On this occassion I give them a 4/5.
I encourage everyone to be clear about what they want at the beginning, speak up during and work with the hairdresser until they're content. On this occassion I finally did and I was genuinly content with the final result. I went in to get a trim and long layers.
Hairdressers could stand to be much gentler but I'll mention it more next time. It would be good if they were more vocal about the steps too and check-in with clients.

The hairdressers knew exactly what I wanted them to do and was very professional. They were kind and friendly and practice good customer service throughout my consultation. I was offered a hot or cold drink. I would definitely recommend this salon to my friends,and I will definitely be going back. My hair looked wounder I felt like a million dollars. I've been to Morells of Brockley 5 times now, and each visit has been a delightful experience. My hair has become healthier, thanks to their expert care and the valuable tips they've shared with me. The woman cutting my hair was so nice and did an amazing job! They also are part of the little princess trust scheme and donate their time. Defo recommend it :)

On my first appointment here a year ago I was mostly happy with the service and treatment I received, for my first couple of appointments they used to take time to throughly wash and apply treatments, parting my hair and applying it to my scalp, talking me through the service etc and giving proper blow drys at the end.

However things quickly declined and it seemed to get worse and worse after each appointment. There always seemed to be someone new or being trained and on one occasion a trainee stylist took nearly two hours to blow dry my hair, with no apology or anything at the end, if your going to be treated by a trainee there should be some warning and the price should also reflect this.
On the other hand most of my recent appointments I’ve felt as though the service has been very rushed and they’ve been understaffed. On my last appointment I was left feeling very dissatisfied, after informing the hairdresser/owner that I had just taken out my weave before the appointment, my hair was only shampooed once (this was definitely not enough) and then the treatment was applied quickly with what felt like no care, and I was put under the steamer, without the chair adjusted so my whole face was put under without anyone noticing until I called attention to it lol. I then had a trim and my hair was not sectioned at all, it was literally done in 2 mins, this is in contrast to times I’ve had my hair trimmed in previous appointments where time was taken to properly section off my hair and go through each section. Then to top it off my hair was blow dried in 5 mins, it felt very rushed and honestly I could of done a better job myself at home.

I find this salon to be very inconsistent and for the prices they charge it’s just really not worth it. There hasn’t been much change to my hair after consistently attending appointments here every month for a year, there’s no luxury feel, refreshments have never been offered to me at any appointment and the stylists are not very friendly tbh.

So happy with my service, honestly so over the moon with my hair. My stylist was Chloe and she was amazing. I’d highly recommend this salon to anyone that wants perfect results :)

Coming here was like opening a can of worms.

I initially came to Morells because I wanted an easier commute nearer to me in South London, to visit a hairdresser who was more professional and had decorum, unfortunately this was not the case.

When you come to Morells you have to undergo their treatment plan which will be accessed based on your hair type e.g you have your 1st treatment then another 2 weeks after, then 3, 4, 5 and then 6 weeks after, which in my opinion is a big scam. After you complete their "treatment plan" you are then allowed to have their regular services, e.g. wash and blow dry, silk press, relaxer, colour, highlights etc

The owner is anti grease and oils and insistent that you do not use any on your hair and to rely on your hairs naturals oils and sebum to moisturise and hydrate your hair. I expressed many times the treatment wasn't effective and that my hair was often dry, but the owner would brush it off and say my hair was "normal" when it really wasn't. What really grates me is when I was speaking to her about it in the salon there was a trainee she was teaching, and the owner spoke about me in my presence and said "sometimes the client is used to product sitting on their hair", completely dismissing my concerns. I also didn't like being used as a guinea pig for trainees at times, it was totally unnecessary to be speaking about issues like dandruff and how to lift it and treat it out loud in front of other clients. On the 4th week she said "you have to really think about why you're coming here if its not working" after booking me in for appointments, why bother taking my money, and convince me when you think these treatments aren't suitable for me then?

When I got home and readjusted my hair I noticed that the nape was very short, and my overall hair was damaged, very choppy, uneven with a lot of dead and see through ends despite having a trim at the same salon a month ago and in comparison to before I came here. I was so shocked at how drastically different it looked compared to last month, it looks even worse than before I started coming to the salon. I felt hurt that a hairdresser would let me walk out with my hair so damaged/uneven and not even notice or address these issues.

