Employees think it is act dumb and like to deny claims of racism that literally took place 5 feet from them.
Went to get some protein for my dinner and had to deal with some old lady, who is employee, going off on an racist rant to her fellow worker.
"We dont patrol our borders enough"
*Karen sees dark skinned mexican that over heard her*
*seals her lips*
When I brought this up to my cashier he brushed it off and gave some lame excuse about some product that they call border something.
Good Ol Oregon for you.

Everything about this store is amazing down to the music they play. Such a relaxing shopping experience, despite being busy. Their cafeteria pizza is sooo good too. Can't wait til we get one where I live.

Whole Foods, more than just groceries. On Sunday, August 18, 2024, the employees of the produce department responded admirably to support my daughter with urgently needed packing materials. A June graduate from Univ. of Oregon, our daughter was in dire need of materials essential for moving. The produce people from Whole Foods truly provided a HUGE HELPING HAND! Our sincere gratitude and appreciation, as parents, go out to the very attentive produce folks of Whole Foods Market, Eugene, OR.

Best prices in town, especially their produce and bulk. They have discounted their distressed produce, and I’ve been treating myself to the affordable avocados! Amazing family, working hard to develop their store and keep their community satiated!

I like going to this Whole Foods store and I am always thoroughly impressed by the experience. The store is exceptionally clean, which makes shopping there a pleasure. The staff are helpful and attentive, readily available to assist with any questions. I am also impressed with how well-organized and well-stocked the store is, ensuring that I could easily find everything I needed. Overall, this Whole Foods store upholds a high standard of excellence, making it my go to grocery store.

Love shopping at this place, they've got everything you wouldn't expect to find at a smaller neighborhood store. Beef from Knee Deep and fresh bread from Red Hen are just a few of my local favs they've got here. Plus, Kombucha on tap for the win. Highly recommend!

This store is like peanut butter to jelly. You need epsom salt? They got it. You need to pace around the fridges to choose one of the thousands of beer choices they have? Bring your walking shoes. Want a sweet treat? Baklava. You ever walked past a bakery and thought “I want bread” well seek no further. They have fresh bread right from locals. I swear they have everything from you name it. What’s better? It’s family owned. You get great service while getting all the essentials. This is the spot in Eugene, OR. I will die for this store, you should too. We love Anita and Vivek. 10/10

I had driven all over Eugene and Springfield looking for black salt. When I got to New Frontier, they were out of stock - but the owners sold me some of their own personal supply that they use for their food truck out front! Wonderful, warm, kind people run this grocery store and for sure it's my new go-to place to shop for rare spices!

Seriously, it's the best market ever!! They have whole foods and delicious Indian spices. They have a great selection of herbs! They support farms, and it's such a great atmosphere. Their whole family has an Indian food cart on the side of the market where they make your food extremely fresh. So so yummy. Support your small, locally owned business and farms!

Such a fun store! Everything you could ever need, at the best price. Fresh food and large selection, everything is authentic! Like a health food store, co-op fusion. I always stop by whenever I’m in the neighborhood and never disappointed. Make sure to buy some Indian food from Anita at the food cart outside. BEST in town. Overall a 15/10 experience!

Great store. Incredible selection of bulk foods. Easy parking, friendly staff. Salad bar was pretty sad, mostly empty with ragged & brown lettuce for salad base, no spring mix at all. It was evening but there are still people who want salad.

These guys have the BEST cookie bar! Oh how I love their cookies. Now as far as the rest of the place goes well if you can afford to shop there then good for you! But me, well I will stick with the expensive cookies but skip the rest. Thanks!

Quality produce, great bulk items, decent wine selection. But the bakery is definitely subpar. You would have a special store if you would get someone to hold the bakery to the same standards as the rest of the store.

The women who rang us up was very unkind at register #5. She scoffed and rolled her eyes at my partner and I. Because I didn’t hand her the “closed” sign fast enough. I think she had a bad attitude because she was mad she had to open or something? Im not sure. But take a nap god damn! Seems like the demographic that shops here is odd stuck up fake hippie crunchy people. And rude old people. Most of the customers had the exact same attitude as the cashier.

