Reviews

Lovely heritage hotel with friendly staff and great food. Not cheap, but everything felt high quality in the room and other spaces.
Staff were quick and efficient at check-in and check-out. They even had Pelaton bikes for use in the gym. Wish I had the kids with me to see the Bear Suite at Xmas. I would certainly stay again on my next visit to Seattle.
No bathtubs. What is this world coming to? Other Curios have luxurious bathtubs as a feature, sometimes in every room [try the one on Bellingham Bay! it’s exquisite!]. it was surprising that the front desk person was not very nice, even after she must have seen my Diamond status. No recognition. No apologies. No welcoming words. Maybe everyone has been made Diamond status lately, because it certainly does not feel like it used to. This location recently remodeled, so i was really looking forward to checking it out. But it’s not as fabulous as i was expecting.

We stayed here one night. It was few feet away from the Pike place market. The rooms were clean and spacious. The customer service was beyond exceptional. Would highly recommend.

Our stay at the market was lovely! The hotel was charming, clean, and very comfortable. We could easily walk everywhere and return to our room for things we forgot! We would definitely stay again, and enjoy the charm of this area for longer.

The wife and I stayed here for one night several weeks ago for her birthday. It was super last minute and I think I booked the room the night before. Most of the hotels in the area were pretty pricey of course since it was super last minute that I was booking. I found this place and it was reasonable compared to the other options, so I decided to go with this one. First off the location is perfect, it's located in the heart of downtown with a lot of attractions within walking distance. I gotta say I was not expecting such a nice hotel for the price we paid. We've stayed at fair amount of hotels and this one is definitely one our favorites.

The valet and check in staff were super nice and welcoming. We decided to valet since I did not feel like parking down the block or having to search for somewhere decent to park. The check in was a breeze and the staff made sure we had everything to make our stay special.

We had a king size bed room which was fabulous. The room was nice and spacious. The bathroom also very nice, clean, and spacious. We were on the 8th floor I believe with a nice views of downtown. One thing that did catch me off guard for a hotel being in Seattle was the Bible in the room. At check out I inquired about that since I thought that was awesome. The lady said all the rooms have them. Gotta love a business especially a large corporation like Hyatt that still honors the Lord. Grand Hyatt definitely will have my business in the future.

I would definitely recommend staying here! whether you're visiting from out of town or just having a special night out like us, this hotel has all you need and more! From all around exceptional service, to the nice spacious rooms, and great location, what more could you ask for.

Apologize forgot to take photos!
Wow. Just wow. One of the nicest, calmest, yet exciting stays. Def recommended if you've never been to Seattle. Or, if you're only here for a short weekend or the night. It's right in the heart of everything. Leave your car in the garage and walk around. Or take the nearby Monorail to the Space Needle.

The staff are exceptional. The rooms are modern and gorgeous. You'll feel so special staying here.
Very disappointing experience. Went in for a nice New Year’s Eve brunch. Was told that there would be a 10-15 minute wait. We ended up waiting about an hour. I ordered the crab cakes. They tasted like vomit and cat food. This brunch tarnished a reputable and honored brand.

Stayed here 3 nights for my wife’s 30th birthday. The concierge did an amazing job setting up the regency suite with balloons, decorations, and champagne. The suite was surprisingly spacious and had a great view of the Ferris Wheel. This will be our go to hotel, whenever we are in Seattle. They have amazing service, front desk/housekeeping staff were pleasant. Probably one of the best hotels you can stay in Seattle.
I had a wonderful stay at The Charter Hotel in Seattle this past June 2023. I flew in for my summer holiday in the US and this hotel was my first stay. The property is well maintained and appointed stylishly. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. I especially enjoyed the ample amount of space in the room to move around and the size of the bathroom. The shower was perfect too - great water pressure and temperature control. The rooftop restaurant and bar served delicious food and generous pours while providing excellent views of the harbor. I enjoyed many sunsets from that view during my stay. The location is prime - a few blocks from the market, original Starbucks, Nordstroms, and many surrounding neighborhoods. When I am back in Seattle, I will be staying here!
Decent hotel. Stayed because it was apart of the Hyatt family. Bathroom was pretty good. The Hyatt regency though was nicer and cheaper. This hotel only had valet parking and I prefer parking my own car. The Hyatt regency was also cheaper and had a nicer room.
I took off a star because of the way they roll out their tea service. They limit your time to about 1 hour, you are not allowed to try the different kinds of teas they offer, you only can pick one kind of tea for $95, the petite savory foods (second tier) was not good not fresh, they don't give additional tea leaves only water which isn't even hot, tea service felt rushed, and service was not in alignment with a luxury hotel but the ambiance and the time spent with friends is always fun at the Fairmont. 4 stars is generous for the outrageous prices for what they deliver. I would rather go to DeLAURENTI and host a tea party at home or in the hotel room instead! Fairmont needs to upgrade and reevaluate its Tea Service experience and at least serve fresh pastries and food. For $95, The George Manager needs to make some strategic improvements to offer better value and better alignment to a luxury hotel.
Beautiful hotel, friendly service, impressive bar, very good but pricy restaurant, surprisingly very fair prices for rooms. The bed was comfy. The linens, blankets are towels were high quality. Nice shower. Strong water pressure. Quality soaps and shampoo. Quiet. Charging port at bedside. Reading light at bedside. Room darkening shades on windows. Spectacular Christmas tree with GEORGEOUS decoration.

