The almond croissant tasted really stale. And I saw they using the same cloth for cleaning the milk steamer and wiping the table. Certainly not recommended.

May 2024: I’ve come here over 15+ times in the past 2 years and it’s always been delicious! The food is less salty than other Chinese places, and tastes almost like home cooking 🥰 soft drinks are $2.50 as well. Their coffee is average. Their cheese teas are nice!
My regular go to for coffee. They are allways super friendly and flexible. I've also worked with them for catering and they were a pleasure. They have a green cafeen system of you don't want to take away disposable cups, you can take and return reusable cups.
Best chicken schnitzel i've had. Not the dodgy frozen rubbish you get from most cafe's. This is proper home made and so delicious. Staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere. Will be back!
To be fair, it is not 1 star, but someone has to start bringing the average down because it is definitely not 4 star.
Chose this place due to location and Google ranking (come on people, you need to be better).
The food was edible, but below average. The egg in my breakfast wrap was cooked to the point of abuse.
The coffee is OK, but not “great” as listed in other reviews, again I would say that it was below par.

The coffee tastes great. I have ordered an espresso and piccolo latte here for a week in a row.And i don’t feel the taste of the coffee is bad at all. It’s just ridiculous to read other people’s reviews of this cafe.keep up the amazing work!

The food was excellent! The espresso however was astoundingly bad. It tasted like char and ash and not much else. Go here for food and get coffee elsewhere.
I only ordered coffee from there, but the place is nice and clean, and the people are friendly and efficient. The food looks awesome and the prices are very good. The coffee was BEAUTIFUL.
We ordered french toast, bacon and egg roll and a large coffee to share for two. The toast was a little soggy, the roll is alright and the coffee is so so. Not too much extraordinary or anything
Arrived for late afternoon drink. Dated interior with uninspiring menu ...most items were bread based. Whilst enjoying a beer outside, the owner said goodbye to a small family (3 of his 5 customers) then grumbled about leaving a mess as they walked away. Time to retire.
The guy barista is so rude he yelled at me and my friend to stop talking once. Today he called my order before it was ready and when i went up to get it he told me to go back and wait and started laughing at me. Then he burnt my milk so bad was almost undrinkable and it literally cost 5.60 for a regular. Not sure what I've done to this guy but he's got some mad beef with me ??

Upon our arrival, we ordered our coffees and settled down. However, our group was joined by a fourth friend who brought a juice with him. To our surprise, the owner of the cafe approached our friend and rudely informed him that he was unwelcome, despite the fact that we had all ordered hot beverages from their café. It was completely uncalled for and lacked any sense of etiquette.
Not only was the owner's behavior disrespectful, but his loud and unrefined manner of speaking made the situation even more uncomfortable. We had come to enjoy our time together and relax, but his presence made us feel unwelcome and disrupted our conversation.
As customers, we expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of whether we consume items purchased elsewhere or not. The café owner had no right to pass judgment on our friend or create a hostile environment for us. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this cafe to others.

Not table service: Ma Long Kitchen - The menu is a little confusing and not so straight forward, but the taste is quite good (Sichuan chicken, mixed veg, and rice). The large will definitely fill you up! The service is polite and fast. It seems non-purchase customers can use the seating, so maybe it can be difficult to sit after ordering food or drink.
It tastes alright and it's a good price, but I keep getting slightly ill from what I can only attribute to slightly undercooked chicken lol. Something needs to change in the kitchen, because this happened the last 3 times I went.
Love this little friendly cafe which serve meal that are so well priced for the community. Love the perfect pouched eggs and generous portion of their breakfast. They serve very good coffee Foo. Thank you!

Good place to have Asian food for a decent price, at $13.5 for 3 dishes mix or $12 for 2. Large variety of food, but the spicy fish is quite bland, the sweet and sour pork has too much veggies mixed in, and the spicy chicken have quite a large ration of fried coating vs meat, so quality is you get what you pay. The chilli here is actually spicy (not hot spicy, but more spicy than most asian canteens). Have card surcharge, so prepare your cash.
Cafe was good. We went there early, right after it opened so there were only us and 2 other people. It has a good environment and a lot of old school posters. The owner is a good guy and friendly. Menu mostly had toasties and sandwiches freshly made. We had tandoori chicken and roasted veggie sandwishes. They were above average but coffee was good. I might try this one again.

