place is nice, the clerk was attentive and although he said it may take up to 2-3 days to get my computer back, I received a call from them the same afternoon just as I was getting ready to head home. They fixed my problem and the computer was ready to be picked up. Thank you for a job well done.

These guys are the best. My computer was a real problem child. Craig and Alex were able to walk me through the issues, recommend fixes and sensible upgrades, and did a great job working within my budget. They are incredibly patient, and very good at what they do. In the end my computer was not only fixed, but sufficiently upgraded to last me another few years. I will definitely return when I have future computer issues.

Advanced 2000 truly helps you fix your computer, helps you pick the right product, and customizes to your needs. I can't ask for any better place than that.