Apart from that the service was unprofessional at times and I felt like a nuisance and inconvenience there. For example I put myself on the wait list for an earlier appointment time a whole 4 weeks before my appointment, and I was called less than 2 hrs before my scheduled time on the very same day to come early as they would be too busy to do my hair if I came later. They use different trainees a lot which bothers me, one time a girl washed a blew out my hair which is unacceptable as she isn't a professional at all yet their prices don't reflect it, it may also be one of the reasons why my hair is damaged, too many people in your hair is never good! On my last visit the hair stylists were wearing slides in the salon, which is unsanitary, they also have a tendency to gossip/talk amongst themselves and make you wait a lot at each appointment.

I spent over £500 in just 2 months here only to have my hair severely damaged, with no results which will have to be addressed elsewhere. I'm really upset and regret coming here and giving everything a chance, the whole ordeal was counter productive and traumatising and has just ruined my year. The fact that the owner thinks oils and greases which have been used in Africa for centuries are "bad" for our hair is a dead giveaway not to go. I would not recommend Morells they are just rude, unprofessional, untrustworthy and don't know a thing about black hair, spend your money elsewhere!

I had a great experience with this salon. Firstly, the communication via email and phone was clear and timely even before the appointment. Secondly, the service was done in a nice professional manner. I had a free haircut for Little Princess Trust. My stylist (also the person who booked me in) was Eve. I kindly asked her from the beginning to be careful at 2 moles around the cutting area (one on the scalp and one on the neck). She was understanding and gentle, combed my hair nicely and then carefully prepared the braids for LTP. She explained to me the steps that I need to take in order to send them to LTP. The final haircut is a stylized layered bob.
We also had a nice conversation so that's always a plus.

I recommend this salon and its services.

I've always been a fan of Morells and heard great things about it. I finally went in for a wash, blow, treatment and press. Great service, clean and well presented salon. It oozes bougie, and the hair stylists including the owner Sabrina, are warm, friendly and accommodating. Very attentive and they genuinely care about providing a good quality, professional service. This hairdressers is more on the costly side, but the quality of the service, products they use, hair knowledge, and upmarket nature of salon reflect the prices.

Will be returning again very soon. :)

Having been in SE4 for 22 year's, I cannot believe I have not been here before. The salon is so friendly, warm and welcoming and the hairdresser, Daisy, is amazing. So talented - a real eye for what suits you. She takes her time in analysing your hair type, consults you with idea's and really thinks about what would look best. I have not liked my hair as much as this before. Highly recommend this salon.

Trying to find a trustworthy hairdresser and salon is sometimes like finding a needle in the haystack however my experience today was beyond five stars !!
I was early for my consultation appointment but I was seen straight away which is rare. Kelly Anne spoke with me to find out more about my hair routine, condition, and she was knowledgeable about what I needed to do and explained how the treatments would work. After having my hair washed I was under the dryer and almost fell asleep it was so calming !!. David did my blow dry and trim along with lots of jokes and advice.
I'm so glad I decided to give Morells a try - the professionalism, knowledge, banter, and relaxed atmosphere are the perfect combinations of a salon that really care about hair health. I'll be back in a few weeks for my next treatment 😉

I have been having my hair cut at the Rise for a few years now and have always been really happy with the results. I recently got my hair cut by Sibel and she did such a fantastic job - it looked amazing on the day and I’ve been getting loads of compliments on it in the weeks since. She took the time to really understand what I wanted, and to blow dry and style it in a particular way. I also got a treatment and the products were great. Sibel and all of the rest of the staff are really friendly, attentive and talented. Highly recommend!

Great hair salon. They have extensive knowledge of hair and the scalp and how to care for them. It is a very friendly atmosphere and very welcoming. The products are excellent. Most of all they really care about your hair and how important it is to care for it and feel great doing so. I highly recommend them.

I got my hair done about a month ago with Grace and I can safely say this is the best cut and colour I have had in years. Im so happy with the results and can't wait to go back, thank you so much for such a great cut and colour.

The hairdresser is lovely and the salon is very clean. Beware if you're thinking of doing a silk press and want your hair to revert! I got a silk press a couple of months ago and ever since unfortunately my hair hasn't been the same. A lot of my ends has been heat damaged.

