Possibly the best vegan breakfast in the UK. Great service couldn’t wish for better breakfast. I went back there every day with my wife whilst we stayed in Edinburgh. The best part of our visit to Edinburgh 😃😃👍🏻

Found this restaurant by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the great food, coffee ( especially my CHAI LATTE ), and friendly staff. Definitely stop in as we went back a second time in our 3 day stay.

Excellent vegan breakfast. Vegetable sausage, mushrooms with tomatoes and rocket, guac, beans, potato scone, hash browns and toast. Fast and pleasant service. Lots of good options for everyone. Will be back

Firstly, the elevated paving, no banding showing it it a raised shape,I nearly fell over and as a disabled person that would have been dire. Now to the actual place. After I had manage to stop myself falling by going into the glass door, I went in and was met by a mature CSA who was very pleasant and thoughtful. He was attentive. I sat with my beverage and he brought me a Cs survey receipt to fill in after. These things are a necessary evil, but they should not exist. The tea was lovely, the ginger biscuits, the nicest I have ever had. The cinnamon buns I bought later were delicious everyone enjoyed them. But that elevated portion of paving in a triangular shape is awful and something that banding to show it's there would be good.

Pleasant staff, got my order and my friends order spot on.

They were working very hard and turned out coffees like there was no tomorrow. I got my coffee very quickly even though there were 10 orders ahead of me.

Great price, great staff, great coffee.

So many choices so it's difficult to pick something to eat. On this occasion I opted for a fruit scone and a latte. Scone was huge! Warm and tasty, served with butter and jam. Latte was hot so didn't have to drink it down quickly. Looking forward to my next visit. I might try an omelette as they looked amazing too.

This is probably my favourite Starbucks in Edinburgh. It is spacious, you can always get a seat and it is well located next to Haymarket with views of trains - there's even a balcony overlooking the station which is great in summer.

Great experience with Kenny whilst myself and partner spent the day at the xmas market in the pouring rain, the Hot Chocolate (without marshmallows but with a Christmas brownie) was well received and made our day. Thanks 5***

I’d tried to visit with a friend, but there were no tables available so we moved on. After seeing the food, though, I knew I needed to go back and at least get takeaway. I’m so glad I did, because the spinach and feta pastry and the brownie I got were INCREDIBLE! The pastry was so flaky and flavourful, and the brownie was so dense and chocolatey. I’m just disappointed I didn’t try it until the final day of my trip! I’ll definitely return on my next trip!
Everything about Twelve Triangles is a solid 4-5 stars EXCEPT for the hygiene standards.

I want to rate this place higher. I really, really do. The sandwiches and pastries are delicious, and they have a wonderful selection of international food products for sale too. The only reason I'm rating it so low is because of the hygiene issues my partner and I saw when we visited.

We went in for lunch and bought two sandwiches. We sat at the table directly to the side of the counter; so, we had a clear view of the baristas at work. We watched a barista push some trash down in the bin with her bare hands to make space; she then used those same bare hands to handle and plate our food, without washing them in between. I've worked in hospitality; I know it gets busy and tiring. But no customer is going to want to eat a sandwich that's been handled by hands that have been fully in the bin.

EDIT: Thank you to the owner for their understanding reply. I'm sure the place will improve quickly from here.

The selection of pastries are amazing. Great with speed and courtesy of service as well as nice atmosphere. The fly in the ointment was the flat white coffee.. weak and cold. Ironically there's a book titled The Coffee Dictionary in the corner bookcrate. Will return for the pastries!

Saturday morning in Costa was a great start to the day: central location, quality coffee and a warm atmosphere. I got coconut late instead of soy, but it was 10/10. My new favourite ☕🤪👌🏻

Some staff needs to know they are working in a cafe, and adequately treat customers. Feels like while this place is getting popular, but the staff is getting snobbish. Maybe they need to be reminded interpersonal skills are part of their job, otherwise, a simple robot can do what they do.

The bread selection is fairly poor and disappointing - the baguettes are usually quite hard and certainly not the fluffy French bread you would expect. The drinks are nice and there is a great selection to choose from. The macarons however are poorly made - an empty hard shell and often semi-stale ganache centre which is a shame. The space is fairly small and it can get quite annoying trying to make your way round people, disruptive if you eat in. The service is also quite slow but usually warm. I am yet to try the sandwiches which look good and the patisseries.
I have been coming to this starbucks for nearly a year now, the staff have amazing energy, even when dealing with people who don't know how it all works, they are patient, welcoming, and accommodating, it's like an episode of cheers when you are there if you are a regular!

Special shout out especially for Goodness, always has a big smile and rocking hair styles!

Everyone there keep up the good work, I can be walking into work in a foul mood and just being in your store for 5 minutes helps lighten my mood!

Thanks again guys!

All you expect from a bustling Costa and this one has the added bonus of a marvellous view of busy Princes Street (watching the world go by was never easier) and the stunning back drop of Edinburgh Castle makes this Costa the perfect place for that Sunday morning Bacon Roll & Cuppa, both of which were yummy! 🤩

I found a couple of staff members to be very offhand, rude and really quite disrespectful. At no point in my life have I ever been treated with such disrespect as a customer until I went to Twelve Triangles on Dalry Rd. I have to say, the food is reasonably good to be fair but it’s far from exceptional. I will certainly not be going back there. Luckily, there are plenty of other great alternatives for good food in Edinburgh where you can expect to be treated with decency and respect.

