First visit to this Trees location, but I’ve been to many of the other locations. The space is clean and comfortable - it’s moderately-sized for downtown and wasn’t crowded around noon on a weekday while I was there. The barista was friendly. I had a veggie breakfast wrap, a slice of strawberry cheesecake (January special), and a cup of Chinese sencha. The breakfast wrap is your standard scrambled eggs wrap with a Southwest touch of black beans and peppers, with a side of spicy salsa. It was good. The strawberry cheesecake had a strong natural strawberry flavour. The texture was nice and light, this one was a bit more mousse-like than most of their cheesecakes. They use high quality tea leaves. My good impression here is consistent with the experiences I’ve had at other locations. Their food is standard cafe fare but notable for being fresh and filling. The cheesecake slices are a good size, not too dense, and all of the flavours I’ve tried so far (which is most of them) are memorable.

Nice food at very reasonable price. Fast and friendly service. I highly recommend this place for a quick lunch in downtown.

Just got into town and was looking for a quick, lite but filling meal close to my hotel. Google pointed me in the right direction with this restaurant as it was exactly what I was craving. I ordered a large seafood noodle soup and a vegan mega sub and both were delicious and cost just under $20. Good quality, quantity and freshness. My food arrived quickly after ordering and the lady who runs the place is super sweet and customer friendly.

The last batch of cheesecake (Dec 31st 2023) unfortunately had a very gummy texture with less cream cheese flavor. This was consistent between all three different flavours we bought. We have been getting slices for the past 2 years and haven't experienced anything like this. I hope that it was just a quality control issue and not skimpflation considering the price for each slice is considerable.

Trees, a chain of coffee shops found in multiple locations, unfortunately, offers coffee that is subpar and somewhat pricey. However, the food, particularly the cheesecake, is quite tasty. The atmosphere is calm, making it an ideal spot for work. I would only recommend Trees for its cakes, as the other offerings are somewhat disappointing.

I've been a regular to Pholicious since 2021, easily over 50 times and they've never let me down. Their food is always top-notch in taste, quality, portion size, price, and customer service - I can't find a single thing to complain about! The flavors are like a perfectly cooked meal at home. The lady there always recognizes me, welcomes me with a big smile, and even remembers exactly how I like my pho cooked. Plus, all the staff are super friendly. I've recommended Pholicious to my friends, and now they're regulars too - that says it all! 🍜

The Missus received a treat from her boys and had high tea with her long time friend, Auntie Rose.

The Missus arrived early but the Secret Garden filled up quickly. She noted the acoustics was quite loud when the place is full. The service was friendly and they adhere to their 2 hour seating time limit. The food was bite size savoury and sweet delights that were more than plentiful for two people. She had enough for a take away so that the hubby could consume at home. The Missus thoroughly enjoyed her high tea outing.

This place is amazing. It is such a cute little spot totally unsuspecting from the outside. The food is delicious, I've had the subs/sandwich here many times.
You are always greeted with a warm and loving face. The staff here are lovley! They always make you feel welcomed and like an old time friend. I couldn't recommend this place enough. The atmosphere is a small family home type vibe. The music is just right to allow you to talk but not be in silence if you're alone. It's always clean and the service is super quick! Plus the prices are great. I could talk for days about how great this spot is. Go out of your way to go here!!

12/5/23. Construction. At noon, sidewalks were closed on both sides of them. Power was cut off to the whole block due to construction for the day. Walked up to darkened location, no open sign, but a crowd milling outside. In a festive mood. “Oh they’re open, just no power. You can order inside!” These amazing folks make everybody feel like family. Legendary. Ambient lighting. They decided they had to be there for their customers. Magical mood. Everybody rolled with the flow. It’s simply that kind of place. So glad I was there to see karma unfold as it should. Kudos.

Had such a lovely afternoon here for high tea! We needed vegan and gluten-free options. They are SO accommodating. Everything was delicious, and beautiful. Amazing tea!! Our server was wonderful.

I used to love Trees, and it is still a good place to get some work done as it’s usually quiet, but some small changes they are making are just not it. They don’t have soup or salad anymore which really were the things that made it a good lunch spot. This location often has no music playing and then the other day there was music with Spotify playing but with advertisements… Their cheesecake remains awesome

Friendliest staff ever, especially the female owner(?)! She is always so attentive and makes you feel welcomed, greeting you with a smile and constantly expressing appreciation to the customers. The food is delicious, flavourful, and very reasonably priced. I love the house special pho and banh mi. I’ve been here a few times and the quality has been pretty consistent. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving Vietnamese cuisine!

This is an awesome place to get pho and other Vietnamese food! I came with a couple co-workers after work and was delightfully surprised. It looks so inconspicuous from the outside but the pho was flavoured perfectly and it was a super reasonable price! It's small l, but quite a few people were getting takeaway so I'm sure that's a good option if there aren't any tables left. I will definitely be going back to try other menu items! The staff are also so kind, another reason to go back!

