First time using here and I can hardly believe that as it’s a stones throw from me !!!, it was absolutely delicious and served beautifully, the presentation even in takeout was outstanding, I look forward to being in here a lot more in future and would highly recommend it to anyone, the staff were extremely friendly also. What an amazing place for Thai food! Everything from service, food taste, and quality is what you’d expect from a great restaurant! I’d love to gatekeep this place but it deserves all the success! We ordered fried rice, roti, and drunken noodles. All 3 were extremely authentic and delicious!

My friends and I all had an amazing experience in this wee restaurant. We ordered different versions of noodles and they were all to die for. A huge selection of vegan dishes which made me very happy. The service was superb and we ended up paying less than £10 per person. I totally recommend this place, want to come again!!

We got dinner from Thai 2 Go to take away this evening. Staff were exceptionally nice and friendly, food was very tasty and quite a big portion. Great value for the price, absolutely recommended!

Tried their pineapple fried rice with veg and tofu, solo on a Sunday evening.

And it arrived piping hot! Full of flavours as well but I did find it a tiny bit too salty for me. Slightly disappointed tofu puffs were used instead of actual tofu pieces.

There are around a dozen seats, and I don't know if they take bookings.

Cleanish but tables and stools aren't cleaned after each use. Staff may "encourage" you to pay as you order or let you pay at the end at their discretion.

Takeout. Amazingly delicious breakfast wraps and banoffee frappe! Would highly recommend

Popped in for lunch before going to the Festival Theatre. The 1st thing that put me off was when I ordered a white wine the girl behind the bar poured it into a glass and then, after noticing the glass was dirty, poured the wine from the dirty glass into a new one rather than give me a fresh drink. 😐
I ordered a pizza, which arrived quickly, but had pools of water on top of it. The sauce was incredibly thin and runny, resulting in the toppings sliding off when you attempted to pick a slice up. I ate half and left the rest.
My husband ordered a haggis burger, which he said had little flavour and the meat was tough and had clearly been frozen before cooking. He also ordered cheesy chips which were actually tasty and fresh!
We wouldn't recommend or return.

Came here to try their legendary fish and chips and it did not disappoint!! The fish was extra big, I had to take away and left me both super full. It was fresh, the fish meat was not smell fishy at all, batter was extra crunchy and flavourfull.. I like their tartar sauce and brown sauce too, it adds depth.

Overall great experience, lovely staff. Also we're from Belgium and weren't expecting fries with an omelette so just know what you're getting into.
We also had a milkshake to go, and that one was amazing

It's a nice restaurant for from the city centre with friendly staff. We tried fish and chips and the steak pie, and both of them were delicious.The deep fried mars bar is also worth trying.

Great place to try local dishes like haggis.

There are lots of classic British courses to order from here such as fish & chips and haggis, neeps & tatties. I went for the steak pie as my main course and it was irresistible, with lots of proper gravy to pour over it and the chips as well. I also recommend the lentil soup and knickerbocker glory, they were both scrumptious.

Still one of my favourite places to grab dinner in the city. Food is always fresh and portions are excellent sizes!!

The super mega wrap (vegetarian style) is delicious and full of great ingredients. Served super hot with choice of sauce!

I love this wee place. I reckon it's the best in Edinburgh. The Cheeseburgers with onion and relish are superb. Also the Black Pudding Rolls are a favourite.
No scrimping on size and quality here. Really busy all day and that tells you all you need to know.

Shop looks the part but the link sausage is clearly the cheapest they can find.
The roll was hard and not fresh and the tattie scone over cooked and chewy it was quite pricey for below average rolls to be honest.

The best thing is: it’s halal. The not really a good thing is: it’s rather expensive.

The taste actually good, if you want to taste Thai food. I think this is better than another Thai food in the town.

The manager is kind and smile all the time.

Had this maniac of a driver he was tipping speeds of 120mph. Never again !

Booked a taxi from the airport to the city centre and I wasn’t disappointed. Taxi came on time and it was fairly cheap compared to any other taxi I have ever used .

RECOMMENDED: ask for Pad Thai with extra sauce.

May 2020: We came back again and were keen to try the Pad Thai. This was after watching the Facebook live update showing the chef making their homemade sauce. We asked for tofu Pad Thai - takeaway of course during the lockdown.

When we got back home I had to weigh it (yeah I’m one of those people that use apps to count calories!) and was surprised with the huge portion; 700 grams 😱 fantastic value for money! I therefore split this over two days, but would have been happy to binge on all of it at once!

This is one of the best Pad Thai I have had in the UK and is similar to what you’ll get in Thailand. I suggest asking for extra sauce, but that’s just my personal preference!

December review: Thai2Go opened in December and I can’t stop returning! The food is authentic and is so so tasty. Large portion sizes make it great value for money. I’ve never tasted better spring rolls, but everything is delicious! BTW we came back and now hooked on their green curry. Best ever

Very friendly staff, extremely efficient service even when busy, and great quality food for good prices. I feel so satisfied! Note they have a £10 minimum spend for card payments.

My brother and I had a single Mega breakfast which included original Scottish dishes such as haggis, black pudding and Lorne sausage among other things plus a tea / coffee of choice for only £5.50 altogether (we had two extras that added another 50p each).
Everything was super delicious. We can absolutely recommend this place. We're tourists here, but love to visit places where locals go to. This is definitely one of those places.
