Amazing smash burgers ever had in the whole of MTL and mumamia best fries in the city no cap. lovely experience on the burger day.

We wanted to come here for brunch but we didn't make a reservation in advance so we ended up getting breakfast instead. I ordered the smoked salmon egg Benedict, which was actually offered for both breakfast and brunch. The egg Benedict was scrumptious! The potatoes were warm and crispy. The hollandaise was rich and silky. The eggs were poached perfectly. My boyfriend got scrambled eggs with sausages, which were also delicious. The portions were generous. For that day, this meal kept us properly fueled to explore Montreal for the whole day. For our next trip, we will come back to Brasserie 701 for brunch :)

We tried the Jack Daniel's and the Wild shroom Burger, and both were excellent, but the mushroom one was totally different and must be tried! The Burgers came with the salad and the fries were good! And the portion was perfect too!
The staff were so welcoming and nice!
We sat outside and I enjoyed our experience, we will definitely be back.

I came here for a weekday dinner and the restaurant was almost full when I arrived. I got lucky that I had a reservation.

It’s located perfectly within walking distance from both Notre Dame and old port.

I really liked the vibe; many groups were enjoying their food, drinks or dessert. The staff are helpful and friendly.

I originally came in for an appetizer, but the dessert menu was so attractive that I decided to go with appetizer and dessert. I got lucky that they weren’t out of escargot. So I tried “Escargot in Parsley Sauce” after my complementary bread and butter. I really like the combination of parsley sauce with olives and puff pastry.

I also enjoyed “Rocher Praliné” for my dessert. I’m happy I hadn’t had my main course as it is very rich.

Lovely place for brunch! I had the chicken and waffle plate and it was so delicious. Coffee was also good and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend. You can also make reservations for breakfast and brunch which is a plus.

I lowkey should have looked twice at the bad reviews because this spot was slow as hell on a Monday night. On top of that, we received our order after 3 other tables who were sat after us. The other tables complained. We did not. They were offered free drinks. We just got “Thank you for dining with us”

The only saving grace is that my son said the Bougie Smash burger was delicious. Better than 7th Street Burgers? He said YES.

However, DO NOT get the buffalo chicken poutine. The ranch and buffalo sauce AND the gravy was too much. The fries themselves were soggy. The ice cream machine was out of order so no milkshakes that night. Also, DO NOT order the lemonade. It was incredibly too too sweet. Downright inedible in my opinion. It is to be determined whether we will be back. An hour for a burger on a Monday night at 630pm is not it. I almost left to go to GyuKaku down the block.

We went here for brunch and it was amazing ! The staff were all really polite and friendly. Food was great and the drinks were even better.We want to give a special shout-out to our bartender Cam for his excellent service and outstanding cocktails. We would definitely recommend coming here.

Although I would love to give them 5-stars as I order from them at least once every week but the reason I am giving only 1-star rating is to bring their attention to a long-standing issue. No matter how many times you tell them to make it less spicy, they do not care. I usually order from UberEats and call them each time to make sure they make it mild. Of course they agree on call but it is never followed. Recently, I ordered Paneer Bhurji and called them to say please do not add green chillies. They told of course but the dish was full of green chillies! You can look at the picture I have attached. Don’t get me wrong, their food is amazing otherwise. One of the best in Montréal but they just don’t seem to understand that sometimes people want mild spicy food. That’s the reason I give this rating for food and service. Hoping that they improve on this! Also, sometimes the music is too loud and not matter how many times you ask them to reduce the volume they are not willing to do that.

Caution ⚠️⚠️ I am truly disheartened to have to give this restaurant such a poor rating, but I must be honest about our extremely unpleasant experience. From the appetizers to the main course, not a single dish was enjoyable. Initially, we ordered Honey Chilli Gobi and Malai Chaap, which were passable. However, the gobi was burnt and not fried in fresh oil. The main course was a major disappointment and simply unacceptable. Who makes Paneer Butter Masala sweet? It was overly sweet and excessively tangy. Additionally, the Mixed Vegetable Curry was poorly executed, using all frozen vegetables and emitting a strange odor. Lastly, the Biryani bore no resemblance to authentic biryani; it consisted of undercooked rice with scant vegetables. We had to request for it to be taken back. This experience was a complete waste of time and money. Please don't be swayed by the unfairly high and unrealistic reviews. ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Staff was really good and tried to offer complementary dessert but unfortunately we were totally upset about whole experience. Please request to restaurant look after the recipe.

Tried this little place on Crescent after the Saint Patrick’s Day parade and had a cute little patio. We ordered drinks and they were not bad but seemed like they forgot the alcohol. We ordered food and waited at least 45 minutes and no food came, all other tables on the patio had ordered, got their food and left while we were still waiting. The server was very apologetic but when the food came out the “Chix Dig It” chicken burger was not fully cooked. They quickly made another one and it was pretty good. I am not sure I would actually return to this restaurant because it was really long to wait for the food and it was mediocre at best.

