Best video game store in Rochester, MN! I’ve stopped in quite a few times over the course of a couple years and every time the workers have been friendly and knowledgeable. I recently took my PS3 in to get it jailbroken and everything works great. Definitely worth checking out.
Tons of retro games…that’s what I was there for…but nothing is priced. You have to bring the games you find to the counter to the kid who rings you up. He hardly told me the price per game…just gave me the total. Really weird system. I would have purchased more had I known what the prices were.
Legit 100% store for your gaming and figure collecting needs. They have so much awesome stuff and for good prices that are cheaper than NerdinOut.

Came in to buy a GameCube for the nostalgia. First off, they had EVERYTHING I wanted to purchase. Secondly, the guy working was 10/10 the best at his job. He was super knowledgeable, and extremely nice. He helped me with a cord problem I was having as well. I would recommend this business to anyone, it’s hands down the best gaming store I’ve ever been to. I can’t say enough good things about the service I received, or the experience I had. Brilliant place. Brilliant people.
Rochester is so lucky to have this place, don't get to stop as often as I would like but when I do it's always a great time. Made a special trip a couple of weeks ago to specifically play in the arcade and had a blast. Give the arcade a try, the retro games selection is amazing, even had some light gun games I didn't know existed. Look forward to stopping again soon! You can bet I'll be bringing this place up at 2d-con in August.
This location is so nostalgic! Took my teen son to hang out and kill some time and we had a blast! Lots of two player games! I love the flat fee aspect over tokens or quarters! I could have let my son play games and I could have looked through all the games and gaming systems all day!
I went there with my 8 yr old son and we both had a blast. Definitely going back soon.

My daughter had her bday party at Veracity VRcade and all her friends had fun and had enjoyed every minute of it! Their space is not that big but it’s just enough so the kids can stay in sight from their parents without running all the over and look for them everywhere, so it was just good! I’m glad that my daughter suggested this place to celebrate her day with her friends. It’s kind of different and it’s new for the kids.
I just went here for my son's 13th birthday. Him and his friends loved it. The owner was very attentive and made sure everything was alright. He came back and checked on us. My son is already asking me when we can go back.
Very cool place to spend an evening with family and friends. Axe throwing, digital darts, arcade games, billiards, ping pong. Lotsa fun, not overpriced, drinks are reasonable to. Place is neat and clean, friendly staff keeps things tidy. Did not eat there, so I can not comment on the food. A must try...
Free to Enter, charges for Everything. Mini golf is awesome, my son and I like doing this on weekends. Has go-karts, I have not tried them.
We made reservations for an event there. Staff was great! Very friendly and helpful throughout the whole night. They were very busy but were able to provide fast service. Food was good too. Thank you for making it a nice and fun night!!
Overall I had a great time here with my group! Andrew was great explaining the rules of laser tag and answering questions, he was clear and didn't give a hard time if something needed to be repeated due to my poor hearing. Sign up itself was straight forward and easy. The free lockers for your things was nice, but around 1/3 of them didn't work and were limited. Get a locker right away, don't wait until a few minutes before tag starts. Don't leave your stuff in there all night either, only when you can't watch your stuff.
I do wish the laser tag vests were lighter and more comfortable in the front, I was hoping they'd be updated after I first played over 5 years ago but they seem the same. The balancing system felt weird, it would be better if it was based on all of a player's rounds in the past, not just the one round that came before the next. The handful of best players just kept balancing out each side when switched, when they should've been distributed between the two sides evenly after a few rounds once data was collected on each player. Of course there will be variation, someone will do good one round but not as well the next, but overall it seemed players kept consistent scores even after multiple rounds and becoming tired. I do appreciate that balancing is a thing in the first place, but it just needs work to feel a bit more fair.

Huge shout out to Morgan for an awesome experience. My son and I stopped in to play some arcade games and mini golf today. It was our first time there and certainly won’t be our last. Morgan was so friendly, kind and helpful, getting us all set up with a card to play games and answering whatever questions I had. The place had a great variety of games, was super clean and all around just fun. Thanks you Morgan for such incredible customer service. :)

Pretty fun place, did some mini-golf and go-karting but enjoyed Go-Karting the most, I did the fast single player and it was surprisingly speedy
I just want to say if your looking on planning an event definitely book here. We had a blast today for my daughter birthday. Everyone was so friendly and kind and I must say our party host Paige was ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND for our group we truly appreciate it and will be back with another event soon
I took my younger cousin here for his birthday, and it's still relatively cheap compared to when i was younger. Went and did 36 hole mini golf and single karts once, and it was only $50, and we were there for 2 and a half hours. All the staff were pretty friendly too. Free entry just have to pay for activities. The pizza was pretty good. They have slices available.
Had a birthday party for my 9 year old son and 10 of his friends. The staff was fantastic! Clean facility and our server went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Very easy process from start to finish.
Used to LOVE this place as a kid but we’d go at night if it wasn’t for a birthday party. They’re barely even open now and there’s no useful information on the page. Looks like there are some great new attractions. Too bad you can’t visit to use them n
Nice place for children to go and enjoy fun activities. The place is not huge and can get crowded evrn on a weekday. The go cart was fun, but the cars were stopping in the middle and also slowing down on their own sometimes.
The golf course was nice. The arcade games were few, not many.
The birthday area for kids is a bit cramped. Service was good and they have a card machine ao you don't have to wait in queue to get a card

