There’s no shortage of ice cream shops around Brunswick and Smith Streets and I intend on trying them all. At C9 I had a salted caramel thickshake for $13 and while it was nicely served in a hipster jar, there was nothing to really set it apart from the competition.

I recently visited C9 Chocolate & Gelato and had an absolutely delightful experience! The ice cream was incredibly tasty, with a rich and creamy texture that left me wanting more. The variety of flavors was impressive, and each one I tried was better than the last.
What truly stood out, however, was the excellent customer service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that every customer had a perfect experience. From helping with flavor recommendations to serving with a smile, their service was top-notch.
If you’re looking for a place with delicious ice cream and outstanding service, I highly recommend C9 Chocolate & Gelato. It’s a must-visit for any dessert lover

C9 in Fitzroy definitely do desserts right! Great pricing for what you order and all around a great dessert place. Unfortunately the site does not have toilets so that was a bit of a let down. Other than that again a great place for dessert

Highly recommend. We were on the hunt for an ice cream cake for a special celebration. The team here worked so hard to understand what we were after. They even jumped on a video call to show me the colours and flavours, and were very patient while we figured it all out. They ended up making it so easy and wonderful, we actually ended up ordering 2!! You can get the ice cream cakes personalised both in flavours and decoration and they went above and beyond to make it special and with such care. The recipient loved them and they were such a hit at the party. Delicious too!

I’ve been looking for a dessert place that has more than just ice cream and I’m so happy I found one! Prices were very reasonable and the presentation of everything 10/10. The Lava Cake Shake with the nutella syringe was to die for- I love the fact you can select your own gelato flavour to add to the shake too. Would definitely be visiting again

The food here is absolutely amazing!! My partner and I went in because we wanted a dessert and had found Twisted Dessert Bar on google, and we were very happy with the quality of the food and service! We both had a different kind of cheesecake and both were equally as good as each other. Also priced SUPER well for the portion sizes you get, especially being in Fitzroy which can be an expensive area. Would absolutely come back here again!

Visiting Melbourne from Brisbane. Came across this delightful place. My mouth was watering just looking at the menu. We decided on the pancake stack, coated croffle, Choc milkshake and iced latte. All delicious!

Bit expensive for my tastes, but I'm not from Melbourne, so maybe these are normal prices around here.

If you have a sweet tooth, this place is a must.

The sticky date pudding and strawberry cheesecake were so yummy! I also ordered a pavlova martini and enjoyed it very much.

Had the lemon cheesecake which came with a strawberry cream on top. Large portion and it was very good quality. The perfect rich, dense texture you’d expect from a cheesecake and the crumb topping on the bottom was also quite thick which I enjoyed. There was a bit in the middle that had more of a lemon custard which was unexpected but also good!

Ordered three deserts and two lattes. The food was amazing, almost half the
price of pancake parlour for a better variety and great quality. No way could we eat it all.

The staff were super lovely and exceptionally chipper. Definitely coming back again.

This place is amazing. Such a random amazing find. We had the lemon cheesecake. Light and delicious. 10/10. Donut pudding. Exactly as described. 10/10. We will be back ASAP to try the menu. Beautiful.

Loved it! Been wanting to try for a while but could never get parking around their Fitzroy branch at night. Had the brownie smackdown with coffee gelato.
Also had the pandan, mango and black sesame gelato and bubblegum flavour for the kids.

Loved the coffee gelato best as it had a strong coffee flavour unlike other places. Brownie was nice and goes well.
They are flexible and u can swap the flavours on the menu if u don't want the combo offered.
They also do alcoholic and liquor in their gelato desserts. Will try the Tiramisu next time.

Decisions are difficult at this temple of indulgence!
We settled on the biscoff cronut ‘smackdown’, & a white choc macadamia ‘brownie boy’ shake.
Both were sensational, although the cronut was quite soft & dry compared to, say, the crunchy coating & warm buttery inner layers of the Dominique Ansel NY original.
The brownie was a little dry & crumbly on its own, compared to the fudge-y texture I’m familiar with, but tasted delicious mixed into the shake.
We’ll definitely be back for more!

I loved this restaurant! We got the Pavlova, Butterscotch cheesecake, caramel milkshake, and chai latte, all of them were amazing! Really good service, they explain the desserts and the place very nice. Btw the pavlova and the cheesecake were massive, so huge 😍

Popped in because I was walking past and wanted a coffee and it is one of the only places open later for coffee! Ended up ordering from the menu too and was blown away by how amazing it was. New York cheesecake was DELICIOUS, so creamy, smooth, rich and the portion was huge, topped with a strawberry, sauce and chocolate biscuit crumbs. Really loved it!!! Cake only cost $8 so very good value. Coffee was okay but milk texture could be improved. My partner had the pecan slice and it was good but could be improved with roasted pecans and maple syrup flavour. Only 4 stars because the toilets were not clean and the seating areas also could be cleaner. With those improvements this would be a 5 star spot! Staff friendly and something for everyone on the menu. Love the later opening hours. Thanks so much! 🍰

What an awesome range of desserts to satisfy sweet tooth cravings! We came by on a Tuesday night and indulged in Apple Pie Cheesecake, Yuzu Meringue Tart and Chocolate Crepe with Banana. The scrumptiously sinful, rich and intense flavours were offset by refreshing tea served in gorgeous teapots.

The friendly owner was happy to have a chat. They did well to survive Covid lock downs and today, they have many fans judging by the ratings.
