Food was alright, it wasn’t anything special! There is no sign that says cash only and the waiter tried to over charge by saying they had a menu change on the system but new paper menu hasn’t come yet!

It's been a long time since we ate at this restaurant and I must say, its even better than I last remembered! They have expanded the size of the restaurant and create an much more up market look. The food quality remains high and the prices are reasonable for the area and are what you'd expect to spend on a decent plate of food. All in all, highly recommended!
Since They don't have any signs of "CASH ONLY" from the beginning, so imagine in the cold rain night after the meat and you're informed to pay bills by CASH and they don't accept any card, then the manager stony-hearted tell you to go out and withdrawal cash at the ATM. Food was good not special but the portion was big. Drinks, seems they brought from somewhere else, we ordered 1 non-alcohol and 1 cocktail, they came out exactly the same : non-alcohol! At the end, I think they don't care about selling food, drink nor service, their business maybe something else.
An Extremely busy popular restaurant in North West London supported well by locals. At times you have to wait to be seated. The establishment provides an excellent eat in service as well as take away staying open into the early hours.

Our early evening pre-theatre meal was excellent. The restaurant hadn't really got going for the evening so it wasn't as buzzing as usual and service was quite relaxed. Food was good value.

Spent a lovely evening here made even more enjoyable by our server, Dorian. Dorian was lovely and had great recommendations for wine and food, which meant our meal was a memorable experience. We spent some time here and had three courses and did not feel rushed despite the popularity of the restaurant.
As a vegetarian, I was happy with the vegetarian options - The moussaka was full of flavour and I will be returning for more!

Friendly professional staff, starting from welcoming at the door till the end of the service. We went for the mix appetizers for two for £25 hummus , babganoush , bulgur,tazykie and two other dish. Each of the was delicious with hot bread from the over. A mix grill for two £69 with salad and pomegranate malaises, rice and bulgur. Meet cooked to perfection and my favorite was the lamb chops. We finished with a complementary Turkish tea with pistachio baklava topped with pistachio ice cream and it was wonderful !!! Throughly enjoyed the experience

Was a very busy restaurant. We booked in advance for our family. Food was good and plenty. The only down side is the state of the washrooms.
As you enter, there's good signage that you can bring your own booze but not one that says "we're cash only"...this caught out many diners during our visit, including us.
Many a table had to go marching off to the local cash-point.

Excellent meat, amazing bbq and beautiful environment. Have been coming here for the last 20 years plus. It used to be a small place, open till very late - now, it’s a huge successful family business. Hard work, passion and good cooking pays off! Well done. 10/10 every time!🔥

You’ll find it hard to get better Turkish food in Mayfair. Very accommodating team and food is cooked to perfection. If you enjoy meats you are definitely in for a treat although they do have vegetarian options too. Definitely check this place out if you are in Mayfair. PS - the Efes beer is very refreshing.

Wandering the Soho streets on our last afternoon we spied the wide open window & happy guests. Curious, we took a quick peak at a menu decided to be adventurous. So glad we did.
Yeni is the inspiration of chef-owner Civan Er showcasing modern Turkish cuisine using open fire cooking & the finest ingredients. The menu is designed for sharing & that is exactly how we like it so we chose dishes that were not familiar but intriguing. Every single dish was delicious, the flavours complex & unusual & as we thought a dish couldn’t get better than the previous … it did!
Tava bread two ways - spicy carrot and walnut tarator (think tahini) & 2nd with smoked butter. Mad skills in making something as simple as smoked butter so delicious you want to smear it all over is something …
Mammole artichoke, fava beans, chili, coriander, mint, sesame - such a perfect way to serve artichoke and the spread was so fresh. Eating it with full leaves of mint was perfect.
Orkney Scallops, spicy almond muhammara, salty fingers, burnt butter. Scallops fired perfectly & a wonderful spread somewhat like hummus & the cutest little green fingers also called sea jellybeans!!
Yeni Manti dried aubergine, double fermented yoghurt - this was the most beautiful dish I’ve ever had put in front of me & the flavours were so perfectly balanced making for a rich, but not too rich sauce & the perfect Turkish eggplant dumplings.
Nigel enjoyed a green apple ginger tonic & east London gin & I had a lovely Turkish rosé.
Later we discovered that Yeni is in the Michelin Guide!