The hotel looks very nice. The beds are comfy, however; at 2 am the furnace was malfunctioning: boom boom BOOM boom boom BOOM! It sounded like something from a scary movie. Perhaps the maintenance men are lazy? Perhaps the furnace filters were not changed? Then the temperature changed & room was 62° Yikes!
I'll start with the good. Cool lobby and the main restaurant is very good, I would definitely recommend eating there once. Valet service was also very quick and convenient although it cost us $80 a night.

Otherwise, Junior suite room was very disappointing in size, layout, and decor. Felt like any mid range hotel, although the amenities were of nice quality, except our towels smelled like smoked wood for some reason. Our bathroom had large water stains all over one side of the walls. The windows in the room leak lots of cold air and do not block the city sounds well at all. There was no table to sit at to eat which was odd for a suite. I did like how the TV let you Chromecast anything from your own device.

We felt the hotel prioritized everything happening in the lobby (parties in the ball rooms or whatever) over guests as it was always a 15 minute wait on hold when you called for service, there was always day old trash or used glasses by our elevator, and room service came very late and didn't even change sheets. We also had a terrible time at the pool with several kids jumping in constantly and off the little waterfall. Our toddler was too scared to try swimming.

Don't think we would stay again and I'm weary of other Fairmont properties now as it seems they care more about Instagramable lobbies then providing a clean quality room and other spaces. They clearly need to hire more people to answer phone calls, clean the halls and rooms, police the pool, etc to ensure guests have a nice time. And the rooms need a remodel to match the quality of the rest of the space and feel worth the money.

Stayed there for 2 nights on 43rd floor. The room is a bit small but it's pretty clean. However, the customers service is a bit scatchy. The old man who brought us some ice has a very snappy mouth. I don't like such experience since it's our first time staying there. And the second night we hear small dog barking all night long. We all woke up with zombie eyes the following morning. If pets are allowed then you should make one level just for all people with pets so people without pets can have a good night sleep.
All the staff from the front desk to the valet were friendly. The hotel is walking distance to pike’s place market. It was sprinkling on one afternoon when we were going out. The staff offered us umbrellas to borrow while we walked around the area. Rooms were bigger than I expected. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the bathroom. Overall my experience was great.
The Panama hotel is a lovely spot with important Seattle history. The cafe has a great selection of teas and drinks, and if you’re lucky Miumiu the cat will pay you a visit!

I stayed here a total of 4 nights and had a wonderful overall stay. The staff at check-in was friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the large in-room TV and included (free!) bottle water in the mini-fridge. Good location, it was about a 10 min walk from Westlake Station and about a 15 min walk to Pike Place Market. Great hotel for a pre-cruise stay!
I love the Panama Hotel. It is beautiful , unique and a real refuge for sincere and interesting people. I do wish it was easier to get in and out of the building during a stay. I certainly respect the prioritization of safety and comfort, but a customized key code or something equivalent for paying guests would be really appreciated. I love everything else about Panama,
though. It’s a beautiful building in a treasured community and I would always recommend it to other creatives who love culture, travel and adventure. 💟
The hotel is a few blocks away from Pikes Place Market. The hotel has Valet parking, and the rooms are spacious. Although, I was not too fond of the location of our room because it is looking out to the next building. During our stay, we got a $110 credit that we could use at the restaurant. Housekeeping came to our room the next night, cleaned our room, and brought fresh towels, too. We got our free water bottle every day.
Nice room in a great location but the service was "fair". For example my wife was unloading luggage and had her hands full with a large item that wouldn't fit through the revolving door. She was struggling to open the regular door to the lobby while a hotel employee stood 5 feet away and watched without offering assistance. There is a bright blue-lit button on the door. She pressed the button thinking it would open the door automatically. Instead the button stopped the revolving door. The employ snapped at her, and told not to hit the button again, but still failed to offer any sort of help with the luggage. It was all very bizarre. Also, when your room comes with a $ credit to the hotel restaurant, please be informed that the credit is only good the night of check in, and can't be used for breakfast in the morning (or so that's what the lady at the desk told us). This seemed rather chintzy considering the price we payed for the room.
Great hotel , great location. I loved my stay here! Great atmosphere, quite close to the waterfront. The streets surrounding are quite steep but it was manageable , otherwise you could always get an Uber. The rooms were very nice, tidy, clean. The team that were working were awesome to deal with. Dinning area and bar area was beautiful. Really nice place to stay. I think I may of seen about 5 different wedding photo shoots during my stay here.
Got “upgraded” to a tiny deluxe king room, which is supposedly 50 sqft bigger than a regular king. There’s only one chair in the entire room and you get a view of a brick building. I recommend staying somewhere else unless you are in a suite. Breakfast was great though.
This was an excellent hotel located in an excellent part of downtown. Plenty of stuff to do and plenty of places to eat within the hotel. The rooms are fairly spacious with large comfortable beds. Ask for real pillows because those fake down ones are terrible. The service is wonderful and the concierge was great. We really enjoyed dining at Daniel's Broiler. If you ask for a high floor the views are amazing. Also the gym is very well appointed with weight, rowing, elliptical, treadmills and yoga studio. Parking is underground and they do have street parking if you prefer. The pic attached is from one room window.

