Again I decided to go to this place and this time unsuccessfully, the staff in the cafe was rude, sometimes it seemed that they forgot about me altogether, as well as my order. (The wait was 30 minutes, maybe less, but it felt like it).
Small mom n pop type restaurant. Good food. Good prices.

I experienced a delicious posole stew. The oregano, cilantro, and chili where comforting memories in every spoonful. The menu was extensive. Known for tamales, truthfully, they were okay just seemed rushed. Still the establishment was worth the drive. Parking can be an issue in the neighborhood. It is a nice walk.

Horrible spot and they always get the orders wrong… my spicy loaded wedges, with NO spicy sauce and what looks like ranch instead…. Guess i can just eat that $7 plus taxes huh?

Never clean in here. Saw employee dump someone else fries back in to the pan with rest of fries. Corporate will here about this. Jus nasty food was horrible
Best Mexican restaurant I've been to since moving to Los Angeles this year. Definitely worth the price and service here.
I wanted Menudo in the summer, and I got top-tier menudo 😋 im the summer and the chilaquiles were superb.
I ordered the menudo, but it was not good. It lacked flavor, should have been boiled a little longer perhaps. However our waitress took it back and refunded it. My husband ordered the chilaquiles plate with bacon which he did like. And my son tried the burger which he also liked. Music and service was good.

Jack needs to stop thinking he can sell international foods. Reason In n Out and Chick Filet make 10 times more money per location is they focus. All the grilled chicken tastes boiled jack. Burgers, Sourdough stuff, shakes, breakfast and soda variety are all great everything else including the tacos suck bad.
Came out for $2 tacos on Thirsty Thursday! They hit the spot, I placed a 2nd order. Beer was nice and cold served with a frosty glass.
Food is delicious. Only reason I gave a 4 star to the food is because we ate the buffet this past Friday and the food was Luke warm. But food does really have good flavor.

The fact that I spent $20 and couldn’t get 2 sauces per meal is wild. Not to mention Alexis said if I received a fourth sauce he could lose his job! Seek better employment buddy.
Drive thru is not open 24 hours like advertised this location likes to close there's at like 3am to whenever they decide to open it sometimes I get lucky and am able to place an order but most of the time it's just closed
Teresitas Restaurant in Los Angeles is a true gem that has won my heart with its authentic Mexican cuisine and warm hospitality. From the moment I stepped inside this inviting eatery, I knew I was in for a culinary experience that would transport me straight to the heart of Mexico.

The ambiance at Teresitas is vibrant and welcoming, reflecting the spirit of Mexican culture. The colorful decor and lively atmosphere create a joyful and festive setting, making every visit feel like a celebration with friends and family.

Now, let's talk about the true star of the show - the food. Teresitas' menu is a delightful journey through the rich and diverse flavors of Mexico, each dish thoughtfully crafted to bring the essence of traditional Mexican cooking to the table.

I recently visited Jack in the Box and had the pleasure of trying their Spicy Sriracha Burger and Jumbo Jack® Cheeseburger, and let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion! The Spicy Sriracha Burger had just the right amount of kick, with the Sriracha sauce adding a delightful tangy heat that perfectly complemented the juicy beef patty and fresh toppings. On the other hand, the Jumbo Jack® Cheeseburger was a classic delight with its generous portion of melted cheese and the signature Jack in the Box secret sauce, creating a mouthwatering combination that satisfied my burger cravings. Both burgers were served hot and fresh, and the buns were soft and toasted to perfection. The service was quick and friendly, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're a burger lover like me, I highly recommend trying this delightful duo of flavors at Jack in the Box - you won't be disappointed!

All teenagers staff with no supervision I guess...they look bothered by the fact I asked for cup holders for my 4 drinks, then this guy comes in to give me my rest of the food and just keeps looking when I ask for ketchup he look as if he was making me a favor he didn't even put napkins or straw...very bad service overall....also curly fries are not curly anymore, what is going on?.

Bad service everytime I go there it takes 5 to 10 min to order and another 10 min to get the food. Specially the girls working there they act like they don't wanna be there and they give you attitude. there's times I don't have time to walk to mc Donald's so I go to jack cuz is closer.
Excellent place to dine for authentic Mexican food. The owner has artist artwork and paintings all over the premises. Name of the artist/painter is Yup Ruffini Tamayo! Named the restaurant after him. Enjoy!!!

