What a wonderful dinner in Brussels. I was skeptical because its in the heart of the tourist area, but the food, service and atmosphere was amazing. The place was completely booked and a lot of locals were dinning here so I felt more like a local than a tourist. The decor was very elegant and clean. All the food was wonderful, the wine was very good and the service was great. They gave me an English menu which was very welcome. I would not hesitate to go back here again for dinner! Well worth the money!
Very fun place! Had the shrimp croquettes, mussels and frites. Beer was also excellent! Our server, David was great!

We booked in advance, got a table inside. The food came super fast. We took the stew and meatballs. Everything was delicious
Chanced upon this restaurant and hit the jackpot. Lovely food and great service. The salmon and shrimp salad is fantastic. I can recommend this restaurant for a great lunch stop whilst in Brussels.

Really great wait staff. Food was outstanding. Great atmosphere with good vibes. Fabulous beer and wine selection mixed with a plethora of local delicacies.
My server Mika was amazing from top to bottom, worked his butt off and made sure that everything was great with our meal. The food was even better, from the appetizers, to the wines, to the main courses. 10/10 recommend the filet. Attaching a picture of the appetizers, goat cheese salad, and the sautéed mushroom with bread.
We had a wonderful evening at Taverne du Passage. My asparagus soup with foi grass was sublime as was my steak. Service was fabulous. Highly recommend.
Nice casual but still respectful restaurant very close to the Grand Place of Brussels! Great and fast customer service, all waiters were very polite & helpful. Although I am not a beer expert, I got a great dark one! Food was nice as well, I got the Belgian recipe beef with the red sauce, fries and a small salad alongside.

Very nice meal and kind service. Had the mushroom linguine. Certainly not a traditional Belgium dish, but it was really good. I wanted to test the desert but the pasta filled me up. Coffee and cappuccino was nice as well. Sat outside to couple watch. Was a bit windy and chilly but a seat near one of the heaters was very comfortable. If I come back to Brussels, I would certainly go again.

In life, you need to know that places like La Brouette really do exist. They are waiting to be discovered and fill you with a glowing sense of satisfaction. La Brouette evokes a distant childhood memory of home and warm welcomes. You might be forgiven for believing that cafes like this only exist as film sets.
On a brisk January Sunday morning when snow was forecast, my daughter and I had some privileged 'dad and daughter' time, and we fancied breakfast. We headed at random to the center of town, stroking Everard t'Serclaes for luck as we ambled into the Grand Place where, perchance, we found this cozy gem was open. Everard sure knows how to deliver at short notice. Even after all these years here, I still consider us strangers in this land, a couple of notches above tourists, but not nearly natives yet, and in my mind's eye La Brouette is 'ground zero Belgium'. It doesn't get much lovelier than this. I believe they serve the most satisfying breakfast on the Grand Place.
The décor is wall-to-wall wooden panels and old-fashioned decorations with a live fireplace. We were instantly welcomed by friendly staff, and they offered us a generous table bathed in cozy lighting with a menu full of winter warmers. Come here and you can experience Belgian hospitality in one sitting. The coffee is strong, so don’t make my mistake and order two unless you enjoy palpitations in your step and talking very fast. Pastries are buttery and full of flaky goodness. La Brouette has the best hallmarks of simplicity, honesty, and a slightly kitsch and fun atmosphere.
My daughter and I sat and ate, we took a few lazy minutes to pencil some drawings together. We played tic-tac-toe and never felt we were overstaying our welcome despite the constant flow of people walking in and out. I reconnected with aspects of café culture that I had not experienced for many years since sitting on a Parisian terrace near the Boulevard Haussmann. La Brouette is for people-watching and breakfast-feasting with those you love in a cozy and safe space.
Belgians probably have rules against changing La Brouette, and if not, then they should vote them in immediately. I will forgive them the off-tone distraction of a TV screen by the counter at the back as it belched lewd flashes of modernity into an otherwise perfect landscape.
There will be privileged time in which to experience La Brouette at its best; I expect this establishment has a very different vibe in summer, and that it is best enjoyed outside of crowded times.
It was so good I'm almost scared of going back lest I ruin the experience and the perfect memory.

This used to be a restaurant I came to often. In fact one of the first restaurants I visited when moving to Brussels. It’s stilll a restaurant with excellent food - but the service? Waitresses are super stressed - run around and miss details. Add more staff! Today I had to ask for sparkling water twice before it arrived. And after a very good lunch I asked for the dessert menu. 20 minutes later I have the menu but absolutely no one picking up my order. But the food was excellent. And now waitinc to be able to pay ……. Another marathon

Pet friendly. Nice service. Tasty food. Situated on the main square.
Boooked for a special lunch, the restaurant is a classic! Lovely atmosphere, deicious food and effortless service.

Generous portions and dining also with two children (not particularly fussy with food) was easy as they shared an adult portion. All was well cooked and full of flavour. Despite the escalope being slightly overcooked the rest were to the point.
We only had mains, and frankly they were rather filling on their own.
The mussels Mariniere were one of the best we have tried.

