Absolutely loved the food, beautiful presentation and delicious. Had the carrot & ginger soup, Glamorgan sausages and Pork Belly. Lovely venue and service was impeccable, especially Olivia who went out of her way to make sure our food arrived at the same time and we were well looked after!
Partner and I first time coming here. The service relieved by Brandon was very good he was very helpful and checked in sufficiently. The food itself was superb. We had starters and mains….no more room for desserts. Will definitely be returning…nice atmosphere too in the gazebo with the fire next to us! 5 star!!

I visited The Village Inn, and it was fantastic! The seasonal decorations immediately set a cozy, welcoming atmosphere perfect for the fall. The ambiance is mature yet comfortable, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed day or evening.

Staff were lovely, however the food was overcooked (black, chewy burger pattys), the wrong burger was made, and it was all on the cool side (chips were barely over room temperature).
It took 40 mins to arrive, by which point we were hungry and needed to get on with our trip, so didn't have time to wait for any replacement meals. Generally disappointing.

Food was served already cold , long wait, 8 minutes waiting for 2 slice of toast, one proper burned and other okay ( eatable) coffe served in dirty cup with a big chip and hygiene standards very low on this place.
Food was delicious, nice varied menu and very reasonably priced. We had a starter, main, pudding and one alcoholic drink each which with a 10% service charge came to just over £50 a head. Ate here while staying in Cardiff for just one night and absolutely made the right choice! Sorry we're not closer to come back again!
I’ve been here a couple of times now and this place does not disappoint! The food was perfect and the restaurant is beautiful. The staff are lovely really helpful and always polite. Would recommend this place to everyone 10/10 👌
It is bank holiday weekend. All the staff are running about working hard. All have a smile and are friendly. Can not recommend them enough. We will definitely be back. The food was amazing.

Excellent meal celebrating my sons 20th birthday. Great food, great choice of food, great service, will definitely be back again!

We had an experience day with Virgin for our wedding gift, we went to Cardiff excited for our "traditional afternoon tea" ... but what came out was horrendous, a plate of deep fried food with half a burger which was SOLID and overcooked.
There was a dessert one too, which came out with a waffle and tiramisu... what is British about an American waffle and an Italian tiramisu?

Visited several times, staff are always friendly, food and drinks are very reasonably priced especially with their discount deals. Always a great atmosphere on the weekend however early you visit.
The Village Inn Cardiff, I couldnt recommend it enough! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond. The food is fantastic, especially the sirloin steak which i prefer not on a sizzler out of preference, which is always cooked to perfection. The breakfast there is simply unreal, especially the hashbrown bites. Its the perfect way to start your day. Also the events hosted at the Village Inn are always amazing, bringing a lively and enjoyable atmosphere which is perfect for adult and kids. The Saturday night discos with karaoke are always a blast, and the live band Zion Road, that often visits brings a great vibe to the pub. If your looking for great food or a friendly atmosphere for drinks, I 100% recommend the Village Inn its defiantly worth it.
Tough course for a higher handicapper but was in great condition and wouldn’t hesitate to return!
Sat outside for a few hours with my wife last week whilst in Cardiff for the Pink concert. Wife had a Pizza, nice enough. Drinks reasonably priced for Capital. Bit annoyed that smoking area was right by our table but it happens I guess. Only negative was one of the waitresses had a face like a slapped A@#e all afternoon. I've worked hospitality and it's a tough gig, but if you don't want to serve people with a smile change jobs. Hope review helped.
We came to Cardiff for a hen weekend, and started off with a cocktail masterclass with you guys & ended up staying all night we enjoyed it that much! The masterclass was hilarious, Rhys our bartender was absolutely amazing, cannot express how much his presence impacted our evening. Great location and venue (we even came back the next night 🙈) drinks were great and food was great!! we will be back!!!
Went for bottomless wings and beer as a fathers day gift. Had a great time and staff were helpful to get us settled for bottomless wings, arrived early so had a drink at the bar before table was ready.
The wings were amazing! Really tasty and staff were quick to offer top ups despite it being busy due to euros. Recommended the black heart beer and buffalo wings!
Had a slight problem with one bartender's customer service but the manager Ben was really apologetic and dealt with it amazingly so night was still a big success, thank you!!