I actually love the store but there are a few problems that I've even told employees there about instill months and years later the same things are happening
First of all they have a completely unsanitary practice of putting little scoop cups next to the jars in bulk
Including the very bottom row that's by peoples feet, so the scoops are laying there upside down on the shelf
And they don't clean the shelves!
The other market of choice stores don't do this ridiculous thing.
I don't know what the person running the bulk section at this store is thinking but they are wrong and they need to start doing this
I don't buy my bugs but he says or teas here because Of this unsanitary ridiculous practice
its GROSS
And another thing I've noticed is there is a raw food desert they have had 4 many months, Oh and it doesn't have an expiration date even though it is perishable and in the refrigerated section
It's a very expensive item and it needs to have an expiration date; I was told the bakery should've put an expiration date on it by an employee, I told the bakery, two separate occasions that it didn't have expiration date on it
I think the product is called mom's, but it's a raw food desert and it's not hard to find since there are very few
Lastly, put prices on your things!
many of the treats on the little island next to the bakery counter Have no process, they haven't had prices for at least a year that I know of and they just never put prices on them
Do you assume that only rich people can buy them so nobody needs to know the price anyway?
Because that would be incorrect, sometimes people who aren't rich want to treat themselves but have a limit, so they need to know the price

Great selection of you guessed it, whole foods. Excellent organic selection and plenty of choices. The amazon returns counter makes returning goods extremely simple. If amazon gives the option, you don't need a box or return label. Just generate the QR code and show it to the counter attendant, scan, and be on your way. Prices are higher, but so it's the quality of food, so it's worth it in my book. I wish they were open an hour later due to my work schedule, but being the area of town that it's located, I understand.

Always our first stop for produce, when we can't make it to farmer's market. Good prices in general, but their produce is almost always better quality and better pricing than our other store options (Albertsons/Safeway/MOC), by a wide margin. They seem to treat their staff well too, and I appreciate the way they offer boxes for groceries instead of paper bags. While I wish they would get back to stocking their spices more regularly, they are still our go to for most things.

I actually love the store itself: bright, wide lanes, good products. I just don't have the time to shop there anymore. They don't have an efficient system for checking out. It can take over ten minutes to get through a line and finish a transaction. If you're not in a rush and you won't get triggered waiting in lines that are poorly managed, I highly recommend this store, but if you're on your lunch break or pressed for time, don't count on getting in and getting out in a reasonable amount of time.

Ever wondered why employees seem unpleasant or don't know where things are, and check out lines are unreasonably slow? Maybe the section you're in has no employees available? That's because every single employee is supposed to work multiple positions on a flexi-shift(Open and Closing, Cashier and running the entire Vitamin department, etc). With a 47% turnover every 4 months, and a Store Manger that can't handle common task and takes constant vactions, combined with employee exaughstion, there's no way they can properly serve customers. Mind you they have a lower employee rating than Walmart, Fred Meyers or ANY chain grocery store. If you care about employee or customer treatment, shop elsewhere.

Great health food store with some really good prices. I look for one wherever I go. I did take on star off because it seems to be a common practice for cashiers open new checkouts to take customers by first and fasted to get to them, and forget or just don’t go get the customers already waiting. Hopefully they improve on this ableist practice, but otherwise no complaints.

Fully stocked neighborhood market with a wide selection of groceries as well as a large selection of beer, wine, and soft drinks.

We stopped in for the first time for the Amazon return counter and ended up with my arms full of fresh fruits and vegis.
The produce quality is outstanding and so fresh. This location is clean and well organized.

Better than Whole Foods, this is THE place to shop for high quality organic groceries, Beer and Wine, and all sorts of ready to eat foods. The coffee shop inside was also excellent and friendly. If parking is full there's a large overflow lot behind the store.

I really enjoyed visiting this market. Nicely decorated, friendly atmosphere. I recommend it.

A great Neighborhood Market. Indian owned and a little Indiancentric. This is all to the good. Tight store full up with product. One, who is you, can find almost everything one (you) could be shopping for in foodstuffs. Vegetarian. Meatatarian. Somewhere in-between. They probably have it here
Nice folk, too. Please to offer your custom to this long serving community store.

Very pleasant aroma and atmosphere. Too tier employees Takes me back to the gourmet kitchen on the island. Bananas & Apple's. ✌🏼💚🌱🌎🌕☀️☄️🌌🤙🏼

Grocery heaven, I feel like I've been missing out my whole life. Up until now, I thought that Whole Foods was peak grocery, and maybe it was on the East Coast where I'm from. But this is on a whole different level. Choice is right -- the selection is massive, you get pretty much everything from your regular boxed grocery items (which is a nice touch, it's as if Whole Foods was 'too good' for those), all the way to boutique organic items. The bulk section is incredible, they've got stuff you'd only ever expect in a specialized herbal shop. There's a lot of great local foods, gelato, they have a bakery, deli, butcher, pretty much everything food related under the sun. Last but not least, it is spotless, in excellent condition, well organized, and well decorated. This store unironically raised the bar for what I thought was possible in a grocery.

