La gestión es lamentable, la gran mayoria de monitores de natación son negligentes; los que son válidos, que siguen trabajando, no están con los cursillos de natación. La dirección y coordinación del centro es nefasta, así como el mantenimiento de las instalaciones. En múltiples ocasiones me he encontrado con un único socorrista cubriendo una piscina de tales dimensiones.

Quiero dejar una reseña a partir de otras críticas que he leído sobre el mantenimiento y la limpieza de los vestuarios y establecimiento en general. Soy usuaria hace 4 meses y este gimnasio es realmente hermoso, pero el principal problema que tiene son los usuarios descuidados y, sinceramente, sucios.
He visto varios movilizarse por el vestuario completamente empapados al salir de las piscinas y duchas mojando todo el espacio al pasar. Personas literalmente goteando de sudor el piso sin tener la delicadeza de higenizar el espacio que mojaron. Acaso debe haber una persona de mantenimiento por detrás de éstos para mantener todo limpio? Además de que es un asco y no deberían hacerlo por eso mismo, los usuarios sucios son ADULTOS con capacidad de discernir que el uso de los espacios es compartido.
Ni hablar de los que en espacio de maquinas de musculación golpean todo sin ningun fin. Por qué es tan dificil cuidar los espacios y herramientas???
Dicho esto, Forus tiene aspectos que mejorar? Totalmente, siempre debe haber lugar a la mejora de los espacios en terminos técnicos y re-inversíon en infraestructura para seguir creciendo. Y el foco lo pondría en las regulaciones realmente importantes de situaciones como las mencionadas; no en limitar las clases a las que puede asistir uno por semana como en el padle, por ejemplo. Enfasis en el trato de los recepcionistas (el buen trato de Verónica debería ser el de todos) y en que los técnicos esténatentos al uso correcto de las maquinas (las chicas por lo general lo hacen, los varones en cambio no están o están charlando todo el tiempo)
En conclusión, tenemos en forus un espacio bueno con potencial. Deberíamos todos como usuarios y staff valorar lo que se tiene, cuidarlo. No darlo por sentado.

Desde que Forus gestiona las instalaciones es un auténtico desastre. Vestuarios con duchas que nunca han funcionado y ahora sin agua caliente, NADA RECOMENDABLE

The gym itself is not bad, the commercial management part is outrageous bordering on not legal by law I think. Beyond the fact that in 2023 they increased the price twice, in January and October but the fact that shows zero respect to customers is that they do it without warning in any way. Now having an automatic monthly SEPA payment I find this fact to be highly disrespectful and fraudulent. Last thing, after asking for explanations at receptions I was told that the management by corporate choice does not communicate increases to customers. Speechless.
Dissapointed in the way how its organized, on my first day yesterday i had no one to ask to show me how to use some of the equipment because they have gaps when no one is in gym area and the guy who was at reception didnt show interest to give me a better solution rather than to wait, secondly as i went to take a shower there was no hot water without any sign to know, luckily there was a cleaning lady who then told us they’re having troubles and we have to wait for about 20 min or so, all in all a frustrating first experience so hopefully other locations function better, the only thing i like there is spa area which is really nice

Super friendly staff, welcoming environment, a great facilities and awesome workouts! I just did a drop in while visiting Barcelona but I would definitely recommend this gym and hopefully come back again one day 😊

Terrible gym experience all round. Signed up looking for a middle ground gym with some nicer amenities, which they list online and proudly talk about. In reality the sauna has been in the “will be back next week” phase for the last month, the showers are cold, hairdryers don’t work, and the jacuzzi is a lukewarm bath. For the price that you pay you would think some of the amenities would work, but if they didn’t then at least you could get a good workout in. Wrong. The gym itself is actually worse. With one machine/station for each workout you are guaranteed to be waiting. On top of that almost none of the machines are new. It’s almost impossible to get a quick workout in unless you are insanely lucky, and if you aren’t looking for a quick workout you will have to change your plan several times to accommodate there only being one of each machine.
On top of that the management sucks and will blatantly lie to you about the machines or amenities to make a quick buck.
Only decent thing about this gym are the classes, which are well ran and quite intense. But even that doesn’t justify the price you pay.
Simply don’t sign up for this gym. I did and even though I still have a membership I stopped going because of how unpleasant it was. Now just watch as they respond saying thank you for the review but don’t listen to a single word of my review or any other.

