The food is really excellent and fairly priced. The sangria is tasty as well. The atmosphere is cozy, it’s a good atmosphere but can be tight and loud. The service is however the lowlight by far. Service is neither friendly nor efficient. Servers seemed annoyed any time you need to order. 45 minutes and several reminders to get drinks, with “we are busy” as a reason. You are limited to 2 hours, it seems unreasonable to not service a table effectively if limiting their time, and if a full house is too much to handle to high quality, maybe it’s time to remove a table or two? All restaurants should have high quality service on a weekend night when they control the reservations. Once the food is ordered, the kitchen is very quick to prepare and deliver the food hot and delicious.
With a stay at the Waldorf Astoria, we asked for a great local restaurant. Here it is, only a half block away this hidden gem is hard to match. Fun atmosphere, greatest staff ever, great Tapas menu will filled up on. Don't miss it!!!
Loved Pata Negra, we were 5 with two young adults, the restaurant has so much character, I love the inside and one of our party sat on a throne type seat coming out of the wall. Staff were really helpful and upbeat. Make sure you book, we went at 8pm and it was packed inside and out and they were turning people away. We were not rushed. The menu is a QR code and then you give the numbers to the waitress. The food is fast and fresh and so mouthwatering. The wine (Rose) was so nice, considering there was only one to chose from it was really decent. We tried 12 plates between five, nothing disappointed at all, they were all excellent. It wasn't expensive considering the amount we ate and drank. The Manager was chatty and the atmosphere was buzzing. I will definitely go back when I'm back in Amsterdam. Thank you for a great meal.
We were coming from Turkey and wanted to try sth different in Amsterdam. All the tapas we ordered were perfect and delicious. Wow what a place🥹Atmosphere, the musics and the staff were great. Will definitely visit Amsterdam and this place again;))
As a Spanish person living in Amsterdam for over 2 years now, I must say that this is definitely one of the best Spanish restaurants in town. The place itself is authentic, with its ceramic tiles which transport you to Spain itself and with Spanish waiters/waitresses which is of course always a nice bonus😊 Most Spanish and tapas restaurants in Amsterdam are overpriced and serve small portions BUT here, the food and wine were amazing. We didn’t even have to order that much to be satisfied and truly enjoy ourselves. Friday and Saturday nights there is even more music and atmosphere so definitely check that out too!! Oh and, order the Marqués de Riscal Verdejo😉

Very cool tapas place, we just happened to be walking by and checked it out - sat at the bar since we did not have a reservation which was no problem. Service was super friendly from everyone there! The food was pretty good too - great calamari, delicious patatas bravas and chorizo. The garlic and chili gamba's were a bit of a letdown because they were very soft, but overall reccommend this place!

Really good tapas, loved the pimientos de padron, meatballs, garlic shrimps and croquettes. The churros are a bit different than the traditional ones, they have chocolate inside. Nevertheless very good ☺️
Came here tonight with my two sisters and had a great experience. The waiters were super friendly and the restaurant looked nice, but most importantly: the food was amazing. Every dish tasted great- and freshly made. Also: the cheesecake was one of the best i’ve ever had. Definitely coming back here ᵕ̈
This place was so good, affordable and friendly we had to go back again before we left Amsterdam!! Our favorite was the mussels, we can never get this quality and taste in the US for the same price. 100% worth going out of the city a bit to visit this place. The servers were super friendly and helpful as well :)

All the dishes were really delicious and I would recommend trying the Chef's selection of tapas, because they were the best.
We only found the Sangria not the best and the cheesecake was not fresh. But the rest of the desserts were really good.

Dropped in from the market outside to shelter from the rain and have a beer. The olives we had with the beer were so good that we ordered a few tapas from the very friendly and busy staff. T

Het is altijd een feestelijke gelegenheid wanneer ik daar gaat eten. De meze selectie is heerlijk en biedt een scala aan smaken om van te genieten. Maar het hoogtepunt is ongetwijfeld de verrukkelijke lamskotelet. De sappige smaak en perfecte bereiding maken het een absolute aanrader.
Very cozy place, warm atmosphere and kind staff. The dishes were of the right size if you’re looking for a dinner that isn’t excessively filling. We had the garlic shrimps, the patatas bravas, ribeye, the grilled vegetables and the chicken. I would recommend the ribeye and the patatas, they were delicious. They were also so kind to call us a taxi when we had to leave. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly and fast service. Adana Kebab is delicious, served with finely chopped salad that you must put on a piece of Kebab and roll it in a piece of bread to eat. Amazing taste.
Incredible restaurant, far exceeded our expectations! Recommended by the hotel. We did not have a reservation but it was worth the wait! We will come back here to eat when in Amsterdam. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Lovely Mediterranean restaurant close to Amsterdam downtown yet away of the busy parts of downtown. The restaurant is serving halal food.
Food was great, atmosphere was nice, our host was friendly and helpful. Food was served in short time, presentation was good and food was delicious! I loved the music tracks they were playing and loved that music wasn’t so loud so we still can talk to each other!

