The place is good with enough parking space for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The food was excellent, with amazing service. The staff were well-trained and attentive.

Great food, service and atmosphere. We had chicken thakali set. Everything alright. You need to experience Jimbu’s service once to make sure you didn’t miss at least.
Most delicious set meal menu! Absolutely authentic flavors, I've been twice and experienced the same. Highly recommend if in Thamel for Nepali food.

Went there with my family and had a good time.
It was crowded but the service staff were attentive and friendly.

All of us ordered the khana set but the surprising part is we were not allowed to ask for extra veggies. That's the very opposite case especially in the Thakalis where you can ask for added food normally.

Ambience was ok, bit crowded but seems like they are doing well in business.

I really didn't like the fact that security personnel were doing salute to each and every guest. I mean we just ate there nothing impressive we did there. I mean the administration could just say to the guard dai that he can just do simple Namaste. Just my point of view and small suggestion.
Lovely resturant in Thames area with Nepali cuisine and traditional dances. Recommend their full course menus to get to try different dishes. The dances were short and great to give a taste of the multi culture diversity of Nepal.
Setting with a view of the city below. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Nepal.

I’ve heard a lot about JimBu, and finally, I got the opportunity to visit the place. It’s overcrowded, and the management team needs to work harder to manage things better. This isn’t worth the expenses we incurred here.

I hope the JimBu team will focus on improving the ambiance, quality of food, and service delivery rather than just focusing on quantity
We tried momos here. And they serve Nepali style momos which is very different in taste from tibeti/indian momos. The momos tasted better than other Nepali restaurants’ momos. Overall a cute lil restaurant. Price seemed higher than what was in the nearby ones. Service was quick
Lovely traditional Nepalese restaurant. Went for a quick lunch and the food was really good!
Friendly staff and nice ambience!
Authentic and delicious Newari food in the heart of Thamel. A must try if you visit Kathmandu!! This cute little restaurant gives you the vibrant vibes of the Newars with a varied menu, food quality, big portions and cheap prices. I recommend the Khaja Set :)

Very crowded even on weekdays even after 8 in evening. very lively proof that Nepalese are not poor and they do have night life. Famous for its family dining, they definitely serve good thakali cuisine.
Loved the behaviour and friendliness of the staff and owner. They really care about their customers.
Their decorations are very beautiful and authentic. We went there two times. Food is pretty good too but the price could be a bit less.

This is a very good restaurant to enjoy Nepalese cuisine. The food is very good. The portion size is small. This place has a great ambience. It gives you vintage feel. If you want to enjoy Nepalese food and are okay to spend some extra bucks for ambience, then this is the place for you!
Lovely rooftop patio views and very tasty food. I particularly enjoyed the masala papad and the egg thukpa.
Nepalaya Rooftop Restaurant provided a delightful dining experience. The breathtaking panoramic views added to the ambiance, creating a memorable setting. The menu featured a diverse range of delicious dishes, and the attentive staff ensured excellent service. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual meal, the rooftop restaurant at Hotel Nepalaya is a top choice for those seeking great food with a view in Nepal.
We had a very nice and quiet, delicious dinner here. It is a very welcoming, well designed, and comfortable place to eat. The service was great, and there are many good options on the menu. The prices were definitely worth it for the amount of food and the service you get, one of the better restaurants in Kathmandu.
the Rooftop was a wonderful dining experience. One of the Great place! Awesome view, our waitress Ramesh was really nice and professional! the service was fantastic the food was delicious, Don’t miss this incredible restaurant with exceptional views, no doubt we will visit again.
Delicious exotic meats traditional Nepali style in a comfy courtyard restaurant.

Good wholesome sets that come fairly quickly - decent value and neat presentation. Mutton and wild boar options are a must-try.

Chill atmosphere with group seating and not too crowded. Pricing is reasonable around 800 - 1k Rupees per set meal.
Gorgeous food and excellent service here. The delicious food came quickly too. Really lovely decor and atmosphere. We are a group of 12 and we had no problems 😄
We really enjoyed our meal here. The portions were big enough to share with a few other side dishes, and quite tasty. The service was quick and friendly.
I recommend the rice pudding for dessert!

A bit on the pricey side but well worth it.
good minced beef curry, not too salty with gentle spicies and reasoning tastes.
Tendori chicken was ok, a bit intense in its flavour, but, was a good match with nam.
Carrot pudding (kajarko haluwa) was a surprise. It didn't give any hint of carrot by fragrance at all. Kids or anyone afraid of carrot would love it.
The best Indian restaurant is quite a claim, I've eaten Indian food all over the world, and maybe the claim is valid as I certainly enjoyed what I ordered. The only downside is my order took a long time to take, however my food came quickly and it was delicious. Highly Recommended if you're looking for great Indian food in Kathmandu
Good restaurant with friendly staff with a smoking and non-smoking section. We had some good Indian food, Chicken kebab Massala, in the cosy non-smoking section. The brownie was a bit dry, more a chocolate cake then a brownie.
Would fully recommend this restaurant
The best Nepali food we had in Kathmandu without a doubt. The sampler plate was amazing!
Not the cheapest but worth every penny!
Located on the 7th floor of Hotel Nepalaya, this rooftop restaurant has a very good vibe on summer nights. The Nepali tray is very delicious and gives you an experience of Nepali cuisine.
Wow! Their sizzler is by far the most delicious meal I've had in Nepal so far. Plus it has a beautiful view of Kathmandu and the servers are attentive and helpful if you need any direction during your trip. I'll definitely be back!
Located on the rooftop of a hotel.
This place has an amazing view.
Ordered some Chinese. And a sizzler.
I found the Chinese food A bit dry for my taste but the sizzler was good.
It's a calm and serene place to hang out.
Outstanding Nepalese food based on local recipes sourced by the proprietor who runs the restaurant with his lovely family. He and his wife buy fresh vegetables and meat at the market before they prepare dishes fresh every day. The superior quality and taste compared to less expensive places is obvious and worth the small difference in price.

The interior is beautiful and filled with antiques and artwork also collected by the proprietor, Kishan Gurung. He had designers create the interior of the restaurant based upon his concepts including using sustainable materials.

There are two intimate dining rooms spanning the second and third floors. There is great airflow from 3 sides and a view of the street below if you choose to sit by the front window.

Tomorrow will be my third visit and I am looking forward to it!
Had the best indian cuisine for lunch today . We were served a variety of curries from vegetables , chicken and fish. And I have the most unique dessert " carrot pudding " . It is a very interesting taste. Sweet almost like coconut pieces that is blended. Recommend if you are visiting the city.

Overall a nice place to hangout with family or friends. Price may be a bit expensive.
Ambience was good, service was good but the food that we ordered were not up to the mark. Chicken Tandoori was BURNT which is really bad for health, Smoothies felt bland and Chicken Biryani was average.
This restaurant is quite expensive so we were expecting much more than what we were served.
Went there twice. We were happy to see Vegan Thakali khana Set in the menu. They provided us the Aaloo Jeera instead of a curd. That was very sweet seeing them being considerate. The Khana set was prepared fresh. Definitely recommended for worth the price food 🌱
A really nice restaurant with amazing local food for a fair price. It's small, but just is just making the atmosphere better. Also the staff is very friendly. I can only recommend to come here and try the dishes.
Amazing Nepalese restaurant in a beautiful place. The spot is amazing. Wonderful and tasty food. Lovely staff very nice. We recommend 100%
Also wer was sucht, hier
immer wieder gerne
