A well established pastelaria in Portugal. If you are looking for a place to grab a drink and people watch, this is the place. Not to mention you will get fantastic service (you’ll just need to be patient as this is the style in Portugal, also please take the time to notice how busy the servers are as they are running most of the time), but all the servers are super welcoming. Can’t say much about the food as we didn’t order any, but the desserts and pastries are great. We came hear all 4 nights of our stay. You’ll also be able to listen to all the various street performers in the area from your seat.

I don’t know what some of these other reviewers are talking about… that picanha burger (with Gorgonzola cheese) is, hands down, THE BEST burger I’ve ever had in my entire life. Each time I come to Lisbon I go directly to this place for that burger. I dream about it and I spread the gospel everywhere I go. My only complaint is that it’s too small for all that juiciness and amazing flavor. I’ve had almost every menu option and they never disappoint. The fries are crunchy and delicious. Service is always great (can’t beat Lisbon for that). Do not hesitate!!!
My wife and I were lucky to get slotted in the last minute on our trip to Lisbon. We had the Coast To Coast Tasting Menu, and we are blown away with this unique dining experience. This 2 Michelin star restaurant is totally amazing. The food is out of this world, and the service is unparalleled. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The door to this restaurant is locked, so you do have to buzz yourself in. However, the minute you walk in, you can feel that they have a rhythm. The food comes in a pace that is just perfect. You don't wait a minute too long, yet it gave you just enough time to digest and savor the dishes. The sommelier also gives very good wine recommendations that pair very well so the courses. You got to try it.
There is so much to love about this place! The buns are freshly made to perfection, and the burger options are very unique! The fries were underwhelming (could be more crispy and better seasoned). It was good, but I don’t think I would go out of my way to come back since it’s far from where I live.

Burgers there are truly amazing, nothing to complain about.
However, the waiting time is too long because they prioritize Uber Eats orders instead of their actual customers in the restaurant. We had to wait more than an hour to receive our burgers. What a shame.

It was our last night in Lisbon and a huge exclamation point of our trip. I tried to book 4 weeks ago but all sold out. When I called, they were able to give us a spot - and the best kitchen side table. Because our last meal at a Michelin starred restaurant in Athens was not that good, we went for the ala carte menu and ordered all items + desert. What an exquisite visual and pallet experience. Everything was perfect. Kudos to the Alma team 👏👏
Good burger, but portions are not American, and it is supposed to be an American spot. great taste, tho. Fries are also great, but again, just a tiny portion of it. pricy for what you get.
We had a top notch dining experience at Belcanto. The atmosphere was professional but inviting. Interior clean and fairly minimalist with white walls and high brick arches. Service was knowledgeable yet entertaining and fun. Our primary server, Joaō, was great and made the meal interactive and Ross, our sommelier did a great job explaining the pairings. We ordered the classics menu and added the shrimp main course. For wine, we tried the premium Portuguese and regular pairings. While all courses were executed well and flavorful some stood out. I loved the deconstructed lobster caesar salad. The tender crustacean, avocado, and shaved ice like tomato extract were perfect together. Next, the golden egg with truffle was rich and decadent. Scarlet shrimp curry flavor was relatively mild lyered and delicious. Afterwards the pork was just the right amount of grease and crisp. In all the meal lasted nearly 4.5 hours but at no point felt like it was dragging. It was our first meal in Portugal and set the bar high!

Great restaurant—two awesome burgers (ground and double cheeseburger) and delicious fries - that was exactly what we wanted after Padel tournament 😂 everything was delicious. Pricey, yes, but sometimes you want to relax, eat tasty and ready to pay for it. To enjoy. And we had it!
Ordering an American burger in Lisbon wasn't exactly on the top of our to eat list in Lisbon, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burgers we had at Ground Burger. I tried their original ground burher and my wife had the lobster roll, the burger and lobster roll were picture perfect. The patty was so juicy and was lifted by the fillings and the soft/ sturdy buns! My wife is also highly complementary of the lobster roll too, but i didn't get a bite. Can't think of a reason to not give this restaurant a five star, definitely worth a try.
Wonderful cafe/bistro with ample outside dining space. Food including pastries, empanadas, are all very good. Inside restaurant is very well done and comfortable. Great location to have a cafe and bakery foods.
Wife took the "Coast" menu, and I took the "Alma" menu, so we were able to try nearly all the restaurant's dishes. Unfortunately, the complexity of flavors was severely lacking and we chose to skip desserts. My wife described the food as "like the InterContinental restaurant" which, while a ringing endorsement of the hotel, is deeply concerning for a Michelin **.
Worth every cent. We took the 9-course menu, every dish was interesting, different and “something I never tried before”. Loved the dish with egg yolk and truffle dust.

