Have only played the lesser of the two courses (think that's North), the course is in pretty poor condition tbh, but the price is very cheap, so you get what you pay for.

Warning, DON'T play this course without bug spray! I have played courses all over but have never seen anything like this with the amount of bugs there. Not sure I have ever had this many bug bites before in my life. Be prepared!

Golf shop attendant was very nice and friendly FWIW.
Municipal course- in need of some TLC but a fun place to play and a few holes have Busch Gardens Roller Coasters for a back drop!
I have golfed at Rogers Park many times over the last 40 years. I always like going there. like most public courses there are some rough spots now and then. I like the layout. lots of nature, birds, alligators.
Up side there, putting in a new driving range canopy with ball tracking. And their short nine holes is a lot of fun! Downside there tee boxes, and some of the greens are in pretty bad shape. If they fix that that will be a all around great golf course.
Worst food I've had in a long time. Cheesesteak had almost no cheese, flavorless meat that was very greasy, bun was greasy, sweet potato fries tasted stale and old, no flavor, cold. Took over 30 min to get food. If this place was off base it would close. How is this place still open?
I work at a golf course in our home town so this gave me even more appreciation for the level of customer service that Fernando showed us in the Pro-Shop. Kind, funny and very efficient. The starter saw a group of 8 getting ready to go in front of our twosome and let us go before them. Very kind and makes play quicker for everyone. Course was fun, challenging and well maintained. Looking forward to next time in Tampa so we can play here again. Wonderful course.
Nice golf course for non professionals, nice fairways, the greens could use some work but are doable. Fair prices and friendly staff. I recommend it.
Played the South course. It's in pretty bad shape. Greens are halfway decent. Tee boxes, fairways and grass surrounding the greens are really poor. My suggestion is play the North course. You won't be happy with the South.
Great course, but unfortunately, it was very dry there, so you did not get a lot of roll from your shots!

The older gentleman starter was incredibly rude not just to our group but also other groups around us. The golf is cheap and the course is nice however I will not be back due to the rude starter.
Not too long ago I was playing alone about to tee off the first hole when a group of older gentlemen rode by me as I was waiting for the green to clear. They got out of their carts and approached the ball. They just hopped right in front of me. I know they knew I was there because we exchanged a wave as they rode past me to the red tees as I was waiting. I hollered to them that I was next and they waived me off (ignoring me). I approached them to ask what the heck they were doing and they said “the guy at the clubhouse said for us to head right out”. I was so mad I just left. I confronted the clubhouse staff who then supported the people who fronted me! It’s like they have their own “click” or group to look after and if you aren’t at their age there is no respect. Here I have been judged for asking questions, spoken to like a child, and now feeling discriminated against.

The staff take too long to get people out. The food is miserably bad served by staff who clearly dislike being there.
Very affordable course with 7 par 4s and 11 par 3s. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The kitchen has got some great options- a variety of sandwiches, wings, appetizers and burgers.

Went there for breakfast after a recommendation from the front desk at MacDill Inn. There were NO cleaned tables to sit at. We had to clean one to eat at and the chairs. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Coffee was probably the worst I ever had and they had no hot water for my wife to make her own tea since they don't serve tea. Better to avoid this place for breakfast and go somewhere else.
The First Tee program is outstanding. Great Greens 💯
Honestly 2 stars feels generous. The course was whatever and the round was really cheap, but if you’re visiting from out of town and want a good golf experience, skip this one. We booked a 7:53am tee time so when we arrived we thought we should check in with the starter. We told him we had a 7:53 tee time and he immediately got combative with us, saying “you think you can just cut in front of all these people?? You think you can just go out there the two of you?” We were so confused honestly. We’re not sure why they even take tee times when they have a line of 10 groups backed up before 8am. We thought maybe they were a group or something and didn’t think it was weird to check in with the starter. They kept telling us their clientele aren’t professional golfers which is why they get backed up. We’re very casual golfers and I just don’t understand how they’re running that place. A really nice twosome let us join them and we ended up overall having a nice round but we still can’t get over how rude the staff was. After our round we thought we’d grab something to eat in the clubhouse and the bartender told us we couldn’t keep our clubs with us because “they were about to get really busy.” There wasn’t a soul in the dining room and we could have easily kept our clubs with us without them being in anyone’s way. We just didn’t want them outside where we can’t keep an eye on them. This place was just so odd.
Nice course for the novice or beginner. Some challenging shots to enhance your skills and the staff were friendly. We hosted a fraternity golf event, and the staff was very accommodating. The course is not too busy in the morning, so you shouldn't have to rush to the next hole. Get out and work on your game.
I played both the short course and regular course in late February 2024. The short course was fun, inexpensive, and in reasonable shape for the cost. The regular course is another story- the tees are basically dirt, the fairways are unkempt and seemingly unmowed, and the greens are inconsistent, some with good turf and some barely existing.