First time here today; and not a good first impression. I ordered the "bistec a la mexicana." First off, the woman who took my order didn't even offer me a seat; not inside, or outside while I waited. I stood there, standing the whole 15-20 minutes. That's bad customer service. There was only two people eating there at 8:30am. Next, I know bistec can be tough and chewy, but they're cooking it, so why was it Too tough to eat? Hardly any of it was edible. Lots of fatty pieces and rough meat. The taste was excellent. The food was hot and fresh. Came with rice, beans,(and those both tasted great) and three corn tortillas. the tortillas were a bit soggy and stuck to one another. Probably because they were hot when they stacked em on top of one another in a foil. The tortillas were good tasting though. Lastly, when the woman brought my order to me, it was upright, but I opened it immediately in the car, and it was to one side and a pretty sloppy presentation. Juice was all mixed in the beans. I'd eventually eat the beans with the juice and meat, but I'm saying, presentation wise. It means everything that when we get our food, it looks presentable and not sloppy. the champurrado I got was very good. So those things didn't make it a good first time experience. Was this worth the $22 I paid for this plate? No. Not very likely to ever go back. I'm sure they have something I'd like. I did think about trying their huevos con toncino. Or their ham and eggs. But for a customer paying $22 for a plate that didn't even give a good portion of sides, meat that wasn't edible, and didn't even get offered a seat to wait, I won't likely go back. First impressions are everything.
Good service and delicious margarita 🍹

Had scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, wheat toast, salsa; it was so good. I used up all the salsa. I was the only customer, it was so quiet and serene.
A true hole in the wall. There's definitely a relaxed atmosphere about the place with several customers making chit chat with the cooks up front. Expect it to be noisy but that just adds to the charm of the place. Their chilaquiles are great and you're even given the option of choosing the consistency of the dish (soft or slightly crunchy). Their tortillas are handmade and generously portioned. They also offer fresh squeezed juice to go with your meal. Skip out on some of the bigger Mexican restaurants and go with this one if you want a slightly more authentic experience.

I had the Chile relleno and it was soggy and not fresh or made to order. My son had the taquitos plate and he enjoyed the plate, aside from the peas and carrots that they add to there rice which is not typical or real Mexican rice, it should just be rice cooked in tomato sauce. The worse part is that if you pay with a debit or credit card they charge you a 4% additional charge based on your bill today. Which makes no sense because most plates are valued at about 15 to 20 dollar, I would assume that you add that to the price meal, not add it to the total with taxes and then add 4% card fee, on top of my interest rate for using my card to help support there business, definitely not worth it.
Love this place! I come here a lot with my bff! The chiles rellenos plate are intensely DELICIOUS with the yummy beans (that don't taste like canned beans) and the home made rice...yum yum!!

The menudo here, is the best I've had.

I recommend their menudo -only.

Our table server was forgetful, put in our order wrong, blamed it on the cook, and FAILED to correct it, -even after I asked her to...in fact, she never returned to my table--AT ALL!!

After waiting and waiting, i asked another attendant for my check, and assisted me with further needs.
Wow, the staff here has been very attentive to everyone, and the food is almost as good as abuelas, and these extra large handmade tortillas along with the Cafe de Olla hits the spot
Food is very homey . Carne asada tacos, visteak de higado, piña colada, michelada. Is a little dark inside will be grate to update the inside with the same theme. Waitress very nice is clean too.

I bought a kids meal and an order of tacos. Returned to my business and handed my daughter the bag only to realize they didn't give me any chicken nuggets or fries and instead gave me churro bites. I returned to get the chicken nuggets and fries I was missing. They said they'd only give me the chicken nuggets and no fries because my daughter ate the churros. But to be fairly honest the churros are the least we deserved for going out of my way to return to the restaurant for a mistake THEY made.
I've been going to Chalios for the longest ever since I was a kid with mi familia. it never fail to disappoint with their delicious enchiladas, quesadillas and my favorite huevos rancheros. Hopefully it stays the way it is.

Jorge the manager needs Customer Service training.

Ordered my food and saw coupons on the counter. I asked the two gentleman behind the counter if I could take some to my work to encourage them to go to Jacks. Jorge micromanaged his employees and yelled rudely one per customer as if he had any idea about what was going on. I got a refund and left. Try trusting your employees instead of embarrassing them them in front of the whole restaurant.

