The food here is great but this doesn’t make sense $8.50 for “French toast” on regular sliced bread when it should be thick cut/challah bread

I love this place and the woman and man who work there. Super friendly. Whether you order a burger, quesadillas or a panini, it's always just perfectly warm (the way I like my food) and tasty.

My first ever prosciutto was to die for. Perfect crispy bread, melty mozza cheese.

Staff are nice here and the food and coffee are great as well.

I come here every time I have training in the area. Easy to invite friends because it's not expensive at all. Usually 10ish minutes wait.

I ordered delivery from here and I was really pleasantly surprised at the quality and portion size. This is going to be a long review because I couldn't suss out from the previous reviews if it was legit and I have some time to kill.

I ordered the og acai bowl for $13. It's the first great acai bowl I've gotten in the area. It was vibrantly purple, with an even layer of granola, and lots of perfectly ripe blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. The acai base filled up most of the bowl and was very cold. I live about 10m away, and I was worried about the heat melting it since it's so hot right now. If you live farther, it could probably stretch about 10 more minutes for delivery.

Also ordered the southwest steak panini. It was $14. It was a hefty, warm sandwich. The filling tasted more like a breakfast hash than I expected, but my partner wasn't mad about it. I would probably only be able to eat half of it for lunch, with a yogurt on the side.

Last but not least, I ordered the chicken caesar wrap ($14). I haven't gotten a chance to eat it yet, but it looks substantially full. I could probably eat it for lunch with a small snack.

I gave it 5 stars because this is everything I want from a healthy, american cuisine lunch spot. It's quick, satisfying, tasty, and appropriately priced.

Went in for a toasted bagel with cream cheese, simple enough right. Well I had the pleasure of witnessing two giant flies mating on the cream cheese that they were about to scoop into the bagel. I literally left my stuff there and walked out from the absolute disgust.

As a local who frequents the area, I used to order breakfast and lunch from this delightful spot quite often. The staff has always been extremely attentive and friendly, creating a warm atmosphere. Their salads have consistently been fresh and enjoyable.

However, over time, I've observed a decline in both the quality and quantity of the food, which has led to less frequent visits. Despite these changes, I continue to appreciate this establishment and hope they can regain their consistency in quality. I look forward to returning in a few months to see if any positive improvements have been made.

Food is decent, prices are a little too expensive for what you get. The customer service could be better, especially the guys taking your order will give you attitude. Better places in the neighborhood but if you really want to give them a shot go ahead.

A lovely place to have breakfast! All the drinks and food were amazing and genuinely friendly owners. We really enjoyed the fresh smoothie, homemade cakes, croissants and sandwich. The vibe is cozy and calm. I totally recommend!

It’s sad that I have to leave a bad review, but this one particular lady is so rude, and challenging. 1 the food is not even all that good, secondly the presentation of the food is terrible, Third the price is so high and the quality does not match up to it. Please read the reviews and work on it, cuz if it wasn’t for the customers, the store would be closed down

Been here a number of times and usually order the Garden Panini. The first time, a few months ago, when the ingredients didn't match what was listed on the menu and therefore what I was paying for, I let it slide. Today, it happened again - I'm ordering a vegetarian sandwich that features eggplant and grilled portobello as the main ingredients but instead I'm given what I assume was the roast vegetable side for whatever was the main meal of the day. The sandwich consisted of grilled zucchini, what appeared to be summer squash, a few pieces of bell pepper, and a large portion of roast onion.

I understand buying seasonal as it's tastier and cheaper, but then 'seasonal vegetables' should be what is listed and the price adjusted accordingly. Zucchini is featured in the ingredient list, of course, but zucchini and portobello mushrooms are not at the same price point, so I paid for food I never received. Further, as an allergy mom it's scary to think that an establishment can be so blasé about their offering not resembling their ingredient list. They did manage to put a tiny bit of the Swiss cheese listed on the ingredients into the sandwich, but it was so little as to render it almost impercetible. When I'm paying $12 for a sandwich, it would be great if the ingredients that give the sandwich its heft actually appear in it. My only regret was that I chose to eat at my desk so could not speak with the staff on site.

Additionally, I find it deeply problematic that we are being charged the merchant fee for swiping a credit card at this establishment. Either treat the fee as a part of the cost of your doing business, which it is, or put up a large sign by the machine to say customers are expected to pay the fee, so people can choose to pay in cash. I wouldn't have known about the fee if I hadn't studied the screen because the employee would not listen to me when I said that the screen was not progressing and asked what I needed to do - she just kept saying 'it went through' but I had not reached the point where I could click 'Pay now'. I was forced to hit the cancel button because it seemed that she expected me to walk away from a screen where my credit card was still live and it seemed I actually hadn't paid! Needless to say, she wasn't impressed about having to ring up the order again.

I'm sad to even write this review as I want to support local businesses and I remember when this space was still Sage General Store and I would frequent it as well, but today's experience, coupled with the prior sandwich dupe which in retrospect was likely not an error, has left much wanting.

The inside dining area is cramped but nicely decorated. The "real moss" wall is a really nice touch! The service is friendly and reasonable fast and the drink options are well-chosen. I enjoyed the Kentucky BBQ burger burger🍔, done medium. It was fantastic! My only "beef" 😊 is that the bread 🍞 was soggy and difficult to handle. The price was a bit high $10 for a burger, otherwise a great experience overall.

Use to buy here till the manager started to act like a cheapskate. Every time I order a bacon egg and cheese and opened it, I realize they only put one strip of bacon on each side of the hero. Sometimes the bacon was shredded just to make it seem like there’s more. I called the place and asked to speak to the manager and he gave me this excuses about how long the bacon is and that it’s an 8 inch strip. Seriously? This is how you want to keep people coming back here? I rather buy off the food truck in next to my building and save me those 2 dollars since they charge me 3.50 for that. Place use to be good now they count everything down. Even when you ask for extra ketchup at the counter they give you two, no more. The girl last time didn’t seem so pleased when I asked her if she could please give me another two.

Nice additional coffee and food option to the expanding LIC neighbourhood. The inside has a rustic feel with exposed pipes and grain wood walls, but is also clean and modern. The food options are great; avocado toast is a regular favourite. The coffee is on the pricey side but is strong and good quality.
There’s limited seating (one long bench and some window seats) so take out is the usual choice.
