The trails are nice and the store has lots of items for the bird lover. The rescue center is no longer open to the public. You can see their research Ed great horned owl and kestral along the trail. The only downside is there were many areas and lookouts that were closed for repairs.
Amazing place, feels almost historic. There's much depth to what is there. Gives an impression of well organized. Beware: the road there feels dangerous at times as there can be a lot of traffic with impatient drivers. There's a crosswalk with flashing lights but at busy times, parking then walking along that road with small kids is a high alert situation.

I love that there is a place to bring wild birds if they're injured or lost.
The trails are nice with quite a few benches in quiet areas to sit and enjoy the woods.
The gift store has a lot of different gifty ideas. A portion of the money goes to the Audubon society. While I was there I saw they had classes for the kids. That's great!!! Get the kids outside and learning about nature.

This is a lovely place for a hike with little kids. The terrain is varied enough to keep them interested but the trails are not long. We were lucky enough to spot a large owl and many other small birds. Parking is pretty hard to find on a weekend, so be prepared for that. There are bathrooms in the gift shop!

Fun hiking spot on the northwest side of town. They accept baby birds and other small critters, but no visitors are allowed in the wildlife rescue building. There are a couple of birds in big cages to view before heading out on the trails. Hikes are short and can be completed within an hour. Before you leave be sure to check out the little museum and gift shop. They also have a bathroom for visitors.
Lovely place with a lovely gift shop. Saw many northern flickers and downy woodpeckers. Heard tales of even more... I will be returning...

This is a somewhat hidden hiking spot among the more popular Forest Park. The trails make for an easy, casual hike. On the north side of Cornell Road is the main building, gift shop, wildlife care center, and the more interesting trails where you're likely to see many types of birds including Pilate Woodpeckers and some nice valley views. The south side of the road has some longer, steeper hike with more forest views and less wildlife.

Wonderful. We took a baby Western Scrub Jay here. They gave us great hope. We walked the trails and saw what we could. It was just beautiful. I can't wait to go back and see more. My granddaughter was with me as well and had the best time. Pictures don't do it justice