Yummy food, such a delightful local vibe! The food here is incredibly fresh and served with lightning speed. If you're craving a scrumptious Turkish meal, you've found your spot. Trust me, the value for money is totally worth it!
Some rolls and an adana . 4 persons dinner on a bill of 66 GBP ... expensive ..but hey ... What annoyed me the most about this place however was a "service tax" of 8,8 GBP !!! That is daylight robbery ... Oh yeah and if you order the side dish of grilled tomatoes and peppers, you get exactly 1 slice of grilled tomato and 1 grilled pepper. Again , I do not know these people , but for sure, life must be financially hard on them ... The waitress was friendly but a serious lack of manners ... Cleaning the table whil still 1 person in our company was eating ... Tssss I am sure there are better Turkish places in London .
Everytime when I visit London, the best kebab in oldstreet is the place one of the reason why I go to London. Best kebab in the world. All homemade,people are friendly.
This restaurant was my favorite restaurant during my 2 week trip to London, Venice and Italy. This exceeded my expectations. This is a Turkish Middle eastern restaurant in the Shepard market in London. We happened to be walking around this area as our hotel the Mayfair was right by it. The flavors were absolutely perfect! The right amount of salt, spices and warmth. I was super impressed. It was a very satisfying meal. The service was great. They were very attentive with water, drinks and clearing our plates. The gentlemen was very kind to suggest what I would like and he was spot on. I absolutely love this place. I highly recommend if you like savory dishes with flavor. The pictures of the food don’t do it justice as it literally one of the most satisfying meals I’ve ever had.
Beautiful atmosphere and lovely customer service. Some restaurants don't really acknowledge birthdays even when you put it in the notes section, but Kibele did and made my friend's birthday very special. Rashid was our waiter and he was very friendly and accommodating. Would defo come again!
The aubergine Manti are worth the trip alone, you will not find anything like it elsewhere (tried looking for similar online recipes and it does not exist)-truly one of a kind dish. Everything else was great as well. Great vegetarian options. We also tried the carrot tarator, braised beetroot and bulgur fritters salad. Not a beetroot fan but this dish was good. Bulgar fritters were not what I expected (it's more of a tabbouleh salad with bulgar fritter croutons) but still good.
Best meal I've had in a long time. Great portions, fabulous taste and pleasant staff. The chocolate souffle was amazing.

This restaurant in Shepherds Market, Mayfair London was a delight. The food was so good we had dinner there for three nights! Everything is fresh, so well seasoned, and delicious. It is fun to sit outside and people watch as there are several restaurants and pubs opening on a small cul de sac. But even more fun is watching the chef wielding the kabobs and pita on the grill. It is small but ask for a table and they will find you one.
Ordered plenty times from here as so close and open late and hoping for a good change each time but Chips always hard fries not fresh and When you order burger there is no communication with you and they fill the burger with ketchup without even asking ,I would rather no sauce so I can put my own or put sauces into pots it’s 3rd time ketchup is poured on my food that’s barely edible ,always given chance to this place and always disappointed
Been coming here for years, the food is top notch, service is impeccable and the atmosphere is superb! They serve bread, yoghurt and salad before every meal which is so delicious, I forget about the main! 😋

I received old stale bread and also bites on 2 slices, burnt fish, ayran diluted with water.

Absolutely amazing, food was brilliant staff excellent, quiet inside when we were in upstairs but it was lovely.. Reminded me of our many times in Turkey many year's ago
I came here for lunch yesterday with my parents, husband and 3 children, and it was absolutely fantastic! I've come here a few times now and the food is consistently delicious and always spot on! Everything is full of so much flavour and cooked very very well. I genuinely think this popular cuisine is priced perfectly here too as there are too many well overpriced restaurants who offer a similar selection of menu. The service is professional, friendly and welcoming. The staff are becoming familiar with us as a family so, it does make you feel valued when you're remembered! They're super accommodating to kids too, especially when ours love the "Lollipops" at the front (turkish delights on sticks 😀)

