The Rye Y is a wonderful place full of helpful staff. Always a positive and supportive environment. Countless options for young and old to workout and be part of their community.

Nice facility. Clean, well equipped and lovely staff.
Only downside is some members using the sauna fully clothed (inc sports shoes) which is pretty unhygienic. I’ve also seen people eating beef jerky in there.

The Rye Y should get five stars for its facilities, convenience and pricing. It's a great value.
I give it three because they advertise private swimming lessons but scheduling one is impossible. Emails, phone calls and online request forms all go unanswered. Front desk inquiries result in promised phone calls that never materialize.
Big waste of time and utterly frustrating. If there's a process, it's a mystery and completely broken. They shouldn't advertise something that they can't deliver on.
But the pool is nice, you can always get a lane at the times I go, the gym is excellent, and the sauna is exceptional. I love this place. Just don't take them up on their offer of private lessons.

I mainly use the fitness room and many people don't put the weights away making for a frustrating experience.
Since the staff doesn't address the issue, it perpetuates with regular members not wanting to be the only ones putting their weights away and new members adopting the bad habits they see. It's sad.

Love this place! All of the staff that I worked with were friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating and patient helping me change around classes for my three children to fit everyones schedules when one of their classes was discontinued. I've also really benefitted from the child watch services at the studios and found the staff there equally as kind and helpful. I wish I'd joined sooner! FYI, some of the classes listed at "Pilates" are really more like "bums and tums" or "buns of steel" classes; nothing like the traditional Pilates classes that I've taken elsewhere. You will not be doing traditional Pilates exercises that focus on posture and slow deliberate moves (at least in some of the classes).

I am so grateful for the YMCA’s ELC program and cannot recommend it enough. The teachers are so caring and thoughtful and the progression my now 26 month old made over the past 5 months is outstanding! This was my first experience with any sort of daycare/ nursery school and I am so glad we found the Y. Thank you for making this transition so easy.

My husband and I had a very ugly experience today with a woman at the front desk( I believe her name was Janine) who was not only rude but not in the least bit accommodating to our son who has a disability. I ended up telling her that she was discriminating against a 5 year old with special needs which is absolutely unacceptable for an organization that "claims" to be accessible to all. Despite that claim, we have found the handicap parking roped off on more than one occasion and not a single chair in the lobby on another weekend. You need to do better Rye YMCA.

Amazing kind staff, great pickleball, so much to do. They offer programs for everyone. Exceptional for families, child care and high quality facilities. A worthy cause to donate to as they offer financial aid to anyone in need.
