Stopped by Granville Island Brewing while on the Granville Island tourist trail and enjoyed some great beers. They have a variety of beers on tap year-round as well as some seasonal flavours, a good option is to try one of the flights. I got the flight of four and tried the Kitsilano Juicy IPA, the English Bay Ale, the Island Lager and the limited edition Aces-Hi Japanese style lager. All were very nice and came with tasting notes.

Service from Chelsea and the team was great, all the staff were happy to go through the beer menu and offer suggestions.

Would recommend for an enjoyable afternoon of beer tasting!

I’ve been there two times. I love the idea of them having mimosa flights. However it’s impossible to finish the juice with the champagne, as the amount of champagne is obviously too little. Food is average, nothing crazy and it definitely could use more seasoning. Unfortunately it was very hard to communicate to our server… The space is really nice.

Staff are always super welcoming. Tip for first timer: bring your own joints, order drinks & food, and enjoy your time!! I like their downstairs lounge, but sometimes it’s closed due to events or something else. Sometimes I see people bring their board games too.

It was a foodie’s story started from a photo. I found this restaurant from a photo of downtown heritage buildings I took recently. I didn’t notice the sign of the restaurant until after looking at the details in the picture. It was totally a pleasant surprise. After checking Google reviews, we decided to give it a try. We enjoyed our brunch very much. We will definitely go back to try some other dishes on the menu!

I went to Palate Kitchen for my birthday brunch. I had heard great things about it and have been dying to try it out. I ordered Egg Benedict. I loved the fact that the server enquired my preferred consistency of eggs. I like soft runny eggs. The bennys were served on the Ciabatta bread that enhanced the flavor profile of the dish. The hollandaise sauce was yummy and didn’t overwhelm the flavor profile of pulled pork in the dish. The whole affair was yummy. The lamb bistro toast was creatively crafted and lived up-to our expectations. I would definitely go again.
Awesome staff, great food and drinks. Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.

Their fried chicken options are really amazing. It is a nice, cozy place to dine in and portions are filling. It is our regular place whenever we don’t feel like cooking home 🙂
Really cool brewery right by the Public Market. Walked over after dinner to grab a can of mango hibiscus sour to go. The combination of fruit and flower sounded awesome, but the actual sour left a bit more to be desired in terms of flavor. Definitely worth a visit, and if I do return, I might stay and get something on tap instead. 🥭
The chicken burger was one of the best I have ever had. The core range of beers were also very enjoyable.

Atmosphere was really nice, jazzy and casual with a hint of fancy. Eggs Benedict was good, tasty but nothing special. We also got the white chocolate hot cake and it was tasty. The London fog was okay.
A nice place
First time visiting beautiful Vancouver and we had to stop by Stanley Park. It's such a big park we worked up an appetite and came upon this brewery and restaurant! We had halibut fish and chips with two of their beers. Great food and beer, service and atmosphere. So happy we went. Greetings from Las Vegas and the Netherlands!
Many beer and non-alcoholic options with decent grub. Love their patio area for a beer on nice sunny day and people watching. Dogs allowed on patio

The place and atmosphere are great. We were a party of 5, and the clerk charged us an extra cover and refused to charge for the food accordingly. We noticed and asked for a refund on the extra cover. They tried to blame it on us and said they wouldn't be doing any refunds but could offer a joint. We disagreed, as this wasn't our mistake. They got upset and pulled out a $10 bill and said, 'Don't come back.' It's sad that a place that claims to be 'friendly' and 'safe' does not uphold this through their customer service.
Five stars all the way! The service and food were outstanding. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know!!! Great spot ⭐️

This place has incredible pastries and lunch items! We just went here for coffee and we came out with some absolutely delicious food. I can definitely recommend the spinach croissant and both of the Jamaican patties and my friends raved about the wraps and the other pastries, including the croissant. I would definitely go back here anytime I was in Vancouver, what a great surprise. I couldn’t figure out quite where the cuisine originates from.
We had garlic fries, chowder and pork gyoza. All the food was good, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was lovely with a view of Stanley park. So yeah, 5 stars without any issue. Happy hour is 3-6pm, Mon - Fri.