Absolutely amazing food and service. The rice and octopus, the pork, the bacalhau a bras all great. We’ll be recommending this place to anyone who wants to try traditional Portuguese food (we’ve lived in Portugal 3 years and it’s not that easy to find somewhere really good).
The dessert were also fantastic. We had the condensed milk mousse (wasn’t too sweet, delicious).

I give 5 out of 5. I loved the place. We had a table on the stairs with a view from above. The sardines and octopus were fresh and delicious !! They even offered us some sardine because we waited a bit ! I fully recommend ! #Typical portugese experience
Very good! We had a couple of white wine glasses. Also enjoy the friend green beans which were okay. Others appetizers of the beef were delicious (the sauce), but meat not as tender as expected. Shrimp app was delicious, cooked perfectly. Cod main dish was very good, loved how clean it was. A couple of bones but still wonderful.
Great lunch here. A little hard to find, it is inside Hotel Santa Justa Lisboa. Excellent appetizers and mains. David, Melina and Carina were very helpful and made it a special occasion for my wife's birthday.
We enjoyed our dining experience here. It is a busy place and opened for limited hours so it is best to try and make a reservation if you can. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are famous for their sardines, which were good, but we found them to be overly salted. Which I think is a personal preference. I would recommend trying for yourself

Belcanto is by far the best restaurant in Lisbon. The food was truly exceptional, and so was the service. I am rarely impressed by mains, but both the Hake and Sucking pig were truly unique dishes. The dishes on the menu each represent childhood memories of the chef, brought to us masterfully through playful twists (don’t want to ruin the surprises here :)) we loved the service, and had a marvelous time joking and laughing together with the team. The ambiance is also lovely, as the restaurant is inside an old monastery from the 17th century.
What can I say?! This was the best meal I’ve ever eaten in my entire life! Service was amazing, food was divine. Everything about that night was perfect. We went for our 30th anniversary and it was the best meal ever. I don’t eat shellfish and they were very accommodating. We did the Evolution, chef’s choice menu and it was just mind blowing.

Breakfast buffet was very tasty with a variety of options from fruits and veggies along with meats and eggs. The mimosa was perfect and the service was great. Olga, Philippe and Carina were kind and hospitable! Looking forward to another meal
The food is nice - but not as good as I expected taking into account the fame of the place. French fries with rosemary is a game changer - I really liked them. Service was great. The tables are a bit packed - so prepare to sit really close to other people.

It's not extraordinary, the food was just OK. We ordered sardines & octopus. The sardines were not prepared properly: their innards were not thrown away & the inside were not cleaned. Need to be careful while eating because the innards are bitter. Seasoning is also lacking, especially the potatoes. In our opinion, there are better restaurants and it's not worth the long queue & waiting time.

Great spot for lunch! Loved the mixed fish, salad, and octopus. We also tried the vino verde here, which is a must when in Portugal. Customers look like a mix of locals and tourists. Lovely service from our waitstaff. Payment is made at the front in cash or card. We were able to sit down for lunch on a Thursday after a short wait since we did not have a reservation ahead of time.
The worst cafe possibly in the whole of Lisbon. The food was terrible quality, the service even worse. The worst bit was when we raised it with the manager she was downright rude, loud and dismissive and asked us to go and eat at a McDonalds! The rating of 3.7 on Google speak for themselves. They will of course blag about being in existence for years but that’s not an excuse for pathetic service.I actually felt bad for the waiter who was trying his best, the manager though - she was a whole different story. Take my advice if you want your place to do well - get rid of people who are rude; incompetence can still be dealt with.
Exquisite flavors and exemplary service. Had a nice long lunch here; every item was more delicious than the last. Waitstaff was very attentive, which enhanced the experience. If you’re in Lisbon, carve out some time and make a reservation here.
A very good burger - for excellent I would have expected better quality crunchy bread, real fries and overall, a more "artigianale" (tight and crunchy) texture.