We had a great three-day stay here! Lovely suite with views of Elliott Bay and the Olympics (lucky weather for December). Staff members were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I'd choose the Grand any time I was in Seattle!
I simply needed to note in a public space how magnificent the people who work at Four Seasons are......special shout out to Joshua the host at Goldfinch who is effortlessly charming and charmingly deft at diffusing a vociferously entitled snowflake of a guest (not a hotel guest)......kudos! The bartenders at Goldfinch are disarmingly gracious and seamlessly attentive.....cheers! Looking forward to basking in the general loveliness again soon.
Staying at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel was exactly what you'd expect from a Fairmont property: exceptional in every way. The hotel is impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, making it a luxurious and comfortable space to spend time in.

One aspect that particularly stood out was the valet service. Parking our car was a breeze thanks to their efficient and courteous staff. Additionally, the bar at the hotel is a highlight, offering a sophisticated ambiance that's perfect for unwinding after a day out or for a relaxed evening in.

The service throughout the hotel is top-notch. Every staff member we encountered was attentive and dedicated to ensuring our stay was as pleasant and hassle-free as possible. The Fairmont Olympic Hotel truly excels in providing a high-quality hospitality experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious stay with outstanding service.
I booked a room last minute on a Saturday night after looking for a hotel with a bathtub for over an hour. Grand Hyatt Seattle looked nice and was a decent price so I went for a king with tub and corner views. Arrived 30 minutes later at 9 pm. Front desk staff was so kind, and for reasons unknown to me, I was upgraded to the Emerald Suite (RM 2722 if y’all want to book it).

Let me just say I have NEVER felt as spoiled as I did walking into this room… It was huge, and had three giant windows with amazing views. The one out the bedroom window looked over the city and right onto the bay. STUNNING. It’s also a super short walk to the infamous Pike Place Market. …And the bathtub y’all! I felt like a queen!

I never want to stay anywhere ever again. I just need this hotel in every city I ever go! The front desk fellow who also helped me with a couple things that I had forgotten was Gary, cheers to him for making any average guest feel like an absolute celebrity. Please don’t hesitate to book at this hotel and especially this particular suite if you want to live like royalty and experience Seattle from the heart.
The hotel was beautiful, great location. I prepaid with American Express Travel booking. So when I got there I was charged an additional Urban Experience Fee: $33 and Urban Experience Tax: $3.33. It almost feels like a black or African American tax. It just did not sit right with me. The breakfast was amazing & the staff was fine. I was in the room by myself.

This hotel is pretty lack luster. It is dim, dated and kind of stuffy. Needs updating. Way overpriced for what it is with lots of hidden fees - exorbitant parking and resort fee. The parking garage we discovered is notorious for break ins and we saw the remains of a smashed window in one slot near us. We chose this hotel because it has a sauna and steam room. They were hot and not crowded which was great. They too were dated and kind of dank feeling however. The best thing about the hotel were the spacious and lovely marble bathrooms with huge tubs and glass showers. Those were really nice. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again, all considered.
Lovely hotel, very clean and peaceful. Beautiful views from the 40th floor. If you’re on a higher floor, the elevator will consistently take forever to arrive and your ears will pop (both frequent topic of discussion with strangers in elevators). Loved the kale salad in their market. Right across from the Seattle Convention Center and an awesome walkable downtown location.
The hotel is located at a great spot in downtown Seattle. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you need a late check out or for your bags to be held for some reason they do it no question asked. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Every morning they offer free coffee in the lobby. Overall, it is a really nice hotel which I would gladly stay again.
We ate at the restaurant. It was WONDERFUL!! About $125 per person. Worth every cent! The steak was amazing! The service was on point! We will definitely be back!

I travel for business, and my usual place was fully booked, so I "took a chance" on this one, and WOW, I will not be returning to the other guys! The Inn at the Market has everything you need and more. The location is perfect- I walked around Pike Place every morning. The amenities and small touches were excellent: room service for breakfast - I got ham and Beechers cheese omelet with sourdough toast and roasted potatoes one day, and eggs Benedict the second - yum!! The rooms have robes, slippers, and shower caps, among the other toiletries you'd expect.

Last but not least, the VIEWING DECK on the 5th floor has a panoramic view of the Cascades to Mt Rainier.... I was in awe.

Security is excellent and staff was very friendly. This is my new go-to spot!!
Enjoyed our stay! Wonderful, friendly service. We had a beautiful bay view room. Very clean and comfortable.
We had dinner there on a Saturday night. While the food was good, the server was disappointing. Once the bill arrived, his customer service skills disappeared. When we attempted to split our bill per person he then let us know that it was policy to not process payments for more than 2 credit cards and walked away. We were also not proactively told that gratuity had already been added, even as a table of only four. Communication is severely lacking.
This hotel is oozing with historical charm! It is like a 1930s time capsule, but with the modern luxuries you'd want in a new hotel. The rooms were very clean and cozy, with a fun blend of modern and classic touches. Check in and check out were seamless, and you can't beat the location. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
Elegant, old style hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. My room was clean and very comfortable. Great location in downtown Seattle. Would happily stay again!
This is the absolute best hotel! I loved every second I spent in this gorgeous work of art, in my suite, in the pool, every where! They have a very clear sustainable initiative in practice, which I appreciate so much. The fitness room could be upgraded but I got a lot of work done regardless. The pool was clean and beautiful, completely open in the morning! The smaller heated pool was so amazing; I see why people love them!
The hotel has receipts and notes from the 1920s on the walls, it’s just so beautiful. I hope I’m lucky enough to stay here again!
Great little hotel right across the street from the Market. Floor to ceiling windows looking out over the sound were the best view I can remember ever having from a hotel room. Only gave him four on service because we had a problem with our TV. None of the channels higher than 11 would come in. We told him when we checked in and never heard anything. Told him the second night got the weekend guy who said he'd let the Monday guy know. Other than that all the other service was more than exceptional. Really appreciate it the waiter in the rooftop bar pointing out that a 17% gratuity was automatically added so not to double tip.
My partner and I stayed + had our wedding block at the Thompson Seattle for our wedding weekend and we are so happy with our experience. Setting up and coordinating the block with Saurina was a dream -- she and her team are so organized, kind, thoughtful, and care about every detail. And our wedding guests constantly told us how happy they were with their stay and how much they loved their rooms (and the great amenities like industrial steamers).