You would think I got heat damage from my hair being straightened. But it was definitely from the hairdresser blow drying my hair prior to the silk press. The blow dryer was very powerful and hot to the point that my hair was already bone straight ( this has never happened to me as my hair is 4c and very coily). Also, because I was surprised how straight it was, I tried running my hand through, but couldn't as it was incredibly hot ( I promise I'm not exaggerating)!

If you want to have a silk press and want your hair to revert back to your natural curls, I highly suggest that you check another salon.

Needed an appointment locally to tidy up after growing out a bob. Was nervous to try a new place but needn’t have worried. Lindsay was very patient, listened and did exactly what I asked for and then whipped my hair into this lovely style..teaching me something new to handle the longer style. Thank you, you’ve made be braver to try a longer look! Will be back!

As a Mum in her mid 30s, so many of my previous stylists just played it safe, but Mum’s can be trendy too! Chloe is so knowledgeable, listens to what you want and is able to create fashion forward looks that also suit my age and lifestyle ❤️ So glad I’ve found her!

Jacqui has been my hairdresser for approximately 10 years and I would never go anywhere else. When I first went to Jacqui my hair was damaged and breaking. Jacques has been my hairdresser for more than five years. She has always delivered the best care and standard known in hairdressing.

NEVER in the years that I have been to the shop have I heard a complaint from a customer, i know for a fact that if a customer was disatified with there hair Jacques would accommodate them no matter the problem.

I’ve had many hairdressers over the years, but no one knows and cares for my hair like Jacques does, which is why I’ve been going to Jacques Hair Design for over 15 years.

I’ve been going to Jacques Hair Design in Brockley for 4 years. I’ve previously spend thousands of pounds on other hair salons who’ve damaged my hair. But over the past 4 years I’ve been going regularly (fortnightly) to Jacqui for a treatment and aroesci top up (every 16 weeks) and my hair has grown! Significantly grown, it’s now past my shoulders.

Customers in her salon don’t understand why I wear a wig because my hair is so long.

I’m of Nigerian decent and my hair has always been short and tough and you’d never suspect that now. It’s still natural, shrinks when wet, but it’s glossy.

I can’t thank Jacqui enough for the care she’s given my natural hair especially as I’ve had such awful experiences with other hairdressers at other salons. When I take my wig off, and even if it blew off there would be no shame because I have lovely natural long hair now.

I have no idea why there’s a review with one star on here. Judging by the poor grammar and punctuation I suspect it’s a cheap customer who wants everything for nothing and doesn’t follow advice! Jacqui hasn’t steered me wrong once and I have the hair to prove it!

I have been going to Attractions for several years now. They are professional, helpful especially with ideas of haircuts. I really like them too as this is a very family friendly place. I have often had my young son with me and they are so good with him too.
They are so accommodating and their services are very reasonable.
I will always go to Attractions for a bit of pampering!

Paid 85 pounds for my hair to by dyed grey. They only put a toner on so it keeps washing out. They also didn't dye my hair blonde enough (another hair dresser told me this) and now my hair is a mix of grey purple and yellow. Incredibly not happy as I had to go back the next day because they did wrong and the outcome is still not great. I thought they was gonna dye it all grey! With a little bit of root showing but now my hair is basicly half brown then yellow then this purple blue grey yellow it is horrible. It's a shame as welll because they are all lovely

First time i stopped by she fitted me in and did a really good job for a decent price i was really impressed and a bonus it just around the corner from me. But unfortunely they dont open and close at the times stated on the shop door. They only open if they have enough appointments booked for that day. I tried to book and she wouldnt do it for then i tried to ring up few days later and got no answer. So will travel further out for more reliable customer servicer. If you do choose to go here make sure you give yourself enough time so your not racing around like me at the last minuet to get treatment else where before attending an event.

Got a Hollywood and half leg, the Brazilian waxer Paula was professional, friendly and efficient. Would recommend to friends and family. Lovely experience and great value.

I love this salon, I've always had a great hair cut from here and never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and strive to give you exactly the kind of style you want. Called in recently without an appointment, on the off chance and they were able to fit me in. Prices are very reasonable too, compared to other local salons, where the cut hasn't been as good as Attractions. Lovely to have such a great place on my door step!