The carts were great, the people running the clubhouse were also great, but maintenance didn't seem to care about the golfers who pay their wages. My wife was in a bunker and a maintenance vehicle began spraying some foul chemical around the edge and didn't give her a chance to either hit her shot or exit the bunker.

If this is what public golf in Tampa is, no wonder so many private courses exist in this area. We were just visiting relatives, so I'm not a resident but no way would I ever return to Rogers Park.
Fun little municipal course. Greens don’t look good, but they are smooth and FAST. Did I mention fast? We played a lot of high-end courses on our trip, no place was faster than the Babe.

Cool holes. Really a lot of character for a city course.

Pace of play was excellent for a Thursday afternoon. I imagine it’s busier on weekends, but we got 36 holes in 6 hours. That’s an excellent pace.

We took carts, but this course would be a nice walk.

I really enjoyed it. Take a trip to the Babe if you want to test yourself on almost tour-speed greens. You’d better have steady hands. :)

I’ll certainly play here again the next time I’m in Tampa.
This is an absolutely obnoxious and inconsiderate establishment. This is located in the middle of a residential area and every single day, they loudly start blowing leaves at six in the morning. Often, I've heard loud music blasting at FIVE A.M. People have lives to live in peace; we don't care about your irrelevant and tawdry "community club." Enough of your noise pollution.
I’ll admit it’s a decent course for the price but the starter put a 4some of front of my group on the back 9 because they didn’t want to wait to start the front. I’ve never had this happen before at a golf course. Added an extra hour to the round. The owner absolutely could care less. Didn’t even get a “Hey I’m sorry about that” Way too many courses here in the area to treat your players like that. Won’t be coming back here anytime soon.
We submitted our application to get onto the Military base a 7 days prior to entry. We were not on the list upon arrival. After calling the club house, the gentleman working there got extremely angry with us at 6:30am and told us we didn’t do something right and hung up the phone. He called back 2 hours later, told us once again we did something wrong and hung up the phone.

We were just trying to play golf and the club house manager took it upon himself to try and ruin our day. I’m an adult who shows respect, zero was given in return.

Id avoid this course. Plenty of other places to play in the Tampa area.

I got to play a round of ⛳ here last Sunday. It was after 1pm ,pace of the game was good! Fairways and greens were fast and in good shape. It's on the narrow side..so beware you might get a ball here and there in your fairway or tee box from other players. Definitely not a beginners course due to the narrow..but
Had a Great time playing there👍!
Staff was super friendly too.
I'll definitely be back to play
My review is directed more toward the wedding experience we had at this venue. I am the wedding planner for my bride & groom that recently got married at Tampa palms country club on 12/3. I want to give a special shout out "Sierra" the event coordinator at this venue. From the start of planning up to the wedding day, she was an absolute joy to work with. It has been an absolute pleasure working with her for the past 10 months in planning for my bride and groom's wedding. She really puts in all effort in assuring that your special day will be prefect. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is planning on getting married!! This venue is just breath taking and such a sight to see! From its natural beauty sitting on a golf course, to all of its greenery, and water backdrop to the lake, its just such a beautiful place! On top of that, the food is top tier, excellent! Its really delicious!! As a wedding planner, I've seen a lot of wedding venues, and this one is by far one of my fav's! Book, get married, and have the wedding of your dreams! Don't forget to ask for "Sierra" she got you!!!

Tough little city course. Very conveniently located 7 minutes from Tampa Airport. The greens are superb! Fairways and tee boxes can use some TLC, Lots of water hazards and bunkers, and always a challenge. Made a hole in one on 16 a decade ago, and I've never been close to the pin again!

