We did two mornings of guided tours in Venice plus one evening tour on a private water taxi with Fiona. She was very personable, spoke excellent English, her tours were engaging and informative and was also helpful with recommendations on what do or where to eat when we were not with her. She definitely made our trip more enjoyable and we left Venice after 4 days feeling like we really knew the history and character of the area. We highly recommend her!

We communicated with Fiona in advance of our arrival and she recommended a walking tour and a boat tour, which would give us the most immersive experience possible. We agreed to both.
When we met Fiona, she was friendly, outgoing, charming and completely fluent in English, which is our primary language. Fiona’s knowledge far transcends the basic tour guide package. Having grown up in Venice and schooled in Venice, Fiona imparted history as well as personal anecdotes which can only occur with someone who possesses a superior familiarity with the city and its culture.
We noted and appreciated that Fiona not only walked us through the popular tourist spots in the city, but also conducted her tour on some of the less travelled streets which gave us a chance to concentrate more on the rich history that the tour had to offer without having to struggle with crowds. She also highlighted aspects that we would probably have never known had we not been with a guide of her caliber. Our experience was only heightened by the second half of the tour of the city by private water taxi, which Fiona arranged, and gave our tour a completely different and added perspective.
We took our tour with Fiona on our second day in Venice. In the several days that followed, we realized how much more those days meant to us since possessing a strong base of the information that Fiona had provided.

If by chance you happen to be visiting Venice, it’s such a unique and interesting place that you don’t want to miss out on seeing the bits other tourists don’t get to visit.

Having done my due diligence in the UK before travelling to the island (it’s actually a collection of small islands connected and interlinked by waterways and canals), I found a tour guide named Fiona Giusto.

Fiona is a professional, licensed Venice tourist guide fluent in English, German and Italian. She started working as a professional guide in 2000 after having passed the official test, she obtained her licence from the Regione Veneto.

I would urge you to stop looking now for anyone else. Most of the others who advertise their services are larger businesses that simply outsource their guiding to others and take a cut of the fees.

Fiona is self-employed, so once booked she will be your only guide for the duration of the tour. Her knowledge of her home Venice is superlative, having grown up in Venice, she was schooled there, went to university and studied, meaning she has such a wide knowledge base on which to draw, places her head and shoulders above anyone else.

She is a delightful individual who makes her clients feel at ease from the moment she meets them. She can tailor tours to meet your specific requirements, including Grand Canal trips, ‘skip the queue’ tickets to some of the busiest venues, gondola trips, in-depth historical tours, and much more.

I give Fiona 10/10 for service, hospitality, knowledge, and overall experience. We learnt more about Venice in the two tours we did with Fiona over four hours than we could ever have done reading guidebooks.

We booked Fiona for a 2-hour tour of the Doge Palce. She's a fantastic knowledgeable guide, fluent in English, who provides insights in a very gentle, softspoken way, from the generalistic to the very detailed level. I can only recommend her.

The walking tour was okay. Our guide gave us great information. The actual gondola ride was so much fun. Very skilled individuals who steer them. Loved it!

Tiziana (the tour’s guide) was so kind and patient, she showed us the right place and introduced us to a brief history of the city of Venice. Valentina was a great guide. Super informative, lovely, animated story telling. She really brought the Basilica alive for us.

We took their gondola tour of the grand canal and it was unforgettable. We paid 35€ per person which I think is very reasonable for what we got. We spent around 35 minutes on the water. Staff were so nice and accommodating ensuring that we knew about everything and were in the right place.

Fiona was absolutely amazing. We had no plan to how we wanted to adventure around Venice besides not wanting to visit the busy churches and any over crowded area in general and she took us on the perfect tour. She is so knowledgeable, answered every question and gave fun facts about the entire area. I would highly highly recommend finding time in your schedule to take a tour with Fiona. She is personable, smart, caring, perfect tempo-ed, and gives to many options for how the tour can go.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Fiona, she was a wealth of knowledge of the history of how Venice was built. We loved leisurely walking the streets of San Polo as we learned Venice’s colourful history of the commerce, merchants and architecture, dipping down quiet alleys avoiding the crowds. Fiona gave us amazing recommendations for food and other sites to see on our own. Highly recommend.

The Gondola tour has no value, it's a complete scam. They promised 20 minutes of introductory tour, but I could hardly understand the guide. The audio device they provided was not a good quality plus the guide had a pretty strong accent. Plus there is no "skip the line" service, even though I supposed to get it according to the tour description. During the ride the participants on the gondolas were supposed to listen to the guides using the audio device, but this option was not accessible on our devices. Also, no music or singers even on another gondolas.
I'd recommend just getting the tour directly paying gondoliers. It would be much cheaper if you're a company of 3-5 people (adding the prices as a picture)

Fiona was our guide in Venice. We did two tours with her (Accademia and some walking around Venice on one day, and St. Mark’s and Doge’s Palace another day). She was very knowledgeable, professional, and funny. Her English is excellent and, as a native of Venice, she was able to teach us so much. She was also very good at engaging our young adult and teen children. During our tours, Fiona mentioned a few times that we were learning without even realizing it, and she was right! As we explored Venice on our own over the next few days, we kept noticing different things that Fiona had talked about. If we get back to Venice, we would definitely like to use her again!
