Me and my wife has been eating in this restaurant. It's was my 3rd time ordering pinapaitan. First and 2nd try ordering this dish is okay but my 3rd times, i felt so disappointed. It's not what i expected... There pinapaitan is like muddy in color, I didn't see any beef tripe. Mostly beef kidney and beef liver...And it's so sour and salty and its no longer freshly cooked.. I will not gonna eat here again...

I usually go here when I drive on the 401.
I love Filipino desert until I found La Isla. They serve ube-ube and more Filipino treats. In a fair rate.

Honest Filipino soul food. You choose your selection on the ground level and one of the helpers will carry your tray up to the dining area upstairs. Free tea and lemon water upstairs. The BBQ skewered chicken was good but a little dry. The goat stew was tasty. All in all, good value.

First time trying Filipino food, self serve and they have seating area upstairs. They even help you to bring the food to your table. Tastes good, try different meat combo with rice. Will try the Super Kamayan Feast next time

Overall, the Filipino restaurant served delicious dishes. However, the food presentation could be improved as it was a bit mixed up. Additionally, it would be helpful if the menu included options for non-pork eaters.
My sister in law purchased two packs of pork chicharon at $18.00 each today. I recommended your restaurant because I was told you serve good and delicious food. Bad decision. The chicharon tasted rancid and very hard. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I was embarrassed for recommending to buy from your store.

Food is generally good. Atmosphere and servers great. Why 3 stars? We ordered $50 worth of food for dine in…And here we thought that the food we will be eating in their dining area upstairs will be hot or even warm. But, yeah, they were all cold. We were hungry, but just lost our appetites and didn’t enjoy eating the food at all. Just ended up taking them home instead.
Finally, it’s BACK!!

I tried their Sinigang and it's sooo good! 😌 Their fried chicken is yummy too and it's only 1.75 a piece! ❤️ Their ice cream as well are soooo tasty and affordable.

I had the opportunity to taste real Filipino cuisine for the first time and I'm glad it was at this place. Everything tasted great, the portions are very large, my Filipino friends said it tasted very authentic, and the staff was very nice and fast. I definitely recommend.

First time trying the Kamayan Feast! 💕
The colors are eye-catching and it's a grilled heaven. 🥰
They serve fish, shrimps, squid, and mussels. They also have BBQ skewers and different kinds of vegetables. Everything tastes so delicious and is grilled perfectly. Nothing is overcooked, except the fish, which is a bit too salty for us. But they serve a generous amount of rice and when you eat it with rice, it's fine. Moreover, when mixed with the shrimp paste, I couldn't stop myself from eating a lot of rice. 🫢 It's indeed perfect for a party or a family meal. 😊

Food was hot and delicious. It may have been busy when I went ( 1:20 pm on a Sat) and after being seated we didnt get served for an hour. I think the moment you are ready, just get their attention so you can order asap. They were very sweet atleast.

As much as I want to give this restaurant a good rating as I think this has the best ambiance and Filipino decor in town, the food service is extremely poor. It was my first time here. I was greeted by a fluent English speaking waiter with an amazing personality (which wowed me). I ordered turunito (literally small as the name suggests) and halo-halo. The turunito came after few minutes but to my surprise, the portion was not justified for 9cad. I took it gracefully as I really liked the store decor. I was so amazed that I took a lot of pictures and did not realize 30 minutes had passed and I still did not get my halo-halo. The crew was reminded politely. 45 minutes had passed and the order was not in. I had to go to the crew area to tell them that I ordered halo-halo which can be easily prepared in 5-10 minutes. I was trying to convince myself to be more patient, but I couldn’t. I would say the halo-halo was very satisfying. However, the restaurant needs to improve their service. They were adequately staffed in my opinion so I don’t see why the service had to be that poor. My cousin who was with me at the time said she had a similar experience at the same restaurant years ago and promised herself not to go back there again. She only did because I begged her. 😅I hope this review will be helpful for the improvement of the restaurant. It has so much potential.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is what started off the experience on the right foot. Plants, decor and seating orientation helped to create the perfect ambience.

The service is where the restarting needs work. After about 10 minutes our table was ready to order… no one came to us after another 20 minutes and then took our order.

Putting the service aside, the food was FANTASTIC. I ordered the vegan Kamayan which had so many different options with its main protein being tofu. They did a great job with proportions, flavours and most importantly, sauces!!

Overall, I would 100% go back but hope the service and wait times was just a bad day and not common.

I really enjoyed how nice and crispy the pork was. I didn't really enjoy the soup too much but the meat was fine.

The gravy and the rice in the sizzling plate is great! Overall a pretty nice option for takeout.

The restaurant needs to improve ventilation, not so nice smell. I tried the garlic peanut, full of moldy ones, not crispy, garlic are dark and gooey not fit for consumption.