Such a fun experience! You definitely feel like your somewhere in Amsterdam. If your looking for a new, fun experience this spot is for you. Also, the afogado was delish!
Decent place for Korean food! I ordered the beef tofu soup. It comes with rice and side dishes.
Came to shop at 8pm at Sungiven on a Sunday, while the wife and the 3 year-old shopped, the 10 year-old and I sat at the food court to study and wait. A security guard tried to kick us out of the food court saying it is closed (picture attached as she refused to give us a name). She refused to show us why we cannot sit at the food court when a stall was still open (you can see a customer sitting in front of the open food stall in the picture). People were walking about around going to the open restaurant, food court stall and fitness centre. We wanted to complain about the arbitrary policy but the security guard said we just have to do what she says, she refused to connect us with management so we could complain: instead, she called 911. We were leaving and she started to taunt us to stay until the cops came "why are you running away scared?". This is as we were trying to bundle up the two kids to head home. Shame on you City Square ! Never coming back :)

We had a bridal shower here and the communication with Carlo the manager was so smooth! We were able to have an amazing bridal shower. Special thank you to Silvia who was our server, she was kind, attentive, easy to work with and had amazing service. All our brunch orders and drinks were superbly delicious, and the desserts were so cute! Would love to come back again 😊

This is a fun welcoming place to smoke up, hangout, and have snacks. 💨 😊
Actually give it 3.5. Not very many interesting shops but it does have the basics. It kind of looks like a big fancy greenhouse inside.

We ordered spicy pork, seafood soup and half and half chicken. Spicy pork with tofu soup was so good, I loved it. The seafood soup was okay. I didn't like the chicken at all, the spicy side was too sweet and the garlic side was a bit sour. I didn't expect this kind of taste. Overall, I like their services and atmosphere.
Zoomak exceeded expectations. The staff was very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), half and half flavors, and they were so good. Along with the Spam and Bowl of Rice. My wife got the Kimchi Fried Rice and loved it. We were able to sit downstairs without a reservation although the entire upstairs was booked up.
Perfect location. It was busy but it was expected as it was a beautiful day out. Had a flight and nachos which was a great snack after a seawall walk with the dogs. Oh ya dog friendly restaurant always a bonus.
Great place with nice outdoors right in the middle of Stanley park. Perfect location to enjoy a large selection of beers and generous/tasty food. The place is so cool that we came twice while in Vancouver !

Super cute restaurant. Didnt know they were under palette coffee roasters. The name makes sense now. We enjoyed brunch here and shared the french toast. It tasted like cinnamon toast crunch
I recently had a meal at Sumi, and I have to say, it fell short of my expectations. The main issue was the wait time – even for a simple dish like tofu soup, the wait was much longer than I anticipated. On the positive side, I can say that the taste of the food itself met my expectations.
I found the server's friendliness to be lacking. A more welcoming attitude would undoubtedly make diners feel more comfortable and valued. The absence of the customary side dishes at the beginning of the meal was noticeable as well. These small bites add a special touch to Korean dining and help set the tone for the rest of the experience. Serving them before the main dish would be a welcomed improvement.

Google maps mentions the restaurant is open till 12am. And I went around 11.15 pm for a quick bite but they were closed. I brought my in-laws all the way from poco just to try their chicken. Giving them 3 stars only because I’ve been here before and the food is good!

ok this place is actually SO good, I love Korean food but wow, this was just so tasty.

Came with a large party (6+ people) with a reservation. I was impressed with how promptly our party was served, food was all hot and appeared to be fresh. Got to try so many different dishes and they did NOT disappoint. I ordered the sundubu-jjigae which was amazing. It's the first time I've had ground beef in the sundubu-jjigae which was surprising.

Pretty reasonably priced, considering portions were large and we were able to share food and still have food leftover.

Will definitely be back to try more!

This place can get super busy especially during lunch. Their lunch sets usually sell out so if you’re with a group and they can’t make up their minds, place your order first.

They have a lot of seating but they don’t really maximize it, probably a timing thing.

Food wise, this place is delicious. I’ve tried a few different times and every time has been wonderful. Their stone bowl rice is great, the fried chicken is great, and the lunch sets offer incredible value.

Overall, a fun spot to stop by in Gastown if you’re in the area and in the mood for Korean food.

The place delivers a genuine taste of Korea, serving up generous portions with reasonable price. We ordered seafood noodle and fried chicken for two, and we couldn't even finish half. The noodle soup was rich and flavorful, while the fried chicken was on point - not too saucy, super juicy, and tender since it's fried fresh.
However, service could be more efficient. There's this wall dividing the restaurant, and it seems like the servers don't come to the other side too often. While service could be quicker, the food quality is a compelling reason to return, perhaps with a few more people

This was my second opinion after stopping by my first one; I left my 1st option due to the fact they not longer accept cash in a way I’m glad that happens cause I ended up here. The coffee latte does have a different taste, still good and made it so beautifully that I can’t complain ☺️
Great mall, greater food court, everything we've tried is delicious.
Big fan of Bubble Waffles and hard to find so koodos. Diversity of shops good too. Oh and Sungiven and Kins produce and Dollorama.