You definitely getting a bang for your buck $👍. Has 7 Par 4 holes and the rest are Par 3. This is my 🏠 course, depending on time of day Pace of the Game is pretty quick..but when they're busy it can get a little frustrating but every where has its thing..This time of the year the course is looking pretty Nice compared to the rough season. But still all and all I recommend giving it a shot if your in the TnC area. #Pars&Birdies⛳🏌️
Played their Thanksgiving scramble and can’t recommend it enough. Great pace of play, greens in great shape, really well priced and organized. Management really proved they’re in it for the golfers. Just an awesome overall experience
The personnel there are very polite and cordial. They make you feel that they want your business and they appreciate you as a customer and a golfer. I personally like the attention given by their assistant Frederick Young. He seems quite knowledgeable about golf and the operations of a public own Golf Course. He's a delightful person to talk with about the golf course and to receive information in general about the game.
Needs improvement. The course is in okay shape if you're used to playing $30 courses, and it is conveniently located.

Pace of play is nonexistent most days, forget the weekends. Even tuesday night at twilight there's three goofs playing out of one bag that won't let a solo pass. Not a ranger in sight, just sweatpants, tshirts, and vibes.

Oh and pack your helmet. Parallel fairways are the only ones they have. Good course to learn on maybe if you're new to the game and prefer a slower round. Kinda pretty, too.

The course is in terrible shape. Way over priced for the conditions. Every green is in bad shape with sand/dirt on them and the grass looks like it hasn’t been mowed in 5 days. T boxes were rough, hell even the practice green looks like a fairway bunker. Y’all need to take notes from Mangrove Bay. That coarse is completely booked out week in advanced and is still in great shape most the time with better pricing.
The course is in some pretty rough shape.
It's pretty bad. The greens are slow as a muthu. And covered in sand.
I didn't say it's not a fun course. Just that it needs a big gigantic hug from the grounds crew. Foreshore !!!
This course is horrible. Even more so the staff were incredibley rude to our group. Worst experiance i've ever had golfing. Will never be golfing here again.

Beware of the unspoken rule of Twilight hours.
No rainchecks given if it's supposedly after a certain time.
I guess that is in the small print because i never saw it and it wasn't mentioned before paying $30 and it started raining after 2 holes.
Great way to make $30 without providing what we paid for..
Wont be back
Great staff , so very on point and accommodating.
Never a no. Just a "let's see what we can do. "
Course is a smidge rough in the fairways but you will NOT regret playing a round here. PROMISE

Not bad for a public golf course. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition, staff was nice. Wear your armor at the front desk you'll trade riffs with the older attendee. Holes are a good spread between distance and difficulty.
Ok course.. pretty short 6000 from the back tee, but I enjoyed myself. Greens need some work though.
I love this course! The course is in great shape. The greens are 95% perfect. But the course is an amazing cost value. This shorter course plays at 62 par and there aren’t any par 5’s. This would be an awesome course to play with the fellas!
Golf course is awesome! In great shape as well. They also have a practice putting green as well as a driving range and a chipping area. Great staff as well! We love this place.
3 or 4 holes were actually playable .. the rest of the holes were neglected .. grass hadn't been cut in multiple days. Greens had patches of no grass .. and several fairways were true cow pastures .. waste of time and money .. worse golf course ive seen in tampa should have gone else where .. the best expirence of the day was the resturant
This is heaven. We played Saturday 4/15 and it was a real treat for us forced to play public courses. The pro shop, starter and rangers work miracles to deliver a round in exactly four hours with no waiting anywhere on the course. Everything about Tampa Palms is perfect, the tee boxes are flat and grassy, the fairways are lush and the greens are sheer perfection. Perfect condition, perfectly mowed and rolled and rolling fail and true. If you ever get the opportunity to play here don't hesitate. If you have the means then this would make the perfect home course.
Great course, front nine is mostly back and forth parallel holes but still offers options, back nine brings some ponds into play and has more doglegs. Greens in decent shape, tee boxes too, fairways very nice. Will return.
Horrible, what happened? There is no grass in the fairways. Green were so, so. I guess the Air Force is letting another great golf course go like Vandenberg, Nellis, General Old, etc. What a shame.
The outside of the hotel is very beautiful & clean. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom too. The balcony view was beautiful too. The decor & furniture needs to be upgraded to give the room a more modern look & fashionable. Let’s talk about customer service: I was extremely disappointed. I asked for bath towels & wash clothes, I waited for almost 30 minutes & didn’t hear no knock on the door. Something told me to open the door & what did I see on the floor in no bag…my bath towels & wash clothes on the dirty floor. That is the lowest form of DISRESPECT & it was reported to the hotel manager. The audacity for that staff to think putting guests bath towels & wash clothes on the dirty floor is disgusting!! I was too tired to even call or bring it right back down to guest services that night but did speak to the manager the next day (didn’t seem to even care). I wonder if everyone is treated like this when making a request?! The front desk employee wasn’t so pleasant at check-in as well & her body language wasn’t welcoming either. Needs Ritz-Carlton training. One of our rooms had roaches too. Overall, definitely a hotel where the phrase looks are deceiving fits this experience & never again!
Lots of challenging holes due to some interesting hazards. Greens were very puttable despite some rough patches this time of year. Top marks for available cold water to drink in three locations on course, and new, electric carts. Would recommend for the cost.
Great place to hit some golf balls after work and enjoy the sunset in the distance. Parking is pretty easy and just go to the pro shop to get a token for your bucket of balls. The machine is on a timer and dispensers till closing time. The driving range is well maintained and gives off a very Florida nature vibe. The area the course is in is very busy, but for a public course it's pretty nice.
This is a great short course so it’s not a par 72 a think par is 61 which means there’s no power fives it’s 11 par threes, and seven par fours. They just renovated the clubhouse and the course is in great shape. My personal best at this course is 11 under par and they played in a scramble and we were 16 under par. There are skins games on Tuesday mornings at sunrise Thursday morning at 7:30 and Saturday at sunrise. There’s plenty of leagues, men’s women’s, you name it. This is just a really great course to play because even not the greatest golfer can get a eagle or a birdie.
Great public golf course, a little noisy at times but it makes up with the views of the roller coasters from Busch Gardens

