Great place to get your hair done, everyone is really nice 😊
Searched for a good colourist and stylist for years and then I found Wayne and HairStation29. Drive in from Ottawa just to see him. Best cuts and colours.
So clean and so good! Best salon in town, the staff are very professional! They make me satisfied and very happy, i will come back again❤
I asked for short and they just shaved my head, when I mentioned that is not what I asked for and that if I wanted a buzzcut I have a clipper at home, he ripped the apron off me and said very rudely I can finish it at home then…this was my worse experience at a hair salon in my life.
Wayne has been cutting/styling/highlighting my hair for years. No complaints. Friendly, & professional. The salon is bright & exceptionally clean.
I was in a couple days ago to get a balayage done and she told me I’d be charged one price that was affordable for me, and after she was done she charged me over $200. I am so shocked cause when my hair was curled it look somewhat similar to what I wanted, now with my hair straightened it looks nothing close to what I want. She said it would take a couple tries but I know people who can make it look like the picture in one day, I’m 19 almost 20 years old I work very hard for my money and to get something that’s not even a little close to what I want is very sad.. like all it shows is the money bangs and that’s it, very disappointing… first picture is what I wanted and the other two r what I got 😔 I’d like to get half if not all my money back cause I’m VERY disappointed..
If you'd like the haircut you had 30 years ago, this is definitely the place for you. The antithesis of trendy . Caters predominantly to the blue haired set.
I had an exceptionally uncomfortable run in with the co-owner Wayne Patrick. He had told me one price, then charged me half as much again. On a subsequent visit I politely tried to ask why the difference. He immediately became belligerent and distasteful.
Interesting approach to running a client centered business, - confrontational, aggressive manner, no apology.
My conclusion is that Hair Station 29 is "wiggly" (unpredictable, changeable) when it comes to pricing. I was told a price, and it was not honored. Buyer beware.

Perfect place to bring my 2 yr old granddaughter for her first haircut. You made it easy for her and she was very good. She was so happy you made her look more like a Princess.
Came in marginally happy with my hair. It required a light trim to even the length. I left in tears and have worn a silk scarf around my head since.

Staff are helpful and its a clean and well kept business. I have had many services done here and I love all of them
Absolutely loved my experience here , we are new to the area ! The salon was extremely clean, my daughter and I had great hair cuts and left feeling amazing . Sarah did a great job. Highly recommend.

I booked an appointment at this salon to get a blowout before getting professional headshots taken. Despite having an appointment booked, the stylist who was supposed to do my hair was in the beginning stages of a colouring job on another client. I was told she would be with me in 15 minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave because the stylist was nowhere near done with the other client and no other stylists offered to step in. I would not recommend using this salon if you're on a schedule or have anywhere to be afterwards.
My wife took our two young daughters in for hair cuts. Absolutely terrible!! I think they watched a couple YouTube videos on how to cut hair and now consider themselves experts. It looks like they're hair is cut with garden shears. Very disappointed.

Came in to get my nails done and wow what an amazing experience! Nicole took the time to make sure my nails were to my liking and had an eye for details. So happy to find a place that actually does gel nails! The whole team was lovely to deal with and I will be sure to recommend this place to everyone :)
I booked an appointment online for a manicure Friday for a Saturday wedding. Arrived on time for my appointment to be told " if no-one is available the appointment is pushed out 1 week. So disappointing that this is acceptable by a business.
Be aware of extra charge when you purchase a gift card!!! I gave a gift card as a gift and the only extra charge should be a tip. Wrong. They were charged extra for quick dry polish, which I have never beter charged before. And the one that got me was the charge for covid wipe down. Really you charge the customer for that? People are coming in to support you in hard times and you try to add on a charge like that. You need to post the extra charges and not spring them on the customer at the end and tell the person purchasing the gift card that extra charges may apply.
I booked an esthetician for my wedding party to do our make up the day of. The beach house was very accomadating and Emily did a fantastic job with the makeup. I was very appreciative to have someone come to the Nevis estate where we were staying.
This is the only place I go. Melissa has been the only person to do my hair for over 5 years. I first met her at another salon, and I followed her to her own business. She is the only person who was able to cover my grey efficiently, I have extremely resistant grey. I would ,and do recommend this salon to everyone.
This place was unbelievably rude to me. What I describe is rude, it is not an excuses to use the pandemic as a reason to not smile, not talking politely, and disrespect clients. Apologizing is about owning up to your mistakes, not making excuses for them. I wanted to book a massage with a gift card I received. I emailed to see if I could get a massage without a mask on, and they said no in a rude email to me. They did not offer any other option to spend the gift card. I drove 40 minutes to their location to shop in their store. I had a mask on and they would not let me inside, they made me stand in the rain while they interrogate me as to 'what I wanted'. I told them I wanted to buy candles/spa stuff I saw on their website. The women said they did not have that stuff and she did not know what I was talking about. Eventually she told me to go home and order what I wanted online and I could drive back another day to pick it up. If you want to be shunned by others this is the place to go.

After years of having the same stylist, on a whim I made an appointment with Sarah at Shear Perfection. I loved the cut she gave me as mine is not necessarily easy hair to work with. I went back to Sarah after the recent lockdown was lifted and loved this cut even more. It’s easy to manage and it really suits me. Sarah listens to the customer. I love my cut!

I have been a client of Sharon's for many years. I always look forward to each visit and I am consistently happy with the end result . The salon is a beautiful calming space. Sharon is talented beyond belief ! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree they say. Well, Mercedes has definitely been blessed with exceptional talent also. They are such an awesome team. Sharon and Mercedes were SUCH a delight. They took great precautions for Covid while still making my experience relaxing and enjoyable. Mercedes did a fantastic job on my hair — she really explained all my options to me in a way that helped me envision the final product, and she delivered! LOVE my hair!

What an amazing Mother/Daughter team!!! Sharon is a master hair stylist (been a client for years) —- taking the time needed to assess your hair and make thoughtful/practical suggestions based on your face shape and the time you have to maintain the style. Her cuts are precise and grow out beautifully. Along with being a hairstylist herself, Mercedes offers a variety of pampering services, in particular an AMAZING pedicure —- addressing your specific issues/needs . Her attention to detail is impressive —- when you walk out your feet feel soft and your piggies are polished to perfection;))).
Sharon is my go to hairdresser when I want the best colour and shape for my face. Her cuts grow out beautifully so you can go longer between cuts. She is honest and meticulous and a wonderful teacher about how to keep your hair looking its best. Highly recommend!

I don’t usually post reviews, but I had such a great experience, I thought I’d share. Michelle was so welcoming and gave me an excellent hair cut. I was a little vague about what I wanted , but Michelle was so professional and knew exactly what to do. I’m so happy with the cut and I’ll be going back to Shear Perfection for my next cut.

If you've been thinking about getting lash extensions, The Beach House is the place to go. The salon has a lovely atmosphere and the owner and staff are very friendly. They offer a wide range of services for beauty and wellness.
My technician was Olivia and she does amazing work. This was my first time for lash extensions and wasn't sure what to expect but Olivia made feel very comfortable! I'm so happy with my new lashes!!
