Popped in mid afternoon for a couple of drinks. A lovely old bank building now a most comfortable bar to enjoy a social. We didn't eat but my Guinness and the girls Pinot Grigio blush went down well and the service from staff was friendly and welcoming so whether you're a local or visitor highly recommend.
OMG had the most amazing belated mother day today with my mum, mum in-law and sister in-law. Mazz was the best host he couldn't do enough for us and the Liv music that started after 3 was a lovely extra. The food was lovely and plenty of prosecco.
As first time visitors of the lovely city called Liverpool we hadn’t the foggiest idea of where we’d go for breakfast. Walked around the city hungry, no phone service at the time to find a decent place we stumbled upon Castle St Townhouse thinking “This place will be as good as any.” only to find out it was better than any. From the good food to the lovely and friendly people serving us. Everything was absolutely top notch. Immediately asking us if we’re alright and if we have any allergies was a massive plus for us and made us feel very welcome. We’re not the biggest fans of breakfast but I do love me some typical English breakfast (eggs, bacon, beans, sausages and all that) and this was probably the best food we had during our whole stay in Liverpool. The apple juice we ordered was very fresh and definitely the best I’ve ever had. Keep doing what you’re doing. Next time we’re in Liverpool there will be no if, buts or maybe’s about where we eat. We’ll run straight to you!
Went with friends for bottomless brunch. This was my first time at Castle St Townhouse, had boss time . Food was nice and prosecco fresh. Would recommend this place.

Booked afternoon tea for mother's day what can I say was very disappointing was so looking forward to it only to recieve very poor quality food, something you could pick up in asda. No sandwiches. Had to pay an extra £12 for chips just to add some savoury to the table. Had to keep asking staff for things that were missing such as jam for scones. Everything was mini sizes. £32 for a bottle of prosseco. £37 each for 6 people to have a really rubbish afternoon tea. I would never ever book again. We ended up having to get a meal somewhere else as we left starving! Would not recommend.

Hope St Moose Coffee is always great. Like the other Moose Coffee locations, the food and drinks are great (and you never leave hungry!!) But for me the Hope St atmosphere and staff are fantastic. Just wish we lived closer so we could go more frequently!!
Dropped in for a capuccino and was nice. Fast served too. Friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. Good price although being in the town center next to the city central train station. Will come back to try the menu. The minus star is for the only unisex toilet available that wasn't very clean.
We were staying in a hotel on the same street and decided to pop in for lunch on our last day in Liverpool. Once we got there we were told that breakfast was on till 1pm, lunch started at 1pm - which wasn’t what we wanted but we decided to stay for breakfast as we had a train to catch. The decor was nice, the place was clean. The customer service started good, we got seated quickly and our order was taken quickly too. It wasn’t very busy, I’d say 4 tables were occupied by small groups. Once we got our food, we had to ask for missing cutlery, nobody came back to ask how our food was, nobody came back to take another drinks order. Most of the staff were at the back of the restaurant chatting. I ordered the eggs florentine but it was missing the eggs. Not sure how that’s possible but once I managed to get hold of someone, they just served me eggs on the side. Not ideal as that’s not what i ordered and as my bf started eating, I had to wait to find out what was going on. Out of curiosity, I asked (politely) what happened and all I got was ‘I don’t know, the chef was confused’. They tried to charge us £55 for a disaster meal, ignored and to chase them around for a little service. The lady made me feel like a burden for asking and made me feel like it was my fault. It even got to the point where my bf had to go up to the desk and make payment even though we asked to pay several times. I can understand if it was busy, but it wasn’t and they had plenty of staff! I wouldn’t return, which is a shame because my bf enjoyed his breakfast.
Amazing food, gives of an American coffee shop vibe with a great selection of American and European breakfast items. The Belgian waffles were some of the best I've had in England, and I cannot wait to return.

Booked in for afternoon tea with my friend but when we arrived they said that they hadn’t received a booking even though I had an email confirmation. A little disappointed since we were really looking forward to it. Hopefully the system gets fixed so no one else experiences what we did. The guy was very apologetic and bless him it wasn’t his fault.
My favourite moose, food was on point and the service was lovely. Ambience at this moose coffee is perfect, spacious, and feels very relaxed. I had the Mano picante with the chorizo, absolutely delicious!
We only stopped in for a few afternoon drinks. Service was excellent - very friendly and helpful. Drinks were a little pricey but otherwise a pleasant time was had.
American approved! I went here for Thanksgiving since it’s American and Canadian and it was amazing. Atmosphere is so cozy and decor looks great. Food was so lovely and both me and my fiancé loved it. The servers were all very kind to us and since it was quiet when we went they even chatted a bit with us. Coffee is also great! Lovely little place!