Trees is a chain coffee shop, which you can find it in various locations. The coffee is not good and a bit expensive. The food is delicious, like the cheesecake. The place is quiet making it a good place to work. Trees I only recommend it to eat cakes, since the rest leaves much to be desired.

I love this place - for High Tea or just a quick cuppa and a snack (all I had time for on my latest visit)! It is so pretty. They have an excellent selection of fine teas, including some special and exclusive blends. Their food is sublime. I usually enjoy their sweet scone with cream and jam. Late in the afternoon, they had no more. But my server suggested a cheese scone, which came warmed and was large and heart-shaped! It was delicious.
My only (mild) criticism is that it can be quite noisy when the tearoom is full or if there are a few large groups. If more was to be done (e.g., with wall coverings?) to absorb sound, it would be absolutely perfect.

I'm always happy to get a fancy beverage, and their cottontail drink was lovely (a milk drink with fruit syrups and whipped cream). The two cheesecake slices we also bought were fantastic and very quickly devoured (about 8$ for each slice).

When we went, late afternoon on a weekday, there was plenty of seating and the cafe itself was cozy and nicely decorated. If I were in the area longer, I would definitely go back!

Nice ambiance, but some chairs were old and shaky.

Limited menu options, I wished there were options to add additional items or customize the order.

Average food quality and taste.
Cookies were good, but not exceptional.
Staff was supportive.

One major concern for me was the price-to-quality ratio. At $52 per person, the experience and food received did not justify the cost. In my opinion, the value was closer to $25 per person. Reevaluating the pricing strategy could help align it better with the dining experience.

Overall, a mixed experience that could be improved.

Place was so aesthetic! A bit antique looking with cute tea cups and decor. Food was amazing and in perfect sizes and portions. Servers were really nice and had a smile on their faces. They asked us if we were celebrating anything before they brought the food. It was my birthday so they stuck a little fondant heart that said “happy birthday” with a candle as if it was a birthday cake. They went out of my expectations to do that and it truly made my day. They customize the message on the fondant for different celebrations, so really it’s such an amazing touch to everything. Overall, we had a great time here. This is definitely a place worth visiting, despite it being a tad expensive, but I assure you, it’s worth the price :)

Easy booking system - I could select that there was a Vegan dietary requirement.

The establishment is very clean and has a very homey feel to it. The decor is good with lots of different tea sets places around the room. Good spacing between tables and doesn't feel too crowded, even when it's busy.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Lots of checking in too, to make sure we are doing ok. At times a little too much haste with the plate collection, as my partner's plate was attempted to be taken twice when it wasn't finished with. Secondly, one of the berry crumbles had no crumble on top. Thankfully our server went and got another one for us. Everything else had so much time and effort put into the food. It was a shame about this one thing. It was obvious it was a different amount too. (Picture attached).

The price (I feel) was steep for what is served. One benefit, you could try any tea after your first at no extra cost. It would have been nice to also keep the tea menu at the table after ordering. I also understand why it isn't...

Overall Experience - 4/5

This was my first time having high tea here. I was really looking forward to this place with all the hype and reviews people have been giving but after being there for two hours and paying more than 80$ per person, I would not come back. I mean, the atmosphere and food were mediocre. Don’t get me wrong, their high tea set is cute to look at, but flavours were really nothing that extraordinary. Their high tea set comes in three tiers. My favourite was their bottom tier, which was all savoury. It’s questionable whether or not their pastries are baked on a daily as their scones are kinda dry and the frosting on their “cupcake” was stiff and not fluffy like it is when fresh. Their selection of teas was just right. Our server didn’t seem to wanna bother with us besides taking our order and asking us to pack. Overall, nothing that special about this place but people’s pictures. Give it a try for yourself, but be warned. 😅🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh. And there’s no parking, so you gotta figure that out on your own.

I like Trees (a little too much) and I go to the one on Granville street a lot because it’s close to where I live.  Trees on Davie Street is another one of those coffee shops that I "usually" walk by all the time but rarely stop.  However, when I do stop here it’s a good experience.

Trees Organic on Davie Street has a very Davie Street vibe.  I can’t really describe it exactly, but it’s kind of a vintage vibe.  Like I was having coffee in someone’s kitchen.  The focus seems to be on people, rather than interior design.  Which is a bold marketing decision.  My pictures don't really do it justice. But if you come here you'll feel what I mean.

The staff are super friendly, so that really helps to set the tone.  I like coming here because I know what to expect.  In a world that is getting weirder by the day, it’s nice to have a place to go where you can feel safe and relaxed.

Wifi is good.  It’s not a big coffee shop but the seating is comfy, practical, and solid.  There are big bright windows up front that afford a good view of Davie Street, if you like to people watch.  Wifi is good, coffee is good, and like all Trees Organic Coffee Shops the chocolate croissants and the ham & cheese croissants, are also good.  I’ve never tried the wide selection of cheese cakes which they are well known for.  But they seem quite popular.

It's a good option for studying, quiet and clean. Coffee was good. Some of the tables are not stabled (rocking) so we couldn't use them for reading or working with computer. Staff are nice