An excellent destination for burger aficionados! The burgers are fresh and flavorful, and the extensive selection of beers is impressive. We sampled both U.S. and U.K. ales, which were fantastic. The waiter went above and beyond, allowing us to try various options and providing insightful information on each. We'll certainly be back for another visit!

One of the best meals my wife and I have had (amidst 44 European countries we have visited thus far)! Restaurant staff was very accommodating in spite of arriving without a reservation just before lunch closing. Beatriz was our exceptional waitress-knowledgeable and charming-with excellent recommendations. Highly recommend the carrot and olive starter (extraordinary flavor and creativity). The Rice from the Atlantic was simply delicious (we ended up splitting this due to how large the plate is). Then we ordered both the Apple & Rhubarb pie and chocolate cake. The photos attached do not do them justice (amazing tastes without being too heavy, and amazing attention-to-detail). Cannot wait to return. Worth every Euro and more!

Amazing place and make sure you make a reservation. They have only few dishes: octopus,cod fish, squads. sardines and meat, but the seafood was fresh and so good!! Especially, squad! Prices are also very customer friendly

Rita at the gift shop is the best!! She was so helpful with finding souvenirs, had an amazing attitude, and even helped my mom and me devise a clever way to stay dry in the rain, without spending too much. Such an amazing staff member.
Restaurant hidden in a small street, but worth the visit. Better to book if you want a chance to get in.

Most of the dishes were very good and uniq, especially the tuna fish for the first dish and the Fillet steak with foie gras for a main course. Only the desserts were medium.

Alma, goodness! This exquisite 2-star Michelin establishment did not disappoint me and my friends! Our gastronomic voyage was nothing short of epic, a symphony of textures, flavors, and aromas that danced across our palates. And the impeccable libations - each cocktail and wine a testament to artistry - honestly, some of the best I ever had. But of course, the exceptional service, and the unwavering hospitality bestowed upon us by the entire staff, elevating the evening to a true epicurean delight!

The perfect place to sit in the shade and watch the world go by. We enjoyed coffee and a selection of snacks, including pastel de bachelau. The range of sweet pastries is astonishing so return visits are advised.

Unique place with a pleasant and welcoming vibe, extraordinary cocktails and burgers!
I highly recommend the Monsieur burger and the Banana Colada - drink this slowly and savour it! It’s so smooth and tasty you might mistake it for a pleasant and refreshing smoothie, forgetting it’s alcoholic.

I highly recommend the Monsieur burger and the Banana Colada - drink this slowly and savour it! It’s so smooth and tasty you might mistake it for a pleasant and refreshing smoothie, forgetting it’s alcoholic.

The experience in this restaurant was a real 10/10 points. The staff Ricardo, Alanis, Milena, Phellipe and Nuno did their very best to make us feel comfortable - and we did.
We ordered the cheese plate and tuna tartare as starters, the milk fed viel fillet and the vegetarian linguine as main - and the lemon pie and almond "macarron" as dessert, paired with a nice portwine. Everything tasted really great and we'd especially recommend the tuna tartare and both desserts.
All in all we spent a really nice evening in this lovely restaurant. Thank you!

Great lunch option with fantastic food. The tuna was excellent - especially rare. The vegs was amazing. The veal lunch option was well cooked and the fries were perfect. Ice cream was delicious. Service was amazing. The only minor disappointment was the olive tapnade which had a slightly off flavor. Would go again and again and again.... Highly recommend Olga as a wait person - she made the experience wonderful.
Excellent service. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful in navigating the menu. Great value for the food. Try the lunch special. Tuna was cooked perfectly and well salted. The vegetables were also well cooked and seasoned. My only feedback is that the tapenade is made with black olives, which have a distinctive assertive taste - my personal preference is for kalamata or green olives.
Ignore the guys out on the street waving menus for other restaurants. Eat here!

