We stayed at Hotel Nomad Aug/Sept 2023. Just two blocks from the citadel and boardwalk and central old city, we could access anything in a short walk. Basically we just parked our car in the lot and used our feet the whole time. And what a marvelous staff! Welcoming, friendly, fun and helpful. I wish I could remember names, but sadly I don't. But for the gentleman who wore glasses, I say thank you for flying to Paris for those breakfast croissants ;-). A bientot!
The rooms are nothing special. It's a room. The service was absolutely amazing. Everyone was amazing. I have never felt so taken care of in a hotel. The location is fantastic. Love love love. Had an amazing stay and will return simply for the fantastic service. 10/10!!
An excellent location in Old Quebec City. Staff are courteous and willing to assist. We had a small issue with Housekeeping - our room was not cleaned before the day staff left. We called the Services, who promptly addressed the situation. Unfortunately they provided the turn-down service. We had to call a second time to have fresh cups and coffee delivered to the room for the morning.

All other aspects of our stay were handled in a professional manner.
We recently stayed in Hôtel Nomad in Vieux Quebec, and hopefully, we will stay there again the next time we visit this wonderfully historic and charming city. The hotel is very well situated as it practically backs onto the stunning Plains of Abraham, and on the front side, sits across a small park from the iconic Chateau Frontenac. We chose to stay in Hôtel Nomad primarily because of its sustainability status (certified as a Carbon Neutral Enterprise in 2021), yet also because it offers a personalized, unique and intimate environment. The 9 rooms are apparently all different, and our room had a very comfortable queen bed, desk/chair, loosely 'space'-themed decor, beautiful oak floors, an ensuite bathroom with tub &, shower, and was very clean. Next time we'd like to try one of the suites, especially the one that overlooks the park and beyond to the Frontenac and the St. Lawrence. Enjoying breakfast in its bay window will be a treat.
I am happy to recommend Hôtel Nomad to anyone looking for a place to stay that is welcoming, quiet, lovely, and beautifully scaled to the historic environs of Old Quebec City, at the same time as embracing important current, sustainability efforts.
As always, a most enjoyable experience. The building and facilities are excellent, but the quality that makes it stand out from all other hotels is the staff. Friendly, competent and tolerant of my sorry attempt at French. They do not seem to be acting, they are genuinely welcoming.
We loved our stay at Hotel Nomad. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel that has been thoughtfully designed and styled. The owners made great use of the space in our room and everything appeared carefully curated. We loved the aesthetic, particularly in the lounge, where we enjoyed incredible croissants and great coffee. The location can’t be beat, with river views, a park, and the iconic Hotel Frontenac right out the front door.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Great location within the old town but still peaceful, and views of the river from the front door, and a small park area just outside. Loved our room (Florence A White suite) with gorgeous bathroom and chaise longue to sit and enjoy views of the Chateau and river. Really clean and nicely serviced when required (although also stood by their sustainability standards eg towel replacement only when requested which we were pleased about as we find that isn't always the case in every hotel!) We appreciated having parking on site (although it's a bit tight by some country standards it was fine compared to UK/Europe and our hire car SUV fitted fine). WiFi was a little weak at times but didn't really bother us. Hope to go back one day!
The location in Quebec City could not be better. Experience was good, however the room and bathroom were terribly small for the cost. I understand that older hotels have smaller rooms, but perhaps the furniture layout could be modified. My wife and I could not pass each other at the foot of the bed, and had to wait for one of us to pass, and then the other could walk by.

The staff was excellent, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Enjoyed working with them.

Breakfast Buffet was excellent. The food and service at the Champlain Restaurant were excellent, but would have rather ordered a la carte, than have a price fixe meal. We did know the format going in.

The bar was a good experience, but difficult to get in to, given such a large hotel, and such limited seating in the bar.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with wonderful service. The concierge loaned us umbrellas on a rainy day. :) The wine bar is very cool, and the restaurant has beautiful views. Be sure to check out the history of the building on the lower level. It’s an historic place.
Everything was top notch! When I called to make the reservation they had asked if it was any special occasion that was bringing us there and I had indicated it was our first anniversary and we really had not taken a honey mood so this was like our mini moon. The upgrade and chocolate covered strawberries were such a great surprise. Everyone at the hotel were so helpful and accommodating and it was just such a beautiful hotel, we didn't want to leave! We love the city of Quebec too - such a cool vibe. We will definitely be back!
Much gratitude!

This is a beautiful, iconic hotel in a great location. The service is excellent and the food and beverage offerings are amazing. We had a nice sized room, but I was surprised that a hotel of this caliber did not offer amenities such as slippers and robes. Also, some of our friends complained that the size of their rooms were so small that they were unacceptable so beware of that. Otherwise, highly recommended.
I love this hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room is excellently appointed with modern touches that pay homage to the history and culture behind the establishment. And of course it just looks amazing inside and outside everywhere. I would always want to stay here when I visit Quebec City.
We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, and yes, getting to the room involved a narrow staircase and the space was certainly cozy but it was exactly as advertised. Anyone complaining about the size should pay more attention before booking. The room was well designed, had character, and the best part- it had a small private terrace which we accessed through a window! It was quirky and fun and we loved it. If you are a couple in the larger side the double bed might be too small, but was just fine for us. We will 100% be back. Staff were exceptional, service was perfect and the croissants - amazing! We booked parking and breakfast with our room, and I would recommend that.
From the beginning this place was great. The staff were friendly and watched our bags until our room was ready for check in. It’s very cute they’ve done a nice job decorating. Our room was space themed and fun. The location is perfect, everything was close.