I was recommended this location all the way from VT, so my friends and I decided to try it and we were not disappointed. Right away we were given the best service by our lovely hostess Melissa and they made us feel so welcomed and cared for. We made a mistake on our order and they happily accommodated for us with the best attitude we could ask for. Best place to celebrate our St. Patrick’s vacation.

I don’t know why the people putting 3-4 stars. This place is awesome! The price for food is good, and much cheaper that in another places.

Went there for happening gourmand for brunch we had a reservation so there wasn’t a wait the restaurant was full, so would suggest a reservation, especially for brunch. The food was served very quickly and the servers were very nice. It’s not a brunch that I go out of my way for. I had the lobster eggs Benedict and it was just OK and finish off with the orange crepe which was a bit too orangey for my liking but that’s just my preference. Really nice atmosphere. I’d like to try it for dinner, but brunch didn’t blow my socks off.

i LOVED this place - best eggs benedict i’ve ever had. the ham is toasted to become crispy and has such lovely salty flavor. the hollandaise sauce was some of the best i’ve had as it was so well seasoned. would recommend their mimosas as well!

Went for brunch today to celebrate my friend's birthday in a private room, and I have to say, the service, food, and overall aesthetics were absolutely AMAZING! We were served by our lovely waitress, Melissa, and the manager in a nice suit, Xavier. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us. We will definitely come back and recommend 🤩

I have a couple of things that I would like to bring forward but for the time being my 5 star rating is solely for the food and the upgrade that punjab canteen has achieved by opening this location.

I am an old customer, rue liege location reminded me of punjabi dhabas. Good food, good prices and to the point service haha. I was super excited for this new location and finally was able to come from Ottawa to experience it. First of all, awesome upgrade! What a nice looking restaurant, great vibe, great lighting, good music and clean! Maza aa gya!

Now we come to the food. My fear was that now with the upgrade the food must have gone down as it might get whitewashed to appeal to a larger audience. But when we ordered, not only the presentation had elevated but the taste as well! The achari chicken tikka was so soft, juicy and flavorful.. a must have! You guys are not stingy with your garlic on your garlic naan 😄 it was amazing! Everything we ordered was great! The quantity has sure gone down but the quality has definitely progressed. I don’t think the quantity justifies the prices but it is understandable. I can compromise with that if the quality is this good :). Oh and I had the strawberry mojito.. yum yum yummmmmm!!!

Now we come to the service. The service at rue liege was acceptable considering the vibe of the restaurant but now that you have this beautiful location with such presentable delicious food, I think it is time to train the servers to match that level of service that you guys are going for. I was greeted with a smile at the front, seated nicely by the male staff. The female staff just didn’t seen to be enjoying what they were doing. The lack of enthusiasm was killing the vibe for me which the food made up for. No harm in smiling a little and being polite. I understand that it is a tiring job and we desis are sometimes not the best customers to deal with. I have worked in the service industry myself back in the days and I totally understand the type of crowd we can get sometime. But it is not fair to treat everybody the same way when you are representing a really good restaurant which is progressing so beautifully. A warm smile and a caring attitude can melt the toughest of crowds. This is the only constructive criticism I would give you guys.

Delicious cappucino, unpretentious interior. High quality baked goods.

My wife and I decided that we needed to add some more spice in our lives, so what better way to achieve this but to visit La Cantine Punjab on Queen Mary Road.

We started off with a tummy warming thick Lentil Soup. I ordered the Chicken Malai Tikka which was in my humble opinion, absolutely the most mouthwatering and tender pieces of chicken that I have ever tasted in an Indian restaurant. My wife chose the Chicken Tikka, also a very delicious dish. The portions were extremely generous and the service was friendly and efficient throughout our meal.

So if you would also like to spice up your life, I suggest that you stop by La Cantine Punjab. You won’t be disappointed.

Channa Samosa, Mango Lassi, Garlic Nan and butter nan was good, but Butter Chicken was really bad.

There were two people who served and took the order. The lady who took our order was soo rude to us, but the guy who served us the order was a bartender i think, he is amazing. His service was really good, his attitude was amazing. I gave 4/5 stars for service just for the guy who served us.

My husband and I went there to celebrate our first anniversary. Overall the experience was good apart from the lady’s service.

We enjoyed our meal. The Québec style burger was juicy and tasty. Onion rings were good but expensive. Waitresses were friendly and could serve us both in French and English.

We came here for dinner one evening, we had 2 starters and 2 main meals. The French onion soup was good, the wings were very disappointing, 4 small wings for $13, seems like daylight robbery to me. A few other people around me also ordered chicken wings and were disappointed.

The chicken burger was good, the slaw was very well flavoured and a good portion and the smash burger was ok, very expensive for a small burger.

The service was good, however the pricing for what you get could be improved for certain items. Would recommend you come here to eat if you don’t mind paying over the odds for your food.