I had an amazing experience at this kebab restaurant! The variety of Turkish kebabs they offer is impressive. From traditional flavors to unique recipes, every bite was a delight. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff was friendly. A must-visit for Turkish kebab enthusiasts!
Myself and my partner were looking for a nice place to eat out while on our holiday and this place was honestly such a delight! The place is really well laid out and the food is to die for! The grilled bread with a side of sauce was both of our favourites and really set the tone for the meals to come. We had the Pollo chicken dish and the steak cuts as our mains and have nothing bad to say at all! Super super tasty, good portion sizes and affordable. If your questioning “is this place good”? Don’t even worry about it!
I was already a fan of Duende Dos, so my expectations were high already. Duende tapas bar is in the old Jordaan, no reservation possible (only for groups above 6), but plenty of tables in the terrace, at the bar or in the two big rooms. Although completely full, we waited just 15 minutes and we then had a sit.
The service is really fast, we had sangria while enjoying delicious tapas: pimiento de padron, brochetta de solomillo, questo manchego, a tortilla, croquetas de jamon, tostadas con jamon, fried aubergine with onion. My favourite ones: cheese and the tostadas!

Good restaurant just outside center of Amsterdam. They have a wide range of dishes not limited to Italian food. Staff is friendly and service was good. Food was good as well, smaller portions (but good size) when compared to US means. I had the lamb (grilled) which was good (not perfect), we also had the lamb stew which was actually better. The rice was actually very good. Greek yogurt as dessert which is already a pleasure., which was nice. In general good restaurant.
Pretty typical but average food. Too much fried food on the menu. That’s all for now.
Schönes Restaurant, mit schönem Ambiente. Allerdings obwohl wenig los war, war es doch ziemlich laut. Das Essen hat aber sehr lecker geschmeckt, ist aber auch relativ teuer. Bei den Getränken gibt es viel Auswahl, von Wein bis alkoholfreien Cocktails ist alles dabei.

The food is good, you will end up having a very satisfying meal, but it won’t leave you with the impression of putting it on your list. But overall we loved everything we ordered and it was super good for price.

Wonderful tapas restaurant! Our most enjoyable meal whilst in Amsterdam for a few days. Great atmosphere for dinner and excellent service. Being able to see through the servery I could see the 'stars of the show', the chefs, preparing the food so professionally and taking such care. 5 stars all round!
As a costumer here I could feel the tension of the staff whenever the manager walked by. This man was very rude to his staff and also to us. He kept a close watch on everything which is good but he was sighing regularly, mumbling under his breath and rolling his eyes. It kinda killed the vibe.
Besides this the food was great and the waitress working at our table was very nice.

My Turkish friend recommended we go here, and we weren't disappointed. Authentic Turkish food, with many dishes we were not used to seeing at other Turkish restaurants. Very friendly owner. Lamb especially was excellent: perfectly pink and tender. Also recommend the white bean meze. Very good baklava: not overly sweet, you can taste the pistachio
Really enjoyed the fresh, good quality Mediterranean food here. It was very busy, always a good sign, but they had plenty of staff on who were attentive and helpful. There were vegetarian and vegan options available. We didn't book but still had no wait for a table despite how busy it was. The price was good for the quality of food in a central location.
We stopped and only waited 20 minutes for a table but the wait was so worth it! The samplers were amazing. The mixed grill and the grilled chicken salad were fantastic! My meal was topped off with an amazing chocolate mousse! This is a great option for dinner outside the center of Amsterdam!

- Great service. They were very fast and thoughtful. For instance, they served the salad for kids without spices. The staff were friendly and didn’t make a fuss even though our children made a mess.
- Reasonable prices. The Kebapci mix menu they offered was the full package with the salad and cig kofte. Amazing value for money.
- Good ventilated. Even though the grill is in the eating area, they have a really good hood. No smoke at all.
Cons: (All minor points)
- The eating area is a bit small. It was ok during lunch but I imagine the space gets a bit tight during the dinner.
- A couple pieces of the Çöp Şiş kaburga were a bit chewy. They were still delicious but I think I’ll get the Küşleme instead in my next visit.
- The menu was a bit confusing to me. The Porsiyon side doesn’t really make sense. Even the single skewer ones there are more expensive then the two skewer Kebapci Mix menu. I think they can get rid of that whole part. It would make their offering easier to understand.