I come in here on Tuesday as I was trying to get someone to help me charge my phone even just up to 5% so I could make sure I got home ok. I walked in with my friend and just politely asked the guy with pink / ginger hair if there was a charger I could use he just bluntly said “no”. I said is there anywhere you know where I could use one? (As most shops were closed) and again he just rudely said “no”, wasn’t even annoyed that he couldn’t let me charge my phone for 2 minutes but just the attitude he had a weird vibe.
Had a fab time. Demi made it enjoyable as she was ensuring that the drinks were here promptly. We didn’t have to wait around for another round. Food was really nice as well. I would recommended!

Played at Radyr yesterday with 3 friends visiting Cardiff on a golf break . The course was in superb condition and a great challenge - we thoroughly enjoyed our day . I would particularly like to mention the hospitality and welcome we were shown which was second to none and a credit to the club .

Went in for a quick brunch before exploring the city. Good and quick service, polite staff and yummy food. The chips that came with the burger were probably one of the best ones I've had in a long while. Crunchy fresh and seasoned to perfection. Loved the seating options too. Overall great experience! Definitely recommend this place.

Me and my partner booked a table here for a Sunday roast - it was a surprise booking for my partner but I decided after looking at the menu and seeing ‘slow-roasted leg of lamb’ as well as the many Mediterranean inspired dishes. The food was incredible, it was fresh, quick to come out and absolutely worth every penny! However, the service absolutely outdid the food if that was even possible! We were warmly greeted and taken care of by multiple staff members who even helped me write out a Welsh birthday message for my friend! I have already recommended this place to my friends as there is nothing I can fault especially with the beautiful decor! We will definitely come back again😊
I just don’t know what has happened ! Even if you had asked me a year or two ago this was my favourite hidden gem. Since it seems to have lost all personality. The staff used to ooze vibrancy and individuality, over the last year , one by one each member with any visible Will to be there has left! They’ve recently had a new turn over of staff so I was holding out hope we might get that oomph back, but alas these lot are lacking even more personality, won’t be in any rush to return to what used to be a family favourite!

The staff really are The Three Elms best asset. You could see they were rushed off their feet yet they keep smiling and can’t do enough for you.
The food was very nice and great portion sizes. The only thing that lets you down is the cleanliness. The table was sticky and covered in salt and the menus had something smeared over them. Other than that it was an enjoyable few hours out.

This was the second time we've had Sunday lunch at the Landsdowne. Unfortunately the food didn't compare favourably to the first time! We waited 45 minutes to be served. The food arrived, we had roast beef. Theyd run out of horseradish sauce and the potatoes had obviously been kept warm for hours so they were dried up and chewy. The cauliflower cheese was overcooked and dried up. The gravy wasn't of the same standard as the first visit, tasted very bland.
My guess is success had made them cut corners with the quality so they can churn out more dinners?
My sticky toffee pudding wasn't great, quite tasteless actually.

Lovely welcome from the bar person as we arrived. Just popped in out of the rain and was immediately informed of the two for one offer on. Great choice of cocktails and usual bar drinks menu.
Huge pub so on a wk end I can imagine it would be quite a place to add to the crawl round town and a great spot for big groups.

We attended on the 6th of April for a cocktail masterclass as part of a hen package. And what an absolutely amazing time it was! Sophia was fantastic and made the whole experience even better. I cannot recommend this enough. Thank you Revs for making the bride to he's day so special. The food was great and the alcohol was plenty, and everyone loved the games and cocktail making. Thank you again
We reserved a table for the kids eat free, table was clean and the servers were amazing. The food, wow, even our boys ate their food and they’re fussy. We had a brilliant experience and would recommend brewdog to anyone.

A large group of us booked for lunch ahead of a trip away, Sian our waitress was great, friendly, chatted with us as did management, sorry can’t remember their names, food arrived quickly, hot and really nice, nice atmosphere. plenty of parking
Had a lovely roast dinner. It was very tasty. Only thing I would sat, they only gave us one gravy boat between the two of us. A drop more would have made all the difference. I'm sure if we had asked, we could have had more. If they had just put gravy over the meat, then the boat would probably have been enough. Excellent value....2 roast dinners for £15.49 and there seemed to be a lit of drink offers, plus food offers on different days of the week. If you're going on a Sunday, it would probably pay to book a table. Staff seemed lovely. Plenty of parking. We'll be back .
We had food here and it was amazing. The service and atmosphere was brilliant. We were served by a great guy call Dan he looked after us and made us laugh. We got talking to him and turns out he is from the same area as we are as we were away for the weekend definitely would recommend and be back

