Applied for the baby dedication back in October to be done in December and was hoping to regularly attend afterward. Was told by church I would be contacted however I never heard back. Not an email and not a phone call even though I reached out by email, facebook and phone for a follow up. Curious to know if I was ignored because I indicated I was a single mother. I find it extremely disheartening. I now have my baby dedication booked in January at Faith Sanctuary where I welcome their professionalism after they contacted me right away.

I've been trying to reach these guys for weeks. They provide a great service I heard for us homeless but I can't get a call back to save my life. Been trying to get 2 sweatshirts and hopefully some long johns for the winter. To theirs credit I did receive one phone call but after several calls. I missed that phone call and have been calling ever since. The name is Wallie
The pastor is amazing!!!! The choir is no joke!!! There's a huge parking lot in the front. The only con is that you have to get there at least 15 minutes before the service starts to get a spot. Members are really nice too. I've never been judged by the way I dress or anything. Yes the service is almost 3 hours but it goes by so fast that you won't feel like you've wasted your time. We've moved to Angus during the pandemic. I miss my church so much. I'm catholic but Rhema is my go to church (no disrespect to catholic churches) When I moved to canada from Italy I knew nothing about the meaning of the word of God. I've learned so much from pastor Meikle in 12 years that I even considered getting baptized, which obviously I didn't end up doing since I've already been baptized as a baby. I follow the online service but the vibe is not the same :( I miss the congregation

Absolutely love the atmosphere at Rhema. Worship is phenomenal and you feel like family even before you enter the doors. You are always greeted with warmth. The word....undiluted, great place to learn the application of the word of God in a practical manner.

This place is great to praise the Lord. I found my home spiritualy. God blessed us all. 😍
Today especially was a real blessing. The praise and worship was powerful and you could feel the presence of God in the place. Always look forward to going and expressing how great and powerful God is through songs of worship
I grew up in the Church of God in Barbados, since I have been living in Canada i have been to a different church and i haven't been feeling the spirit of God there. How can i become a member of this church. I really need to get back to where i belong.. Love Dian
Just moved to Canada from Redding California and I am looking for a church. What an amazing place! I gelt at home. Everyone greeted me, the worship was strong and the spirit was thick before service even started. I left feeling full and challenged and hopeful. If you are looking for a spirit filled, black church with bible based teaching where the supernatural is free to operate, come here. Pro tip: Bring really really good earplugs. Until they balance the sound setup you will need concert level ear plugs.
Serene environment and great customer service.
The people at Salvation Army are awesome from the staff to volunteers they have been helping this community for over 15yrs if I'm not mistaken. Services they provide a food bank (must call to arrange appointment and live in area) from what I remember they had bread donations every Friday from local bakery. (call first) They have after school programs and have people whom speak Spanish there.
This is also a church a place of worship the community is fortunate to have The Salvation Army located in a very good spot. FYI their building was part of the community swimming pool where the locals used to change into swim suits back in the day. it was awesome! !

This is such a great place to worship the Lord.
The presence of God is here! The teachings of Pastor Orim Meikle are always so timely. I've been so blessed to have been spiritually fed for the past 9 years in this church. They also have great group of young adults that are moving and shaking the world. Serving as a Sunday school teacher in this ministry is also so satisfying! The staff feel like family and everybody is so welcoming! Love lives here. If you are looking for a church, I would recommend Rhema Christian Ministries.

The mission of Haven of Worship is to provide a venue to believers in Christ where they can worship God in spirit and in truth; to create a solid bond within the local church family; and to partner with Christ in seeking and saving the lost.
The message in this place is biblical and Christ focus. The church is close by York University for those who live around Yorku Village and Keele & Finch area. I highly recommend this for those who are seeking and hunger for God. .
In 1997 near Christmas time, I was out shopping at Walmart when I lost my wallet, it wasn't the money that mattered the most, it was my children's and my identification I was worried about! I was directed to this Salvation Army 20 Yorkwoods Gate, North York, and I was told, that they could help me get my children's and my I.D back, they proceeded to do this for me at no cost, I was extremely happy that they went the extra mile to help me! I was very grateful to them! Years have passed, and I am raising non-perishable foods! As well as mittens, hats, scarves, toys if possible and anything else that can help people in my community have a happier and healthy Christmas! It means alot to me, to be able to give back to my community! I would also like to give thanks to the great people who helped me in my time of need! Thank You to the Salvation Army, I appreciate what you did for me!
