I’ve just moved back to the GC after living here for 35 years and knowing all the restaurants.

I ordered a kebab with salad, pineapple and a couple of other ingredients and the beef kebab only contained the basic salad

Stopped by the fab Kebab House after shopping yesterday lunchtime and had a snack pack. Handily stationed side of road on chevron for that quick arrival / get away.
Snack pack well marinaded and good combination of meat and sauce.

Kabin, stands out for their exceptional service as a server. His positive attitude and professional demeanor have consistently impressed me. Will come back to fab kebab again when i am back on the coast.

I never write bad reviews but this place really deserves one.
I'll start with the "service" - I'm not sure what was happening in this guys life but he certainly wasn't happy or friendly. He was wearing rubber gloves taking our order and handling money....same gloves were worn when he was making the food...I hate to think how long he had them on🤢

I ordered a gozleme for $16!!!! What actually came out was a squashed kebab. It was disgusting and the worst gozleme I have ever had.

Hopefully the owner can read this and educate his staff about customer service and hygiene.

My recent visit to Afghani Charcoal Kebab House left much to be desired. The hygiene was a concern, particularly the state of the restroom, which was quite dirty.

We ordered platters with lamb, chicken, and Qubuli. Surprisingly, all three dishes had the same rice base, and the Qubuli only had added grated carrots and raisins. The taste was below average and made us feel sick and bloated, leaving plates unfinished.

The restaurant's ambiance didn't help - old and untidy furniture, and the cutlery was of poor quality, with a cracked plate. The customer service lacked courtesy and smiles, making the overall experience quite disappointing.

Considering the prime location in Gold Coast, there's a real opportunity for the owners to improve the restaurant's standards and offer a better dining experience. Unfortunately, the current state doesn't do justice to the authentic Afghan cuisine they claim to serve.

In conclusion, my experience at Afghani Charcoal Kebab House was not up to par, and I won't be returning. I hope the management takes this feedback positively and works towards enhancing the quality and standards of their establishment.

Service was very bad. Food tastes like concrete I’m sorry but you need to improve a lot and very overpriced for the menu. Service extremely bad and needs improvement and very very hot and no air cons all of them broken. IMPROVE…

The Afghani Charcoal Kebab House truly impressed me with its great and fresh food! Each bite was bursting with flavour, and the quality of ingredients was exceptional. The inviting atmosphere and friendly staff added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. A definite five-star recommendation for those craving delicious Afghani cuisine!

Food was good but service was pathetic. Two waitresses and both sulking. They looked like there were forced into working at the restaurant. Waitress did not even take the order correctly and when asked about the remaining dish she rudely said there would be a wait. Ambience was not great either. We only came back to the restaurant as years ago we enjoyed the food and ambience. Won’t be coming back here. If you want to enjoy your food AND have a good time then avoid the place. Maybe if you are doing a take away then you should be fine.

The best meal for me is the charcoal chicken with rice and chill sauce. The rice is plain even with almost no salt and can't be eaten without the sauce. I don't like the Qabuila and the kebab with rice.

Brilliant food!!
We went in today to grab two of their mince lamb Kebab wraps. We got the basics with only lettuce and garlic sauce so we could see the quality of the meat. The meat was absolutely delicious and the taste of the charcoal really made it work. The guy who served us was really friendly and had great customer service skills.. For those reasons we really recommend this place if you want a great little feed.

We had the Mixed kebab and the meat was delicious. The staff are lovely and it is in a great location near the beach. I will come back for more.

The fries were extremely fresh but could hardly taste the chicken salt. The burger and the beef patty was delicious, tho the salad isn’t the freshest around closing times. The shop itself is welcoming and well done. The food served here is halal, would try it again.

Absolutely loved the HSP, portion size was massive and the staff were the absolute friendliest people ever! Definitely coming back here the next time I'm down from Melbourne 😄