Came in today for something to eat while waiting for my train from lime Street . I got the crispy chilli chicken baguette it was amazing drink was made and served quickly by the lovely girls working today thank you will definitely be coming back when I come to Liverpool 100% recommend to everyone
Brilliant as always. This is the place to eat in Liverpool. I love it and will only eat here. The lunch deal for £16 was amazing. Had lovely pickles and foul madamas. With an amazing shawarma platter. Superb
Egg Benedict was dry with stingy amount of Hollandaise (barely covered the egg). The brisket was so dry and stringy I nearly choked! Very disappointing as Moose Cafe in Manchester had always been amazing. I think the kitchen staff need more training, it's not the same level of care as other locations I have been to. Table next to me sent her sourdough with avocado back as it was freezing! The service was lovely however and the flat white was the best I had.

The spicy chick pea wrap was really tasty and had just the right amount of seasoning. Would recommend trying the fresh juices, too.
Started coming here recently and treated my mum to a tapas lunch on Monday. The tapas was excellent value for money and the staff in milo lounge are always really friendly. I am craving the plates so bad! Honey feta, buffalo wings and quesadillas. Can’t pick a favourite! Amazing!!!!

An amazing Friday night dinner on our first ever visit to Liverpool. The food choice was extensive. The staff were so attentive and friendly. This dinner started our visit on a high. Highly recommended
Food lovely, presentation fab. Only half of our group was able to attend and no fuss was made about that. Only issue was that we got forgotten about at the bar but good service recovery once it was flagged. Great night

Lovely place with some really welcoming and nice staff, with a great new menu! The food is lovely and well priced as well as nice drink selection and good coffee.

Quite a special place for breakfast. Stunning English breakfast with great granola parfait. The sandwich is great the coffee is amazing! This is the place to go to for brunch or breakfast. It’s located in a great street to walk on. The serving is quite big so you’ll be stuffed.
Love this place - so good for a healthy dinner, a quick easy bite after yoga or a gym class or just after a long day when you can't be bothered to cook for yourself. Lovely staff, affordable prices and quality tasty, healthy food - a regular for me. My son loves the burgers and fries, I love all the poke bowls and to be fair will happily eat anything off the menu. Must visit

Booked a bottomless brunch. Wow service was shocking. Had to find someone to say we arrived that took 10 mins. One server doing everything. He was lovely just doing so much and to add it wasn't busy either. Had to ask for a drink because we were left for 45 mins without one but couldn't find anyone (the one server) to ask. Food was ok just a toastie nothing special. Didn't get our monies worth at all. But disappointed as been before and it was great hence why we returned but wouldn't return again mainly because service was so poor.

What an amzing experience! Food was 10/10 and atmosphare the same. Service was great since there were not too many people on Monday evening. Everything we ordered was spot on, you know its delicious when you have a full belly, but still.. can not stop eating :)

Was able to accomodate 6 adults, a mobility scooter, a pram, a dog and a toddler! Superb food once again and the coffee was top notch. Definitely going to have to come back and have a malibu coffee!!! Definitely recommend

Being health conscious I had to find a dish that had low saturated fat (too many chicken wings and cheese of late!) and I narrowed my choice down to the Meze Salad or the Mexican Superbowl.
Mexican Superbowl won. Healthy, low calorie, filling and loads of flavours! Winner!
We also got the Lamb Flatbread and the kids Fish and Chips.
Feedback was the Lamb was delicious. Only negative comment was the Fish Fingers Batter was too crunchy however I tried the fish inside and its was really nice. I think this was just my son being awkward.

Went for lunch with my friends. Food can be ordered via app or at the bar. There is a massive sign at the entrabce yet not niticed it 😊 Food was of a good quality it was very busy so we had to ask again for coffe to be brought to the table. Atmosphere was good but not the best place for someone who is noise sensitive. Would definately come back.