Probably a bit underrated. The food was excellent and the service was even better! The staff here have a very positive and engaging energy! Would definitely come back.
Dies ist das erste Tapas Restaurant, dass wir in den Niederlanden besucht haben. Sowohl die Tapas, als auch der Service waren hervorragend. Als Nachtisch hatten wir Crema Catalana mit Vanilleeis. Einfach lecker!

There is the best turkish restaurant in Amsterdam! We came two evenings in a row because it was so delicious. All dishes are individually very tasty and attentive. We felt like we were in Turkey. It is very clear that the owner and employees are passionate about this job. We will definitely come here every time we visit. Big thanks and greetings to all of you🤗Ceren&Akın
Got here right when they opened but it took them about 10 minutes for them to get all set up for customers. After getting seated, we got some bread, olives and some sort of dip for the bread which was really nice. Then we got a round of beers. For food we ordered Guvec which is a lamb stew with eggplant, garlic, tomato and bell pepper. My friends ordered the Baked Chicken which had cubed chicken fillet, mushrooms, onions, garlic, bell pepper, tomato in cream sauce and the Dutch steak which was steak baked in butter. Good food, a little bit pricey, service was nice tho, they kept the bread going which was nice!
We loved this restaurant. Everything we had was perfectly delicious and just the right amount of food. The shrimp, pan Catalan sauce and profiteroles were especially perfect. It was a busy Tuesday night so a few of our orders were missed, but the food in general came quickly. The prices for tapas were quite reasonable, especially compared to the US. We would highly recommend this place!
My colleague had raved about this restaurant, so I decided to take my team there for dinner. At first, things didn't seem to be going too well as the staff appeared a bit curt, but it soon became clear that they were just under a lot of pressure during the busy hour. Once we got settled in, the staff was fantastic! They were friendly, suggested some amazing dishes, and catered to all our needs, considering we were a large group.
And the food... Oh my goodness, it was divine! Every dish we tried was better than the last - the starters, mains, drinks, and desserts were all mouth-watering. I cannot praise the food enough. I'm already planning to return to the restaurant for another fantastic experience.

Turkish restaurant offering decent kebaps, it comes with cigkofte and side salad. Don’t expect the best kebab but i would not say it was bad, if you are in the area just try it. My recommendation would be either Adana kebab or Cop Sis. Don’t forget to order Ayran , Turkish yogurt drink to wash it down.

The food is good, but the way this place is ran it’s really not. It took more than 30’ to get our order and almost two hours to get our food. Until we finished eating it was too late for us to get desserts. They don’t serve water - no tap, bottled, nothing, even if you ask. You get tap water only if you order a jug of wine too (only wine, other drinks don’t count). We insisted a lot for some water and they eventually gave us half a glass each, and charged us 3 euro for it. It’s not much, but it’s the gesture. Water you give even to strangers if they are thirsty and you don’t give to your guests?
We were a large group. Dennis, the host, handed us incredibly well. Talked us through the tapas menu and kept us served with great food throughout the night. Restaurant always busy but didn’t impact service. Very friendly and welcoming. Some vegetarian options. Great fish and meat dishes. Doesn’t take Amex. Would definitely revisit and would recommend again.

They’re very generous with their white bread. On a more general note, much like most middle-eastern spade kabob shops, you get to taste what the Persians would refer to as “underkabob bread”… such quality and deliciousness, combined with a the nature of being hidden under the meat found its way to the Persian proverbs.

Cosy, atmospheric and family friendly neighbourhood, friendly staff and excellent tapas with specialties from around the Mediterranean region, really well done. Good information about the dishes and service, food delivered to table just freshly cooked. Try the pata negra ham, the zucchini bignet and the pimento de padron! Also, sangria 😌
Kebabs were very tasty, however in small portions. It doesn't come with any sides or sauces. Even the bread was kinda hard,9 not edible with the kebabs. It was more like a snack than a dinner! Quite pricey as well - I ordered three dishes and it was over €30 and not very filling either!
Great Turkish BBQ, The best Turkish BBQ in Amsterdam, I had some BBQ in Turkey as well, Kebapci has first class Turkish Kebab, Love it, you can't go wrong, everything tastes really good. I visit this restaurant over and over and every time is a great pleasure.