Won’t be going back. Will now encourage my coworkers to go anywhere but here.
At least your business will be appreciated.
4th time eating here. I was very disappointed. The food has either fallen off due to new cook. Or I ordered the wrong dishes. It was delicious before. Everything we ordered was meh. Meal was $75. I love the quint atmosphere and service. Menudo was pretty bad and the huevos rancheros was pretty meh.

We were a table of 11 retired firefighters my machaca was very tasty, the service was very good.
Absolutely spectacular. A must visit for locals and tourists alike. The mole sauce is the best on the planet. Ask them the origin of the recipe.

This restaurant is the reason I'm usually always cooking my food at home. I stopped by this jack in the box on the way home and ordered the #7. They gave me cold salted fries that tasted like old stale tobacco even though i asked for unsalted fries. Cold burger that had to be sitting up for hours, it was not fresh at all, and thank goodness I asked for a bottled water because God only knows what's in the soda machine. I will never stop at this place again. I would rather starve to death.

I noticed this place when driving through and decided to stop by for lunch.

The parking lot is very tight with only a few spots and getting in and out was quite difficult because many people had large vehicles when I visited (long bed trucks, SUVs and Vans) however, as frustrating as the parking situation was the food was amazing and the staff were all great.

I ordered one if each tamale (8 in total) and I split them with my guest.

We also tried the Chile relleno which was delicious as well.

The tamales were $2.50 each which is about the average now but they were a good size (I'll usually be served a thinner tamale from other restaurants). The red and green salsas they provide were great too and I wish we would have been able to take some home.

For a drink we tied the champurrado which was also quite good.

The atmosphere was welcoming and I look forward to stopping by again some day in the future.

Very good menudo not going to lie the food is good it’s a small place I understand it get busy and they are understaffed it’s ok to wait but this weekend I had a very bad experience when we asked one of the ladies if we can get a table cleaned and she snapped at us saying if we wanted a table we had to wait with a very bad and rude attitude we just decided to go eat somewhere else seems like the didn’t care about loosing customers not sure if we will be going back. I wouldn’t want her to get in trouble, just talk to them and train them for better customer service maybe she was having a bad day maybe she was stressed we get it we are not perfect. I was really looking forward to getting my menudo since I have been sick with the flue. Maybe next time.
My first time here since i was looking for a menudo for this cold weather. I had a large menudo with nervio, poco grano (porque me salen granos), y no pata. I rate the menudo 10/10. The tortillas and service on point!! I recommend this place 100%!
Food was very delicious, lots of flavor in the dishes. It felt like home. Service was good throughout the entire dine in experience . It's definitely a place to try.
We got Enchilada cheese plate and green chilaquiles with eggs.
The lady was super rude. Menudo had no taste. She told us the tortillas, cilantro, onion etc was in the bag. When we got home nothing was in the bag besides some tacos we ordered. Horrible customer service.
Love the food, atmosphere and service here. Best place to eat in East LA, hands down. The best meal value-wise is the nacho platter, but honestly I've never gotten a meal here I wasn't happy with. It's a good place to go relax with friends or family and the dining area is spacious which is nice.

They need security to keep the homeless people out of the drive thru. This location has good customer service but the workers can't be expected to do their job and be security. Seriously more times than not, some scary homeless guy will come up before I order and ask me to order something for him. They get scary if you refuse and then you're stuck in the drive thru awkwardly while they are there too. Seriously do something
This was my first visit and it did not disappoint. We ordered the small birria and red chilaquiles with steak and eggs. The red chilaquiles salsa was slightly spicy and tasty. The spicy did not overpower the taste. The steak (carne asada) was flavorful and juicy. I loved that their chilaquiles plate came with beans and potatoes, not the boring rice you get at other restaurants. The cheese on top of the beans was a dry Mexican cheese, not American shredded cheese. The waitress and team were very accommodating to my request to make small changes. I love asking for the eggs scrambled and tossed in the chilaquiles. This restaurant is truly unique and delicious and not busy on a Sunday. We got seated immediately at a booth during lunchtime. The decor is cozy and not cheesy Mexican (I’m Mexican and can say this). The background music is a nice mellow selection featuring Luis Miguel and other artists from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. After our delicious and satisfying meal we ordered coffee and freshly baked pistachio bread. The bread was almost like a pound cake but very moist and the right amount of sweet. It was perfect with our coffee.