The hotel is a small, boutique hotel so there weren’t a lot of extras but we didn’t notice anything lacking. I think the smaller nature meant it was more for adults and that was great for us.

Our room was big, much bigger than the last few hotel rooms I’ve been in. I do wish we’d had one more chair, there was one at the desk, but one for each of us would have been nice.

It was quiet, I heard people in the hall, but that was brief and didn’t wake me up.

Overall I’d stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone I know staying in QC.
Due to a error in the booking we had to move rooms. The last night rooms was situated next to the elevator, airco very noisy (you should check) and the shower starting dripping in the middle of the night. Cleanliness above all: please move the chairs to clean….

In the end I paid 278 euro without breakfast, as much as the superior king room… Very overpriced for what we got.

The reception, more specific Sara who named herself as general manager, was very rude and not friendly at all. At least we expected a small compensation, eg glass of wine, free breakfast.

Very pity since I worked myself for years in hospitality so I know how to treat people as duty manager.

Not good at all, im very sorry..
We had a fantastic stay here at Hôtel Nomad. We stayed in one of the “Theme” rooms which had character just like the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel felt safe and quiet. We loved how close we were to all the attractions and restaurants.

We would have appreciated a little bar fridge in the room to store drinks and food, other that that we were very satisfied!
We stayed midweek for 3 nights in August and really liked the hotel. The location is excellent and we walked everywhere with no car needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was super quiet, especially for being in the heart of the city. We had a cute little rooftop balcony, which granted we had to crawl out a window to access but ok, charming! Only thing I'd do differently is spend a little more on a bigger room. Our room was tiny, we knew this when booking, but chose it anyway cause we knew we'd be spending little time in the room. Accessing our 3rd floor room with luggage in a narrow stairwell was a little challenging - it was clearly stated when booking there was no elevator - so if you have mobility issues, call and ask. Biggest upside - probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. The room, and especially the bathroom, was immaculate.
The worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. The rooms were adequate quality, the service was so bad that they started arguing with us and kept sending us ip and down stairs to drop off our luggage. Concierge wasn’t even available. The fitness centre was not good at all. For the price you pay, this hotel is definitely NOT worth it. And also breakfast is not even included in the price!!
I stayed in a smoke-free room with 2 other people (my family). Overall my experience was pretty positive and I do suggest this location! Here's my thoughts:

Part 1 - the GOOD
✅ Excellent location - across the street from the National Assembly and within 5min of Historic Quebec City. Surrounded by high-tier shops & cute prewar neighborhoods. One of the best places you can possibly have for a hotel.
✅Meal & parking plan - my deal on Expedia got me a $50 food credit for my stay and free parking. I heard that paying for parking can cast you though (which I'd say is still worth it since it's secure).
✅Bistro on level 3 - a good (though a bit pricey) Bistro is open for guests on level 3. Breakfast goes from 7am until 10:30am and is pretty tasty.
✅Room amenities pretty good - bar some caveats that I'll mention in Part 2, the rooms look nice and have pretty good amenities
✅Gym & pool - I'm more of a gym guy but the people I stayed with like the pool. On level 2 you have both. Problem solved!
✅Good wifi - compared to the other hotels I've visited, the wifi is pretty good!
✅ Interconnected - driving is OK if you're careful with the signage and stop signals, and the hotel is right on a major transit route & bike share. It's also in the middle of everything so you can bike, walk, etc.

Part 2 - the BAD
📌Hard to park - the garage is tight in some places.
📌Bad room ventilation & freshness - you can't open the windows and there's no room vents, meaning that we had to leave the door open to refresh it after a particularly humid & hot day.
📌No washroom fan - speaking of ventilation, taking a shower will make everything pretty damp and there's no fan/vent to handle the moisture.
📌 Temporary construction - only a problem for now, but construction is annoying. I'm excited for how the finished project will turn out though!
We stayed in the hotel during the last weekend of July/2023. The location is great, and we liked the hotel in overall. Our room was good, spacious and comfortable. There were a couple of errors during the cleaning services but nothing major. Example: one day they forgot to put back the bathroom mat. We used some face cloths and left them on the floor to be changed, and they weren’t. So, as I said, nothing major.

There was some renovations going on in the front of the hotel and the access was not good. So, if you have any sort of disability or is travelling with babies/strollers, please check this before. Also, when you get inside, you still need to take 2 flights of escalators to get to the reception floor. I am not sure if this is a permanent thing for them or they will move downstairs once the renovations are done.