We picked the only Lisbon wine from the red wine list (which was Quinta do Pinto) and had the best wine during our stay in Portugal! Very strong but excellent taste and structure. Got a table with no reservation - sitting street side - noit really the best views in town… scampi and tuna tarter as starters was good, the veal and the beef for main course was ordered medium rare and came pretty well done 😒 but beef was sliced very thin so the cook did not really have a choice other than preparing it that way… prices are Ok, not cheap but appropriate. 4,5 would be a perfect review but since google does not allow half points the beef made the difference for a very good 4 stars rating 👍
This used to be one of my favourite burger joints but from time to time things start to change and you get a bit disappointed with those. There used to be an option to choose between the normal menu and a mini (the burger is smaller) and that was always nice for people that don't eat that much, but now they took that away and it's only for children, huge step back guys, also the normal size burger got smaller but the price remained the same, 2nd bad move. The food is overall really nice and I normally get really nice waiters. The place is also very cozy rustic modern which is perfect for dinner time and to dine during winter, during summer they don't have an aircon on so it gets a bit hot inside.
Fast service. Authentic food, daily dishes. Good after a visit after the Marinha museum. Very resonable prices for good portions.
Excellent dinner spot. This restaurant has great ambience and very friendly staff. Food itself is 10/10. Great choice if you’re looking to try something a little fancy. I ordered the octopus rice stew and it was so delicious!

Amazing little French pastry shop in Chiado. I had the croissant with cheese and a coffee with milk. It was tasty and hot. Oh and a cream puff.. I will be back

It’s a very old, classic style cafe in the heart of Chiado. We opted to sit outside to watch people and look at the old bookstores next to the cafe. It’s very busy but at the same time relaxing!

The staff very friendly, restaurant very clean, food was great. We had some cod starters and cod with cream and rice with monk fish as the second plates. Dessert the cookie cake and siricaia. I have to unbuckle my belt because we didn't leave a crumb. A little hard to find but worth the search. Google maps will lead you right to the door. Don't pass this place up if you are clis by.
Cozy place to have a burger date night. This Saldanha location is bigger than I expected, with a beautiful wooden interior design and big couches. We ordered their tex mex guacamole burger and the rossini, a gourmet foie gras with truffle mayo. Everything was so delicious and next time I cannot wait to try their special seasonal burgers. On the side, I was glad that I could order a nice glass of wine and cocktail, instead of the usual beer.
This place is awesome! The pastries are some of the best I’ve tasted in Portugal and I’ve been all over twice :)

What a nice place! Very well located, spacious, very clean. My option was Tex-Mex a new option from the menu. The big size in my opinion could be a little bit bigger, but very tasty. The potatoes was delicious but nothing extra. No question I could recommend for a friend.

Encontrado de carambola, íbamos al de al lado cuando nos tropiezamos con este bar de parroquianos, muy pequeño, con mesas unas encima de otras. Menú según plato de pescado o carne elegido, escrito a mano según disponibilidad: dos servicios de sardinas asadas espectaculares, uno de filetes de cerdo (más huevo frito, patatas etc), otro un estofado de cerdo con judías, más pan, bebida, postre y café (más fuera de menú cerveza y agua adicionales): 38€... Otra ronda por favor.

One of the oldest cafes in Lisboa. They have a wide range of sweets and treats which are home-made. They also offer salty options for breakfast or lunch. A definite must-try when in Lisboa. Worth stopping for a coffee with something sweet. The service is extremely effective taking in account the terrace is always full and managed just by 1 waiter. The atmosphere is also nice.

fui almoçar com meu esposo, e presencie uma cena lamentável, de um Funcionaria , contra o outro funcionário na nossa frente me senti constrangida, pois o rapaz muito gentil nos atendeu muito bem com atenção e a senhora destratou em nossa frente .. foi muito constrangedora esta situação … enfim serviço de ótima qualidade mas esta lamentável e desagradável . senhora nos dececionou ... obs meu marido deixou uma gorjeta ao senhor ... lamentável cena ao estabelecimento … obrigado

This might not be the best eating fare in Lisbon, but it offered several vegetarian options, had decent service, was quick and affordable, and had ample inside and outdoor seating so a good lunch or snack spot while visiting the monastery or nearby museums.

Everyone were so friendly and made sure everything is okay. Restaurant looked very normal and just like others but food was excellent. Linguini was so cheesy and good and prawns were flavored very nicely
The owner couldn't speak English. But it's okay. I believe every dish is good. My fish was fantastic. I went to lunch time, wine was included on my lunch menu, so it was cheap price and sososososososo delicious. It's absolutely local place.
I came to the restaurant essentially because the waiter wasn't annoying like the others in the street. He showed us the menu without trying to coax us. The restaurant inside looks very modern an lovely. The employees were very friendly and the dish was very delicious. In all it is a brilliant restaurant for dinner.
Excellent restaurant just off Rua Augusta. I had the Paella de Marisco, which was quite good. The service is excellent and the restaurant is a little bit quieter than some of the others in the area.
