Si deseas conocerlo , como parte de un recorrido turístico o deseas asistir a una de sus actividades, te recomiendo llegar por Insurgentes norte, por la lateral , ya que la entrada esta sobre esa parte , por Montevideo , será muy difícil, ya que no hay como entrar o estacionarse. Un lugar modesto, Pero muy adecuado que te invita a la reflexión.
el padre hace comentarios machistas como, las mujeres son las que tienen que agarrar la escoba etc. Muy mala experiencia con ese Padre, además comprar una misa ahí es un robo, eh comprado varias y he visto que en sus notas de remisión el número no es consecuente por ejemplo N.23 01/10/23 y la otra N.10 05/12/23. Si van a robar que no sea con tanto descaro.
Me encanta este santuario, los adornos navideños hechos por nuestros artesanos indígenas están increíbles y las misas muy bonitas vayan !! :)

This is the old temple of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is right by the Basílica de Guadalupe. The beauty of this old complex is (it was built in the 1700’s) is that it was bombed in 1921, but the old basilica stayed intact. After the bomb, it suffered major damages that almost caused it to collapse.
You can se some of the damages inside, how the church is collapsing to one of its sides, but remains firm. You can feel it when you walk through it.
You can se the pictures of it. Mexicans poured out tons and tons of concrete under the basilica to prevent it from collapsing.
To me, it was more impressive that the current basilica.

Huge new church with great modern design, surrounded by 2 older smaller churches. The 2nd biggest christian pilgrimage site in the world, after Vatican.
Beautiful basilica. Intricate and meticulous decoration within. Very crowded and busy with both local visitors and tourists. Worth a visit
Basilica de Guadalupe is an essential visit for anyone, but as a Catholic, it holds a profound significance. The serenity and sheer beauty of the place engulfed me with a sense of peace and awe. Being able to witness the Virgen de Guadalupe multiple times was a deeply moving experience. This sacred site exudes a tranquility that touched my soul.
I made the trip to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe fifty years ago with my family and can remember as an impressionable fifteen-year-old seeing the faithful walk on hands and knees to the shrine. Now the devoted ride by the image of the virgen revealed to Juan Diego on a conveyor belt.
Beautiful Church. Most definitely something every believer should experience at least once in their life time. Feels very peaceful and spiritual. They do have parking near by. We went on a tour during the week and it was a lot less crowded than when we went on actual Sunday. They do the blessings on the side of the church for all your items and yourself as well. Mass its almost every hour and taking a walk to the chapel on the hill its a most.

It is a very old and historic building. This use to be the old basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. A new one was constructed because this one is sinking. You can tell how it is a little tilted when you walk inside of it. It has huge beautiful old paintings along th walls. Beautiful art and decoration. It is right next to the new basilica so you can visit both on the same day. There are other old and historic temples in the vicinity so make time if you want to look around and visit them all.

You can also purchase souvenirs and have them blessed to take home. I recommend purchasing inside the basilica and not in the stores nearby. Or you could if you so choose and then tale them to get blessed

El Santuario es bonito, decoración artesanal, es acogedor para un momento de oración los Frailes que atienden muy amables, recomiendo que lo visiten.
Basilica in Guadalupe is a huge site. It is a Christian Catholic religious site. It has huge historic significance. It is one of the early site where a church was built and became popular among the locals. Later on, it became a significant site when Miguel Hidalgo included its symbol, and when U.S. and Mexico signed peace treaty there. There are a number of churches and chapels there. This is incidentally the second largest visited Catholic site after the Vatican. The new Basilica is an architectural beauty.
Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and it was absolutely stunning. The old basilica had a 2.7% tilt, which was corrected to 2% in 2002, stabilizing the structure. The architecture and design of the church left me gasping and gave me chills all over my skin. However, I do recommend having a guide with you to explain the rich history behind this incredible landmark. It can get quite crowded, so plan accordingly. If you're planning a visit to Mexico City, this is a must-see destination!
Es el lugar ideal para que tu hija o hija reciba el Sacramento del Bautismo. Hay varios horarios prácticamente toda la semana. Si piensas ir el fin de semana es mejor ir desde temprano para no estar esperando en la fila y con el sol.