The prices have gone up a lot and the quality of the food has sadly gone done. No one in my family cared for the food, I myself took a couple of bites and that was enough for me the beef tasted as if it was bad . I do not like to complain but aside from the food not being good the fact that my grand daughter does not eat condiments and we clearly asked for a plain cheeseburger so when the cheeseburger with everything in it came out we had to tell them it was suppose to be plain the waitress looked irritated and took it back and when she brought “another” cheeseburger back it was pretty upsetting to see they scraped everything off n gave it back it was the same exact cheeseburger we figured that out after we seen my grand daughter would not eat it after taking a bite . She said it taste funny . Me and my family will not be returning here .

I ordered food at 12am on Friday 1/13/2023, my order consisted of 1 combo spicy chicken sandwich($10+), and a order of 6pc ($9)chicken strips. The chicken strips were over cooked so much that the chicken if it even had some all was stale. The burger was the only thing good. The drink was in a new cup and I don’t know if they added water to make up for the big size but it made my stomach hurt right away.
All around this place has good, fresh food. I ordered the mole plate with a sope. Menu is priced reasonably and food is made with love. Hand made tortillas. Mmmmmm.

Humberto, the owner, has a true passion for food and art! It shows in the amazing artwork he displays and pares it with delicious fresh Mexican foods! Everything I have tried from the salads to the salmon are wonderful! A true experience for those that love food, art and an unbelievably beautiful restaurant! We take all we ant to impress for business meetings to Tamayos. A true gem in East LA!
One of my favorite places to dine. Great menu selection, everything made to order. Philipe is the head waiter, he is the best, just introduce yourself and he will do what it takes to satisfy your dining experience. Nice atmosphere, use to be an art gallery, plenty of dining space and restaurant is very clean. Secure valet parking or you can park on street. Nice comfortable bar with TV's to watch your favorite sports.
Horrible service, I ordered chilaquiles (super soggy), barbacoa (bland), and asada sope(we could taste the oil more than the meat). No prices on the chart and when they charge you they dont give you a receipt. I didnt even what or how much they charged me for...never going back there again.

First time coming here and it won’t be my last. A friend recommended this place and we decided to go for our weekly family dinner. Food was super delicious, the salsas and chips were good as well. The soup is what they are known for, it’s beefy, light and delicious with some tortillas and an additional squeeze or two of lemon. The carne asada was delicious, tender, and flavorful. The beans were good as well, perfectly cooked and seasoned and still has a good amount of texture left.
Had to visit this place after my grandpa wouldn’t stop telling me about it and now I understand all the hype ! Everything we ordered was delicious, even the oatmeal. Service was incredibly friendly and the waitress was super attentive to our needs. Water glasses didn’t flow empty and neither did the coffee mugs. We will definitely be back !
One of the employees was way out of line. Flirting with a customer asking improper private details of such customer. Using crude and vulgar language. Sat down as if she owned the place and did not let the customer eat in peace. Our food was horrible. You could tell those tamales have been re-steamed over several times. They are not tasty nor fresh looking. They seemed to have been prepared with filthy water. Not a good experience at all. Most uncomfortable experience overall. Will definitely never go there again. It's a shame because it just got remodeled not to long ago. Should changed the personnel instead. Thank goodness for the cameras that way you can see for yourself what I mean and whom I am speaking of. Such a shame nice place but not for families with children. I know we all use cuss words but there is a place and time for that kind of language.

It was our first time there, but I don't recommended because they gave us the food and juices that we didn't ask for and we needed to pay them. One of the women said that even if we don't eat ir or drink it, we needed to pay for it. It wasn't our mistake and we needed to pay it because of their mistakes. Yum. A hidden gem. Small family-owned traditional Mexican restaurant on East 1st Street (across from the Hollenbeck police station), just east of St Louis St.
Plenty of on street or rear lot parking available. Owner is friendly & aims to please. Salsa is spicy & tasty, Chips are fresh, coffee is hot, smooth and rich with a subtle cinnamon undertone. The food was made to order, variations to menu items were not an issue, food was hot & very tasty. And, prices are very reasonable.
You can't miss at Los Antojitos.
Completely horrible service we ordered for pick up when we went to pick up they forgot all our entrees after we asked is this everything and would not do anything to make it right if I could give them 0 stars I would

Last week i visited this place is not good the food was all cold the service was the worst and my food was all raw ugly we end up livig with out eating aneything and we still pay are food .
Really good food, affordable as well. I had the Morcajete witch came with 2 pieces of beef, chicken, chorizo queso fresco, cebollitas, rice and beans. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. Food was really fresh, from the Menudo, wet burrito and the morcajete. The burrito was Birria de chivo. They serve tortilla chips when you sit down with 3 salsas.