Worst metropolitan. Staff are awful. Gym is always packed. They always raise the price but the quality does not match the value. Very disappointing gym. Stay away.
I just purchased a 3 months gym membership. I was told during the purchase process this was the cheapest offer they could provide. 3 days later I decided to cancel my membership as the equipment they had in the gym was broken and the showers were always running cold, or just dribbling out water. I also found out there was a 1 month membership option, far cheaper than what I was sold.
After only 3 days of my membership I contacted the gym to cancel my membership, but they "refuse" to give me a refund.
The customer service is also appalling. They just want to take your money!

Me encantó el lugar, muy limpio, las instalaciones están bien cuidadas, en el gimnasio siempre hay sitio, y por ultimo la piscina de nado y el spa son fantásticas!
Favorite place to play padel. Need to fight for availability but it’s the most cheapest place near by
The center is fine for my part, it has all the machines and weights I need. I could use longer opening hours (or unmanned hours, I'm used to a 24 hr gym).

Xabi the coach was very welcoming and gave me a quick tour upon arrival :) love that there is a dedicated space for open gym. It’s relatively well equipped. Unfortunately the ceiling is very low and the rig is installed very close to the wall so it’s not possible to do proper gymnastics. The floor is also very uneven and you cannot drop. Since the OG space is underground, there’s also not much ventilation. People are welcoming and friendly though :)
Es un desastre. Cada septiembre hay un horario nuevo y quitan las clases que funcionan. Hay mucha rotación de técnicos motivo por el que es raro el día que no se cancela una clase. Además las instalaciones están muy deterioradas y sobre todo sucias. Llevan casi un año de obras en los vestuarios y tenemos que estar haciendo colas para ducharnos. Por mucho que nos quejamos en el centro, forus no hace nada.
Es una pena porque el ambiente tanto de los técnicos como de los socios que llevan muchos años es muy agradable pero por cosas así muchos socios deciden irse.

We were in Barcelona for 6 days and wanted to work out during our stay. Found this gym that has a drop in for 7 Euros per person - amazing price! Super simple registration and fantastic gym - has every machine, free weights, cardio machines and stretching area that you could possibly need. Excellent staff too. Make sure you bring a towel though - it is mandatory and if you don’t have one, you can buy one from them for 3 Euros.

Lamentable de principio a fin, Que conste que he puesto hojas de reclamaciones sin respuesta. El colmo este sábado fui con un amigo y le cobraron 14€ !!! por entrar a las instalaciones pase vergüenza y el se quedo de piedra cuando vio las instalaciones. Como usuario he sufrido las obras de reforma de los vestuarios, no se han rebajado cuotas ni ningún detalle como invitaciones que antes se daban. Ahora se acaban las reformas después de meses de retraso y resulta que de todas las duchas que habían solo han dejado 7 para 100 taquillas ( mas o menos) pero sorpresa solo funcionan 2 las otras salen un chorrito que te has de pegar a pared el resto ni salen.
Kann nur das Open Gym bewerten. Zu wenig Equipment : Bsp. Kurzhanteln nur bis 25KG, 1 Rowerg, 2 Assualtbikes, 1 Skierg. Sportgeräte in keinem guten Zustand und keine Luft zum Atmen (und wir waren morgens um 10:30) da.
Well equipped place with really nice ambience and professional staff. The trainers are always positive and cautious at the same time for attendee's well being. Highly recommended.
CrossFit LFS is a great place to get in shape and learn the fundamentals of CrossFit. The coaches are knowledgeable, experienced and really fun…they create a supportive and encouraging environment. The best in town
Well located, easy to book drop-in class, good WOD, big box, price acesssible.
Joined for a year. And decided to sign out for many reasins; the security system is very annoying. You need the bracelet and your finger print to get in all different parts of the gym. Showers are old and smell like public swimming pool. Old machines. Always packed. The girls at reception are unfriendly, they barely acknowledge you when you need help. Charge 1€ if you forget your bracelet. I think at this price you can find a better gym.
As of July 2023, 8 Euros for a day pass. Free weights, machines & full cardio. Bring your own towel.
I am a member of Sant cugat Dir. Since my work is in barcelona I decided to upgrade my membership. I went here to enroll and later the receptionist let me seen the center and I decided to enroll. When I came back to enter she said I am member in Sant Cugat and claret. She said she didn't understand me. There is no sense that she showed me the center and later she will put in me the claret 😔. And later when she called someone to fix and change it. I was overpayment. They speak catalan but I understand it completely. They changed it but she didn't tell me that I have overpayment. I hope someone can take proper action on this! Well bad experience for the first day and the jacuzzi is not working there is no bubbles even though I keep pressing the button 😥.
They advertise one price outside, show you a different price on their price list inside, and then try to charge you an even higher price. It ends up being the same price as a nice gym if you pay for a month, save your money and go somewhere better.
I first joined LFS in 2019 after trying out a couple of cross fit gyms in Barcelona, and since then it’s one of the things I miss the most when I am away! The team has made this place feel like home for me and many other people. In addition to that, what I like the most is that they are quality driven as by keeping classes small (12 people) they provide a personalised experience in comparison to larger commercial gyms/boxes. They have classes at almost every hour of the day which is really convenient. The hourly sessions however go by so fast because each is different, fun and entertaining! The trainers are very prepared and always ready to explain again an exercise or to find an option that works for you if you have an injury. Best box in Barcelona!!

