Hay de todo buena atención
A beautiful place for tourists and locals alike. You cannot visit Quito without visiting this beautiful landmark where you can haggle your way to some nice discounts on very beautiful pieces of clothing, trinkets and very interesting art pieces to bring back home. They have over a hundred booths filled with most any keepsake you can imagine and the occasional home remedy for what ails you. I had a chest cough that literally hurt and all it took to make it easier was a $5 bottle of a home remedy made with ginger and something called tutuma. I’m a believer.

My friend and I totally enjoyed wandering through this market and we bought some beautiful items. Some thins are mass produced (it's an outstanding place to buy t-shirts and llama sweaters) and other things were hand crafted and unique to that stall. We looked at every stall and noted what we liked (each stall is numbered); then went back to buy. It's a great place to people watch too.

easy access, you can find, I would say, everything needed at home when it comes to groceries, they also have a food plaza where you can find affordable and good ecuadorian traditional food.

Nice little market area to buy some souvenirs. You can bargain with the vendors and if you don’t like the price just go to a different vendor as they all seem to sell from the same supplier. When I went in the morning not all the stores were open and as time passed more and more opened up. Also make sure to pay in cash, there is a credit card fee if use a card

Furniture is available here with average quality and average price but taking care while moving there is required to avoid pickpocketing
A nice place to buy souvenirs at a decent price. Most stores have the same things for the same prices. Magnets can be 6for$5 ($1 each) or 3for$5or $2ea. If you're walking around as a tourist, you are dollar sign. Don't let the merchants be too pushy. Walk around and then decide what you like. Don't be afraid to haggle a little.
Good place to pick up fruit and veg for hiking trips. And definitely get the seafood soup and lime pickle - so cheap and so tasty
If you are looking for souvenirs this is a great place to check out. Since this is a market bartering is strongly suggested. They will usually lower the price so you don't lose anything and you can find some nice things to take. Just keep in mind that you may find some things cheaper than the first place you see an it.

I am in Quito for a month from Canada. I was so happy to find this market. Lots of fruits and vegetables. Very cheap. You can get a lot for $10. 5 avocados for a$1. Over 20 bananas for $1, 2 or 3 pineapple for a $1. You can have fresh juices and smoothies.

This is the place where you can get all the souvenirs you want for a cheap price and nice quality! I bought chocolates for 5 dollars, trousers for 5 dollars and a nice ring for 7 dollars! Defo is worth visiting!

Local fresh produces such as poultry, seafood, vegetables, fruits, etc are on sale on lower lever. Cooked foods & drinks are on 2nd level. Clean & well organised food court with good seatings. Closed by 3pm
One of the biggest markets in town with a wide variety of sellers. Be sure to checkout the warehouses that sell in bulk and small quanties. Always negotiate the price with the fruit and vegtable vendors.

It is a nice and clean market where you can buy craftsmanship and all kinds of souvenirs, native clothing, hats, jewelry and everything you ask for.

Un buen mercado pero seria mucho mejor que por lo menos de lunes a sabado esten mas vendedores y comerciantes para tener como primera opcion de compra los productos de primera necesidad. Por el resto es muy organizado y limpio.

Clean and save although mask is needed
This is a huge market that is mostly fruit/vegetable vendors selling in large quantity. I go Thursday morning 05h00. It is crazy busy. The cost of fruit/vegetable things is very very good when buying in quantity for a party or whatever. Depends on the product, but generally less than half price compared to other market/store price. Fantastic huge crazy busy market. Also dry goods, but later, maybe 08h00. I only know for Thursdays 04h00 to 08h00 time.
Excellent variety of groceries. However, the place is almost always crowded and, to get good prices you'll need to walk among bikes, cars and other vehicles spread out short spaces.

Dirty, filthy, unpleasant, overcrowded, and disgusting but they have many options of fresh produce and some other stuffs.
The key word is stay alert always, mind your own business and do not wear anything attractive to the eyes of pickpockets or thieves.

A great variety of food items, including a small food court. This is a place that locals shop at. Very interesting to see the variety, including natural herb healers.
Nice market but there's a lot of trash outside the market, in other case the food is delicious and you can eat a good food

A nice and clean market in the city of Quito. It's located in a quite and safe neighbourhood. As an additional detail, you will find in this restaurant one of the best corvina dishes.

Great place to pick up some delicious fresh fruit. If not a local take care with the food stalls. Ecuadorians have a nose to tail approach to meat and while aspirational I’m still not used to eating offal. The fish looked good but didn’t get a chance to try it. Food stalls ranged from juices, to more hearty stalls serving seafood or meat with rice or as a soup.
Great place to get produce in bulk, it's like a Costco or Sam's club only that is outside and you get to bargain with the fruit and veggies people. There is another section where you can get grains and other goods in bulk. Probably the best price in the city.

It's crowded but you can find cheap things. The people is friendly but you need to take care of your belongings all the time.
Great place, where I found everything I needed at a very accessible price, even weird herbs as sage, which is not so common to find... also I was attended with kindness and without any judge from the sellers; which also know about local folklore and do not judge but they can even give you tips on how doing things to do them better...

Typical market aimed at the locals so nothing for us to buy buy a great experience, we then followed the steps up the hill to the military museum
Too many people and the sanity wasn't that good.
This is a local market but it has a lot of gang activity and should be avoided by the lone tourist. Go with a local person who knows what to look for in regards to the crime activity if you just have to see this market
Cool little local market to buy produce and have a cheap local lunch. And great juice!