Visiting from California, we're no strangers to Whole Foods, but the Eugene, Oregon location truly stood out. The store was impeccably organized, offering a vast selection of quality products we've come to expect from the brand. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, making our shopping experience even more delightful. It's evident that this location maintains the high standards of Whole Foods, and it's easily on par with, if not better than, many we've visited back home. Kudos to the Eugene team for running such a top-notch store! Highly recommended for both locals and visitors alike.

The food cart in front of the market is an absolute gem. My coworker put me on to them, and as my introduction to Indian food, I can't get enough. The owner is such a lovely woman that makes you feel at home, and you can taste it in the food. I can not recommend them enough, Google only lets me use 5 stars.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

May be a bit on the pricey side (hence only 4 stars) but I'll tell you what... all of their goods are of superior quality and they definitely deserve a look-see. You be the judge.

Expensive, especially Barista Bean Lab, hosted inside. Good availability of discount produce.
There needs to be clear signage where the employee break tables are. There are some unlabeled picnic tables in a field. I was showing my counselor the manuscript of my graphic novel in that field because there was no indication whatsoever that it was a private area. A staff member proceeded to harass us in what seemed like a "nice" way, but was actually extremely passive and overkill, lasting several minutes and repeating herself as we were clearly packing up our things.
I don't think I will ever go back to Friendly Street Market, due to the actual nature of how rude this interaction was.

Good place to shop with lots of diversity. I took one star away for two reasons.
1) Because they offer a diverse variety of new products in their supplements section and Body Care section, but at the same time, if you find one you like, they will not necessarily continue to sell it because they rotate products so often.
2)Their Deli area offers sandwiches made to order. The gluten-free bread is small in size and straight up tastes bad!
I hope they switch to a different type of gluten-free bread soon. The inside contense on the sandwich was tasty and good.
They have an excellent selection of fresh produce and once in a while have good sales. Their hot soup selection rotates daily and they have a good variety for those who are vegan, vegetarian, or have gluten allergies, etc. Their salad bar is wonderful and has a large diversity of items.

If you live in the South side of Eugene, there's a couple of choices of grocery stores .... Market of Choice is one of them. It's definitely higher priced than the chain grocery stores, but has a bit larger selection. They have a nice deli and meat section. They also have a very large wine and beer section. Staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is okay, but you will walk outta there, spending twice as much as Safeway or Albertsons.

This market of choice is definitely my favourite in Eugene by far. They have great parking, and are in a great location next to a whole bunch of other great outlets. This location in particular has one of the best Delis, they have lots of great options made in house, especially gluten free options . They also have a really great bakery that has very tasty gelato. The staff here is always super helpful and Works really well with problems, we were stuck in line for a really long time and a employee helped us out and sped it up which was awesome because we were in hurry. Only problem is that they are always out of gold peak sweet tea.

M072224: UPDATE: I'm finally deducting 1 star due to the herbs bulk section months and months long many multiple empty items and scarcity. This has been going on for just too ridiculously long. Perhaps another supplier would be the answer? Or maybe it comes down to Corporate allowing the managers to better administrate their departments. Seriously, W.T.H.
4 YRS AGO: I'm a regular at this Natural Grocers in Eugene. I usually shop twice a week, early am, but occasionally afternoons too. Without fail, in my years shopping here, I have never had a bad experience. The employees go out of their way to help, are kind and generous with information and assistance. Whenever the checkout line gets more than 2 deep, a cashier calls for other cashiers to respond. The only time I've ever witnessed a hectic store would be on a day they have a special occasion celebration, then the store can get busy. I have met shy employees but never anyone rude. On the contrary, everyone is always so nice. If I don't go in with a smile, I always leave with one. I LOVE my Nat Grocers!

I had a great time at the weekly summer barbeque. Everything I had was delicious. I highly recommend trying a deviled eggs if they have them. They had live music and really friendly patrons This is a very unique grocery store.

Friendly place as the name suggest and has a cozy feel like a soft, warm blanket. Very laid back and relaxed vibe that makes you want to come back.

Love this place. Great deli food and excellent vegan muffins. I had the fritata and will go back just for that. The market selection is good, the produce fresh.
But the best part? The best part is the outstanding customer service and friendly non judgemental atmosphere.
The outdoor seating area has an enclosure that is heated, which is perfect for our winters.
Try some of the local produce. It really does taste better. Oh, and you have to get a chai tea.