Horizon hosted a Senior class event for about 75 of my students. They did an awesome job! Very organized; kids were grouped well for laser tag, unlimited pizza/soda was fully stocked at all times and skate rentals went smoothly. I'd highly recommend them for a large group/private event. Tons of great feedback from students as well!
Not enough guards things for kids and beginners and people especially grown folks that don't need them use them just because... horrible pizza great wings
Such a great experience. We went there with a group of 15 people and played laser tag and axe throwing. I highly recommend it everyone, no matter how old you are.
What a neat place! I was in town for a conference and checked this place out. Tons of great games and vintage media! By far Machine Shed has some of the best selection for a wide assortment of media types. They also have such a cool setup with awesome displays and odes to the past. I didn’t have time to check out the arcade, but I’m sure it’s cool! The staff were very helpful and friendly and even showed me some neat things they had just gotten in. Shout out to the team for doing my GameBoy Color screen mod the day I stopped in! Be sure to give this place a visit when in Rochester!
We had a good time skating here, but it was pretty crowded on the weekend, and a little pricey. 4 of us with skates cost me 80 dollars. They have a lot of rentals available though, both skates and rollerblades, and you can rent a push bar for the beginners.
Such an awesome experience! Group of 10 30year old women had a BLAST doing laser tag and axe throwing! Our coaches in axe throwing were helpful and fun. The different challenges kept it fresh. We got drinks at the bar to bring in during axe throwing. Highly recommend!!!!
Great place for food and drinks and family fun. Great for kids parties and learning how to skate and be a kid. No complaints here and the people who were there were giving a good vibe.
Wow. I have been coming here for 20+ years. It was great to see it so busy and so many people having fun. Skating is a blast, games, inflatables and laser tag. We came just to celebrate our son birthday with a few people and it was a great time.
Very cool VR place, the owner was very helpful and friendly for my son's birthday party. Comfortable space, safe parking, and the offices were quite reasonable. We'll be going back for sure!
My birthday gift to my nephew was met with some technical challenges on my headset. I had multiple interruptions and two stations quit in the middle of my experience. My nephew had such an amazing time though, which is what it is all about. When I let the owner know about the problems, not only did he refund my experience in its entirety but also part of my nephew’s as I was not able to play with him. Talk about exemplary customer service and doing the right thing. Super ethical and trustworthy company. Would definitely try it again, solely based on the owners response to the problem.

I found The Machine Shed by Googling fun things to do in Rochester. I brought my kids there and paid $10/person to play in the old school arcade. We had a blast and stayed for two hours. There is a big variety of games available, something for everyone! They also have a huge variety of old/classic video games in their store. My kids enjoyed looking around at everything in the store too. If we are ever in Rochester again we would definitely go again, and I recommend The Machine Shed to anyone looking for a fun and unique place to go in Rochester.
This is a super fun place! The laser tag was great! The facility is well maintained. The food is good. There are lots of activities and lots of space. We spent almost 5 hours here and we’re totally coming back! The staff is very friendly. The only thing I’d change is I’d bring my own roller blades next time. The rentals are very uncomfortable and provide absolutely no ankle support. We didn’t skate too much, but still had lots to do.
There is always great family fun to be had at Horizon Fun FX. Roller skating, laser tag, bounce houses, jungle gym, along with video games and a snack bar. It's an ideal location for children's birthday parties, and other gatherings. Still great family fun, always. It is a really nice place to have a party.
Good place to have fun with the kids. Many games to play. Online orders are easy to make, and the servers are fast. Everything is pricey, which is ok because games last 2 hours.
VeRacity VRcade is a hidden birthday party gem! My daughter recently turned 11 and invited 6 friends to play VR games. They had a blast! Most kids had not had that experience before and all wanted to go back! It was clean, spacious, affordable and appropriate for all ages. The adults had a chance to give ir a try at pick up time and also had a lot of laughs. Another great thing about the organization fo the party was that the kids had 2 full hours for play. Unlike other party places where they stop the party to go eat pizza and cake for an hour, this place let the kids eat and drink snacks as they pleased, allowing for full fun the whole time! We will DEFINITELY being going back!!

Food was expensive and waited half hour for a single slice of cheese 🍕😑 rode the go-karts and bumper cars. Played arcade games and renewed 'tickets' for cheap, cheesy prizes that will be in the garbage within a month. But we created memories and enjoyed our time together 😉😇😬😎🤡😍🤓😏😎🌞☺️🙄🤔🤗😆😘🤠😏😄

I had my daughter's birthday party here and it was a HIT! We had about 8 girls and they all had a blast. The owner catered to us the entire time and even accommodated one of my daughter's friends who has a physical disability. We had a semi private area but to us, it felt completely private. The owner did all the work! The only thing I had to bring was the cake and the birthday girl. The best part was it didn't cost an arm and a leg! Truly can't wait to go back, maybe even for a date night or adult night out! Thank you Veracity for a great time.