There was a small Nespresso machine in the room. We paid $25/each for breakfast and it was very well served.
Very disappointed in our recent stay. We had requested adjacent rooms - one of the rooms had foul smell, staff said they would send dehumidifier but sent a humidifier instead which did nothing. Ended up with rooms at opposite ends of hall, suboptimal with small kids. Hotel run down and way overpriced for the condition and service provided.
Great price and location right outside old Quebec. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were in good shape but the wallpaper was starting to come off in places.

Only issue was that the pool was too warm for us. On a 35C day the pool was almost as hot as a hot tub so it was not refreshing. But it was very clean! Would definitely stay here again.
Good
- location, walking distance to the old down and few groceries nearby
- clean
- quiet - they space out visitors, so no next room neighbors, which was nice
- mattress - god medium soft/firm mattress

Bad
- SMELL! Room smells awful, like 100 dirty socks and it was a torture staying in such a room for entire week. There is no ventilation and windows can't be opened, so was opening the front door to get some air.
This is a deal breaker for me.

- breakfast - the bistro below charges breakfast 25 dollars and even expects tipping the waitress when you just use the open buffet and bring food to table yourself! There isn't even that much variety for such a high price.
Tried it once and never again.

- elevators - confusing annoying setup where you have to use 2 elevators to get to your room

- noisy mini fridge - had to be unplugged at night to sleep
Service was FANTASTIC! And the hotel is well located. The only complaint I have is that they promise spectacular views, and the pictures on the website aren't representative of the view we had. I was in a suite, so I kind of expected the same view we saw on the website, but it was nowhere near that beautiful. Other than the view being a little underwhelming, the rest of my experience was good. The staff is very friendly, the service at the valet parking was very good and the hotel is well located and within walking distance of many local attractions!
Nicle and dime you. The airline lost my luggage so i needed a dental and shaving kit little did i know i would be charged $10 for that. I sayed in 100s of hotel never been charged. Also when I checked out i was over charged for my wine as well. When you pay over $350 a night you expect amenities to be free. When i asked for the kits i was never told there would be a charge.

Update: I did tell the clerk about it when i checked out and he said he cant do anything about it and will let me know about the wine charges and i never herd back. So all this ruined all the good things you have.
Great spacious rooms some with view. Comfy beds. Very friendly & professional staff. Location is perfect to get to the restaurants & stores.
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We travel four to five times a year all over the world and I can easily say this hotel exceeded our expectations. It checked best on quietness, proximity to main attractions, walkable, amazing customer service, cleanliness, and the apples!!!!! Thank you everyone for making us feel welcomed and for making our trip a memorable one.
Lovely clean rooms, with comfortable beds, breakfast was extra and very expensive however delicious. Housekeeping would only give us 3 towels at a time, we were traveling with kids and needed more. We booked with Expedia so we had free parking underground. Normally it would be an extra $25 a day. Hotel was under construction at the time, it will be beautiful when completed. They had a good system to deal with their guests even though their front entrance was under construction. Kids were disappointed the outdoor pool was shut down on the last day, they had too many chemicals in the pool and couldn’t open. However the first two days of our stay the pool was very nice, clean and super warm.
Living in 71 for four nights. Room size is really good, also high ceiling. Hotel renovation very update. Building inside not old at all. Soundproof is good. Restaurant in hotel is delicious. Morning free breakfast is fine. 24hrs free coffee machine. And 24hrs wines machine you can buy. Wi-Fi cover inside and outside building.
Loved this hotel and all the features. A lot of lounging and working areas, wifi everywhere, and self-serve wine machines. Staff was helpful and thoughtful. Location is right in the heart of Old Quebec by the port. Would want to come back.
If you stay here, be prepared for a bit of trek to your room! It’s a biggie! It's not in the city center, but it's okay. Just be aware parking will cost you a bit..

As a first impression, you feel it’s an expansive hotel with its sheer size - can be both a blessing and a curse! This grand scale does come with its fair share of walking, so guests who prefer to have everything within arm's reach might find this somewhat challenging.

The location of the hotel is reasonable, although it doesn't exactly sit at the heart of the city's bustling hub, and because it’s elevated location, walking up and down would be a bit challenging for those who don’t have exercising on their list!

The rooms were above average, not bad at all, definitely would need a little touch of freshness. The staff handled were friendly and helpful.

One aspect of the hotel that truly stood out was the restaurant. The menu was diverse, the food was amazing and the views were breathtaking!

Don’t forget that while parking is convenient and it’s on-site and secure, it’s is on the costly side.

The good thing is that it’s so close to the Old Quebec City where the heritage and history of this city is.
Great view, clean rooms, and the rain showers are great after a long day of walking.

Staff was friendly and courteous, and the attached restaurant makes a mean manicotti.

The over-reliance on QR codes for guest services was a bit irritating, however, and it would be nice if a URL was printed next to it. My phone's camera lens is scratched and can't read QR codes, so it felt like I was being punished for neglecting my smartphone, and one of the codes they gave us was misprinted.