Good food for price, good portion for price, good atmosphere to eat with friends. Nothing negative about this place honestly, hard to go wrong.
They gave so much food for so little, which was awesome. Their Mapo Tofu didn’t have much flavour, no meat, and wasn’t numbing or spicy. The meat dish I got was also a bit plain, and the beef tasted a little old. A lot of fat was left on their cuts, too. It’s mostly Chinese food but I can see some inspiration from Vietnamese dishes as well.

Very good, both quantity and quality wise. The fried rice is pretty good here, I'm sure even Uncle Roger would like it 😂

I came to Nesso cafe on a Wednesday for lunch. I asked the girl serving about good recommendations, and I ended up going with the chicken schnitzel wrap which was very delicious. Despite being very busy at lunchtime, both workers displayed excellent customer service. Thank you very much!
Great coffee and fantastic ham cheese tomato croissants! Always a safe bet for a quick lunch, affordable and worth it.
The Veal Tortellini in Napoli Sauce was really good...Prefect propprtion and not too heavy at all. Must try if you are in the area.

Please be very careful if you have any allergies getting something from Nesso. I am allergic to Dairy and so had ordered an Almond milk latte. I was given a normal Dairy Latte so I returned it immediately and was met with such a rude and dismissive response I was astounded. When I informed the girl serving that was given the wrong coffee she blamed me for ordering the wrong coffee, no apology- not once.
I then informed her that I was going to become sick from the coffee she had incorrectly given me she shrugged her shoulders and said “What do you want me to do?”

Staffs ok. Price reasonable. Tried latte and not up to the mark. A person after me ordered toastie and the attending person without wearing any gloves grabbed the bread and put those in the toaster. He was wiping the benches with naked hands just before that. How hygienic it should be.
Worst customer service! There's a new guy who does the milk for coffees and he does not know the difference between latte, cappuccino and flat white - all three has the same amount of froth. Depending on his mood, he pours way too much milk making my (regular size) coffee really weak or pours very little milk making my coffee really strong. He's extremely rude about it too. He has no sense of customer service and swears in front of customers when something goes wrong. You may order a flat white but you never know what you actually get - could be a cappuccino with just no chocolate dust.

We used Nesso catering for an on campus event and Jack was a pleasure to work with from start to end. He was very accommodating and quick to respond to my messages. The food was delicious, well presented and arrived promptly. I look forward to working with you again Nesso!

Had the WORST experience as a customer at this cafe today. The barista was extremely RUDE and even messed up the coffee portion sizes. Would definitely advice the staff at this place to value their regular customers to ensure retention and future success.
Imagine if we had to resort to the Zouki food and coffee if this place wasn't here!

Pleasant staff and pleasant unhurried surroundings, with friendly prompt service. Oh yeah, the food array was quite nice too, and not overpriced.
The food is good and the staff are as sweet as their desserts. Only gripe, the coffee needs to be stronger.
Tasty food and friendly staff. Muffins are particularly nice as they are freshly made on the day, and often still warm! Would be great if there were more takeaway options. It is also nice that they offer formal dining as an option, as it is a very nice space for lunch with visitors and colleagues.
An employee here was very rude. When I was telling him my orders but this savage suddenly interrupted me and rudely shouted “large or small”. Who knows what the hell do you mean?? I didn’t hear clearly first, then he stupidly said that again. This was not the first time that he treated me like that. If you don’t respect me because I am an Asian, then you’d better get out of the campus, this campus is not appropriate for a savage. He was medium built, little eye and had a beard. Please the employer notes.

It's been a couple of years that new owners are running the place and
unfortunately I'm updating my review only now (sorry Cinque Lire). The coffee is awesome and I've also had chai every now and then which was great. The staff are really really nice and the service is great. There is a large area to sit inside and you'll never wait to be seated and there is a nice outside seating area which is also sheltered. There are a lot of choices on the lunch menu.

Great place for a refresher while on campus. The outdoor area is quiet enough for a small and informal meeting, which is great when the weather is nice.
