The whole team is exceptional. Great customer service and wonderful care. We are lucky to have these people serving the community of Seguin. Dr. Padgett fixed my chipped tooth in a matter of minutes. No pain. You can tell she loves what she does. Definitely coming back.

I had an appointment and I received a call 9 minutes before saying it got canceled. When I made the appointment I didn't get noticed that I had to be there 30 minutes before. When i get to the clinic that's the explanation i get after driving 40 minutes well thank you for all that. Great experience!!

while the physicians and such might be alright the lobby staff can only be summed up as either rude, incompetent, or lacking proper communication skills. Since I started taking over helping my mother after her stroke I've had issues with being given the wrong appointment date and time which was clearly written down and double checked, told to come in to hand in paper work but on arrival told by another that we need an appointment, insurance called in to setup a time for us to come in and again given a date and time that these services would be available only to arrive and say they don't do them on the date that the staff said it would be available, and lastly on walk in my mother arrived early and was one of the first to arrive only to get told that the walkin count had been reached and be sent home in pain while others behind her were accepted. My mother is a stroke victim and can't drive herself anymore. It isn't easy to get her to and from a place as i can't be there all the time to assist on certain days. And if you reply about what we can do to make it better .. don't bother .. just monitor and train your staff better. Simple as that . . communicate, double check inputs, verify, accountability, and compassion. You're dealing with people's lives .. act like it.

Just trying to get an appointment was a nightmare. Communication was terrible. Evidently they stopped taking my insurance but never notified me to tell me. So the appointment I waited on for MONTHS was cancelled and I didn't find out until the day before. They put my information in wrong, never called when they said they would, and passed me around. The experience was overall extremely frustrating.

I told the person I was needing an appointment for ADD medication which are controlled substances. I wanted over a month for my appointment. I finally get a call from the Dr. Who informs me he can't prescribe this medication. Waste of my time.

The only reason for the two stars is because i do like Cassandra the PA, truthfully feel that she's awesome. The low rating is only because of consistent rudeness from the office staff and the officer manager who speaks down to you. I'm sure it doesn't matter to them at all that I feel this way either. I'm not going to continue to attend a practice where I'm not valued as a person, and get treated like a child any time I have to cancel or reschedule appointments. I live far enough away that it's sometimes difficult to get to appointments.

Dr Irvin, was extremely attentive and addressed me well. Facts.. will recommend! Front desk was also communicated quickly with me! Aloha

Check in took excessively too long. I made a special trip two weeks prior to update my health insurance. Clerk said they would upload. Checking in this morning it was obvious the special trip netted nothing. I arrived 30 minutes early and a new hire had to in process me. At least 20 minutes additional time. I hedged pre communication new insurance and arrived 30 minutes early. The nurse and doctor were excellent; once I got in. Don’t pre visit to update insurance. They won’t until your appointment.

I've always had a great experience here. Attentive, professional and courteous at all levels.

Seguin Family Health Center is a very clean and accommodating establishment. All staff was very kind and courteous. Dr. Burris and his nurse made me feel very comfortable. They listened and answered my questions. I never felt rushed and was pleased with the treatment I received. Highly recommend.

Dr.Talbot and all of her office staff are awesome! They are always so helpful and quick to see me! The nurse Jesse is always so nice to speak with too! I used to always get nervous about doctors visits! Since I have been a patient in their care, I no longer do. The ease of checking on online for appointments and the patient portal as well really makes things convenient! Couldn't be happier!

poor customer service - front desk doesn't ask your name or date of birth- you tell them why you are calling- they ask you who you see there and they just transfer you- no explanation no "ok please hold " no response they just transfer - as the lady said when i called back since nurses VM stated was the referral dept - they have not chanced their VM and they are really busy after the holiday... and this is why most people here in seguin go out of town for medical care.

Please don't go here!! If you try doing something Dr. James doesn't like he won't approve tests or referrals even after in person he said he would, like a simple calcium score test. My husband's family has history of early heart issues/heart attacks and so he wanted to get early testing on his heart for safe measure. Dr. James didn't approve his calcium score test which is optional pay out of pocket and easier less evasive screening that most cardiologists start with anyway. So we went to San Antonio for nothing for the calcium test, for the office to tell us Dr. James didn't give the ok. My husband called the office and spoke to a lady named Emily who yelled on the phone at him when he asked why the calcium score test didn't get approved after Dr. James said he was all for proventitive testing. My husband called today to make an appointment because hes sick and talked to that same Emily who wouldn't share her last name but said she was the only Emily there. She told him he couldn't get in because mysteriously now hes deemed inactive in the system which he goes regularly for refills and has been for years!! So go figure you don't do what they want or call them out on treating patients ugly then you disappear from there system?? These people just care about sucking money from you not the patients well being!! Do not go here or to EMILY with the office staff. If your established for years doesn't matter either, they pick and choose who they want to see.

