After several years we decided to redo the party boat and everything has changed for the worse. I don’t mind the $70/person with an open bar, but the open bar is very limited. When I used to come (pre COVID) they had several tequilas including Don Julio, now they only serve Millagro. That is a stretch as a top shelf tequila. So you need to expand on your liquors especially if you’re advertising top shelf and open bar because that ain’t it! Then the music… Never have I ever listened to a worse DJ. Dude did not play current music, his selection did not cater to his audience, and request made were always lower than the music he played. It was 14 of us on this boat and everyone was dissatisfied with the music. The servers were cool and all the workers were respectful which is the only positive I can say. Pre COVID we came at least once yearly, this boat tour was even a part of my bachelor party night, but now… you have lost a repeat customer. It is not worth it at all! Again, the $70/person is a good concept, but the limited bar and WACK music makes it way overpriced!
Wonderful staff and stories, I wish it was longer on the canal tour

Great experience. Never been on the boat before so i enjoyed it
I was assaulted by captain mike and they are trying to sweep it under the rug. Please don’t go!!! He is very aggressive and angry. He attacked me multiple times.
The trip was amazing and the views too
We liked and enjoyed this trip
But the employer who sold the tickets was extremely rude
She doesn't want to answer our questions and she was so nervous, My friend asked her to stop acting like that and to be more polite but she didn't try to apologize or to take care of us

Fun cruise and good dj...but minus a star because the only trash they have is cans and cups and I'm 99% sure they don't recycle. Come on, so easy.
Me and my party had a great time. The crew was great and offered such and enjoyable experience! Can’t wait to go again
Always ask for a day pass. They don't tell you but if you do more than 1 trip it usually works out cheaper.

Issues: 1. Poor frequency of service. Every 2 hours?

2. Ticketing system is stone age and moronic. Even if you buy a pass you have to try and find a booth at your departure wharf to issue a ticket for each trip. So if you don't prebuy you can't just turn up and ride.

3. Slow. The boat waits around for 15 minutes or more at intermediate stops. They check your ticket with a QR reader as you board which is slooow.

4. No posted schedule or timetable

5. Expensive!! They have boats sitting idle costing money and earning nothing so your fares are high.

This is so bad it must be a government contract.

The service has some tourist value but it is designed to be as inconvenient and inefficient as possible so it is pretty useless aa a mode if transport. It sure ain't a taxi!

True the crew seem courteous and professional. The ride itself is fun and the boats are clean. It's just run in a way that makes it useless as a practical or convenient way to travel.
Took the ferry to Georgetown from the Wharf. Captain John is super friendly as well as the crews who provided an unforgettable journey to us! Tickets are very pricy though.
I would rather let the videos speak for themselves for this one. Grab a beer and chill on the outside/top/inside preferably.
Just one tip- Park you vehicle(if you have one) at a proper paid place if you dont wanna get a $100 ticket like me 🥲

This is my 2nd Bachelorette party this month and I'm in love with these tours. Captain Mike was so nice and had us smooth sailing. You can see all the monuments lit up at night and I recommend the evening tours. The drinks are good as is the music.

I had my friends book the public Open Air Cruise (public) for a birthday party and the experience was awesome! I was communicating with Tonya via email for many weeks prior to the event to ask questions. She was very prompt and thorough with all her responses in answering my questions. We took the night time boat around DC. There was ample seating, drinks were good, music, energy and vibe, were fantastic. The space was also very clean. The boat also wasn't too crowded and over packed at the time, so all guest groups could have their separate spaces. The music was good, it wasn't too loud and the staff was very accommodating to our requests.

I would definitely recommend booking this cool DC experience for a gathering or more upbeat party. It's not really for families or someone looking for a more relaxing cruise. The vibe was much more party so more fun for groups who like to drink and dance.
I never ended up attending the tour. I’m very conservative for low rating reviews and usually don’t give lower than 4. But here me out why I can such a negative star feedback.
I was extremely highly recommended this company on Tuesday. I needed to book for the upcoming weekend and the only opening was for pirate ship (not classic ship) at 8:45-10:45pm. It said bar, water and snacks are included but never actually specified what exactly so we know what we can eat or drink booze.
I was on the dock spot 15 min prior given departure time. Ship didn’t show up and exactly at 8:45 I received and email that “Your status changed”, and given new time one hour later.
No explanations or apologizes or options to refund or reschedule we’re given in that email. And this is a famous company that surprisingly gives no refunds.
The company actings like that should be stoped!
My evening was ruined because I booked not only for myself but a company of friends arrived from another state.
Update: I was not able to reach (they never pick up the phone or reply emails) them nor to cancel the charge via my bank providing the evidence because they respond all charges are non-refundable. I filed with Better Business Bureau and now at the final notice.
Update: it took me 8 months but eventually the company issued a full refund.
Super service and the best way to get to Nats game from Alexandria!
This is a must if you are in DC! It is so pretty and very peaceful way to travel along with a great view! A great way to end our week in DC. The ticketing was really easy and there is a lot of seating (highly recommended going on the top!)