Easy to communicate, both in English and of course French.

We will be happy to visit again when we are back in Brussels.

Location and building are nice.

Food, the fries (chips) are *not* special, barely average, for Belgium this is disappointing! The moules were bland. The broth they were in was, too, at first, and it seemed the same, but taken alone it was very refreshing.

Service friendly but under verging on understaffed.

Saddening for them that they are Wasing their dishes in bottled water. That must be a big expense for the company. Saddening for myself as potentially a roudy brit in a place where alcohol flows (having just come out of beer world, this gets a tick from me for thr sky bar), and I can't get a free glass of water to tame any alcohol influences I may have.

Ultimately you go to this place for the location. But even with this, the food needs to good look at and improving. If I had a day in Brussels and this was the only place I ate at I would describe the place as having bad food!

First 1 star. This is because the reputation of your city is with you and standards should be highly

This has become my regular go-to local bar when I’m visiting Brussels. After a busy day it’s the friendly & welcoming staff, perfect relaxed Euro-ambience and great beer choice that keeps me coming back.

If you’re in Brussels and looking for a super-friendly setting in the busy Grand Place, then this is your spot. Tarlan will likely greet you with a big smile and a welcoming “Bonjour!”

Please just don’t take my table. 😊

The dining atmosphere gives a cozy and welcoming vibe. We were greeted and sat right away, but between having a drink spilled on me, a crooked table, and mediocre food, it wasn’t worth the price. While I understand things happen, no one even offered me an extra napkin despite being covered in someone else’s half finished drink. Our server was friendly and warm but it didn’t make up for the food - while it was plated beautifully it lacked flavor. There are many other options that are half the price and better food.
A little hesitant knowing the location and landmark it is but honestly it was good food with great service. Went for the Belgian mussels marinière style with white wine and the vol au vent and it did not disappoint. Specially happy with the sweetbreads in my vol au vent and the fries were right on point

The steaks weren't seasoned ( no salt or pepper). The pepper and mushroom sauces that came with the steaks were watery and had absolutely no taste. I found out later that they charge 2 euros per sauce. The 18 euros chef's salad was mostly iceberg salad and heated up frozen seafood drowned in some salad sauce. Service was slow and chaotic but friendly. Too bad..
The bone marrow starter was one of the most amazing dishes I’ve had. Steak tartar was delicious as well. Chicken with rooted vegetables and morel sauce was filling. The yule log was sweet, and crème brûlée was soft and not too sweet. Great service.
This place from outside looks very simple, but the food in here is amazing. I ordered tenderloin steak and a burger. The steak was juicy, soft, and so well made. It's incredible how nice the burger was as well. I typically don't like burgers, but I loved their burgers. It was juicy and very nice. I typically don't digest burgers well, but in here, I had no issues. I'm definitely visiting this place again.

Price medium-high but overall good.
They offer Belgian menu with few interesting proposals. food is good as well as service. I’ve asked for a changing due to food allergy and they were able to adjust with cooker.
Staff is very kind and with fast service.
Athmosphere relaxed in elegant environment. Inside of the gallery, very well perceived.

The service was incredibly fast. The Atmosphere and location were both amazing. The Flemish beef stew was disappointing. The sauce was bland, just large beef chunks with sauce and no vegetables ( no carrots, no potatoes and no onions ). And the beef cubes were kinda of cold. I loved everything else about the restaurant. The beer wasn’t over priced either.

The sample beer was great and brought to my very quickly.
Food was okay, atmosphere and staff are great though :)

I highly recommend this restorant, the food is great, the stuff is very welcoming.
Decided to try this place despite no one being in it. Food was really good. Service was fine, nothing over the top nor did they provide any recommendations or give an impression they cared to serve you.
Hard to rate the atmosphere since we were the only people in the whole restaurant.

Went in mid-afternoon, during our visit of Grand Place. Conveniently located next to major attractions, it was a great find.

Food was great and was not as expensive as I thought it would be for such a highly touristic area. They also have a good selection of beer. The waiters were friendly and even though they were slammed with orders, we didn’t wait to long to get our food.

Overall, definitely suggest if you are looking for a place to eat next to Grand Place.

Good- Good location, sat outside , food was very tasty, cristal 0.0% beer was really tasty as well.
Service was fast and fair- but to give credit to all the staff it was 28c and i would hate to be working outside in that weather, so appreciate that they would have been feeling the heat. I would 100% come back again to dine there.

Nice bere selection. Burgers and pasta şaş really delicious. Big portions and very tasty. I suggest this Place. The mussels look great. Nexttime we will try Mussels
We recently dined at Brasserie de la Reine in Brussels, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. This charming establishment exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for an outstanding culinary journey.

Both the Pasta Bolognese and Pasta Carbonara were exquisite. Each dish, thoughtfully prepared, brimmed with robust, authentic Italian flavors. The Bolognese sauce was a savory symphony of meat and herbs, while the Carbonara offered a wonderfully creamy concoction, studded with crispy pancetta.

The Battin Fruitée beer was another high note of the meal. This fruity brew, with its refreshing tang, provided a perfectly balanced accompaniment to the hearty pastas.