My husband and I stayed in the Penthouse North and it is STUNNING. And the thoughtful surprises (like champagne, flowers, and a fully stocked fridge/kitchen with our favorite snacks) just made our stay even better.

Thank you to The Thompson's team for helping make our wedding weekend so special. We cannot wait for an excuse to stay at The Thompson Seattle again.
Great location and great service. Someone is standing outside to help with luggage and open the doors for you. Then inside, there's someone to help you to your room if you'd like. We got there about eight hours before check-in, and they had a room available for us to go to, which was fantastic. Super old hotel, but has been renovated nicely, but it still looks like an older hotel. The room was nice, but my only complaint is the toilet is really low, and I'm only five feet tall. Easy to walk everywhere in downtown.
I'm an On Call Nanny, so I did not stay overnight, yet was extremely wellbtaken care of by Valet, room service & the concierge desk.
Arbitrarily, I was happy with the lotion provided, on the bathroom counter, b/c I wash my hands aLOT & I LOVE moisturizing my skin w/ "yummy-smelling" lotions.

The view is spectacular when you get to see the water...especially at night when the ferries arrive.

COME stay at FOUR SEASONS!!!
I had a cup of tea there only but hope to stay in the hotel next time. It is a unique place, its history is consciously preserved, and the tea room has everything for a perfect cuppa

Great hotel, sorry I don't have more pictures of the room. What matters to me was the room and bathroom was clean and very comfortable. The staff was attentive, pleasant, and efficient. The vallet is worth the money since parking can be very difficult to find and rather costly. If you plan ahead and call at least 15 minutes before you need your car they should have it waiting for you (I didn't have to wait once). The hotel is in prime location to everything and very easy to come and go.
I wouldn't bother, take the time to read the other reviews and don't take the chance. I was bait-and-switched at this hotel. I booked 2 nights in a city view upgraded room that included a bit of additional space. I read the reviews and decided to not worry about the few negative ones as some of these things just happen. I specifically added in the notes when booking that we'd be a late arrival, in hopes that checking in would be simple and fast, something that has never been a problem in any other hotel. When we arrived around 10pm we were greeted by Alexandra and told our room "was not available and was sold to another guest" and she no longer had any comparable rooms to offer. She then offered a standard room instead and mentioned she could not adjust the rate to reflect that I would be in a standard room and that I'd have to speak to a manager the following day only to be told yet again that nothing could be done for me and that the rate would not be adjusted. It seems that because I was offered a special when booking the room that my booking was not important or costly enough for them to keep which is a slap on the face on the first night of a long trip. To add insult to injury, we were given a room with a garage view so close to us that I could make out the faces of the drivers as they drove by so forget opening your curtains. Save your money and go to Marriott. Besides this, the room was clean, Balthazar (manager) was kind and understanding and the location is convenient.

The experience definitely matches the pricetag here. Views in the photos are from room 415 and from the outdoor seating area one floor up. If you want a good home base near everything in Seattle this is an excellent choice. Beds are extremely comfortable, bathrooms are exquisite. Every employee seemed like they were happy to be there and were more than happy to help. It was so nice to walk out of the room in the morning and grab breakfast and coffee real quick from local shops, although room service breakfast is an option. Valet was quick and easy and definitely the best option if you have a vehicle. We were assisted with our luggage from bumper to doorstep. Thank you for a great stay!
Note: I am not letting the $25 amenity fee color my impression of the hotel/room itself. Extra fees are becoming the norm in big cities, and it's something we have to deal with.

Review: This was my first time staying here and the room and hotel was absolute wonderful. I was not driving, so parking and valet service did not apply to me. The check in went very smooth, everyone was extremely prompt and polite. The room itself was modern and beautiful, with expected ammonites of (2) robes, slippers, coffee machine, refrigerator, blow dryer, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom was large and well appointed, and the walk shower was really spacious, and the water pressure was good and hot. The king sized bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. My room view was to the north and slightly to the west and was fairly good considering this is a midrise hotel in the heart of downtown. I highly recommend the Charter Hotel, and look forward to my next stay there!

Hotel is in a fantastic location. Great historical building. Rooms look clean but dated. The room is dark which isn’t my style. the only small window facing a wall didn’t help. More lighting would be great. The bathroom is painfully small, the queen size bed was terrible (you feel every movement by other person), and the ac was loud and annoying. Thin walls as we could hear every conversation in the room next to us. Showers do get hot but has antiquated controls.