This place is always busy or has a queue when I pass by and I finally decided to give it a try. The food is good and portions are the best I've ever had at a Viet restaurant in Vancouver! The ambiance was chaotic inside, but service was still polite (food comes out quicker if it's a pho entree). Important to note - they don't accept credit cards but will take debit.

I needed to come back here a second time before writing this review because I'm at a loss for words. EVERYTHING about Zoomak exceeds all expectations I had. The atmosphere, the waiters, the vibes, the food, the drinks... 11/10.

If you only had to get one item on the menu, I say go for the bossam. I guarantee you will be satisfied off just that. Honestly, if I had to only eat one thing for the rest of my life, this would be it. The crunchy exterior and melt in your mouth interior almost made me fall off my chair because I was at a loss for words.

Of course, besides that item, they also do the other dishes extremely well. Will be back to try the rest of the menu soon (yes, I am in fact slowly making my way through their entire menu).

I guess if I had one gripe, it would be having to wait quite a long time if you don't make reservations in advance. And even if you make the reservation, the time slots seems to be quite limited as they book up fast (and for good reason).

Anyway, go check this place out if you're in the Gastown area, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The fried squid appetizer was very tasty. The pho dat biet was flavorful and the porkchop/chicken rice was delicious and plentiful. The Vietnamese coffee was just okay but the 3 beans drink was bomb! Parking can be a little tricky to find. Service was friendly and fast. It can get quite loud inside so not the greatest place to catch up with a friend. Highly recommend the food here though.
What a great place. A delicious beer and food oasis in the park. The prices were reasonable and everything was very well prepared. Service was friendly and attentive. The pretzel bites were hands down the best I’ve ever had at any brewery in the states. And I’ve never reviewed restrooms before but the sign is all inclusive and there is a bunch of individual restrooms with sinks and everything. Brilliant

Decided to go for a solo-dinner at a restaurant I've never tried and was very pleased with the result. Got a #16: Seafood Hot&Sour Rice Noodle Combo w/ Salad Roll and it was 10/10 delicious, great portions, & affordable! The staff were very nice and welcoming too. Very clean restaurant and bright atmosphere was enjoyable to dine in. Will definitely be back!
Lots of tables were available at 11:30 for lunch, but within the hour many were occupied. Food came out relatively quickly. Had the Beef Bulgogi Lunch Combo; I appreciated a non-spicy option with the "chef's special sauce." We received the usual shareable tasty banchan, of which we could have seconds. The bulgogi was flavourful and satisfied our Korean food cravings! Our team was topped up regularly by their staff. Good option for a meal with an average price point. There is pay parking along Fraser Street or in the lot behind, as well as some 2-hour parking in the residential areas.

Busy spot for Vietnamese food. We had the crab pho and regular beef special pho and fried squid.

There was a bit of a wait for the tables past 630 but we were there around 530 on a Friday and there wasn't a wait.

Portions are big and the soups had a lot of flavour. They give you so much lime and basil it was great!

What can I say??? Well, just that the New Amsterdam Cafe is undeniably AWESOME!!! We went early and opened the place up a few different days on our trip so it was quiet and all ours when we were there. A great place to chill and enjoy the lifestyle! The lady that helped us when we went was very nice and made great coffees. She was very helpful and knowledgeable with the Volcano we rented from them as well. Will always come here when in Vancouver. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for good, clean fun times!!! Thank you all at New Amsterdam Cafe.
3-star for the food, 6-star for the service. The steak was basically a piece of charcoal as u can see from the picture. The halibut of my fish and chips was tasteless and overcooked.

Service was really good though, staff were super friendly. But really the food need some improvement to convince me going back.
Went on a Monday evening, not busy, visiting from Alberta. Very nice display of the retail shop side as that is the only side I went to. Asked for a recommendation on a more of a fruity beer. Aaron was extremely helpful and gave his recommendation. Very friendly guy, had a nice chat with him. I do agree with his recommendation of the Flamingo Mango Hibiscus Sour Beer. Excellent service from Aaron and great place to visit!!

The experience is phenomenal. Very fresh ingredients and the sauces that are for the individual dishes are all house-made. I’ve been to their night dine in omakase but recently they have offered a lunch omakase. I have to try it! And again, they’ve delivered a quality experience. Their lunch omakase is as good as their regular omakase. Love it! Highly recommend it. Their dishes changes in-between so you always experience and try different things.

