Went to drop my family for cruise. The place is very organised. The drop-off and pick are very stickmatic. There r lot of security guards to help u navigate ur way. I was impressed with how clean the surroundings were.

Great place to get on a cruise ship well organized and very professional staff easy access to port...but lets talkabout PROS and CONS of cruising from here and MSC as a whole PROS clean beautiful ship very high standard of cleaning and service for your stay are awesome , shows are top notch and buffets are pretty good as far as food goes...Cons of this is there are only 3 restaurants on the ship you are assigned one of them and just so you know the same food is served at all 3 the only thing different is the ambiance, you have to line up on your scheduled time and until you dont get to the front they dont tell you your on the right line if not get to the back of the line ( secret to this is one side even cabins other odd cabin numbers) food was cold at dinner time and came to find out that food served in restaurant was same at buffet. There are other restaurants options which are all not included such as STEAK dinner 160.00 per person SUSHI 116 PER PERSON AND Mexican at 130 per person to experience it or you can buy a 300+ per person to experience all 3. There are no Captains Dinner just meet and Greet for pictures no Gala dinner just Gala pictures. VENETIAN hour is set at the BUFFET on the second to last day on board. Drinks are weak and lack spirits and without a drink package become very pricey as the package its self. All services are for a extra fee when requested. Such as ironing laundry etc. No steamers no irons on board to use and standard cabin is small and so is the bed . For the ladies the blowdryer is in the draw where there is no mirror or lighting. Lighting is poor and you will require special travel outlet adapters to use some items , under tv are 2 regular outlets. 1 usb charger and in the bathroom there is a special outlet for electric shaver only. Space from bed to wall are narrow as hell followed by a useless shelve that just takes place.

If you can bear to pee for an hour and wait in a crowded queue to get on the boat, spend half an hour looking for a seat every time you eat, and then wait in line for another half an hour to get something to eat in an 80-decibel environment, please choose MSC.

Not the easiest place to get to but the views from the cruise ship were amazing.

The lady porters that received our luggage were super awesome. So patient and helpful! We had one person in our group that had mistakenly left their passport in the luggage, if not reminded by the porters to check 😳! Embarkation with the Princess Medallion was a breeze. We went straight through and never stopped. I absolutely loved seeing the statue of liberty 🗽 and New York sky line from the 🚢.

It's just a cruise ship terminal. It goes smoothly, and it is no problem.

Easy access to our cruise. Easy embarkation.

THEY LEFT OUR SUITCASES OUTSIDE IN POURING RAIN. ALL of our dressup clothes were SOAKING WET!

Docked at pier 12 which unfortunately is a quite far from central New York City, very few local shops, Best way to visit New York City is on a bus tour with your cruise company, we visited Times Square and the Empire State building on a night tour with Marella Cruises and the guide was good and the visit to the Empire State building was fantastic with a 360 degree viewing of New York City at night. Times Square was very busy and a bit noisy, generally the traffic in the city is mega busy and overall a fantastic city to visit. The staff in the terminal are very friendly and helpful and the WiFi is good. Unfortunately there are no refreshment areas available in the terminal.

When boarding a ship with over 5,000 people it is difficult. Standing in line for 1-1/2 hours is difficult. Getting to drop-off luggage was easier. They need more security scanners to get the people thru the process.

The best experience ive ever had getting on my cruise. Plenty of seats while you wait to be called. Helpful workers. No cell service though in the building.

Great place to get your free WiFi and catch up with your family and friends
No amenities so you have go back onboard some seating around

I would not recommend boarding a ship here. We got onto msc meraviglia at this pier and it was very messy, too cramped for the huge volume of people getting on and off the ship. Also people were boarding the ship at the same time as people getting off the ship, and because of that traffic was awful and taxis and pick up cars were sitting and sitting trying to exit the parking lot. The peir needs to be renovated to accommodate larger volumes of people.

This was our 1st cruise pn MSC cruise lines out of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal/Pier 12 and it was not a pleasant experience at all. Why did the cruise line have us show up with all of our luggage (10:00 am) to sit around for over 2 hours and board with all the groups who were scheduled after ours. C-

Visited the Brooklyn Cruise terminal to board the MSC Meraviglia in May 2023. A bit crowded but that's the same with any cruise terminal although it was easy to board a ship here then the Manhattan Cruise terminal.

Great stuff! Ready to entertainment. Great people. You have to have some patience because the area is definitely a little congested. If you're picking up an Uber you better off walking in from a few blocks away the staff we dealt with was very nice. They were accommodating and they helped us get through the process of checking in for the cruise ship. Coming back just if you can get off early. Take your time and you'll enjoy it

The custom is the WORST. To board 5000 passengers, there's only 1 security hate open. We stood in line for over 1.5hr to board a cruise ship. There's a serious problem at this port. Many passengers are complaining. Not even mention small children. Avoid this port if you can.

I have only visited once to board inside the MSC Meraviglia cruise for an event and i loved the vires of Manhattan, Governors Island and the Statue of Liberty 😍

No taxis here on our arrival off mega ship. Lots of people waiting for a ride.

Situated in Red Hook where the East River meets the Hudson River, we boarded Queen Mary 2 here. There is ample space for bus drop off and was a short walk to the terminal building.
Check in was quicker than we imagined ( certainly quicker than JFK ), staff were great, facilities are basic with a huge check in hall with toilets that led to a waiting area before boarding the long accessible gangway to board the ship.
Getting out looked to be very different with long queues waiting for taxis into Manhattan or Airports.
I used the NYC Ferry, South Brooklyn Route from the adjacent wharf at Atlantic Basin when we returned to get across the river to Wall Street Dock which took only 15 mins

A real pain to drive to during rush hour traffic. There's parking that's close but limited. And you still have to do some walking, The place was done up nice for the event and Very clean. I guess if you live near by it's ok. Don't think I'll be going back soon