Went to this place on a whim and ended up in a happy food coma. The wet burrito combo comes with a side salad and guacamole. They serve menudo daily and it's delicious, hearty bowl of tripe. Molcajete has 3 optionsthe option in the picture is a regular for one. They do have a seafood and meat mix; it comes with a side soup of estrellas. All in all its a great place. Just felt like it needed salt all around. They do have karaoke after 6 I believe. Its a fun restaurant with good music. For all three dishes plus 2 mexican cokes, a Horchata and a Jamaica. The total was 49 dollars without tip. Good place and great prices.

The price of the food is affordable the attitude of the waitress and server is very positive, the only inconvenient is at the time to pay the ticket there's a wait time for pay.

The food here is GOOD. I'm not gonna lie, I really enjoy their food EVERY time I come here.

I'm giving one star rating because they are also SUPER UNORGANIZED and show CUSTOMER PREFERENCE. I was next in line to order food and I stepped up to start ordering the lady behind the customer started talking and helping the lady behind my with her family. On top of that they took my order and still helped about 3 other customers before they actually brought me my food to go. THEN, when I was getting ready to pay they started running my card and ALSO helped about 2 other customers pay for their orders while they just kept my card and I stood on the sidelines waiting for my card back and a receipt.

Once I think the headache is over I'm walking to my car and the food spilled inside the bag!

Hopefully this one star rating helps them notice they need to be more organized and treat each customer the same.

Picture attached of my food before I made it to the car.

It's always amateur night here don't serve good drinks. Place is nice service is ok if you don't mind waiting.
I have known about this place since I moved into the neighborhood back 57 years (Sept. 1966). It used to be a cabaret (strip joint) like Nicolas down the street. The prices are about normal for this area and the service was great. They need to open more often, right now it's hit or miss. The restrooms were nice and clean too.
Good authentic Mexican food. You can enjoy with family have a good Breakfast, Luch, Dinner... I love caldo de Albondigas.... My fav!!
Came here for my brother's graduation dinner on a Friday. It was fairly empty, there is only valet parking. The area surrounding the restaurant is not what you'd expect from the incredible service you get once entering this establishment. The outdoor facade/ look is not appealing. The place looks as if it was a repurposed motel building made into a fine dining Mexican restaurant. The place is pretty big with plenty of seating for large parties. The interior is much more appealing to the eye with large canvased paintings of Mexican artists. My favorite was the recreation of The Last Supper but with abstract pineapples.

The food was good but not out of this world Mexican food. The prices are definitely high for what you order. I believe the chicken was the best. I ordered their combination of chicken flautas and the Chile relleno. Portion sizes are big which makes it all worth it in the end. Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita! (Red) Overall, would come again for a special event like another graduation. We had 2 vegans (including my brother the grad) and we were given great service and accommodation for our diets. He had the veggie wet burrito.

Feels like mothers cooking. The waitress is so kind and knows how to treat customers. You are first served with chips and green or red (both) salsa, which are very good and your choice of beverage. The food is excellent. I recommend the chile verde or carnitas wet burrito. I am a forever customer here.
Please don't come here to eat and save your money. Food was horrible and half of my plate had the meat not cooked all the way through.
The food was really good. I ordered the chilaquilles with carne asada. I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 because of the service. Maybe it was a hectic morning or not enough staff but our server took forever and when she finally did get to us she had an attitude. We were ready to order but she only wanted to take our drink order instead which took another 15 minutes to get to us. We could have saved easily 30 min if we ordered everything at once and received what we asked for. But when it was finally done it was good.

Fresh and delicious cafe de la olla, delicious Mexican food, cozy place, the owner is friendly and she care about customer comfort, easy Street parking and parking in rear.
My first time here, but I willl not be coming back. The food is bland and, to me, it's not worth the money. However, the main reason why I won't return is the terrible service! After preparing the food for someone that came after me, they didn't even prepare my food as I ordered. I asked for an enchilada plate without beans, and they put beans in my plate. The lady that gave my my food was not the one that took my order, and her response was "well, I didn't know, so here you go". WHAT KIND OF RESPONSE IS THAT? They definitely lost any potential business from me, and I will make sure they do too from anyone I know. I do not appreciate such incopentence and lack of professionalism.
great food it's a mom's type of cooking feels like home....but it is empty not much business but is nice quiet place to eat in peace with you and your company