Biggest surprise was after reading all of the high ratings about service that our check-in experience was completely underwhelming. The front desk person didn’t seem very polished and was just short of being unfriendly. He was abrupt and unwelcoming. Housekeeping uses radio to communicate and has it on full volume which is super annoying if you are taking a nap.
Overall service was not great. Not sure I would bother coming back.
Great room, loved the steam and exercise areas. Very clean and food was great. The 20% gratuities are automatically added and that was a bit of a surprise to find out we had actually been tipping a total of 40%, so we weren’t too thrilled with that. Overall, the location is prime and the room was very comfortable. Maid service is something you need to reserve ahead of time if you want it.

This hotel is so nice!! The bed is SO comfy. The pillows are actually nice. The linens are soft and the duvet is fluffy. There's a whiskey bar, steakhouse, and another restaurant that serves breakfast.

I could not be happier with my stay. The views on the 38th floor are so cool I could sit in the window watching Elliot Bay boats and ships all day.

This is the nicest Hyatt I've ever been to.

The only con is that the coffee in the restaurant is not good and their espresso machine was broken.
When I called around 7:15pm to make a reservation, the hotel phone wasn't working (I learned this later) so I walked over around 8:30pm to inquire about vacancy. A kind employee informed me that he didn't have access to keys and so I probably couldn't reserve a room. He recommended I check a nearby hotel and return, at which point he may have keys. When I returned, I began to open the front door as before, but a woman loitering nearby began questioning me without identifying herself. I explained my situation, then she looked me up and down and said "you know how much we charge, right?" When I replied "yes" she told me the price as if she hadn't heard me respond. Moreover, the price she quoted was incorrect, even after accounting for taxes and fees. I determined she was the owner and still she stood staring at me without offering help or information. I began to walk up to the front desk to find the employee I had spoken to previously. It became clear that keys were now present, but I was not to stay due to some judgment the owner made about me. I can only guess. After talking with people at the hotel, seeing the inside of the building, and reading other reviews, I am glad I did not stay.
I want to start this off by thank Gary at the front desk! He made a last minute accommodation for my son who has autism. This trip was supposed to be a quick getaway for me and my wife. We decided last minute we wanted to bring our son, Gary was absolutely phenomenal. When I tell you the best customer service, I’ve experienced I mean the best. He moved us to a quiet area upgraded our room, gave my son a toy! I’m just blown away, and so grateful. Then we get to our room and just absolutely beautiful! The service here is A+ rating! The guy in the club showed us where to get nonalcoholic beer, which was a huge win since I quit drinking two years ago! The view is amazing, the walk is perfect. I felt safe my family felt safe and we are happy to say this is definitely an amazing experience! We will be back Seattle! Thank you again, Gary!

I didn’t have the best view, but the large bathroom made up for it! From the check-in to check-out, I had a wonderful experience. This hotel was conveniently located near the conference I was attending which was very nice. The hotel was within walking distance of many points of interest. It’s a short 20-25 minute car ride to the airport. There is a Starbucks and deli located on the first floor. I also really appreciated the complimentary bottles of water!
The Panama Hotel staff are so nice and accommodating. They really helped me and my friend while we were visiting look after our luggage. Mike is wonderful and I’m so glad I got to meet the lovely staff of this hotel and will definitely have to stay here for the night in the future. Thanks mike!
It's my second review for that location. After the intervention of management and making everything straight, I do appreciate that.
Yes, 5 stars for all performances up to Marriott standards.

We booked a table for brunch but we received the breakfast menu! The server was totally off! It took him longtime to get our orders. The food came with long delay! And we couldn’t ask for more services because the server wasn’t showing up. It wasn’t our first experience in the restaurant but we got horrible services this time! And they already charged us for a Big tip for their bad services.

This hotel is in The Best location for walking right outside for Pikes Place Market, lots of restaurants, waterfront and more. Staff were very professional and friendly. Room was clean and well equipped with all you could want. Best views from rooftop sitting areas. Easy walk to so many fun places.
Recently updated, clean and comfortable rooms. The bar is nice, good food. Not in a great area but since it is the airport hotel, clean, quiet rooms, full service and a regular free shuttle are more important.
Thompson is a beautiful modern hotel. The single king bedroom is spacious and luxurious. Bathroom looked high-end and was in excellent condition upon arrival. The bathroom had large shampoo/conditioner/ shower gel for use that could’ve probably last months. The washes also smelled incredible. I had multiple questions for the front desk throughout my stay and the front desk was always kind and helpful. The valet had excellent service as well offering to keep my bags after checkout so I could explore the city and called me a cab to the airport which was cheaper than Uber at the time (the cab has a flat rate to the airport from the hotel). I did not get the chance to visit the rooftop bar but I heard incredible things about the view from the top from multiple people. The hotel is within walking distance to Pike place and the pier. They also offer $5 off your stay (I believe per night) if you place the sign to “conserve” outside the door by the morning to skip cleaning services. To use the elevator you need a key card so random people can’t go onto the hotel room floors. Overall, I would stay here again.

Loved our experience here. We were here for my partner's birthday, they were very accommodating throughout the entire experience. They even left us a little birthday cake in the room when we checked in.

Pool was nice and warm. We were lucky enough to have it mostly to ourselves in the evening, as it was a bit chilly outside. View was beautiful at night.

Location wise, this hotel was perfect. Very close to touristy things, but easy to get out of the area if needed.