Went to the Hanover Street Social, we had booked for 12.00 noon but arrived 10 mins early and they weren’t open yet.
Regardless of that we were made welcome and shown to our seats and made extremely welcome.
We had the lunch time special, I had the Chicken pot pie with chips - to say that it was excellent does not give justice - it was fantastic! The taste was just amazing.
My wife’s meal was fish and she said that was great as well, we complimented the staff for the quality of the meal and the service we received.
Highly recommend this restaurant, if I could give 5 more stars they would have got them.

What a great way to start the day! Nice breakfast and great coffee. The cream and berries go so well with the pancakes. The pancakes are soooo good, not too sweet at all. Bacons are really crispy and not oily at all. Filling and satisfied breakfast 🥞🥓🥑☕️☀️

This place has become so stingy. Not only was it £5.50 for an orange juice (and it wasn't even a pint of), but I ordered some fries and got this measly handful. Fed up of places being so tight. It's boring. Shame, I used to like Milo.
Fantastic food, great value. Been in today and although an item of food was missing, I went back, they cooked everything fresh again and gave us some dessert for inconvenience. Great service and would highly recommend.
Have not been here in years so decided to sit in and have breakfast. Hot chocolate was poor and tasted awful. Breakfast was flavourless and wasn’t worth the £45 bill. Will not be returning.

Had a lovely Halloumi and Avocado toastie, served by the lovely Faye and John the owner popped out to say Hi which made my experience very special. Can’t wait to bring my whole family back!

Food was good but telling me I was sitting at a table for 4 and showing me the next table over was for 2 when the restaurant was empty "really" after I was told to sit anywhere, otherwise you would have got a 5 star rating. Travelling by myself is nervous enough. Chicken & bacon penne was lovely, very tasty.
Just opposite Liverpool Lime Street station. We wanted a quick coffee and snack after travelling on the train and were very impressed with the cafe. My husband had a croissant and coffee whilst I had a gf chocolate brownie and tea with oatmilk. Very generous portions and tasty food.

Honestly we were disappointed as looking at the reviews and how busy the restaurant was we were expecting the food to be outstanding! The staff was friendly and smiling good attitude and overall the ambience was nice ! We ordered the mixed shawarma wrap and mixed meat mezze platter - the meats were under seasoned and could have been cooked better - some of the meats were a bit tough , chicken wings was the best cooked of them all however could be charred a bit more , the meat in the shawarma wrap was under seasoned and a bit dry and the ratio of veg to meat could be better - there was lot more veg ! The fries were really cold - looked liked had been cooked for a while - we left them and didn’t enjoy that! Overall the prices were reasonable and portion sizes were good- just a shame on the overall taste as we were looking forward to our meal ! Most of the things in our feedback I think can be easily fixed! Not a big downer for us but anyone who wants to a have a couple of drink with their meal they don’t serve alcohol!

After coming to NYL, the service was questionable. We had to wander round the place so we could be seated. We ordered an afternoon tea for 2, and we got this however what was mentioned on the menu, hardly any of that food was on the plates. It was basically all different to what was mentioned on the menu. Staff were sat chatting upstairs and we again had to wander about to get anyone’s attention.there was a young chap who was helpful and was friendly when he did come to the table. The staff unfortunately didn’t seem bothered if you were there or not.
The breakfast pancakes are absolutely delicious. Paired with the signature hazelnut latte would definitely make your morning happy. The portion size is good and filling.

Looked nice from outside and didn't disappoint! I had the skinny wrap and quinoa patty, and I felt full, satisfied, and content. Husband had halloumi wrap. Great service, excellent menu variety, and cool swing tunes. Will be back.
Nice small place for a quick bite in a convenient location. The food is made with care and tastes good, vegetarian options available, and different price ranges too. Staff very quick and efficient even during very busy hours. The only thing is that the last time I went the music in the background was so loud it was hard to have a conversation, if you go there to chat with a friend while eating something light. Other than that, no issues at all!
Ate here today with the family. Was very impressed with the quality of the food and great service! We both had Sunday roast and they were very good. Will be back soon. Special mention to the deal for kids, 2 courses for £4.50. Exceptional work guys, keep it up!
It was a little quiet, but mid afternoon , service was spot on. They made up a meal i requested for my elderly mother, which was not on their menu. Cannot fault them she thoroughly enjoyed herself so thanknyou so much. Highly recommended for a visit.
Nomad is a fab little spot for a bite to eat and a coffee. They have vegan options available and regularly have resident artists display their work on the walls. The theme of Nomad goes beyond their windows and logo, and features on their cup and saucers which are my favourite! Breakfast is available all day, and they have a lunch menu too.
The walls could do with a lick of paint to make the artworks stand out! And the bathroom is a gender neutral single bathroom, which is sound when it isn't busy.

