No much to see inside. Better from outside. Over 20 euros to enter is too much for what you see.

Just walking around this 1800 year old castle would take up your entire afternoon. It's relaxing and not crowded since everyone is busy at the Vatican or the Colosseum which is a plus for us! Be sure to get a window seat at the Castletop bar the view is awesome!

This is a must do in Rome. It was much less crowded than other tourist spots. It was a much needed change of pace.

A great view of Rome from the top of the castle and many cool things to see on the way up.
try to pre book if you can, it's quicker to get in but please visit! the history of the castle is amazing, you walk through the mausoleum to get up to the castle on top, and the views are incredible. Great coffee shop, again with lovely views if you are lucky enough to bag a table next to an arrow slit! superb place!
Beautiful castle to visit. From what I noticed, it’s not wheelchair accessible. Gives a beautiful view of the City as well as the Vatican from the top floor. Some art indoors as well.

There’s a cute little restaurant at the top of the castle, worth a visit to enjoy the views while having a coffee!

I didn’t buy tickets in advance, and only had to wait in a 5 minute line to get in!
This is a beautiful castle. I was amazed at all the exceptional paintings. The architecture is impressive as well. It's only a short walk from the Vatican. I know there are many things to see in Rome, but if you can make the time, I recommend you put this on your "To Do" list. You won't be disappointed.

What a great area of Rome. This palazzo is in the area known as Trastevere, which is home to many fine restaurants and nightlife. Its also home to a daily market in the square just steps from this square. We went on a Monday night and the streets were lined with tables and people. Quite a wonderful place to hang outdoors. Food was great! There was great places for all from street food to fine dining.

This building looks old when you approach it, and it remains impressively authentic on the inside where possible, though there does appear to have been a lot of it required repair over time. The building itself is impressive, though at times the rooms seem a little empty and there's perhaps less to see than you might expect. Other rooms are packed with paintings, diary pages and interesting stories. Overall if you like history, architecture, or simply being in awe at some of history's most amazing buildings, this is well worth the visit.

It’s walking distance from the Vatican, quite centrally located, the whole structure stands out and can be seen from far, it actually looks quite cool but surprisingly empty. I went after my morning tour at the Vatican and bought tickets on the spot easily. There is a path to follow through the whole site with some options for quick exits. The whole place is quite well laid out and with quite a few things to see. The views from the top is pretty amazing as well. Definitely worth a trip.

What can I say - I did not expect that this place is so interesting! Amazing historical landmark, must visit place when you are in Rome.
The castle inside is incredible, how many old paintings in there! Very impressive. This place deserves 5 starts.
I paid 19 €, if I’m not mistaken. However, be sure that you buy the ticket in advance.
Honestly, you do not need a guide for this place - everything is clear and you will not be lost.
Good luck! 🍀

An outstanding edifice epitomising the work of great architects and artists of the glorious past. The site of the aria Vissi d'arte (Tosca by Puccini) and presently by the French Embassy.
While its splendid architecture can be admired by all from the outside, you need to get a ticket booked in advance with your passport to see the inside. The main reason to go through this hassle (no backpacks allowed, airport-like checks, and it's currently 12 euros) is to see the great fresco by Annibale Carracci. If you love art, it's a must.
The guided tour now changed from 3 years ago, they do not take you to the upper floor loggia with a view. But the Caracci fresco is included as before.
The guided tour takes an hour. There is a bathroom inside available only in courtyard. No bags allowed except for purses. Arrive 30 minutes prior to go through all the checks. Bring your own passport!
One of the most significant of the historic Roman palaces, with contributions from Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane and Michelangelo. Once it use to hold the important “Farnese collection”, now in Naples. Now is famous for it’s beautiful restraint renaissance architecture and the remarkable “Galleria Farnese” with the frescoes of the Carracci brothers. Now France’s Embassy, It’s possible to visit booking a guided tour well in advance.

Fantastic place with fantastic art. There is certainly good reason behind the Hercules piece being as renowned as it is. Can recommend going for a stroll around the plaza as well, especially the monastery next door

Truly magnificent palace! Beautiful inside garden! I was there for the reception of Bastille Day with the ambassador and the evening was amazing!