Narcissist does not begin to describe Dr. Talbot. I had my first and last visit with her this week. The office is filled with promotional material to try to sell you medical procedures which makes sense after meeting her. Seems she is more focused on selling you things than actually taking care of her patients. Her bedside manner was horrible and she referred to me and another medical provider I’m seeing as “retarded” that’s her exact words, not mine. She spent all of about five minutes with me and it was the most awkward, unprofessional, and rude experience I’ve ever had with a provider. That’s saying a lot since I spent 12 years in the care of the military and the VA and we all know the level of care those providers are known for.

I was referred to NP Bobbi Thomas, actually because I was so sick & couldn't get in to La Vernia clinic.
She ordered scans & extensive tests. I had a great number of problems. Now im seeing a GI Dr Tsen, who is a great also.
She takes time to explain all of my numbers on my bloodwork. I just went back for follow-up & all of the high "bad" #'s are down. She also fitted me in for bladder infection, it was an angry one. She nipped it. She has high standards, so does Dr. Flores. I drive way out of my way to get to see her, & I am so grateful to the Lord, I know He led me to her. Im really so very thankful for Bobbi, she really cares & is highly devoted to helping my body get to a better place. Its in her heart to do anything for her patients, from my experience. My husband now comes & sees her too. Worth the drive, worth my health, worth his health too. I know this is a gabby review, but I needed to get this out about her. She deserves it.

Dr James Rider in particular, and the Guadalupe Family Health Staff in general, have been exceptional health care providers for us over the past 5 years. We moved to Seguin from Wyoming and are in our early 60s. We are fortunate to have good heath, so our visits have been mostly annual check ups. Dr Rider has been especially helpful with minor adjustments in my sinus Rx and preventing infections. He did the same with my statin regimen. Sylvia and I very grateful for Guadalupe Family Health in Seguin.

These reviews make me so sad! Yes, there is a wait, but at what place is there NOT these days, you know. It's a super small facility, but they have the sweetest front desk ladies, that triple check everything! They also make sure to get back to you asap, so you're not playing phone tag; and try hard to fit you in when they can. & the actual Health-Care: 10/10
The PA Dr Thull...needs a building with his name on it! Immediately guarantee you will-at least-like him, and he will listen to every word you have to say, if anything, he most likely already knows what you're thinking. 3 standard appts, and you could consider my life turned around, full 180. Would& DO recommend this place to everyone in seguin. (Intelligent, Intuitive, and Empathetic) They put the "care" in Health-care.

Heather is my provider and she is great. Your receptionist needs to remember that the patients are there priority. Stop what your doing and either wait on the patient or acknowledge them and tell the you will be with them shortly you have to finish up. Tell them to stop ignoring the patients like theres no one there and go about there buisness. The best front desk person is Amber. She does a great job. The rest need proper training dealing with the people that provide their livelihood.

Extremely INEFFICIENT clinic. Got pharmacy wrong, lab orders not given or called to correct hospital. Providers don't do what they say they gonna do. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else !

I always get great service and prompt. Doctors and nurse practitioner and staff are very good listeners and friendly.

Was billed the wrong amount. Have left a message online and called 5 times in two month, still have not been able to talk to someone in billing. I keep getting the statement in the mail, that clearly shows 2 identical visits billed differently. Still waiting on an explanation or for the office rebill the insurance company. If y’all see this maybe please have billing contact me!

I really liked dr rider, but the staff that works there aren't very friendly. I hadn't gone to the doctor in a while and called to schedule an appointment and sense I hadn't been in a couple years they removed me from the system and told me im not longer a patient and would be considered a new patient which they aren't taking right now ... ...I didn't even know they could do that, I thought once a patient always a patient...so without any remorse the lady on the phone just brushed me off and hung up. I find it so rude, and it's a real shame because dr rider is great i hate to have to find a whole new doctor during this time

Normally super sweet & professional, but $120 for an appointment over the phone?! That’s ridiculous

I have tested positive for COVID19. Cannot get Dr. Schuerger to call me. Cannot get an appointment with him to deal with the symptoms. I have the worst nausea; can barely eat or drink. Needless to say, I will not be returning to him as a patient at any time, nor will I be recommending him to anyone else.

Dr. Sullivan is a good Dr. But front desk is unprofessional to say the least. I hung up and called elsewhere. Front desk did not initially even ask what I was coming in for and pretty much dismissed me and acted like I was an inconvenience. Just thought you should know Dr. Sullivan!!