2. The receptionist / trainer told me that since the WOD is fully booked, I can attend "Basic WOD" which is the same but just with more explanations for beginners. However, this was a lie. The basic WOD was very very basic. Only 3 rounds in 15 mins time camp? Seriously?
Crossfit is scalable by design, and you dont need to make basic & advanced levels. Just one level for all is enough, and each person can scale the moves down / up as needed. This whole basic WOD is a horrible idea.
3. I asked about the showers and the female receptionist / trainer told me I cant use the showers because they will close the box immediately after the class! Excuse me?
4. Nothing personal in this box. No smiles. No "thank you". No "welcome". No "great work". No "how was your first class?". No claps at the end of the class. Nothing! Nada!
5. I watched the WOD while waiting and I could see how the trainer is not attentive to people's mistakes, not correcting anyone, not warning them of bad postures. He was in his own world while beginners were making horrible mistakes.
To me, paying €20 for this mediocre class was a mistake that I will never repeat, and this review is to warn everyone else.

I love how affordable the price is as compared to other gyms in Barcelona, there are different training equipments from cardio to body-mass &gain, or any other necessary kind.
Additionally, I love that the space is always cleaned/well maintained.
Highly recommend BCN Fitness, it accomodates all; localists, tourists, etc.....

Day visit EURO 9.70 , check-in can take some time ( be patient)
Shower and lockers available , no need for padlock since lockers work with wristband.

Mejor que vayáis a otro, club caro para lo que ofrece (55€/m aprox). Sala fitness muy dejada (mancuernas rotas, discos rotos, suelo lleno de agujeros, maquinas de pesas rotas y viejas, de las maquinas de correr suelen romperse una a la semana y no se arreglan) debido a la prioridad del waterpolo. Vestuarios muy sucios durante la semana debido al constante flujo de gente y la poca limpieza (los baños huelen muy mal) y finalmente la zona de relax con saunas y hidromasaje, se suele romper algo mínimo una vez a la semana ya sea la sauna, las duchas o el jacuzzi.
Conclusión, si te interesa nadar (y tienes recursos económicos) es tu club, siempre y cuando no estén entrenando los equipos pues en tal caso no hay carriles libres ya que la piscina exterior se cierra protno, si te interesa un club con buen gimnasio y buenas instalaciones, vete a otro pues por parte de la administración y dirección no atienden a las demandas de los socios !

I wanted to like this gym, the facilities are overall nicer than what you typically find in Barcelona. That said, it is SUPER over crowded, and at times all machines are full. In the open exercise space they will often have a full class as well as personal trainers with their clients. I had a personal trainer ask me to leave one area explaining it’s reserved for “personal training”- yet they crowd everywhere else too! I’m lucky that I’m able to train in the middle of the day because morning and evening is out of the question!
Große Studio was gut ausgestattet ist. Hop In 20€. Leider nicht so persönlich und super gastfreundlich wie man es kennt. Trotzdem ein guter Platz für nen Workout im Urlaub.
Soooo much overpriced: the club is old and dirty, towels worn out, no cosmetics and shower necessities in changing rooms, in spa zone the water is dirty and the broken tile is everywhere which is dangerous for health. They don’t have swimming pool to swim, only to lay for a while. They don’t have suspense period for the membership, they don’t speak good English and do not explain the package, but they require the bank account number to extend membership regularly.
Small, cramped, expensive.. you do not get your moneys worth and there is always some issues. I’ve been there for a month.
Three times I’ve had to talk to the staff to fix my entrance issues. Very nice staff but that’s the only compliment I’ve got for this gym

They offer very good deal for tourist visiting Barcelona. The 5 day pass for €30 is the cheapest I’ve seen in Europe.
The staff are very accommodating and welcoming for non-Spanish speaker. They make an effort to help you and make you feel welcome.
Highly recommended if you are visiting Barcelona and need to workout.