We were two couples who visited a restaurant in Montreal. We had a great time enjoying the delicious food, the excellent atmosphere, and the pleasant service provided by the waitress. The taste of the meat in my burger was particularly pleasing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who happens to be in the area.

I’m happy with the pieces of vegan cakes I got here and a nice woman behind the counter helped me by putting them in my own container to take home. The prices were a bit high even with the discount but it’s not a big deal if it’s for a special occasion ☺️ I got the chocolate cake and banana cake

Average. Food was mediocre. Don’t order the honey chilli potato, they just toss it in ketchup and serve that. Chole samosa was good. We order cheese naan and got paneer kulcha instead.
Service was poor. We called for the bill 4 times until finally getting up and paying at the counter. We also asked for takeout containers that we never got despite asking several servers.
Being short staffed is not an excuse for bad service because you still expect tip that you don’t deserve :)

We had bread pakoda, gol gappe , malai chicken tikka, butter chicken and naan and Ras malai. It was all so good. We loved the food and the flavours were very authentic.
I would definitely recommend this if someone wants to have authentic Indian cuisine.
The music at the restaurant was a bit too loud, so that was a bit of distraction in the beginning but once the food came, nothing mattered.

Ordered the Firestorm Burger. Perfectly spiced. Great meal. Speedy service. Quality ingredients. Reasonable pricing, offers a range of inexpensive to more expensive. Next time I’m in Montreal I’ll be back! Highly recommend.

You do a promotion on take-out order, then you refuse and cancel my online order. That is totally the way to shine your business!

We ordered some dishes online and they are totally overcooked and burnt! Inedible! The smell of burnt food is now all over the room. Plus, most of the dishes that this place serves are Chinese food instead of Japanese ones, even though their name is Japanese.

For the record, i was going to Chez Lin but they end up closed. This place is sharing the same location (dinning room). I have to say this is the worse food experience I have ever had in a Chinese restaurant. Literally the worse. Don’t get fool by the 5 stars rating guys. It’s probably from friends and families. I am not going to judge the service and the tax thing they are pulling. I am just going to review the food. Japanese pork ramen (17.99). It comes with cha siu (Chinese pork, you can get a a box of it just little over 10$ at any place chinatown and they taste way better), one hard boil egg and soy sauce broth. How is this Japanese ramen? The teriyaki chicken needs to add 2$ for rice and it taste really bad. The teriyaki sauce was burned. (15.99+2)and the shanghai dumplings (17.99)it’s the type you can get from asian supermarket. I would definitely avoid in the future.

A must try if you pass by in Chinatown! Friendly staff and fun Owner! I end my souper with surprise desserts for free! (*^▽^*) (Tips -catch Mr.Owner for extra sweets!)

I pointed out to them about their cultural appropriation issue to be mindful about, since their Chinese food way exceeds Japanese food and the Chinese owner is mostly only promoting the Chinese dishes, but they insulted me back and said blame Japan for stealing Chinese food and culture instead.

Such delicious authentic Japanese cooking !! with a twist of some Chinese dishes like xiaolongbao which was really good. Owner even gave Japanese ice cream on house for us. Service is a bit slow but it’s made up by his hospitality

Amazing stir fry, we had the Yaki Udon and Yaki Shanghai - a taste of Vancouver or San Francisco in Montreal’s Chinatown, perhaps for those visiting from the West Coast. A real hidden gem!

After reading the good reviews I was hoping for good pastries. Unfortunately that was not the case. I had read about how good their chocolate mousse was. Well they don’t make it anymore. So I ordered a piece of chocolate cake and it was very dry probably not fresh. I wanted to order a decaf cortado, but they don’t serve decaf. As it turned out it’s under new ownership. The staff person was nice though. But It was a big disappointment. I won’t be back.

Warm welcome with big smiles and great energy! I am a big big croissant fan and it was very good, nice soft inside and crispy outside, good taste of butter. Would go back!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff tasty pastries and really good coffee. They proposed to warm a bit my chocolate-almond pan! There are a few tables and WiFi too. Perfect!

Even though there was a small language barrier, the language of good food wins... If you want a touch of Paris France in Canada, you just might find it here...Jadore cafe au last latte and almond croissaint.

C'est un bar très calme et sympathique, le personnel est vraiment gentil et accueillant. Pour une première visite, moi et mon amie à vite été à l'aise. Je recommande à 100% pour une petite soirée entre amis pour boire un verre ou deux. Malheureusement il n'y a pas bcp de choix d'alcool, mais ils ont les classiques et ce n'est pas plus dérangeant. C'est pas trop chère non plus et ils acceptent juste le cash mais il y a un ATM à l'intérieur.

Their croissant is a must-try :) Love it! Would love to revisit the next time.

Cherry croissant had the right amount of tartness, allongé tasted mildly burnt. Had viennoiseries displayed but no cakes or other patisseries... I guess those are made elsewhere and I visited too early (Dec 26)? Will return to try those.