They’re slow & don’t seem to know what they’re doing.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! My mother-in-law and father-in-law have been going here for years and I FINALLY convinced them to find a new doctor. A couple of years ago, they told my mother-in-law she was diabetic which was later found out to not be true. Then they did a similar thing to my father-in-law yesterday. The labs came back with a high A1C number, and said he needs to start insulin immediately. They said his labs from last year showed similar levels but never made us aware and actually said he was healthy. We then received a call today saying they were looking at the wrong chart. So now, we don't know if he is diabetic or not. My wife called to speak with someone again, but nobody knows for sure.

Not to mention the hassle of getting a new prescription. It's a constant runaround. We call at least 3 or 4 times to get a new script. Just steer clear of this place. It is completely mismanaged.

The staff here are rude and un-professional with no people skills what so ever if you are in need of health care seek elsewhere dealing with this staff is a nightmare to schedule simple doctors visits. Dr. FLORES needs to re-evaluate the training of his staff.

I am a new patient at Dr. FLORES office. Dr. Flores is very patient and actually listens. The staff is nice as well. The only reason why I am giving only 3 stars is because I was already promised twice that a nurse will call me back. NEVER HAPPENED!
To the office: PLEASE DON'T PROMISE A NURSE WILL CALL BACK WHEN IN FACT THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN!

I love this practice. I drive from Austin to Seguin anytime I have a medical need and don’t see that changing anytime soon. Dr Flores and NP Bobbi Thomas, are the best I’ve found. They both listen intently and have a strong referral network of providers and specialists should the medical need extend beyond the scope of Family Medicine. It is quickly apparent that their backgrounds are expansive and diverse, giving me a level of comfort that they could pick up on, and identify something out of place. Unparalleled and a cut above. I don’t know where I’d be without them.

We have had many problems with this clinic in the past but this time took the cake...This clinic does not care about their patients AT ALL. Took a full day to get a call back regarding an elderly covid positive patient, first had to jump through hoops getting clinic to talk to us with a legal power of medical attorney on file, finally only to be told that if symptoms worsen to go to the ER... the point was to try to keep patient out of the ER as to why we were calling the clinic in the first place. Not to mention he has had at least 3 different doctors because this clinic cannot keep the same physicians there. Do not use this clinic, we will be switching promptly.

I've been going there for years now, absolutely love Bobbi Thomas! She is wonderful! She truly cares about her patients!

I was living in West Texas and moved back to this area mainly for one factor and Guadalupe family health was it. Dr. James Rider is a person I would trust with my life. I have some chronic medical issues for the last 20 years, so I have seen several doctors, and he is the first to take time and thorougjly explain any issue I had. All the other doctors are excellent too, they do it for the patients and not the $$

Every visit requires an even longer wait: I made an early appointment for today so as to avoid this, arrived early to check in, and it’s still, so far, more than an hour since that time with no progress. I like the doctor but that simply doesn’t make up for this amount of mismanagement. Might have to look elsewhere for care.

Dr. Sullivan and Ms. Gore are wonderful! Our entire family goes to Live Oak so it is beneficial as they know everything happening in our house and make health related recommendations. I highly recommend!

My mother was a patient of Dr. Bobby Thomas. Long story short she needed him to call/refer her to a hospitalist for a biopsy related to possible breast cancer. His office gave her the run around and took over a week to simply make an appointment for her. As a family member, we would obviously like peace of mind on the matter and thought it was quite insensitive for his office to take that long. If doctors don’t get a direct paycheck they seem to care less about their patients.

Thank you Dr Brown for completely ignoring my pain and not doing anything about it. I have now gone from needing Rotator cuff surgery to needing a Complete Shoulder replacement. 5 months they've failed to order my Mammogram, never ordered the Nerve test on my arm and the damage is now irreversible. WellMed is the worst!

Not the place to go if you really need Medical care. Their more concerned about "Covering their backsides" then Patient care. If your in any kind of pain you will get absolutely No help from their Doctors. If you need a Specialist it's almost impossible to get a Referral, they want to keep everything in Office so they can bill your Insurance Company. They only write 2 week Prescriptions so you have to keep coming back. Keep them sick, keep them trapped, and keep them paying!!!

Dr. James, as he is fondly called has to be the best Family Doctor I have had in my 74 years on earth. But he is so much more than your traditional Family Doctor. He is not only a great Doctor but a man with a passion for his job. He really cares about his patients. I was Blessed to become one of his patients by accident. I became quite ill. Being new to Seguin I had not set up my Doctor network. As a result of my illness, he got stuck with me praise the Lord. Dr. James is extremely smart. There is a not a question I have asked him so far that he could not answer. He has been able to take care of most all of my needs with out going to a specialist. And like all great men he has surrounded himself with a great loving staff. He has a wonderful new clinic building as well. Not much more I could ask for. As you can well tell, I am a happy camper.

Dr Talbot is the best! She and her team are friendly and so helpful...thank you Dr Talbot for always going the extra mile for my health!
