Stunning pier with things happening all the time. A lot of fishing going on, but the people you meet is the most interesting part
So huge, very nice place!
It got worse and nasty. The portable is so disgusting they need to clean this place up. There’s no toilet paper so bring your own. I step on glass when walking on the sand. Be careful!!! Can’t even see at night because the lights is so dim. Do not recommend
People watching at its maximum capacity! So fun! The pier is fun but definitely needs a clean up! Joe at the hut selling cold drinks and beech needs is the best! You can check him and his great photos of cool people on pierfishing35 on instagram
If you like the smell of weed and pee mixed together, you'll love this pier. For everyone else, keep driving south until you hit Seal Beach or Huntington Beach. Besides the horrible olfactory experience, the view from the pier is quite depressing: former military structures, tankers at anchor, and the cranes of the Port of Long Beach in the distance.
Good fishing with kind people. You can also rent rods and buy bait if you don't already have. Gets pretty crowded though.
I grew up hanging out at this pier and now my children are growing up fishing at this pier. It's a magical place where perfect strangers who have never seen each other before suddenly become friends simply because they are both engaged in the act of fishing even if nobody catches anything. There has never been competition from my experience, everybody is friendly. The Magnolia pier has a beautiful melting Pot of people from all walks of life enjoying the views of the surrounding areas and on clear days , glimpses of New York City
Went night fishing here. got there at 9pm and there were other people fishing on the pair which was nice... Head around midnight the security and drop on the pier to let everyone know that the pier was closed. It's a nice pier to walk and to fish from.
Beautiful location, saw people catching fish. Very nice area, the people are so friendly and parking is right next to the pier, not to mention a bait shop right there. Definitely a must for fishing , you can even walk your dogs
Well, it’s a few days before the Long Beach Grand Prix 2023 so there’s just a few tourists around. The parking was plentiful. App operated parking like $3/hour which is nice
The pier and walkpath is super clean and paved. Nice to walk around with family or pets.

There’s a good mix of action on the pier. spacious free parking lot are well lit for nighttime fishing and are open to the public free of charge on a year-round basis.you’ll find plenty of fluke, bluefish, snappers, school stripers, weakfish, kingfish, blackfish and blowfish . The L shaped pier is neat and clean also .
Amazing views! Great spot for fishing! Also has a walking path next to dock!
Best place to see the sunset in long Beach. Always a great view of the sunset. You can see the nyc skyline here as well. Always people fishing here. There's a nice and spacious parking lot.
Not enough seating areas. And the ones they have are occupied for the people fishing.

The pier is great for those who like to fish. Paradoxical that there’s seafood serving restaurants nearby for customers who prefer to fish expensive Belmont Shore menu’s, without getting taken hook, line, and sinker!
I’m not here for the fishing, tho do enjoy the scenery. The beaches have a different perspective and the unobstructed views of popular land and seascapes and are well worth a quick stroll!
There’s a small vendor cart serving refreshments and selling some souvenir items, including t-shirts.
Structures that possibly have housed business establishments are located at the end of the pier and appeared unavailable for public access.
Restrooms or port-a-potty’s are available on the pier and are serviced during the day.
I noticed a combination of oily and old fishy smells that apparently comes with the territory.
I detach from the displeasure, my visual impression comes to the fore and I’m transformed into an immersive experience, all while remaining dry!

Nice pier in a good, peaceful area in Long Beach.
This is a very laid down place, came on a Saturday and enjoyed watching the sunset after a run alongside the beach.
Most people were wearing masks while I was there, only a few exceptions with some runners but overall I felt pretty comfortable with the distancing and the flow of public in this area.
I recommend coming here to meditate, get your feet on the sand or just workout. It's the perfect activity in these crazy times and I feel the area is pretty safe and family friendly over here.
I saw some families roller skating and going on bikes with their kids and I thought it was an amazing idea to get little people outta the house for a while. Also, there's a lot of space closer to the shore if you're not to comfortable with having people walking next to you so, yeah, great place, definitely will go back soon

Best sunsets July through September. Been going since I was a little girl when I lived up the block. Now live in Freeport but this place always brings me back. Was there last night and caught 12 Blue Claws.
Cool little pier to catch a few small fish. Beautiful view. Definitely will return.

But they do it any way.