Very beautiful place, really recommend getting your picture taken when going up to the original church. The pictures are cheap and very beautiful. There’s a store on top that is very affordable. Very beautiful view. I also recommend staying for the entire mass.
WARNING: if you go to the mercado to get food go in a group there’s a restaurant that will basically surround you a pressure you into their food when there is much cleaner and better options behind them. There’s much better food out of the basilica to but just don’t go to that group.

If you are here for the spiritual part then there is nothing to complain about. However if you are expecting something similar to Fatima or Lourdes you may get a bit disappointed. The architecture of the new basilica is not my favourite. Also there is this massive concrete square that makes the place feel less welcoming. The old basilica and the other facilities are beautiful.

There are three churches. The largest one when you first enter is the new one, It holds the shroud / vestment/ robe that has the projection of the Virgin Mary. You view it on a moving walkway. (Which is awesome because no one stands in your way).
The second church is the old church, it's beautiful and houses many works of art.
The third chapel sits atop the mountain. It's about 8- 10 flights of stairs, but there are also ramps. The ramps are a very steep incline.
It's small, but absolutely stunning at the top. I highly recommend traveling to the top if you can. Photos are not allowed in the chapel on the top of the mountain.
Visitors are not allowed in the church during the hours of service (worship).

I have no words to describe how beautiful this place is. I went early so it was perfect. The later you go the more crowded it is. The museum is amazing. The art is beautiful. You feel a tremendous peace.

Venir a este santuario tan famoso a bautizar a los peques es toda una experiencia. Mucha gente, es necesario esperar formado bajo el sol candente y sólo pueden pasar los padres y los padrinos. No desesperes y con paciencia lograrás tu cometido. Hay ceremonias privadas y comunitarias. Solo tenga cuidado con los estafadores, todo el personal del santuario es de fácil identificación y están muy dispuestos a ayudar y orientar. Cuenta con estacionamiento en el sótano a buen precio, hay estaciones cercanas del metro, metrobús y taxis servicio de WC, rampas para sillas de ruedas. En general, una lugar imperdible de la Ciudad de México.

A very short walk/hike from the Basilica de Guadalupe. It’s worth the visit, it’s a smaller church on top of a hill which overseas the Basilica.

This is the old Basilica that formerly held the miraculous painting of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Its free to enter and look around. Its obviously a lot smaller than the modern building, but because of this it is more intimate. Tere are some interesting details that show fusion of European and indigenous building styles, as the church was built bu native workers and artisans.

Hace unos meses llevamos las cenizas de mi abuela, la verdad no estábamos muy convencidos de la decisión pero al llegar y ver la misa tan bonita nos quedamos más tranquilos y salimos convencidos de que fue el mejor lugar para ella.
La misa súper bonita como ninguna que habíamos visto y la atención fue muy buena, fue la ceremonia perfecta para darle el adiós ya que por la pandemia todo fue muy rápido y no habíamos podido.

Parroquia de Indios, trata-se de um templo construido en 1649 e que albergou a imagem de Santa María de Guadalupe desde 1695 até 1709. o nome deve-se ao fato de que originalmente esta capela foi edificada para o culto da população indígena a la Virgen.

Bella Capilla que se encuentra en el cerro del Tepeyac a un costado de la Basílica de Guadalupe. Se terminó de construir en el año 1787. Inicialmente fue Convento e Iglesia de las hermanas religiosas Capuchinas. Al igual que la Basílica antigua, se encontraba inclinada, motivo por el cual fue restaurado. También se ofician misas y ritos religiosos. Recomiendo visitarla.