We were looking for a place to sit and eat with my family and we were so lucky to find this place. The food was tasty and the service excellent. Very clean and tidy and relaxing atmosphere. The bathrooms are so clean that I felt I was home. I would highly recommend this place! I would give 10 starts if it was possible.
We had injoying with the atmosphere, baba ganush (mutable) was perfect, islim kebab was soo delicious , friendly waitress at the end they give tea as compliments,,
Dined here with mixed feelings. The location on George Lane was close to the South Woodford tube. The smell of the grill was oh so inviting. Staff were friendly. We ordered the lamb and a chicken burger. The lamb was fantastic, so juicy and cooked with the right amount of char. Bread was warm, fluffy and complimented the meat with its tzatziki spread. Unfortunately the chicken burger was an extreme let down. Fried processed chicken patty on a stale bun. Given the type of restaurant, I expected maybe a grilled chicken breast.

Given the current cost of living crisis, the business has done well to keep things affordable and retain a good amount of staffing to keep services strong. Keep it up!

The perfect place for a Pre-Theatre meal and authentic Turkish cuisine! Be sure to arrive before 18:30 to try this special menu (£22). Choice of starters and mains and the dessert is a medley of Kazan’s best deserts. Super value, cosy deco and friendly staff.

The spiced lamb with the sauce was amazing. The halloumi and sausage were cooked nicely. This definitely tasted a step up from your local takeaway. Service was pretty quick but it wasn't too busy at midday. I hear they have dance performances downstairs on some evenings. Something to take into consideration if you are into that type of stuff😉

We were staying in the area and went off other Google reviews. The outside and interior were a little underwhelming, but don't let that put you off.
The menu had a good mix of dishes, and included a vegetarian section. Service was great, friendly and efficient.
The food was really enjoyable, with great flavors and textures. Portion sizes are fairly generous, especially for some of the main dishes.

Yet another nice place in this area to hang around. For a change, it is Turkish and a good quality one. It is crowded generally after 7 pm and they do have Turkish beer as well. Quality of the food is good. Generous quantity and usage of ingredients. Asparagus salad was lovely. Had a chicken main course (don't remember the name) which tasted nice as well. Decently priced. Value for money.

Just eaten here with my daughter,,Bright clean relaxed atmosphere, service and staff polite professional friendly (but not overly)Food Delicious,shared a mixed kebab meal as too much for one person (we felt) it was a huge platefull..,drinks ,free rice pudding (bonus)all for £16.00.
If you are thinking of having a wedding or any kind of celebration, there is no better place in central London. Monika and the team were extremely accommodating before the day and the service was perfection on the day. Ali, Mohammed and Oslam ensured that all the guests were looked after and nothing was missing. The food is amazing and all the guests loved the meze starters. Thank you so much to everyone at Ishtar for making the day and evening even more special!

Great food in an even bigger portion, and very affordable.
I’m a big lover of Turkish dishes and small plates in general, so I wasn’t surprised by how much I enjoyed this meal. The plating was beautiful and each dish was full of flavour and texture. The Bulgur fritters and grape herb salad was a highlight, as were the aubergine manti.
The service was great, the food delicious and the ambiance was inviting.
I am amazed with the quality and taste of food at this Turkish restaurant. The ambiance is just incredible and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I am definitely visiting again and highly recommend this place for some nice Turkish cuisine. I have tried the vegetarian Musakka, lamb iskandar and Lamb shish as well as the fish and chips dish for my 6 year-old niece. Every dish was a success!

This place is great for Turkish food, high quality food very flavoursome and mouth watering. Big fan of Turkish food so would definitely recommend this spot. The place looks great too very vibrant pay the extra a book a table downstairs were they have live entertainment singers, music, dancers etc literally turns into a club lol. Great place defo will be back.

I have had such a great experience at Sofra. The staff were so welcoming and patient with us, but also very attentive. I requested some changes with one of the meals, and they changed it accordingly without problems. The chef is also amazing, the food tasted great and although I unable to finish the meal, the staff were so sweet to pack it so I could take it away with me.

The service was poor - kept forgetting things, also weren’t especially welcoming, made it seem like they didn’t need our business, no smiles or friendliness - hoping we just caught them on an off day and that it’s not always like this. Portions were fairly small when compared with other establishments. Feel like there is a LOT on the menu (perhaps too much?!)
Beautifully decorated restaurant with really delicious food. Open kitchen is very good to see how professionally chefs are working on our orders. Service is satisfactory but not the best as they work a bit slowly and takes time to get waitresses' attention. I would say that service charge is a bit costly for such a service.