We had English breakfast at milo lounge today! The food was ok ( would like to try some other dishes to give a proper food review - was like an average English breakfast nothing exceptional- egg yolk was over cooked ) - but for us what might make the whole experience better is service, while there were no issues and no real complaints ( credit where due staff was accommodating as they swapped mushrooms with black pudding for us on the breakfast) I do feel there is a missing trick here - while I appreciate how busy it can be on a Sunday a little smile on all staffs faces would go a long way and things just become easier - whether its waiting to get a table or waiting for your order!
Fast and friendly service and the food tasted fresh and delicious. First time visiting but the menu was simple and offered a few different platters that included salad, rice and bread at reasonable prices. Lebanese music playing added to the ambiance and feeling of authenticity.
We went for breakfast and we're not disappointed. A bit pricey for a full English, but it is an upmarket bistro so you kind of accept that. Service was friendly and professional and the meal size (see pic) was definitely good. Well cooked, tasty food was just the tonic for the morning after the night before.
Disappointing visit. Booked a table for Brunch as had heard good things. Clearly understaffed which is problematic these days but insisted on filling every table and sitting more tables when we had been sat ages waiting for service. Walked out after 17 mins before any contact from staff

Wir waren zu viert und bekamen Gott sei dank noch mitten in der Sonne einen Platz. Der Ansturm war groß, bei dem leckeren Frühstück, der schönen Auswahl auch nicht anders zu erwarten.
Vor allem die Veganen und vegetarischen Möglichkeiten, welche hier angeboten werden sind nicht nur gut anzusehen, sondern auch extrem lecker. Selbst glutenfreies Brot bekam ein Freund, so dass er auch seine Kohlenhydrate vernünftig abdecken konnte. Die Portionen waren groß, das Essen ging relativ schnell und wurde auch an den Tisch geliefert. Die Toiletten könnte man ordentlicher halten, doch ansonsten war der Aufenthalt bevor wir die Stadt zu Fuß erkunden wollten ein schöner und angenehmer.

I ordered a full English with scrambled eggs. I was meant to get two eggs but clearly the portion wasn’t two eggs. One at best.
However the sausages, bacons, and baked beans were delicious.
The dish was £10 and it filled me up until late afternoon.

This is a really cosy and nice restaurant to have a traditional English roast meal. I had the goat cheese as a starter which was nice and the roast beef which was well cooked and tasty. The meat and potatoes were really good, was not impressed with the Yorkshire pudding (was still ok). Was too full for desert but friends had the sticky pudding and loved it.
The staff was very friendly, it did took some time for the food to come out though. Cosy and casual atmosphere but it was a bit cold.
All in all, i would definitely recommend this restaurant!

The place is nice and has a wide menu. Prices in line with the area. We took the lunch express menu. Unfortunately, the food took a lot to come, we got our appetizer in 15 minutes and then over 30 minutes additional wait for the mains. The food was good, overall good value, but lunch express name did not love up to the express part, more than 1.5 hours.
Easy, spacious and with a good selection of traditional food. We went for the cheeseburger (very tasty) and the sea bass (a bit over cooked). Desserts were very good (browny and creme brûlée). Good value for money.
The owner needs to learn some customer service skills. I am a manager of a restaurant and disgusted to be made to pay for a breakfast that I did not eat and didn’t like. The scrambled eggs where low quality eggs threw on top of thick flour tasteless pancakes and cold bacon. I politely asked the server if I could swap it for something else as I didn’t like it the dish. The server was lovely and seemed scared of the owner as she said he would not take it off the bill and I had to pay for something I did not eat. The owner would not come out to explain why I had to pay for a meal I did not like/eat. It made sense why the tavern and leaf restaurants close by where so full and this restaurant was half empty. Will not come back again and will be telling all my customers about this experience.
Nomad is the current coffee shop to fill this space and it's worth a visit. Has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly. You're welcome to bring your laptop but need to purchase something every hour which seems fair to me.

Coffee is a little pricey at £2.90 for a relatively small black coffee but these days that's probably about right.

