I was advised that biopsy results would take 2/3 weeks. I called and explained that I’d been waiting 4 weeks, the lady’s response, was wait 2 to 3 weeks, a very strange and frustrating answer, but it was the only response she had until I asked who I should complain to only then did she offer to chase the results. The attitude of the telephone staff after you have paid is very different from when you are booking in.
Sent online form off which included symptoms of pins and needles in left hand and pain radiating from shoulder down arm. Triaged apparently and a pharmacist is gonna call. Rang to complain and got told to call 111. What's the bloody point of a GP practice that you can't go to!
Spoken to 111, the pins and needles/numbness are a cause for concern and need investigation. Not by Bedminster GP's though

Disgraceful. They got rid of phone system and appointments can only be made online so, if you are throwing up or feeling dizzy or having a panic attack you have to compose yourself, get to a device between specific hours, focus, read and answer plenty of questions and if you cannot do this and ring your GP they advise you to call 111. Considering there are many different circumstances, it would be considerate giving choices, this can be a good system and definitely has its pros, however it is not for all. On the top of this, most of the staff have zero empathy.
The most traumatic doctor appointment ever!
I’ve arrived to the appointment 20min late with my 13m old boy who’s been unwell for a week now.
I was very grateful doctor Patel still agreed to see us.
Dr. Patel seams very annoyed that she have to see us. My little boy got scared as she was super unfriendly and wouldn’t bother to get any interaction with the baby.
She just went straight to exam his chest, completely ignoring the poor boy was frightened by her. She came across super frustrated that the boy is clinging to my arms.
She then told me to hold him tight so she can check his ears.
I’ve asked if she can give me a second to calm him down as this was very unusual for him to be soo scared.
So told me she has no time and just push through with the examination completely ignoring the poor screaming baby.
She then quickly proscribed new antibiotics and couldn’t wait to get rid of us.
When I tried to ask some questions she very dismissively opened the door to show me is time to leave.
Dr.Patel I would strongly recommend to consider changing career-a path as you definitely have no people skills and taking care of your patients is not something you’re interested in.
Joined this surgery when we moved to the area a few months ago and they have been great! Very empathetic doctors and my issues have always been taken seriously. Thanks!
Underrated GP
I've had 5 experiences with them in the past couple months and each time has been good. Calling the GP will take 20-30 mins, and the receptionists are fine and are generally helpful.
I've been able to get a face to face appointment within 3 weeks, and they can slot you in for emergencies.
Dr jenkinson and Dr juttner are great practitioners.

I don't want to do a disservice to the good staff here and I want to stress there are some fantastic people at this surgery.

However unfortunately I can't not mention the poor service I've received from one of the receptionists.

Any time I've attended in person I've been told to remove my mask, saying they couldn't understand what I was saying and that I don't need to bother with masks anymore, in a medical setting? Patients could have been really affected by or be high risk or not want to risk compromising their health with covid and to receive this kind of response to me simply wearing a mask as I walk into the reception area is really not okay, especially in a medical setting.

Often this same receptionist confuses the questions asked and then eventually ends up rude if asked too many times. This response can be very distressing for the person trying to receive help.

I'm saddened by the lack of precautions taken to keep the practice safe from a sars virus. It makes a lot of us not feel safe attending.

I want to stress though that there are some fantastic doctors and receptionists here and understand that people are working under impossible pressure in the current climate. But after enough repeat bad experiences with a few members, and not feeling safe to attend an in person appointment I feel I have to raise it.
The last two prescriptions the surgery have sent to my online pharmacy Lloyds Direct have been wrong. In the first instance the quantity prescribed was half what it should have been and the second prescription had the wrong dosage for the tablets. Not only is this very inconvenient meaning that I have to go to the trouble of going through all the rigmarole to contact the surgery to get the mistakes rectified but worryingly that insufficient attention is being paid to get these details correct in the first place. In my case this isn't such an issue other than the aggravation but for other patients with critical needs these specific details could be vital and to get even the basics wrong is simply not good enough. There needs to be more checks before prescriptions are sent out.
A friend recommended the clinic for mole removal. They were very professional and the whole place is immaculately clean. They’ve done a fab job with a mole on my arm, highly recommend.
Highly reputed! Honestly, staff are wonderful and emit so much care and passion for their role. From reception to nurses, doctors and everyone in between from my experience on the phone and in person, they have been so polite, warm and patient with me. Considering the amount of pressure/hours they work they're doing amazing and I cannot commend how friendly and helpful they have been. Very much appreciated! Thank you for keeping the surgery clean, being welcoming and attentive to patient concerns! ✨
Very straightforward, helpful and kind. Very pleased, thankyou.
As a smoker I found that my lips were looking really thin and crinkly. I had tried lip fillers once before at the local beauty salon and they did make a difference but I wasn’t quite happy with the way they were done, they were a bit uneven and not really natural looking. A friend recommended Dr Chambers at Cosmedics in Clifton and I have to say he was brilliant. He understood what I was after and I could tell the way he was doing the injections he really knew what he was doing. My lips looked really lovely afterwards not too full but right for me and my age. I actually have somewhere to put my lipstick now. Highly recommended."