Had a fantastic meal here. The family platter advertised for 2-3 people, could easily feed 5. Food was delicious and service was quick and friendly. Only let down is a previous guest decided to leave the loos in a less than to be desired condition (we reported it so hope people after us had a more pleasant experience!). Not taking a mark off on this occasion because everything else was so good.

Very good food and service with a solid price tag. £60+ per person w/o alcohol for a very pleasant lunch. Probably more of a date venue than a casual lunch venue although the tasting menu was excellent
The staff is amazing, waiting time for the food is 5-10 min, food tastes good and nice portions, the restaurant is very nice inside. Per person = £43 + £6 service charge ( starter,main dish + salad, dessert + 2 drinks) I think if you want to spend a nice evening in London this is the mininum you should spend. Seriously some of the best food I’ve eaten. Like. Ever. We did the Ottoman Feast and it was insane! Every dish was superb and the service was incredible. Easily one of the top 5 restaurants I’ve eaten at during my years of traveling.
The food was great and beautifully cooked. The atmosphere could have been better as they only decided to put some music after a while. The service was poor, waitresses seemed uninterested in the customers and had to keep calling them every time I needed to order something else. Been in better restaurants of the same kind. Forgot to mention in original review, the toilets were probably the worst and most dirty ones I've ever been in a restaurant.

Its "Up West" so expect to pay for the experience! Have been a few times over the years and can't really knock it! Would recommend a visit, not highly but would still recommend a visit! 🎯💯

A nice cosy restaurant with friendly staff and delicious foods in Baker Street. There is a bar floor downstairs with plenty of drinks.
I liked lamb shish, the meat was so tender and tasty. The mezzes also were so delicious and rich.
The prices are slighlty high comparing to a kebap house but it is always full, service and atmosphere are fantastic.

My visit to Sofra Turkish restaurant had its highlights, with flavorful food, but I was somewhat disappointed by the atmosphere and the limited menu. While the dishes I tried were enjoyable, I wished they offered a more authentic ambiance and a broader selection of traditional Turkish foods like manti and lahmacun to provide a fuller Turkish culinary experience.
Absolutely amazing food. I loved and enjoyed every bit of it. The staff are so friendly , we had a couple laughs and jokes. If you come here I recommend the adana wrap! Full of flavour
Delightful lunch meal at Yeni. We had the artichokes with fava beans, smoked grilled aubergine, prawn and vine leaves tempura, Yeni manti dumplings with beef, scallops and lamb shoulder with samphire and chilli. The highlight of the meal were the dumplings, the fermented yoghurt sauce was divine, followed by the scallops perfectly cooked and lamb shoulder, very tender.
The service was friendly and generally attentive. The restaurant itself was spacious and welcoming. Really enjoyed our meal here and would definitely come back to try new items on the menu in the future. The restaurant does require a credit card to secure the booking, but they don't add service charge to the bill automatically. A gem of a place to have a meal.

Professional, polite, and efficient staff. Very beautiful atmosphere, classy and stylish design. Food portions are very generous, and food is absolutely delicious! My favourite was baklava dessert with ice cream - banging! Highly recommended!

Excellent Halal place for a nice meal out. A very nice atmosphere restaurant serving great tasting food. Do note that they do serve alcohol. We ordered the equivalent chicken shish dish with a mixed grill option, which was a great all-around taster of their offerings. It was all very tasy and enjoyable but an honourable mention has to go to their lamb meat/shish which was amazing taste, succulent with juices and flavours! If they did steaks, i could imagine that being an amazing experience. Bread with hummus and olives given complementary after ordering. The place is clean, and the staff are well dressed and attentative. All things considered, it is a little pricier than i would have expected but nevertheless a great place and would recommend. Note: For anyone with mobility issues, their toilets are downstairs in basement level.
Food was really nice. The chicken was very tasty and the cheese borek was also really good. We were served and out in about 35 minutes though and the staff kind of stand and watch you which was a bit off putting. It wasn’t too busy so maybe if it was busy that wouldn’t happen

However, the food is okay but service was erratic and unattentive. From what I observed, the service was more attentive to non Asian customers. An example, I ordered a drink and was given the can but another table ordered a drink and they were also given a glass and straw.