Visited here with my family during half term, food was absolutely delicious and nice and hot! Staff are so lovely aswell making sure we had everything we needed, kids were entertained with colours and pictures which were given to us by the Shaunna the staff member 😊 so lovely! Definitely recommend 👌🏼
The service and food has truly gone downhill fast at Nomad - at the start the food was decent and coffee great. Several months ago something was off the menu so was offered 'french toast' which turned out to be literally warburtons served salty - it was the worst french toast of my life - the current staff sit there eating sandwiches while making coffee and give half arsed attention to customers while tapping the espresso machine on and off and literally guessing the espresso pour which is amateur when it's a manual pour la marzocco. Need a revamp on the service, food and coffee at had such a positive start. Hope it changes.
I'd say we visit here pretty regularly, but I prefer it a bit earlier in the evening as it can get pretty busy and the bar area is a bit tight. The service from most of the bar staff is fast and efficient (one or two though are more interested in looking cool and chatting to girls at the bar). There's a decent range of beers and obviously loads of cocktails etc. Last time I had a zero alcohol lager it wasn't great (erdinger) but I've not ordered one since so may have a better selection now. When ordering short drinks you get a proper glass for single measures, which is actually unusual round these ways, so it's nice if you're just wanting to have a relaxing drink and not get too drunk. Pricey place though, even more so than most in the area, but it's a good bar with usually decent music. Just pick and choose who you go to to get served!

Avocado and eggs, again, well cooked/prepared but was missing some heat.
Waffles were tasty, heavier than what you usually find in the UK, could really use the syrup and butter they came with.
Good overall as an experience but missing the extra element that will make me want to visit again.

Great little Street food venue with food to match! Staff were lovely and helpful, nothing was a problem. The food was so lovely, two opted for burgers and two for a few Asian style dishes to share. Crispy sui mai were just delicious 😋. This was finished with a donut dream, can't remember what it was called but it tasted devine! Far too much for one person this photo does not due it justice.
Loved this place! It’s a cute little space and very welcoming. They offer many tasty options to choose from - most of which veggie or vegan. The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable. I love their hand cut chips and the staff is so nice :)
Nice restaurant Good Food friendly staff but no bar
Came to visit this dog friendly cafe after looking at reviews on Google and we're so glad we did. Located on the popular Lark lane, the atmosphere was cosy and warming even while busy. Love the outside inviting look as well as the inside rustic feel.
Food was amazing and cooked so well and appetising. We couldn't wait to dig in! They had menus catered for everyone both vegan and GF options.
I'd recommend if you visit Liverpool to visit Milos for comfort away from home.

The food was incredible especially the breakfast pizza fries- big portion so I took the rest home and had it the next day. Quality of the ingredients and the taste was top level! Highly recommended this.
The reason for a 4 star is- the waitress. when a table of 2 lads come in 10 minutes after us and got served first even though we've been waiting 15-20 minutes and she's looked at us, we asked if we could order she said she'd be back but tried to ignore us and serve the table next to us. This is not very professional nor a good experience apart from the food.

Having previously been to a ‘lounge’ I had high hopes and I certainly wasn’t disappointed!
Lovely food, very pleasant staff & reasonably priced. Love the gluten free options available, it’s nice to see such a wide range for once! Will certainly be returning in the future

Booked afternoon tea as a birthday gift, paid extra for the prosecco option, upon arrival told it does not include tea or coffee. I have never been anywhere for afternoon tea that does not include a hot drink as standard. Nice selection of cakes though

Very good, great location and service. Food and drink are excellent. The private meeting, drinking mezzanine is a great addition and means you look down on the surroundings but have the closeness and intimacy of the private gathering you want.
The restaurant is the Novotels. It has a good restaurant missing some more variety especially vegetables are missing. The breakfast is too expensive if not with a good deal for the stay.

Straightforward food which was well prepared and came speedily. A large screen projector tv covered one wall showing football. Plenty of children as it was 1/2 term. Modest prices.
Went here today for first time, nice friendly staff clean environment. Food was good quality large portion of soup. I just found it quite pretentious unfortunately I’m sure it doesn’t intend to give these vibes off. When we arrived it was quite but as we were leaving people where crammed in like sardines sitting so close to us. I have heard a lot of good review but I just wanted a plane sand which nothing appealed to me .

For second time I am here. The restaurant bar is actually the part of the Novotel hotel. Has a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Definitely can recommend sitting by the window and watching the the world outside.

Go for the early bird menu and save. Before 7 it's 3 courses for £20 and 2for1 cocktails. Saved us about 40%
