Nice space, rare exception to cramped NYC hangouts. Unfortunately most beers are super fruity this or that thing. Restaurant in house was the same kind of thing when I was here; some fruity twist on every single thing, "bacon jam" on lamburger (not hamburger) for instance.

Great place for a party with a large room full of great sound systems. We had a great time with family and friends.

Love the music they play - wish they would turn UP the volume ❤️ can't speak about the beer but so glad they serve mixed drinks now. Always ample space for small parties. And good people working there

After tasting two beers that I did not like, they told me I only get two tastes. Sorry, but they have a bunch of unknown beers, I am not risking getting a beer I can’t enjoy.
Waste of a trip… never again!!

Update after their first response:
Most ‘small business’ breweries and for that matter ‘small’ microbrew venues do not put a cap on tastes.
Furthermore, your proposed solution is exactly what I am complaining about, I could buy your flight and find I don’t enjoy the beers, thus buying something that I don’t enjoy - that’s not what a visit to a brewery or microbrew venue is supposed to be about. I don’t like what I tried and thanks to your policy that’s all I’ll know about your beer.

I could name drop several ‘small’ breweries a reasonable distance from your establishment that are more than happy to give as many tastes as necessary for their customers to find the right beer. But, instead I’ll just point this out, your unwillingness to give a reasonable number tastes lost you my business yesterday and going forward. Plus, when I brewery hop with friends I’ll recommend those breweries instead of yours. In reality you don’t want someone like me at your establishment, you’re likely better off with someone who doesn’t know a good beer if it hit them in the face - your wit beer is nowhere near actual Belgian taste, and you amber was horrible. I’ll stick with Hoegaarden and just about any decent off the shelf amber (Alaskan Amber, Fat Tire, etc)

Long story short...1st time visiting the brewery. Went to the bar and asked for a sample, and was told to go take a seat at a table. The waitress comes over, and we ask for a tasting before ordering a pint. She tells us she can't give us any samples because it's starting to get a little crowded. We asked if we went to the bar, Can we get a sample she said yes. Back to the bar we go. The beertender asked us why we were back at the bar, and we let him know what happened. He shook his head, mumbled something, and proceeded to give us a few samples to try. Personally, I was not a fan of the beers. But everyone has their own tastes in beer.

We were there on Saturday.

This brewery is always so much fun. They usually have an obscure movie or show going on. There's plenty of both indoor AND outdoor space so you can bring the whole family! Outside there is a small play area for kids that is away from the street so it's easy to relax.
Definitely check out their little taco spot which is semi-attached!
Great local brewery. Tucked away fromthe busyness but plenty of space. Great beer. Lots of games available. Huge projector for movies. The highlights for me were the 12th St stout and the Lemon drop pils
What a pleasent place with tasty beers and a lovely cat on the bar! I loved it!

One of my new favorite in town. It has so many spaces, an indoor space ( beer hall ) with big projector playing indie movies, a patio in between the taco joint next door, the tasting room and the beer hall. The patio is sandy like a beach! Also there is an outdoor promenade with loads of benches surrounded by cute warehouses, its like an oasis hidden in between LIC high rises.

On top of the great vibe, the beer are great, loads of options , got the wheat ale and honey pilsner, both taste terrific :)

One thing to note, since they done serve food, you can do take outs from the taco / pizza / indian spots nearby and eat them there !
Just spent 5 days in New York, stumbled across this place when exploring the nearby park on a rainy afternoon. I was made to feel very welcome and came back every evening during my trip. The beer they brew here is amazing , the Hawaiian Pizza IPA is out of this world. In fact they are all good beers. Locals were friendly and amusing, and of course there is Brownie the resident cat, who oversees the place.

This is a real paradise for craft beer lovers. Their brew is carefully prepared, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it an ideal place to taste unique flavors. A must-visit place for beer lovers! 🍻 🍺 🍻
Did what many others suggested, get beer here and food at the Mexican place next door. The beer was fine, but not outstanding.

The atmosphere was great in the central yard area.
Their mojito sour is legit fantastic 5/5.

The atmosphere is ok. The space is a weird shape and I don't think the current table arrangement is complimentary to it.

Cleanliness was middling. A few empty glasses left on the tables when we got there and the bathroom was out of toilet paper.