I was enjoying my night when the toilet lady at 1:50am (18/02/2024), slammed the door when my friend was using the toilet to relieve her dietary habits (she has IBS), and told us to exit the toilet immediately, despite my friends need to use the lavatory. Once I explained that she needed the toilet for a little longer she shouted at her and said she didn’t care, she needed to exit the toilet for other people to use, causing my friend to get embarrassed and upset. I’m extremely disappointed, as I have been here before and had no issues. I hope that the company will contact me with an explanation for this unacceptable behaviour.

I had an amazing night out this Friday that just went by. Music was spot on and drinks are fairly priced. Unfortunately I did not manage to find the love of my life :(
I went for Sunday lunch in the restaurant with my wife and mother in law. It was a bit draughty because we were sat close to the door. The Restaurant had a really noisy child on the table behind us. I chose the soup and the vegan steak roast, my mother in law went for the deep fried ham hock in breadcrumbs, and roast beef for main course.

We were told by a friend who just happened to come across this pub/restaurant when looking for a family meal venue, that the food was amazing! They weren't wrong, we had a drink in the bar/lounge area which you can also choose to have your meal. I wanted an aperol spritz my husband a beer but were told they only sell the spritz in two as per the size of the processco bottle, that wasn't a problem for us just unusal. The only negative of the bar area is that they have a lovely fireplace with log burner which wasnt on when we were there, but when the staff came into work they just threw their coats/ jackets to the side of the log burner so you could just see a pile of coats, surely they have a proper area to hang their coats etc!. We proceeded to go to the restaurant area which you go through the snug area of the pub which seems mainly the locals catch up, but I'm sure anyone can stay in there. We went in the restaurant area and ordered our meals and drinks. The staff were polite and promt. The food was delicious we ordered the chilli prawns and beetroot falafel for starters and went halves as usual! I had the lamb rump which was cooked to perfection , my husband the vegetarian pie which je said was one of the best he's had. for pudding I had the cheese cake bit found a bit bitter after taste so didn't eat all, my husband the creme brulee which he loved. We enjoyed our night there for my birthday meal and will go again

Having read a few negative reviews I phoned to check that a full menu was available and was assured that it was. Eight of us arrived for lunch and ordered eight different meals. All the food was served twenty minutes later and we were all impressed. The meals were hot, very tasty and nicely presented. The waitresses were very attentive and we were asked several times if everything was satisfactory. Highly recommended.
Popped in around 9.30 on a Saturday night to see the live band. Greeted by 4 security staff pinning a guy on the floor and then escorting him out. Understand they can't control customers but perhaps could have been handled better and should they have let someone in there in that drunken state firstly?

Most amazing bouncer around, Kelvin! Great guy, deserves a pay rise for tolerating us for the amount of time he did aha. We didn’t get the other guys’ name but also a lovely fella. Best bouncers for any club in cardiff, great club as always. 10/10
A fantastic meal with family this weekend. We had a large party with lots of children and the staff were all amazing- thanks so much again for your patience. My venison pie was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. Will visit again
Amazing bands on at the weekends. Always a place me and my friends go to and tend to stay at as the atmosphere is so good! Prices on drinks aint to bad neither, especially their offers. A great size and location.
Avoid at all costs, there are so many other better places to go for drinks or food in Cardiff. The bar staff were okay, but management (some crazy woman) wss absolutely dreadful, she'll be the ruining of live lounge. If you want to be miserable and boring this is definitely the place to go, seems they only want people who don't interact with each other and like to have a song song. Door staff also looked confused as to why they were asking 30+ paying customers to leave who were only singing and 3njoying themselves.
A long way out of town but fairly close to the Cardiff City stadium. And it was worth it. Lovely friendly pub. Loads of real ales. I found some Bombardier again!! It was empty when I walked in but packed an hour later with not enough staff!! Why on earth don't they pay extra staff, organise themselves and get a bumper Boxing day pay out !! After all January won't be busy. It really isn't rocket science. We gave up queuing in the end and went to the Stadium. They really are missing a trick with 3k away fans....considering it is such a lovely unique place...
Great venue with live music all night long. Drinks are good price and lots of good offers on. Food is a bit hit and miss but there are plenty of options on the menu.