Definitely will stay here again for our next Seattle trip.
The hotel is very beautiful. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the beds are the best and most comfortable! The car service is amazing. Our vehicle was brought to us promptly!
Hotel staff were the best! The man at the front desk gave a quick and easy check in process, the young lady at the desk was the sweetest, and to Sebastian, for valet, to go out of his way to help us with the tour guide to find and us and stored our luggage after checkout. Hotel rooms were clean, and you can tell it was recently renovated. The beds, however, were definitely not comfortable. Location is great, and it was connected directly to the Westlake Shopping Center, but the alarms at night from the city are a bother when you are trying to sleep.
I am a simple creature. See cat - love place.
But in all seriousness the service was great, tea was flavorful, pastries were fresh. We were let in earlier for tea which we were very grateful for.
I appreciate that the owner fosters the visitor's love of MiuMiu, and the history of this hotel.
Awesome staff , beautiful clean rooms, amazing steam room and sauna, two peloton bikes plus other fitness equipment, pool and hot tub! They surprised me with the most delicious birthday cake, amazing view of Elliot bay, close to pike market and other amazing food and coffee spots ! Goldfinch the restaurant bellow is delicious !
I rarely leave a review for a hotel, but the experience here was perfect in every capacity. Located in the perfect proximity to everything you'd ever want to do in the heart of downtown, the staff overall was absolutely fantastic. The rooms are spotless and ridiculously comfortable. I've paid a ton more for a ton less all over the country, and absolutely cannot wait to come back again.
Quiet hotel in a great location, loved being able to walk to downtown, anywhere in Chinatown, and the water easily. The shower situation is a little sketchy (one private shower shared between the guests) but for the price it’s worth putting up with. Very convenient having the coffee shop below for a quick breakfast before hitting the city for the day. The owner and staff are very pleasant and friendly and told us all about the hotels history as well as introduced us to the cafe cat (very cute if you can find her).
Lovely hotel, great staff! The rooms are huge and thoughtfully decorated! A separate sitting area could be closed off with curtains so that one person could sleep and another could stay up late. Wish we could have stayed longer here!
I have not stayed at the hotel. I am only reviewing the tea house.

The tea is great. Flavorful and high quality. If you order steeped tea, you'll get a free refill.

The baked goods range from good to great. My favorite was the chocolate chip cookie.

The barista, Luis, is the best barista I've ever seen. He is incredibly friendly and considerate towards customers in so many little ways and manages long lines with aplomb. The owner has a one in a million employee.

The venue is rich in history and has an old time-y charm. Seating is spacious between the two floors. There are ample and varied reading materials. I enjoyed their book on World War II.

There is a friendly resident cat you can pet, Mewmew, who is usually happy to receive attention.

You can’t beat this place for location! Rooms were clean and lovely. We got upgraded to a better view because we were like 10 minutes early to check in so that was nice. Staff was very friendly. We didn’t park on-site, we parked at a garage about a 1/2 mile away because it was way cheaper. Overall a lovely stay. Will bring my whole family next time!
Stayed here before the departure of a cruise. Nice comfortable spacious room. Great location. Walking distance to Pikes Place Market and the Space Needle. After the cruise they held our luggage for the day while we waited for our flight.
I stayed here during a crazy busy weekend in Seattle and the staff was AMAZING! The room was very clean and the bed was so comfy and cozy. I highly recommend this hotel and will be visiting again on my next trip to Seattle.

Very convenient location in the market being walking distance to several attractions. The view from the rooftop was very nice. Lobby was a reasonable size. Staff were friendly and attentive. They held our luggage at check in u til our room was available which was helpful.
Stayed at the Hotel Monaco with my golden retriever on August 9, 2023. When I arrived it was a little confusing where to park as there was no parking allowed in the vicinity and the valet was no where in site. After driving around a few times I just stopped in front of the hotel and waited until the valet came out. They could not drive a manual, but were able to find another employee that could. The staff was great and greeted my dog and me with enthusiasm. The room was nice and the thermostat could be adjusted to a cooler temperature that was good for my dog. After a good night at a dog event, it was a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, in the morning I was deeply disappointed. I made my decision to stay at the Hotel Monaco because of my past experiences with Kimpton Hotels, the hotel being pet friendly, and the availability of room service for breakfast. I pressed the room service button on the room phone and waited for someone to answer for quite some time. When answered I said I would like to order room service and was told that that was not an option. I asked if I could bring my dog to the restaurant and was told only service dogs are allowed. This was a disappointment as the hotel's website indicates "In-room dining will still be available until 10:00 p.m. each night from Outlier (the hotel restaurant)." It was the main reason I stayed there because it is difficult to find a place to eat breakfast with a dog. The location of this hotel is not relatively close to food options in the morning. After getting off the phone with the restaurant, I made the decision to checkout as quick as possible and head to south Seattle where I knew I could get a bite to eat with the company of my dog.