Brewery along the stretch that offers a good selection but at a slightly higher price point. Vibe felt a bit lacking of character and it felt weird that the staff straight up stopped serving people to do a round of shots but the beers did the job. Outdoor seating is nice especially in the summer.

Very good beer here. U can bring your own food. Great service. Big onsite brewery
I had a great time at Rockaway Brewing Company. They have a lot of beer options to suit any taste, and the vibe is chill and cozy. The staff are super nice and helpful, and they even have a cute cat that hangs out with the customers. They also host live music and movie nights, which sounds fun.
The only downside is that they don't have much food to offer. The bartender didn't seem to know what was on the menu or when it would be ready, I wish they would improve their food service, because everything else is awesome.

This taproom is a good addition joint to chill in LIC neighborhood.
It’s very open and spacious inside with cool vibe. Outdoor there are picnic table seatings at the pedestrian plaza.
They brew their own beer on site, also have wine and cocktails.
They don’t have food menu but you can order Mexican bites from Sobremesa next door.
Great spot, off the beaten path, stopped by after the beach on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Friendly female bartender. Will be back. Beers were great, nice outdoor picnic table seating

Chill spot, lots of seating, indoor/outdoor options, live music, arcade games and decent beer…what more could you want. Great option for dates, groups, families, etc. No food but you can order delivery.

Great refreshing lemon sour! Nice outdoor seating for small groups and couples. Wouldn’t stay for a full afternoon but a great stop along the way when brewery hoping in LIC.
We were staying in hotel around the corner and visited here couple of times. Excellent range of beers, able to taste before you buy too.
No food served but got mexican ordered from next door which was excellent
I visited this brewery at the end of a Saturday. It's nearly at the end of the A line, which makes it difficult to get here and back. I got a flight of beers, none of which were particularly fantastic. The place had an old-school rock aesthetic but without a strong reason to head back more than once unless you live in the neighborhood.

What a fabulous space to grab a drink - friendly bartenders, so much outdoor seating, and their beers are great!

A great plus about this place is that they offer a 12oz option for some of their beers, which is the perfect amount for me (if I get a pint, it’ll usually end up lukewarm by the time I get to the bottom). Highly recommend the precise coordinates IPA. Lots of dogs. And kids. They cancel each other out.

I'm so HAPPY I came across Rockaway Brewing Company. I was at Gantry State Park enjoying the sunset, taking some pictures, and taking in the beautiful views when I decided to walk back to the subway station.

Fortunately I bumped into RBC on my way back and was exactly the vibe I needed. The seating area indoors is not too big and not too small, but just right. The place was very welcoming, crowd down to earth, and the bartender very friendly.

I had two beers - Who Let the Frogs Out (IPA) and the American Pils. Both fantastic!! 🍺 🍺

And above all, there is a brewery CAT! His name is Brownie and he practically runs the place. 😺

I can't wait to come back here very soon!

Our favorite brewery. My husband and I went to there sometimes. Bartender is generous, he gave us 5 tasting beers💕I like Higher Burnin' India Pale Ale 7% 🍺

Nice music, fresh beer, kids and dog friendly. It’s nice to spend time on weekend. Very relaxing 🍻
Lovely place, stopped for a beer after a long way and had a really nice chat with the barman Justin. Was super quiet as was out of season but beer was great and was a really nice stop off. Go there if you're in the area but maybe check they are open before making the trip (we messaged them on Instagram and they confirmed they were open). Recommended!
Thanks Nick for the hospitality and enlightening us to some local whiskies and bourbons. I had the Smokey wings and Rafa had the scrumptious wings. They were both good. @WiscoMary
Best beer in NYC = Rockaway IPA. That's a fact. And while drinking it, enjoy the view of Midtown Manhattan. 😎
What a lovely calm & quiet place to relax.

Great vibes, small but curated selection of good beers and the prices were pretty standard! The Pilsner and the sour were both nice and we had a good time sitting close to the garage door with a view of LIC. Was able to bring my
Bike just inside to keep it out of the rain. I’ll be coming back for trivia on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. Bonus points for the disco ball!
I love this place. Great atmosphere and amazing staff. I haven't tried everything on the menu yet but the steak was delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked to the temp I requested, it was well seasoned and the chimichurri sauce was amazing. The French fries and salad that came with it were very good as well. The vinaigrette they used was delicious. Highly recommended.