Extremely disappointed. While the staff are very nice and friendly they know nothing about customer service. Had to ask for knives. It was a very hot day but they spent a lot of time chatting with themselves instead of preparing our bubble teas. The fish was so overcooked and like leather to chew. It was beyond dry and no sauce of any kind was served with it. The plates had bits of previous food stuck to them. My bubble tea cup had some sort of dark sticky residue stuck to the outside that I could not remove. So many times I had to get up and go to the other room to ask for something.
So very poor service and badly prepared fish.
I would not go there ever again.
The appetizer is sour soup, top notch. This was my first experience with Philippine food and I am ready to try more. Flavorful, colorful and interesting. Some difficulty communicating with some of the staff but regardless very nice. Would definitely recommend to try one of the combos. It's fun, sharable and it feels quite homely. Would go again next time I'm around!

The food is great! I got to try almost everything. I can’t think of one thing that I do not like. It is all great food. Love it! I will be back.
This was my first time trying Filipino food at a restaurant. I loved the experience, and the staff was so friendly and nice. My absolute favorite was the milkfish sisig. It was creamy, and I loved the fish as well. I loved how all the flavors were strong and rich in umami. I wasn't much of a fan of the tres leche, but I was absolutely in love with their Halo Halo, except I struggled handling it by myself. Bring a group of people so you could try a variety of menu items. Their menu literally accommodates different diets as well, which is a bonus. Definitely would come here to try their kamayan as well.
SCAM ALERT!!!!

$15 for a drink, rice and 3 pieces of small frozen sausage! I won't be coming back.

This restaurant has dine in and take-out options. There's a hot table to choose fresh offerings made in the morning.
They have a bbq station outside where they are making pork bbq sticks, lechon manok (roasted chicken).

We order 4 pork bbq sticks $3 / stick. The bbq has a nice char exterior, and meat is juicy and tender. I did find several pieces of pure fat. I would appreciate it if the restaurant would not use the fat pieces on the bbq sticks. Service was friendly but we did have to wait about 20-25 minutes for our bbq. I'm ok as your order is cooked fresh.

We also ordered one pork sisig with garlic rice. The sisig did not have the crunchy pork skin but mainly meaty pieces. Taste was on point nice citrus and savoury seasoning. I like this dish if it was served on a sizzling plate with egg on top.

Overall, I would come back as the bbq sticks were definitely good value. Compared to neighboring restaurants they have the cheapest bbq sticks! They also offer party trays if you're looking to cater your party or event.

The restaurant is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and I highly recommend their Pancit. Incredible!!@

One of our go-to Filipino restaurants in Toronto. We always order their grilled pork (1 order is enough for 2 people, very generous), sampaguita pancit (noodles), and their mixed vegetables. The food is really good and the prices are reasonable, if not cheaper. To top it off, exceptional customer service. The people who work here are all amazing and friendly. Don't forget to bring cash, if not, they accept debit as payment. If you want to pick up an order, try placing your orders online (their website) and pay from there.

Food was delicious and piping hot. Made fresh to order for dinner. The lechon fried rice portion was generous and the chicken lugaw was perfect.

I would imagine this menu to pair excellently with bar options. Looking forward to returning :)

Just had their kalbi, sisig, and kare. Their kare seemed more like pork belly with peabut sauce, which is still delicious, but not stewed. Was hoping it would be proper oxtails. (It's the only reason why I give it 4 stars). Otherwise, the staff and service were great. I'm not a sweets guy, but I had mochi balls for dessert. I'll definitely be back in a few months.
Good times!
This place never fails to impress. Best vibes you can get. Awesome team, awesome food and today we had the joy of being served by mini-super server! Definitely coming back here!
been years that i last tried their food and happen to be in the area and decided to have lunch. ordered calamari, kawali, and karekare. Food still taste delicious. Was surprised to know it is not owned by a filipino but food taste authentic filipino. Service is great!
First time to try a Filipino restaurant in Toronto. This place brings back memories of home. Not only the food are mouth-watering but the service are incomparable. The staffs are just so kind. Must try for sure are lechon kawali fried rice, pancit canton, lomi and crispy pata! Will definitely go back 👍🙏
They serve delicious food. The sinigang na pampano is very good. Crispy pata is crispy and hot. The kare-kare oxtail is flavourful, the vegetables are cooked crunchy and not mushy. The rice is served steaming hot. The halo-halo has lots in it-ube yam, ice cream, corn, banana, coconut, kaong, nata and more. The place is really busy but servers are quick and attentive. The owner is friendly.

We have eaten twice here and so far no complaints. The food was good if for a change you don't want to cook Filipino food at home. My argument for not eating at Filipino restaurants is that I can cook better than the average Filipino restaurants around Toronto.