Well maintained course a short distance away from the airport. John warned me that we might see some alligators on the course but I certainly didn’t spot any (and he might have imagined the one he thought he saw). Plenty of hazards to look out for, but this also contributed to an interesting variety of holes. Also appreciated the electric carts. They do space the tee times only 10 minutes apart though we were waiting at times.
This is a great golf course, this link styled layout can be a bit intimidating due to the abundance of water hazards and tight tree lines, it becomes friendly and rewarding if you keep your shots in the fairway.
Personally, I find the back nine a bit more challenging but playable if you keep your tee shots on the fairway.
The clubhouse is very nice also with very friendly and professional staff.
As a Wedding Photographer, I highly recommend this Venue. I have captured a few weddings at this Venue and the services provided by the staff and vendors have always been excellent! The decorations and food have always been amazing!
My husband and his friends enjoyed golfing at the Babe! The food at the causal dining area is also very good. The Cuban sandwich was delish and everything tasted very fresh.
Rogers Park Golf Course has a beautiful scenery with a variety of animals and birds. There is no worries of having a stray ball hit a house or car making for a relaxing game. The layout, condition, and pace of play are better than most in the area
Excellent Country Club that I first discovered in the early 90s. They offer many things such as Golf, Fitness room. A pool, hotel and dinning as well as banquet rooms and more. We do not play golf but the course is beautiful as is the hotel. Dinning is very nice with indoor and outdoor seating. We like Dinning on the Veranda overlooking parts of the golf course.
The staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommend.
We had our reception here and it was beautiful, and absolutely perfect. We originally planned for a different venue but changed at the last minute because their outdoor veranda was more COVID friendly. Gemma was helpful every step of the way, super flexible about us letting us decorate how we wanted and all at a reasonable price. I recommend this venue to everyone! It was a perfect night that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Another beautiful day at the Babe Zaharia Golf Course. Perfect weather with blue sky, sunshine and fresh air. Spring has come early with nice, green and great shape for golfers. Staffs were very nice and friendly. They always have some special price for golfers and classes. The golf club also offers several food and drinks with affordable price but very tasty. My favorite was special burger and fries, so delicious, I couldn’t find anywhere else has these crunchy fries. I also love the chicken wings, so good. Every Wednesday night and Friday they have special price, I believe $4-5 for burger and beer. The rest of the week would have other specials. Even though you don’t play golf, you still do can enjoy to have food & drinks here and hangout with locals.