Took the sunset cruise to view the cherry blossoms and it was incredible! Perfect way to view the beautiful trees and the monuments lit up at night. Great host and captain. Highly recommend!!
They called it a Fall Cruise, made it sound so romantic. The boat was pretty raggedy, there weren't any really nice views, the food was really bad. I heard someone complain that their hot dog was cold. The tables were covered in cheap vinyl tablecloths with fake candles and fake fall leaves. The top deck where the only real views could be had was clausterphobically over crowded, the windows downstairs were murky and scratched-up fiberglass. There were two small pumpkins perched on a little ledge in the bar area with two phony fall leaves draped over them, in case we forgot we were on a "Fall Cruise."
Smooth ride, on-time departures, courteous staff, pleasant experience. Fun way to get to and from Alexandria and the Wharf.
Had a great time taking the boat to the Nationals game!
Very smooth ride!! A lot of options to sit- inside area, outside covered ( first floor), upper open area (second floor). It’s accessible to everyone. A great way to escape traffic, spend time on the water, and see good views! Would recommend highly.

The sightseeings are bit far from our cruise, but there is bilingual language (english and chinese) explain history about the city, river, and those sights. Some of the views are block by the trees. Photograph lovers better bring good camera and lens for capture the views. The small refresh bar is really small and it is near by the restrooms which is really really really smelly. That’s why I wish to get drinks but end-up didn’t buy anything. Wish they can improve a little.
Took a Saturday Happy hour cruise with my wife, was a great experience! Staff was friendly and courteous and answered any questions I could think of. The Anecostia? river was very beautiful at night, and the occasional explanations from the man over the PA system was very welcome. At first we thought the booze was a bit overpriced, but upon visiting other establishments in the city we realized that it was actually a dollar or so below the average, so it seems like the city is just more expensive overall.
Worst cruise ever, rather than welcoming the staff is every frustrated, and more interested in getting the customers out of cruise than making them welcoming, also very old and stinky ride.
Staff is very rude and the body language is like don’t even try to ask me anything or expect anything !!
Zero Rating.....
Very bad experience with staff.
I would not go or recommend anyone to go there.
No info or anything rather than trying to sell some over priced stuff on board.
Bad and smelly furniture also bad restrooms.

Worse excuse for a cruise, ever! Don't expect to see any of the Cherry Blossoms. They never take you anywhere in the vicinity of the Cherry Blossom Trees. Which are on the complete other side of the trip we went, towards Alexandria. We litterly went in the direction of Alexandria, and just circled around in front of the Ronald Reagan Airport. We went no where towards the Washington Monument were all the Cherry Trees are located. They had no intention on going that way because they had a prerecorded tape narrating the area going away from the monuments and Cherry Trees. If you just want to ride around on a boat, then this might be worth it. Make sure you do not follow their ridiculous walking directions. They claim that you should take the (walkway) from the back of the Mandarin Hotel. Yet they fail to mention that you have to go through the hotel to get to the walkway. It's completely blocked off from the street! We had to walk under the walkway and cross the dangerous streets farther away. They also claimed to go to Will Call to get your tickets. They didn't even have any tickets. We could have just walked off the street and got in line for free. I asked the girl at Will Call about the ignorant directions, and she had no idea. Two small glasses of cheap bad tasting Rose cost $18.00. Of course they don't allow any drink or water on the boat so they can overcharge you for theirs. It's best to eat or drink before you arrive or just sneak something in a bag or backpack. They also claim you can board thirty minutes beforehand. They actually board right on time so you just have to stand there and wait. Try the cruises from Old Town Alexandria. They are exactly as described and well worth it!!!

They ran the cruise even though it was myself and the youngster only. Service was pretty decent though I called to ask about where it was and the first time they gave me a location and we got there and nothing, called again only to be told we had to be at a different location miles away with only 15 minutes before our cruise was supposed to leave. They put us on the later one with no issue. The captain? (The guy that drove the boat) was a little lax because it was only the 2 of us, however the other gentlemen (can not remember his name, he made us leave the top deck for the low bridges and lowered the antennas etc and said he would help us if we wanted any of the snacks available for purchase) he was awesome. Super friendly, funny, chatted with us and was nice to the kiddo. He definately made up for the lack of interaction with the driver of the boat.

It was nice and peaceful. I went during the afternoon. If you use groupon the boat might look different than the posted picture. But in would definitely go again. It's a short nice activity.
We went on a Sunday during cherry blossom and they over booked the book, we got there early and had seating, due to the over booking we could only see the back of everyone head people were lined up on the railings so no one had a unobstructed view. The advertising it as a tidal basin tour the went away from the tidal basin.
This is a cool way to get around see the city from a different perspective. The ride is pretty smooth and out ferry was nearly empty so we could roam around with no issues. On board WiFi and charging ports at the seats if you’re “dying” while you’re traveling - very convenient to have the juice!

Good for watching sunset and have a drink in the boat. Not a whole lot of monuments you can see. I am not sure about the day trip especially when it's sunny. It's not like a Statue of liberty boat ride which is nice day time or evening.

DC Cruises has been a great venue partner for hosting my music events! The staff is awesome and I have had a great time working with them this year! I highly recommend them!
Worst cruise ever. Overly crowded, rude staff and they are more concerned about selling snacks and drinks as opposed to explaining about the buildins in the area.
Amazing cruise, beautiful sceneries.
I wasn’t expecting much for the reasonable ticket prices. The boat was nice enough and the staff were friendly. I wish we were able to get closer to the Washington Monument but overall it was a good experience.