Staff were great, room was clean, lobby is beautiful, fairly dog friendly with the exception of availability of food options with your pet.
Would never recommend this location to anyone. My room wasn’t ready until past 6pm, and the staff could care less. I stay all around the world (76 nights already just in Marriotts this year). The great room renovations doesn’t make up for lack of service and massively over priced restaurant. The lounge is sorry to say, pathetic and not thought out at all. The location is the only benefit. You can pay $300 a night for a hotel downtown with a beautiful view where you don’t get stuck in a corner dark room, or moved to a room with a view of…. the roof. Not how a titanium member should be treated or anyone honestly.
Well, this hotel isn’t Thompson quality. Go and stay at the Hyatt Regency few blocks away. It”s a much newer and nicer hotel to stay, especially if you are a Hyatt Globalist. (We stayed at both hotels on our trip.)
Cons: Hallway is dark. One elevator did not work. The other one broke down during our stay. There is always a long line at the elevator to go up or down. I actually saw someone walked up many floors in the staircase with their luggage because they were tired of waiting for the elevator. The roof top bar is popular and they have a lot of private events, so you can”t really enjoy it. When they have private event, your key won’t get you to the roof and the elevator wait gets worse. Room is small. I received a notice in the Hyatt app that my room was upgraded because of my Globalist status. After I checked in, my room had a giant column blocking most of the window. I asked the front desk to change room and they told me they were sold out. I checked the app afterward and guess what…. Rooms were available! The gym is very small and lacks updated equipment.
Pro: the location is near Pike Place market, so that is a draw for a lot of people. Shower pressure was good. The valet guys were nice. Breakfast in the restaurant was good.
Needless to say, I would never come back here to stay. My stay at the Hyatt Regency was much more enjoyable.
This hotel is perfectly located if you want to be near Pike Place Market. The Market is literally right across the street. My wife and I were traveling with our adult daughters and it was the first time in Seattle for all four of us. The hotel has a phenomenal rooftop bar, but you need to make reservations ahead of time, as it is a very popular venue. The Nest rooftop bar Hostess was very pleasant. Service at this hotel was very good and only one experience in the restaurant kept us from giving 5 stars. Damian in housekeeping saved the day finding my daughters lost ring in the linens. Thank you Damian!! Gio at the door offered consistent service and solid directions. George at the concierge desk offered up multiple food and beverage options nearby. The Alibi Room was a solid recommendation. We had a 2 queen city view room and were disappointed to find out the room had no dresser drawers. Given the price of the rooms it didn't feel right living out of the suitcases for four days. Also, the tub shower combo took me by surprise. The amenities and decor were modern but the rooms could have been cleaner. If you decide to stay here I hope they get their elevator issues handled before your stay.
Absolutely fantastic 4 night stay at Hotel Andra! The chic decor, top-notch service, and prime downtown Seattle location, just steps away from Pike Place Market and the Waterfront, made exploring the city a breeze. The valet parking was convenient, adding to the seamless experience. We will definitely return if we find ourselves back in the Seattle area!
We absolutely loved staying at Inn at the Market during our visit to Seattle. The location is unbeatable and the hotel itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. We had a water view room on the top floor and the vista from our window was spectacular. We really appreciated the willingness of the staff to let us check in early and store our bags while we explored the city on our first and last days. Will definitely return next time we are in Seattle!
Staff is incredibly sweet and the hotel is clean and well organized. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Seattle. The greeters were pretty much playing a game to see who could get the door for me first the whole night! 😆 loved my stay and will definitely be back
We, thoroughly, enjoyed our stay. The staff were outstanding.

A few notes that patrons of this hotel may find helpful:
VEHICLE loading & unloading is, LITERALLY, in the LEFT TURN LANE of the street…cars will be buzzing past you in the next lane, and going around you to access the left turn lane. The street space at the curb is a bicycle ONLY lane.

You will not be permitted to park your own vehicle; it is valet ONLY, which will cost you $70ish A NIGHT.

If you would like a microwave and/or coffee maker in your room, ask at check-in.

You will NOT have daily room service! If you want your room cleaned, daily, request that at check-in.

Our rooms did not have wall mounted televisions, so surface space was limited, especially, after receiving our microwave & coffee maker set up.

There was only one chair in our room, so eating comfortably or socializing were out of the question. Upon our return from Pike, we asked a front desk representative if we could converge on the lobby to enjoy our delectable delights and he was all for it! We set up in front of the fireplace and enjoyed a lovely evening eating, drinking and talking…cleaned up behind ourselves, then retired to our rooms.
There is a lot to like about the Grand Hyatt, the location is great. Right downtown, right near the convention center and walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. The service was great! Everyone was friendly and quick to help. They were willing to watch my luggage on the day I checked out until my meeting finished in the afternoon.

My cons have to do with style and my room, style wise - everything just felt dark. When I first walked into the lobby, I wondered if they were having lighting issues because it seemed cavernous and dark. My room was much the same. It was comfortable, and everything worked as expected (the bathroom was a highlight), but again, dark wood, dark walls, dark furniture, dark floors, and dark curtains.