One aspect to note, however, is that Brasserie de la Reine accepts only cash payments. They do not take credit cards, so ensure to have cash handy to avoid any inconvenience.

Nonetheless, I recommend Brasserie de la Reine wholeheartedly to anyone craving a fantastic meal in Brussels.

Perfect location on Grand Place for tourist; to enjoy the beauty of this UNESCO protectected square whilst drinking Belgian beer, eating traditional meals or waffles. Take special note of tasting meal and beer menus...

The kitchen sends out food really quickly.

Our server was extremely fast, attentive, multilingual, polite....

Recommending 3/1 Belgian tasting menu with fries, fish burger, beers and waffles!

Their terrace is packed, but in a beautiful setting, the interior is interesting, and toilets are clean.
Not the cheapest place to have a meal, but quality is great. In the heart of the old city, next to the major tourist spots.
Beautiful restaurant, great service, delicious food, reasonably priced meals. It honestly deserved more customers. I didn’t look it up online so I wasn’t put off with what seems like a low rating, I was gonna go next door but it was expensive and this had gorgeous ambiance, reasonably priced, and quieter. I took a chance and it paid off but it was kind of sad how empty it was, the chef was just looking out the window and was so happy when a family decide to come in.

The scampi was delicious and they were very generous with the shrimp. Great beer selection as well and I would’ve stayed for desert if I wasn’t so full. I do recommend this place, give it a shot.

Very nice pub with a wide choice of beers. The owners and staff are very friendly as well. They just need to make sure they are open as mentioned on the opening hours on the website. Last time I passed by they should have been open from 11 o´clock but they were still closed at 12u30.
Really lovely bar to come to for a couple of drinks whilst you watch the world go by. Prices are a little higher, but we didn't mind and saw it as fair given the location being right in Grand Place.
Would recommend coming here.
I never eat so expensive bad. It taste like prisonfood. Thanks for the great experience !.

okay after an intense day of the European commission needed a place to relax unpack the loads of information and discuss with my colleagues.
but where do you go after an intense defis day?
here Bylbos 1898 it's a close walk and even closer to the metro station to get you to other parts of Brussels.
when I and my colleagues walked in we were welcome I mean welcomed and were seated where everyone wherever we wanted to sit.
okay had a couple of amazing Belgian beers on tap enjoying the amazing decor.
get it gets better because it's always fun to converse with your host that found out that this place specializes in creating amazing Lebanese Cuisine.
they even do the chicken wings marinated for 2 days slathered with this pungent garlic sauce from Lebanon.
what I know is that if I was notified that I would die tomorrow and I was told what would be your last meal it would either be Pho or Lebanese chicken wings like they serve here.

Came for dinner reservations, but was not necessary. It was not overly busy and could have been seated right away without a reservation. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, but sat inside with the cold weather. Service was friendly, welcoming, and quick. Ordered Battin Extra and Battin Triple to drink, which were both great. Ordered fried calamari for a hot appetizers, which were cooked great and not overdone. Then ordered the vol-au-vent that had a great sauce and moist chicken, not overlooking it. Also had the grilled salmon, which was cook well, although it did not have the skin for a crisp texture. Lastly had the Bailey' coffee, which was a really great way to finish dinner. I did want to order the mussels, however they were sold out by the time I came to the decision to get orders. I would recommend coming earlier if you I want to order mussels. I YOHefinitely come back for another meal.
Had a very good caprese salad with pesto and a second of beef stew with French fries. A very nice place indeed.

Excellent food and service
Wide menu international and Arabic
Speak Arabic French and English
Not cheap but affordable
Cosy and good for medium group
Convenient place for business lunches or dinners. The place is nice, the service is good and the food is good too. Waiting time for the food was a little longer they expected but not as much as to complain. Traditional Belgian and international cuisine.

Petits concerts certains jours. A découvrir!

I read about this new place a few months ago, and yesterday I visited Brasserie 28 for the first time. We did not eat here, we had a drink. We liked the place a lot. It is conveniently located within the Brussels Central Station, on the spot where the former post office used to be. We had the impression that it yet needs to be discovered. It was a Monday evening - probably not the most busy time of the week and there were a few people on the terrace outside and a few customers inside. They have about twenty beers, half amongst them are products of the Caulier Brewery which owns the pub. My friend ordered a Caulier brune and I chose the Caulier Triple. We both liked our choice! The pub is spacious and you can easily find a comfortable place to sit. The waitress was friendly and efficient, the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely go here again and maybe you should do so also...

Brasserie 28 is located in the Brussels Central Station. You can enter via side entrance just on your left when you are with your back side to the ticket offices. Otherwise you can come in via the street.

The beer choice is a revelation comparing with all the pubs who are going for the easy Inbev mainstream beers.

I can suggest you to try the Caulier 28 Tripple or the Caulier Brett.

Don’t mention the unprofessional and sometimes rude staff. They don’t even know their own beers (promoting Caulier Brett as a blond beer is a big mistake. It’s a red one…) but enjoy your beer.