Nice CrossFit place with a fun programming and friendly people. I stayed in Barcelona for 10 days and came here for some drop-ins. They offer different classes (WoD, basic WoD, endurance, gymnastics, weightlifting, open gym). Sometimes, the classes are full (especially in the evening), so it's good to book in advance.
Metropolitan is an amazing gym chain. The Balmes in particular has serious problems with their staff starting from management. Pay a close eye at other reviews. Everything low rated has the staff and treatment to clients has a deterrent.
Conversely most 5 star reviews don’t even bother to write, and most have been posted after their rating dipped 4!

Gym is not big but there is everything you need, the Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Changing rooms are very well done also compared to other branches I've visited. Definitely my favorite sport center in Eixample.
Right off the rip, rating as a tourist using this as a temporary gym. It is a cramped gym. They can’t change that unless they move locations, therefore I don’t think it would be fair to assess them on the overall size of the facility. However I do appreciate how much the gym works with the space it has, minus some flaws. There is an acceptable amount of stationary resistance machines. Their quality runs from very nice new to older models that have been taken care of. There’s three cable machines which is above the standard two. Two squat racks, they are way too close to each other though. Two flat benches. In the upstairs they have nice concept 2 rowers.
Negatives: the turf area has potential, however I believe they selected the wrong area to turf. You can’t do a full 20 meter sled or drag and with three people in the current turf area it does get crowded. The squat racks are too close to each other.
Other than those two hang ups this place is an easy recommend if you’re in Barcelona visiting. They sell a lock at the front or you can just use a bicycle lock/ baby lock.
Bring a towel because that’s the Spain standard.

A really great gym if you are into fitness. Like-minded people makes training contagious. The location is great if you are visiting from out of town as I was. They have daily, weekly and monthly rates. I found what I needed for my workouts. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I walked to and from my hotel, so I got right to it!

Large box in Poblenou that has a very open space ground floor, with a nice open gym area downstairs if you want to train individually! 🔥 and the staff is friendly and good!
The best swimming pool / leisure centre situated at the top of the city.
This is the best gym in town. Although it is not huge, the size is perfect for a daily training with great machines, treadmills. On top of that it is extremely clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I have been working out for 15 years, and I can say that BDIR Mallorca is just perfect.

Its a very small gym, nothing special, not too bad nor very good, has all the basics and not to expensive, so, as it a 30 sec walk from my house, I go.

I do like to point out the nice and friendly receptionist, Christina, I think her name is, which is always there for any problem or issue, solves everything with a smile and most importantly makes you feel at home.

Small gym, well equiped, not too busy. If you’re into spinning, they have the best bikes available (Stages). The boxing area has 3 bags (no speedbag though) but the floor is full of holes so, careful. Special mention to Cristina who is the absolute best and will solve any problem in no time (and with a smile!).
I signed up my wife and I for 6 months in January 2020 and then Covid arrived in March. I asked to cancel the membership as the Gym was closed. Never received a response from membership. I kept receiving emails saying 'we received your email' but then nothing. €375.00 gone and no reply. Unprofessional is an understatement. Stay away from this gym!

I was skeptical at first because of the large number of people attending their classes. But somehow it works. They seem very attentive with the beginners. And they are also providing useful advice to their more advanced students.
There is also the fact that they have an extra room in the basement so people can do their own workouts while there are classes in the main room.
Update: it still seems like one of the best options in Barcelona.

I went in for a tour of the gym and was disappointed. I visited four gyms in the neighbourhood and Bdir was the smallest, was open the fewer hours and was by far the most expensive. But what I really didn’t like was that they are not transparent with their pricing. They’re not posted on their website and, when at the end of the tour the person helping me wrote them out by hand, he refused to let me take them with me unless I have them my identifying information. It now very happy at another gym in the area, which I didn’t have to pay to sign up to, costs 30% less than bdir, has more equipment and classes and allows me to go to all their gyms. What bdir charges does not seem to be worth what they offer. And they should be more transparent with their pricing.
Good box, with nice equipment and conditioning classes for beginners, I'm only missing the rope. Coaches are attentive but they don't spend much time explaining the technique nor strategies for the WOD, so if you are starting with CrossFit this is probably not your place.
Super good for travelers. Reasonable daily pass price. Options of 1/3/5 days. Been there every morning before sightseeing.
Cleanest gym I ever see.Is not fully packed equipments wise,but with a little bit of imagination you will be able to performe any sort of training type.