This Costa serves smooth, strong coffee along with great views as it is located in the first floor. There are quite a few stairs to get to it and the toilets are on the floor above, so beware of climbing stairs is difficult for you.
Nice and cosy place with a spectacular view on Edinburgh Castle. Unfortunately, does not provide an Internet access.

There could be another member of staff employed to clean tables, clean the toilet and manage the customers who are waiting. I feel Costa coffee is over priced now with a limited service. It's now not my favourite coffee shop.

It's okay, but not great compared even to other Costas. Three view is nice and there are many seats which are usually occupied.
Main issue here is that somehow the till machine seems to keep messing up many times and slow service down. One time I had to pay cash because the machine totally failed.
Also, there's no WiFi here at all, never.

It’s a nice cozy cafe right next to my place which is a win for me! I had a take out for a hot chocolate and oat milk latte they both were amazing and price is reasonable as well. I asked for a customisation for my drink and the barista made it perfectly! But the next time I went in I was told they can’t customise the amount of chocolate as they said the milk is already mixed with Chocolate so that’s a bit confusing. Previously had their fruit tart which tasted great as well.

After they changed the staff, it becomes the most horrible Starbucks I have visited. They use the flat lid for drink with cream on the top. Don’t order any cold brew in this store, you will get one terrible latte or very bitter drink. And they are using the wrong kind of cream for cold brew all the time.

Costa coffee is the same no matter which one you use.. this place is handy for being in the centre of town... 20 min parking bay outside.. has all the usual hit and cold drinks.. staff nice and friendly.. clean and tidy cafe and the bathrooms are usually clean too..
Can be a bit busy on week days at set times due to people popping in before and after work..

Sadly the macarons I purchased were very stale - the shells were dry and crunchy and the ganache in the middle had hardened. They were unpleasant to eat and not enjoyable at all. Very disappointed! Should not be selling them at all when obviously days old let alone at full price…

First day in Edinburgh, I’m not from the UK, have never been to costa before so was looking forward to trying it out! Was met with rude and impatient staff who had no time to answer my questions about the menu or how it worked. Talked down to me and made me feel stupid for asking questions before / while purchasing. Should have gone to Starbucks or literally anywhere else.
Food and coffee was overpriced for what it was/considering the price of the ingredients to make it. Vege breakfast Bap had barely any ingredients in it. The guy on the espresso machine did a good job of my latte though, about the only positive.
Muffin was dry, bacon roll was mediocre for the cost. Seats were not clean...crumbs and bits all on them. Cost was not great value, however chap serving was lovely and Earl Grey tea was really good. Cavernous dark place with no real character.

Such a sweet place. We were recommended by our Airbnb host and tried it the first morning. The girls were sweet and helpful and the atmosphere in the shop is very nice. It’s clean and uncluttered and bright and airy which, we’ve found, is unusual in this old city where everyone is packed in cheek to jowl. The coffee was good and the almond croissants were tasty.

We had coffees and pastries sitting in, the service was good, every person working seemed to be focused on providing great customer experience which was refreshing for my parents who were visiting from France... We then had French patisseries to take away. They were good but the eclairs tasted like they were from the day before. The baguettes were very authentic. We didn't try the sandwiches but if they are made with the same bread then they should be pretty awesome as the fillings looked amazing.

I've been here a few times now, when it's busy everything goes to pot, continuing taking orders which was impossible for the woman to keep up with. I had a cajun chicken pizza wrap... we got to the table, I sat down and went to eat my wrap, it was cold, took it back up to inform them, the lady apologised then informed me that they had more than one item in the heater so it didn't get a heat properly like it should on its own... so they put it back in, edges burnt...crispy....there were tables lying full of dirty cups and glases, trays everywhere and no where to put them! Not the best costa... 😕

Comfortable cafe with lovely interior decorations. Good food and great value for drink sizes. Very peaceful.
This is a disappointing version of Starbucks. It is the closest one to me and right next to my gym so I visit quite often. The food variety is very lacking and it seems that no matter what day or time it is, you will wait for your coffee a long time.

Petite and perfect unless steps are a challenge for you as there's no other way up.

The centre of town feels dominated by huge franchise coffee shops but look around and you'll find indie darlings like Fortitude. I know there are now several Fortitude cafes but it feels and acts indie to me.

I ventured up those stairs because Fortitude was taking part in the charity 358 rally of local eateries and I wanted to support. I also wanted power for my tech and was pleased to see some small one and two people tables inside and some power outlets.

A friendly greeting welcomed me inside, my order swiftly taken, table wiped clear and I was comfortable. The coffee arrived slightly later and was delicious.

I didn't try and food and I think there's light baking and lunch on offer but, gosh, that coffee. Friendly staff make a difference but Tell Friends About It coffee is a delight.