Lovely views across the sunny golf course as we ate a delicious and hearty lunch. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating of our young children and allergies in the group. We'll be back again soon.

Keep getting spam emails from someone claiming to be in partnership with Cardiff Golf Club, firstly Graham Anderson, now Darren Lockwood. Been going on for months. I emailed the club secretary about it August but no reply. Still receiving spam emails.
Visited Thursday. Great live music, decent beer, lively mid evening. Went back midnight quieter but music volume still maxed, suggest turning down a bit when bar quieter.
Found this pub whilst away for a few days. Food was fine, quite enjoyable and fairly priced. Not much of a warm welcome from the bar staff though but later learnt there were only two on the shift....probably explained the lack of a smile. Restaurant was dark and needed a bit more light but was okay..ish.....our table, table 2, was a bit wobbly and could do with a bit of attention. Overall, I think 3 stars is a fair score.

Went here for unlimited Wings Wednesday; I must admit it is certainly “High Risk, High reward” as I had to cancel all my plans the next day but it was so worth it. The wings were delicious, the sauce was delicious, larger was delicious and I bet the decor, lighting and atmosphere is delicious. Coupled that with their speedy service, the workers know what we are here for. We had so much meat, it’s like a ‘twink’ during Pride week. Would definitely come back here for more wings.
We were dropping someone off at Cardiff Airport and thought we'd stop for Sunday lunch nearby. We chose the King's Arms, and I'm so glad we did. We we're greeted by a friendly member of staff who guided us through to the restaurant. We ordered 4 soft drinks and decided on 3 roast beef and a roast lamb. It all arrived very quickly. The portions were very generous and came with separate veg. We then decided on rhubarb crumble, lemon cheesecake, and brownie for dessert. All throughout the staff were very friendly and polite. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back 👍
Was here last Friday from 6pm. Great atmosphere and vibe, really nice and welcoming bar staff. Really good pint of Guinness. And of course the live music bands were really impressive. I really need to visit the live lounge more often!

Never stayed out long enough to see the bands at night due to early work mornings but definitely not to be missed. This place is amazing only wish there was something like this in coventry. Always love the food and atmosphere here. Any family events the kids always pick to come here. Food is cheap but always delicious. Toilets aren't great, could do with a deep clean and a revamp. 12 of us had a mains with pint of pop and a dessert each today came to about £150. As you can see in the pics plates are massive, full & delicious def recommend to anyone who asks for somewhere.

We came here the night before our wedding, there was 54 of us. We had originally booked the Fynnon wen down the road, but with a weeks notice they told us they had to cancel. We called the Hungry Horse 3 Elms and they were thrilled to have us, it was the best food, service and atmosphere we could ask for. They were all amazing and sorted everything so quickly. Would recommend them to anyone!
I organised a hen do and chose to go here for cocktail making and a 3 course meal. It was incredible! Our bartender Sam was fantastic and we all had the best time! The food was amazing too, with the exception of the salad which I was told didn't have a dressing, but the rest of it was lovely. Very good portions and it was very hot. Loved every minute!

Great Mother’s Day Meal.
Visited today for Mother’s Day with my Mum, sister and her husband.
Our table was great, sat by the huge windows overlooking an awesome view.
Food was incredible, table had starters of Pate, crab cakes and mushroom soup, whilst I didn’t have a starter I was told they were excellent, they did look it.
For main I had the Sea Bass and the rest of table had the Beef dinner.
For deserts the table had the Passionfruit Cheese cake and assorted ice cream, all fantastic.
Food was absolutely superb.
Staff were all very polite and friendly.
Such a great place to visit, would highly recommend a visit.

Visited with a group of friends on a Friday evening. The restaurant had been recently decorated and looked really good. Tables were set nicely with pretty glasses. Had a great table in the window. It was packed with a lively, happy atmosphere.
The food options were good and prices reasonable. Desserts were delicious!!
The few downsides are: shared toilets with a low water use cistern sink. They were messy and it was not nice stretching over the toilet to wash my hands. Wine choice - they'd run out of house wine so only had pretty pricey wine left (without warning us of the higher price), the main course could have been tastier (more garlic and olive oil in beans).
Looking forward to returning to try the brunch!

