Case workers there don’t frequently follow up with you, or even do the things you need help with. I’ve missed deadlines intentionally because a case worker submitting my information so late. I feel like there are great opportunities but there are individuals who drop the ball with certain clients.

Soo. I don't know if it's any ongoing training , however the way people are treated , the long waits to be approved, the reps saying the same thing over and over each visit with no progress yet they tell you it's being worked on expedited. These jobs need a certain type of person. Hell with just having a degree. If you can't talk to people, easily catch attitudes, walk with a ready to go home attitude all day the. The job is not for you period! Robots may just do a better job than a human at this point!

Useless. If you want assistance carry a big ass mirror so the receptionist can look at herself all day.

The only reason I went into this location to file my claim is because the Website was not working, if it was not for that I would not have entered this location. But i digress, the customer service was atrocious by some. Why do women of color have such nasty demeanors? Im already dealing with unemployment, and now have to be spoken to as if I am a child? Also there was a young woman in there spraying lysol all around the office causing everyone in the facility to cough and cover their face, I wondered if anyone told her that Lysol disinfecting spray contains ammonium hydroxide, a suspected respiratory toxin, which may be linked to a variety of pulmonary conditions, including bronchitis, pulmonary edema, emphysema, and cancer? Unfortunately you may have to go to this location, but I guarantee the time there is going to be awful!

Most disgusting thing would happen to me the other day! A dark-skinned female security guard who searched my purse for weaponry, had used gloves that were laying on the table to search my purse. She then took the gloves back off and laid them back on the table. She then used the same pair of gloves to search every woman’s purse who came through the door; this will spread viruses and diseases around by contaminated latex. That is very unsanitary practice and procedure to use the same gloves to search every woman’s belongings and probably used them all day long. I was highly upset after realizing during my visit, the two hours I sat in there, she repeatedly used the same gloves each woman who came through the door! I watched her! She will be reported the next time!

Had an amazing experience with Quoinette Warrick!! I had a really bad experience at the South Dakota Ave location, where one of the staff tried to stop my claims based on many false statements such as I had to live in the city in which I'm applying for jobs, etc. And Quoinette fixed everything in the system and after 3 months of waiting to receive payment, got everything resolved!! Thank you Quoinette!! You are AMAZING!! And APPRECIATED!!

Tip to others: It is a two hour wait for ID verification and services at this location, so come prepared with a book, laptop, etc.

I didn't find them helpful at all! I went there for advice on how to word my resume after being out of work due to a long illness.
All I was given was a lot of papers to contact other organizations about employment!
I was also given the wrong copy of my resume that was in their system. So I had to find the right copy and make changes.
I sat there an hour or more before that staff person was at work.
I have never got the assistance that I really needed from this agency. I have always ended finding my own jobs.
There is a desk to the right and cubicle to the left with numbers. I just don't know how things work in here. There is no one there to tell you anything. You are on you own.
I want to work! I am not trying to live off the government!
If I can fix and program cell phones, configure computers, and teach/explain how certain software works, I can do it as employment!
Don't Expect Much Help from this Agency!

This is another one of the District Government businesses! Long wait to be seen by a career counselor, then when I did get to see one, all she did was give me a bunch of papers as to where to apply for a job.
I went there seeking help on how to word my resume after being out of work from a long illness.
There were no questions asked about what I wanted to do, what my interest are, what do I think I am good at! No , just shoved me a bunch of papers.
I have never gotten a job from this office!
When they were located on Naylor Road I use to go every day and help people file their unemployment claims, create hard copy resumes and electronic resumes and cover letters.
I'm not trying to go back to this bad experience! She did not tell me about Congresswoman's Norton job fair last week!
Just really sad! And bad business!