This restaurant is by far better than others we have been to.
They have delicious fried chicken for $1:50 per piece (!) with a good variety of other dishes; it's a very nice looking little place with great service, just a great find.
We came here before heading back home. The moment we open the door, everyone was so welcoming. We’re a large group so they immediately got us set up in a long table. When we got seated, just warm people welcomed us. We were advised that since we’re a large group that automatic gratuity will be added and of course we said yes.

Our food was made fast, every single dish that we ate was a no frills just delicious food.

The Garlic rice brought memories, it’s made exactly how my Lola (grandma) makes it. I absolutely enjoyed every spoon of it.

Now the Lechon Kawali was for the win! I had to order another serving because it was that good.
It was crunchy and melt in your mouth, how they cook it that way just blew my mind. Its like Hong Kong style pork belly.

The Beef Bulalo hits the spot. The Pancit was all gone as well.

I would highly recommend this place when you’re in Toronto. I wish we have this place in Orlando.

Thomas & The Owner even checked on us and they’re hospitality is top notch!!

Delicious authentic filipino dish. Staff are aslo accommodating! They also have filipino goodies too..💞
Ordered their Kamayan ni Uber eats and we will never consider this restaurant ever again. Everything was OVERCOOKED AND BURNT. I have no idea why they have the guts to give this to their customers, It's not even edible anymore. We tried a lot of restaurant that offer kamayan and this is the worst!

My husband and I had lunch here! The crispy pork rice is my favourite. My husband enjoyed the beef mami (noodles). The quality of the noodles is unexpectedly good, the beef broth is a little greasy thou. The dessert Ube Halo Halo is amazing, full of toppings and flavour!

We had the boodle meal for 4 and it was a lot! Yummy and freshly caught seafood! Generous serving and very polite and helpful staff! Reasonable pricing too. I’ve tried their Uber eats service as well and the kitchen staff accommodate my odd request of extra soup for my sinigang order. Keep it up! Would definitely go back again!
I have been craving Filipino food and a few of my friends all recommended this place. Definitely did not disappoint! The food was tasty and the portions are huge! Staff were friendly. This place gets packed, so in order to seat people, they kind of rush you out as soon as you're finished so they can turn your table around. I'll definitely come back for more pancit and Kare Kare.
Absolutely LOVE the fried chicken here! We stopped in to order some Filipino food but everything was mostly sold out so we just grabbed a few pieces of chicken to go. Boy am I glad because it’s probably the juiciest and crispiest fried chicken in Toronto! I would stop in again the next time I’m up in this area!
Best cuisine, ideal for family and one of my go to Filipino restaurant. Everyone is so warm and welcoming at this establishment. Busy at meal time of course but the wait time is short, very efficient and never been disappointed. I order take out usually, the assorted meat platter is the best, feeds 5-6 peeps, great staff and lots on the menu to choose from.

We have never ordered Filipino Fusion so we decided to stop by Bangku on the way home and try it, the atmosphere was electric inside and made me feel like I was outside at a street market, I loved the way they had it setup inside ... the food was fantastic and I enjoyed trying both the pork and the beef meals that we got, would recommend and go there again for sure !!!
Love their $1 chicken! We come here every Friday and they have always accommodated our special requests. The staff is very respectful and welcoming. Their food choices is price fairly too.

I wanted to try something new and I noticed this highly rated Filipino food takeout/restaurant not far from my neighbourhood. It's a cozy spot with a few low benches and tables for eating in. There are photos of all the menu items on the front of the counter and walls, giving the Tagalog and English names of each dish. The person behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. The price was good. I tried the beef pares silog and the sweet pork silog with rice (which comes with two eggs on top and small side of something similar to coldslaw with a vinegar taste) both dishes were tasty. The beef was delicious. The eggs and rice were good, they have that slightly more authentic flavour than plain eggs and rice youd make yourself (maybe its fish oil?). I want to go back and try new dishes! There was a short line on a weekday evening. The wait is 10 minutes or so for the food. I later learned from my coworkers the next day that the silog was something normally only ordered as a breakfast food. But I thought it was good for dinner anyway!

The place look amazing. It gives you a Filipino vibe right away when you enter the door. Service is good. But it comes down to food, i order Tapsilog, the beef is taste good but it was very tough and i have a hard time cutting them to bite size with my spoon and fork. The egg on my sides are oily. My partner ordered canadian breakfast, and the food are soaking in oil. I hope with my feedback helps them to improve their quality of food served.
The place is clean and the food taste really good. The owner is nice and friendly as well as the cashiers. They have all day breakfast menu which is really good. Overall, it is nice to sit there, watch TFC (Filipino channel) while waiting for your food.