Amazing place worth seeing! The fact that it was built in 1666 is just amazing. Climbing the hill was a bit of a challenge so TAKE YOUR TIME! Also please wear sneakers that are not slippery because i wore sandals and i fell on my way down. There are stairs and also a ramp for wheelchairs and walkers. On the very top, they have little shops for you to buy souvenirs, drinks and snacks. The view is amazing from top! Felt very peaceful.

Excelentes misas y bendiciones ofrecida por los padres, les recomiendo contratar la música en vivo ya que las pistas que ponen no son tan buenas.
Los padres super amables y dadivosos.
Tienen rampa para silla de ruedas y aunque no cuentan con estacionamiento la calle es amplia.

Que se a quedado muy rezagado en concluir su total restauración, aunque se efectúan servicios religiosos se ve muy deteriorada la fachada y no se ve para cuándo le den solución.

I love the view of the city from the chapel. The church property is also beautifully maintained, making it a lovely walk up to the top. There is a ramp to the top as well, a big bonus for strollers.
Spectacular! The entire Basilica complex is amazing. Definitely go on a Sunday, if you are visiting Mexico city!! It's a must see!

Una de las mejores misas de la zona ya que el sacerdote da muy buenos sermones actualizados a la vida real y no solo te repite el evangelios como en la mayoría les recomiendo asistir a escuchar una misa de el sacerdote y les va a encantar regresar

Bellísima, está justo detrás del altar de la Basílica. Muchos no lo perciben, por lo que la capilla no es muy concurrida. Es un lindo lugar para reflexionar lejos de las grandes multitudes.
Es un templo construido en 1649 por Luis Lasso de la Vega. Según la tradición, albergó la imagen de Santa María de Guadalupe desde 1695 hasta 1709 —año en que fue trasladada al templo conocido como Antigua Basílica— y el estandarte de Miguel Hidalgo desde 1853 hasta 1896. El nombre se debe a que originalmente esta capilla fue edificada para el culto de la población indígena a la Virgen. Se conservan debajo de la misma los cimientos de los dos primeros templos dedicados a la Virgen que mandó construir fray Juan de Zumarraga en el lugar indicado por San Juan Diego, días después de la por él declarada aparición de la Virgen de Guadalupe. Desde 1531 hasta su muerte en 1548, vivió en este lugar Juan Diego (y en el mismo lugar se conservan sus reliquias o restos), encargado de cuidar el primer templo.6

La misa d los domingos alas 10 de la mañana son para los niños los del catecismo con el padre alejandro explica muy bien las lectura y el santo evangelio ya muy pronto hará mi niña su primera comunión gracias a dios

Tiene una misa en particular que me parece muy agradable a las diez de la mañana los domingos
El acceso al templo no es plano es algo elevado pero igual es un lugar donde se puede entrar a meditar y tener paz interior y estar en comunicación con Dios. Es un lugar místico y de mucha religiosidad. Bien conservado en este caso la figura central es Juan Diego y su devoción a la virgen.
Que puedo decir de mi Iglesia es un buen lugar para orar y escuchar una buena misa ya sea todos los días a las 08h00 y 19h00 y los Domingos para escuchar la palabra de un buen Sacerdote

Beautiful architecture, the facades and the ornament work is beyond me.
It's a beautiful small chapel on top of a hill, you have to climb several staircases to get there. The way up and its surroundings are covered in lush green gardens with several plant species. The first constructions of the sacred site of this chapel began in 1666 when a devout local business couple commemorated the first appearances of the Virgin of Guadalupe and thus began the event by December 12th of that year. By mid 18th century the priest demanded a new chapel more spacious due to increasing pilgrims visiting each December 12th and the now known chapel was constructed in all its elaborate facade.

Tenemos reservada una misa a las 18.30 hrs., por el 9o día de defunción de una amiga; y la iglesia no abre sus puertas, ni contestan el teléfono. Parece inaudito que ni estos recintos tengan la debida formalidad ante la pena por la pérdida de un ser querido. Dios les perdone