Went for dinner with friends - we shared the meze platter - which was delicious and freshly made. We got warm complimentary bread that went perfectly with it. The stuffed green parcels were very tasty. Drinks also well made. Try the silk route! For main I can vouch for the scallops. We left feeling really good. Only thing worth mentioning is the service charge which was more than normal. But definitely a place to visit again.

Brilliant quality Turkish food in Reading and definitely worth a visit. Authentic Turkish restaurant. High quality of food. Nice decor, very clean. Staff very welcoming and polite. Spacious and Modern. Prices are reasonable.
Been to this place for the first time, food was excellent, decent pricing, friendly customer service, food was served very quick within 10-15 mins, shop decor styling looked nice. Highly recommended and I would definitely go there again. Another great Turkish restaurant for those who love Turkish food.
See a picture attached of probably the worst Uber Eats delivery I have ever received. I don't really care who is at fault, the driver or restaurant. Either way, a service should be good from top to bottom. This order suggests that the restaurant and / or Uber Eats don't care at all about service.

I have bought a large chicken wrap. Only good thing about the wrap was its portion. Other than that, it was so salty and I felt like I was chewing cardboard that was left in the rain. I definitely regret paying £10 for such a bad tasting food. I will never go there for food again and do not recommend to anyone.
I've been twice to this place and would definitely come back. The service is superb. The waiters are very attentive and polite, making you feel welcomed with their smiles. Food arrives quickly and full of flavours from the grill. Everything we had was delicious. I was hesitant to order the calamari rings, given the fact that is mostly meat focused, but was pleasantly surprised. Portions are quite generous so overall a great value for your money.
Very tasty food. I enjoyed Chicken liver appetisers. Very good customer service. I’d give 5 stars. Although I’m allergic to sesame and I notified the server. When I picked dish I asked if there’s any sesame. Gentlemen said it has none. Unfortunately it had sesame. It wasn’t pleasant surprise. Overall good restaurant.

FANTASTIC!! Dinner was SO GOOD! We had the mezze for 2, dolma, veggie skewer with rice, and Lamb shish and it's the best food I've eaten in forever. Ten stars!! Dinner and a show watching the staff and owner bust their butts. Don't miss this awesome meal!

I order completely different thing than I received. I called upper driver he told me is not his problem and that he is driving and can’t talk he told me to call restaurant and he hang up. So I called the restaurant and they told me they can’t do anything if the driver mixed up the orders…. Unbelievable….. ! Total unprofessionals! I’m paying money for that! Really really bad service ! Never ordering from that place or Uber eats ever again !
Visited this place, the food was soggy, all the tables were dirty, and food was cold. Prices were too expensive for what they offered and gave. Most important thing was that they don’t take any card payment, cash only, which is dodgy. Don’t recommend to anyone.
This place use to be good but it’s gone downhill. I went today after long time and they standard is gone down. Went to eat in and no one to serve you they have stop waiters service. We order the food and set upstairs the chef bought the food. The bread was cold and the meat doner was cold too. When I complain to him he said it ok 🙄. My conclusion : Terrible service and terrible food. Won’t go again.
That was the first restaurant in London that I am 100% satisfied. I ordered mix kebab with iced tea. They served me with extra free salad and yogurt. I should say that the taste of foods was perfect. They were cooked masterly. The hospitality of staff was perfect and I also love the background music.
Update: In one word the falafel wrap is exceptional and the kebab made me weak at the knees. Phenomenal establishment, well priced and tasy af. 10 on 10.

We always come back to this restaurant as their food is amazing and fresh, their care for customer service is the best iv seen and they put a lot of effort into the way they present their food. Our pictures explain it all!
Recently i've been put off buying from takeaways as the quality is usually not great. However Leziz express is well worth a visit, the staff at this small branch of Leziz charcoal grill are fantastic and customer service I experienced was excellent. Food is good and prices are very reasonable. The salads are nice too and the place is clean. Keep up the good work!