The live music is always top notch everytime I've been here. The bands are top of the pops, the Dragonflies was the last band we seen and their version of Seven Nation Army was unreal. You have to put up with egos inside mind few men who think their mustard just give them a wide birth and enjoy your night. The staff were great could of done with a couple of extra pair of hands at the bar little bit of a wait and you had people jumping the que the bar staff didn't know who to serve first. It's worth a night out, though.
Famous Cardiff Pub, in the Canton Markets area, once used by the many rail and postal workers. Sympathetically redeveloped, with apartments. Independant, great staff, cask ales, carbonara style pasta bake was awesome. Friendly locals too, darts and a piano !. Worth a visit , rail and bus easy reach." Current Thing " pub of all ages.Enjoyed my visits.

What a lovely little pub, staff are very attentive and food is amazing. Well done looking forward to visiting again on my next visit to Wales
Attended a Golden Wedding party here. The room looked delightful. The food was excellent and service superb! Xx
Only popped in to watch football on the TV. Stayed all night because of the excellent band playing plus bandoke and the atmosphere was insane! Everyone was dancing and singing. Highly recommend

The urinals in the gents were absolutely disgusting! Obviously not been cleaned in weeks.
Love the bar, however they're policies make no sense.
They seem obsessed with bookings.
I was here on Saturday afternoon 27.11.21, and they turned lots of people away. I counted at least 25 empty seats. Just let people be aware that they may only have time for one drink before the table is taken. (If indeed the reservers bother to turn up).
I walked in and was offered a table until 1530. Fine. I was one person on a table of 8!
Crazy.
What happened to first come first served?

Great pub. Friendly atmosphere with lovely staff. The food is great and reasonably priced for the quality. I love the burgers. I really recommend it. It has a really 'old school' pub vibe with lots of different beer mats decorating the bar. The layout is arranged so there are intimate little corners for a quiet date or large tables in the back room for a large group of friends. Would really recommend.
Absolutely stunning views from the club, really lovely atmosphere in there and all staff are really friendly and happy to help you.

Course in fantastic condition for the time of year, lovely a quiet, greens were like ice which made it very challenging.
Fantastic course in great condition, always had a warm welcome from staff and members.
Not a golf player but looks like a very well kept course, has a public footpath running through from Windsor road to the llantrisant road, have to be careful where you walk as it isn't very well signed, best to have a detailed map.
The food here is *really good* I can recommend the flat iron steak with green sauce.
Good atmosphere, an open mic music on first and last Tuesday. Pretty minimal uncomplicated decor but manages to feel cosy.

Good honest down to earth establishment.
Food is truly excellent. Never had a meal that I did not REALLY enjoy. Generous helpings. Never had to wait long. Staff friendly and helpful.

Sadly the above 5 star review which I left 4 years ago is no longer relevant. In the last 3 months I have had a couple of very disappointing meals at The Elms.
Around 3 months ago I went there for a steak which is served on a skillet with fried onions and pepper. I asked for a medium cooked steak. I was given a white plate with no onion or peppers (they'd run out), and a steak which was almost raw and dripping in blood. It went back to the kitchen 3 times but still had blood running out of it. I gave up and asked for a refund . I hoped that this was just a one off problem .
I visited again last week. I asked for a medium cooked steak, salad and sweet potato fries. I was told that they had run out of salad and sweet potatoes so chose alternatives.
When the meal arrived there were again no onions or peppers which are supposed to be included (they had run out again), and the steak was again almost raw and oozing blood all over the plate. To make matters worse the waitress had an extremely hostile and disagreeable attitude which I found quite offensive.
I am deeply disappointed as I have visited The Three Elms on countless occasions over several years and have always had excellent meals with friendly helpful service until the 2 recent visits. I have also recommended to many, many people.
I have attached photos of the most recent meal, and a previous excellent one to show the difference.

Beautiful place to play golf! Great selection of holes all very well presented and all in great condition! Lovely staff and good prices in the club house!

Beautiful greens, friendly staff and BIG portions. All the ingredients of a first class golf club. Make sure to put Radyr on your list of must-play courses in Cardiff. And if you’re a local, the membership options are a great value.
Good priced meals for city centre. Cocktails were actually more expensive than 90% of the meals, so we didn't get one (£9+ each). Meals did not skimp! Very big portions, was offered doggy bags too. Lovely service, great atmosphere, good singers!