I don’t usually like to leave a negative review and this ain’t one! Wow! They have beers, seats, and glasses that those beers go into!

Shout out to the previous reviewer on the tip to join in on the fun at the bar. We all part of the clique baby!

It doesn't seem to be a place that is interested in people outside of the bartender's clique of friends. The group occupied almost the entire bar as they watched a TV series projected on the screen at high volume, celebrating gags effusively.
I also found it excessive to pay 16 dollars for two small glasses of IPA, in an uncomfortable environment.

I absolutely love this wide open taproom! There are
*19 different Alewife drafts (incl flights),
*usually 1 hard cider + 1 hard seltzer
*usually 3 or 4 draft cocktails
*usually 2 or 3 wine options,
*a full cocktail + spirits menu
*great selection of 4 packs + bottles to-go,

*Monday-Thursday happy hour specials
*3 jumbo projection screens for live TV/sports/movies/NintendoSwitch,
*a bunch of arcade games (pinball, Ms.Pacman, Ninja Turtles, Capcom vs Marvel, basketball, BuckHunter),
*a mug club with fun perks/swag/discounts
*Monday open mic + all night happy hour
*Tuesday night NYC Trivia League,
*Wednesday night Teacher Appreciation & bottle share,
*Thursday night Bingo with cash prize
*some of NYC's best food vendors (Fri-Sun year-round plus a few added nights during summers).

There's a high ceiling inside with giant fans as well as a ton of outdoor seating! It's kid friendly during the afternoon/early evening and dog friendly 24/7 (they even have Alewife branded dog biscuits made with pumpkin, PB, and spent beer grains)! Some of the friendliest and most diverse staff you'll find in NYC!

Check their website (www.alewife.beer) for all of their fun events. Better yet, sign up for their newsletter for weekly updates
This has been a great addition to the community and a cool little spot. Love the selection of beers and food. Hamburger is awesome. The staff is super chill, friendly and always helpful.
The Long Island City location is quite accessible but has very limited seating. This location in the Rockaways has ample seating and food available. The beer selection is still the same as the other location and just as good. This would be a good location to enjoy a beer while visiting the beaches nearby.

While they gave me a "Thousand Stars" (German style pilsner) I can only give them a maximum of 5 stars. There are so many good beers like Death to Ego (Hazy IPA) available.

While they currently do not fill crowlers & growlers they do offer 4-pack cans.
An interesting selection of beers with friendly and knowledgeable bar staff. They were in the midst of installing a huge projection screen for sport fans (maybe soap operas, who knows? lol). The food offered by an outside vendor exceeded expectations.

This brewery seems to specialize in Pale ales & stouts but little of anything else. Their website need to be updated as is has remained the same for some time without anything new. They only had 1 line of beer available in 4 packs but they offered to fill my growler the next time I visit.
It's nice to find a Brewery that's open in the early afternoon and fills crowlers & growlers. There may not be much as regards to seating or the restrooms this Brewery merits a visit especially if one is visiting Gantry State Park.

While ESB (Extra Sour Bitter) is a reliable go-to choice, the Power Lunch (Porter) is another good option. Usually a when a beer exhibits a dark color like a stout it has a heavy body. Power Lunch drinks like a pale ale.

Please note that growlers are only filled weekdays as it can get busy on weekends.

Loved the atmosphere! Exactly what one would expect from a brewery located in Queens. The selection was diverse. I had the Hawaiian pizza and Variation IPA. They were both fruit forward. While the HP seemed to be the locals favorite I actually preferred the Variation (v4).
Fun spot that’s been here a while. Good selection of takeaway cans and a neighborhood feel makes his a fun low key spot. Excellent that they do small sized pours and also flights. Solid rotation of beers all the time. Enjoyed the saison and esb.
I live by their Rockaway Beach location but last night I went right to the source and was not disappointed. The beer was great as always and the atmosphere is great. The owners as well as the staff are always willing to talk and are very knowledgeable about the product. If you are in the area do not hesitate. Just go! Tell Marcus and Ethan hi for me.