The presentation was delightful too. A petite mug, no handle, of near perfect brew. The lack of a coffee mug handle may be a safety and accessibility challenge to some, so please take note, but for my arthritis it's a blessing. It means I can wrap my hands comfortably around the cup.

You can buy bags of beans here, and I wish I had. I thought I was at carrying capacity at the time but regret being so timid. Oh well, that's an excuse to go back even though this York Place corner is a little off my usual beaten path.

What a lovely place! Breakfast was delicious, I had the avocado toast with Egg and my partner had the Scottish breakfast and both were incredibly delicious. The coffee was great as well. The staff was lovely 😊 one thing, if you are driving it may be a little hard to find parking. We went on a Thursday morning and found parking in a nearby street but keep in mind it may be tricky on other days when the area is busier.
I think I am getting addicted. Has a person, never use to like coffee, but I now get to buy this twice daily. And the chocolate croissant!!! It is delish!!! Very tempting

Cosy little Starbucks located close to the University.

It is what anyone would expect from a Starbucks establishment; generally good food and drinks, with great service from the staff.

It is a fairly small site, so not very many seats to sit down at. The issues I find that brings the score down is the inability, that I've found, to get a seat each time I visit.
The majority of seats are taken by university students with their laptops out, studying. Where I have no issue with this, it can get a little frustrating when you would like to have a seat with your drink and there are people who have been sat in there for hours.

That aside, it's a nice branch.

Ordered x3 salted caramel frappes with coffee shot in each. I was smirked at by the till operator them the person making the drinks rolled her eyes and crashed around making them. Each of the frappe drinks were disgusting.. if I hadn’t taken them out and drive away I’d have returned them. Sauce sunk to the bottom, cream

You can find great authentic French pastry here !
Although I am not French, but as a foodie with high expectations, their quiche is really delicious, smooth custard with aromatic and warm pastry.
I still prefer English scone than theirs tho,
they don’t serve clotted cream 🤣
The coffee could be better, but it is compensated by the great pastry and macaroons.
Do drop by this lovely place when you are nearby.

They always overcharge you. It has happened to me more than once. I take a small size but they charge you medium.

The other time I gave the exact change and they said there was money missing. I counted them three times!

They take advantage of people for reach the daily budget!
Pleasant staff, our order was quick and easy, the drinks and snacks were delicious, even my brother who doesn't like sweets enjoyed the shortbread. Also noticed there was an outlet in the wall, so if you want a quiet place to work from, this definitely works. The ac was a little strong.

More expensive than other Starbucks in the city with no extra value. There is not much seating and what there is, is not particularly appealing. It is relatively dark inside and for most of the seats it feels like you are sitting in a large cool foyer - which you are.

Quick, efficient, convenient, coffee. Lacks a certain ambience. Would probably be a good place to read a murder mystery novel on a stormy day but I was there on a relatively clear day so I cannot make a definitive comment and I had my drink to go. 4 Star(bucks).

The place is very small for sitting in. Had to adjust with a spare chair at first to enjoy my drink of PSL. Anyways needs to scale up the inhouse sitting arrangement .

This new bakery on Bruntsfield is now a favourite spot at 7 in the morning for fresh baked pastries and coffee. They also do amazing bread and vegetarian quiches. They make the absolute best almond croissants I’ve ever tasted.

After decimating the local coffee shops in the area it seems the business is either unwilling to cover the cost of their staff or the staff are unwilling to offer service to their customers. Biro-on-a4 scrawled signs of 'closing early' with locked doors have become a familiar and regular sight which is particularly frustrating after being chained in front of a computer all day. I shall be avoiding like the plague when other options reopen. I must say the staff manners are a redemption as they are usually friendly and happy to serve, if you can find the establishment open that is.
Always a cool place to stay. Very good service, friendly staff and nice place! The "coffee" is somewhat acceptable, sorry guys but a real coffee it's a different another thing

Nice Starbucks on George Street. Good service but is quite small if your looking for a place to sit down. Like all Starbucks in this area in the world, be prepared to pay more if you sit in and have food.

This is clearly a well kept and clean facility until...... you find yourself in the back. I took a wrong turn and stumbled across this mess! Fire extinguisher and fire exit blocked by rubbish leaking all over the floor.
Always love Starbucks . This one is right outside the station in Haymarket . You can start with a nice coffee Incase you are here for shopping . Plenty tables which are cleaned often to have a neat ambience . Charging points all around make it a bonus . Staff here were friendly and always had a smile on their face . Sat here with a coffee and some food getting my phone charged while my was hopping around shops .

Bread was hard and not as French styled as expected. Cakes were nice but not as tasty as Parisian patisserie styles. Menu nice though, I had a salmon, cheese, salad and chive baguette with a multi fruit tart and a plain baguette.

Nice place to chill out and having my favourite caramel macchiato coffee before continue to explore Edinburgh Old Town. The staffs are friendly. They even allow me to exchange my 2 x 5 Pounds bank notes to small coins of 1 Pounds, 2 Pounds and 50 Pence. There are enough places to charge your phone unfortunately all places are occupied. If you want to use toilet please ask the code from the staffs.