I certainly would stay again, but I'm not sure if I'd use the adjective "grand."
If I could go less than one star I would. I went with my family to Seattle on vacation and the day before we left, we booked this hotel. We had a four person room booked and guess what? Then sold it to another person. This infuriated me as I had already booked the room. And as an insult to injury, I did not get any compensation. We got a 2 person room with a pity excuse for a couch and a portable bed that felt like cardboard. I would have recommended it to anyone but this was unacceptable. Also, the service was terrible. It took them until midnight to get us more towels. Do not go here unless you want to pay for an overpriced room and not get what you paid for.
Visited the hotel Andra in July, and we THOUGHT we had a reservation. The hotel staff waited as we rifled through papers, text, emails, and phone calls looking for our reservation information. Let me just say that the young lady and man were exceptionally great customer service representatives for the Andra. When we realized we made a mistake and didn't book the room, they literally looked for available rooms and we were able to make a one night reservation as we were on our way to Hawaii the next morning. The hotel is in a great location walking distance to the waterfront. In a downtown area. This is a five-star hotel, and it presents itself this way. We were offered a junior suite. The view was of the city area and that was fine, I love the night lights. The room had a separate bar/sink area to make and serve your drinks, spacious sitting area with large swivel TV and comfortable chairs. It also has a separate makeup area, so you're not bumping elbows with your significant other in the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable, laid down, and we were out for the count. I am most impressed with the staff. They made a stressful moment turn into a great evening. Parking on the street, so you may have to spend some time looking for parking. The lounge area is spacious with fireplace for ambiance even the hallways and elevators have a aire of luxury. There was a bar located in a section close to the lounge area.
Like a lot of hotels, they’re not providing daily housekeeping services. Breakfast service wasn’t fast; but the food was good. Overall a nice stay. Enjoyed the old-school pinball arcade downstairs from the lobby.
All around nice quality hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. The front desk service was simple and fast and we had no issues. We made the mistake of walking there from the airport because we were in a rush but we learned there are specific shuttle buses to the airport that leave from the hotel every 15m on the dot.
Nice enough I guess. Not so great of a location. Lots of homeless and all around crazies. No microwave in the rooms.( Even a Super 8 has a microwave oven). I would not recommend it for anyone who is not fit. Walking was doable maybe one way to Pikes but the hills back are murderous. The Staff was friendly. I wouldn't go back just because it wasn't what we wanted. No great restaurants, no easy convenience stores. Everywhere we ate was expensive. I have stayed at other places cheaper that had more to offer.
Great airport hotel - very comfortable room and bed. Shuttle was great, every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. I stayed twice (beginning and end of a trip) - and saw some differences. Reception was weak one time (employee was barely alive) and was great the other time. I am Marriott Platinum and was upgraded to the club access, the one time it was closed for some reason so I received full breakfast for two in the restaurant which was great (omelet station, selection of food, service). The other time I went to the club for breakfast - was ok at best, limited food selection, club is not "comfy", no arm chairs or couches, not a place you would hang out for a few hours to kill time. The selection of soda and water was nice to take to your room.
Shuttle drivers are very helpful with luggage.

Note - I did not explore the local area and there was no event going on in the open area while I was there.
This was our first visit to Seattle, and we loved this hotel. It does a great job of appearing historic without being dated. Maintenance and cleanliness were perfect. The staff were great. The door attendants took our suitcases in and showed us to the front desk. The reception desk staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Room Service was fast, and the breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable, and the bed linen was good. The only complaint about the room might be that the shower head was mounted pretty low for a tall person. Overall, the Mayflower Hotel was a wonderful experience.

If I could give more than 5 stars for the location of the Hotel. Located in Centre of the City, convenient for everything from shopping, public transits and only few steps away from Monorail and Link light rail stations which lead to main tourist destinations of Seattle. Only couple Blocks walk to waterfront with so many interesting things to see. Staffs are very Friendly and Helpful. Love the lobby area with fresh flower display and beautiful arrangement of furniture. I Absolutely recommend Mayflowers
IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME. Staying here, I can here Cher singing. The hotel that time forgot. This is convenient, only if you need access to the airport and back. The shuttle leaves every 15 minutes so timing is not much of an issue. The exterior is old and tired. The interior seems older and more tired. The fitness club, if your looking, is smack dab in the middle of the interior football field sized area that you could easily place another hotel. The restaurant is severally overpriced but that bar is POPPING. It is always packed and loud. Now to the important stuff, The boom boom in your room room. These are actually 5 stars in my opinion. Clean, modernized and spacious. The showers are great and the mattress comfy.
This is a beautiful hotel and the location is great if you want access to Pike Place or other downtown attractions. The valet parking could take some time, depending on how busy things are. I wish they had more parking spaces out front for drop off, but once a spot opened up, the valet service was great. They made sure to unpack all of our bags and helped us carry huge, heavy luggage to our room very quickly. The room was very comfortable and had a lot of nice design features. Depending on your room location, you might get a bit of noise from the street.
If you can afford this place then do it. Amazing customer service, the look and feel of the place is top notch and has great ambiance, the room we stayed in was really spacious, quiet, and all amenities were spot on. Literally the only complaint I have is nobody came to refresh our towels (probably a timing issue with us being in the room) and that the refrigerator was already packed with drinks so we couldn't fit our beer we brought. Otherwise it was amazing and you should stay here.
Stayed here for one night with my partner. I really enjoyed our stay because the hotel does have a feeling of luxury at a decent price. The room was clean and beautifully furnished. It is supposed to be Nordic-style furnishing. The bed was so comfortable. Location is also prime with Pike Place nearby and so many bars within walking distance. Personally, I think this style hotel is best for people staying no longer than a couple days. There isn’t a fridge that can hold any level of groceries, and the parking is valet and a bit pricey. I really enjoyed my time here, but if you are looking for a place to stay for 3 nights or more, you might want a different type of hotel.
Fantastic hotel in a great part of town! Our car was parked for us and retrieved quickly when we needed it. The staff were great and available whenever we needed absolutely anything. Sharon was really the absolute best and took so much time to answer all of our questions. The one thing you will not find at this hotel is the option of having food delivered to your room, so if this is a deal breaker for you this may not be the right place. The property is clean, hotel spacious, and Lola’s restaurant attached has delicious food. We can’t wait to stay here again when we return to Seattle!