I love their cheese tokbokki ($28) a lot. But it would be better if they can make rice cake softer. Because rice cake became chewy in just 5-10mins after serving. This menu is pretty pricey comparing to other korean restaurants but it’s big enough for 2-3 ppl. So very recommend to share with friends. Their spicy&sour soup, Kimchi jeegae ($17) is flavorful. it came with a side of rice. I ordered just these two items and 1 more side of rice. It’s enough for 2ppl.
At Granville Island Brewery, I picked up four small glasses of their fantastic brews. The Juicy IPA is a hop lover's dream. Bursting with tropical fruit flavors and a citrusy punch, it's a refreshing and bold choice. The English Bay Ale offers a smooth and balanced experience with its caramel maltiness and subtle hop bitterness. It's a classic that never disappoints.

The Island Lager is a crisp and clean option, perfect for those seeking a light and refreshing beer. Its subtle malt sweetness and delicate hop presence make it a crowd-pleaser. For a unique twist, the Honey Lager adds a touch of sweetness with hints of honey, creating a smooth and mellow drinking experience.

To complement the beers, I also ordered a side of sea salt French fries. The fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. They were a perfect accompaniment, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the brewery experience.

It was full and we didn't make reservations for a Saturday night. We sat at the bar which was open.

The bartender was very attentive and we ordered their sesame sour and the Ok fun fizz. Both drinks were excellent and well made.

For food we got spam, Korean fried chicken and the bossam lettuce wrap.

The food was delicious, the restaurant wasn't big but the space was well used. Overall the atmosphere was cozy and fun

It was my first time there and I'll return to try the other drinks and food items!

Update:
Came here again 2 weeks later. The seafood pancake is excellent here!

Food is good overall. Seafood pancake is one of the better ones (sufficiently thick, which I like) I have tried, although I felt there weren't enough octopus pieces (hello inflation). For me, House of Tofu still makes the best seafood pancake I've ever had.

Kimchi tofu soup was decent and the portion was fair. The service was a bit subpar as I usually don't like it when I have to ask for tea refill especially when it isn't even that busy.

Overall, it's a decent and I would say above average Korean restaurant in Vancouver.
Decent food and beer. Large crowds are usually outside but the line seems to more fast. Inside you’ll find friendly staff and quick service. There’s a place to purchase beer and other items on site. The beer was decent, but nothing I would take back home. I still recommended going to Granville Island Brewer It’s a nice experience while in Vancouver.
Vancouver isn’t known for having good Korean food but I have to say that Sumi is one of the exceptions. They serve great authentic Korean food, with generous portions as well. We ordered the Gamjatang, Seafood Pancake, and the Bibimbap. We’ll definitely be back!

I went to this restaurant sometime in 2019 and had the hot pot. It was great! Really enjoyed it but for some reason completely forgot about the restaurant until 4 years later when I came back.

With the previous food experience so good, I almost ordered everything off the menu! I sampled a variety of dishes with my partner: the deep fried dumplings, the seafood pancake, beef bulgogi, and bibimbap. All were delicious as I expected. The side dishes and the sauces were great accompaniment to the dishes.

Having said that, I thought the bulgogi had too much beef in it, which I’m not sure it is a bad thing but I was hoping to have more of those delicious glass noodles!

Would definitely come back, this time sooner.

Second time eating here and I feel I have a pro tip for all those reviews that complained about how sweet the famous cinnamon French toast was - caramel on the side! Easy! I used none of the sauce in the end. Then the toast is like soft and crispy churros with dip but fancy 🙂
The eggs Benny is great with amazing baby potatoes. Beautiful restaurant with lots of space. I will go again for sure!

The lunch set is a great deal. There is a variety of bite sized dishes and they're each well made. The presentation is also quite nice.

The service could use improvement.
The restaurant is clean and brightly lit.

Cons: can't make reservations, no parking, and entrance very difficult to find, very long waits sometimes

I would recommend!

Make sure you enter in through the back and not where the maps lead
We've been in Canada for a few weeks now and this is the best burger that can be made gluten friendly that I have had yet. The bun was beautifully soft and had a crunchy top. The burger itself was perfection. Highly recommended.
It is a cozy Korean restaurant with great food and friendly service. I ordered the medium-spicy Gam Ja Tang, and it was flavorful. The Bulgogi was tasty as well. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming.
Super yummy. This is the first time I ate a side dish that looks like a main meal. All their side dish have lots of different preferences. You can have chicken, pork meat, beef meat, and veggies. It's actually my birthday when we came their and I'm happy they gave us seaweed soup(they didn't know its my bday). The service was super nice, and the servers are all beautiful.
5 stars for foods, service, and value!! Weekday dinner at 6pm and no wait to be seated. Our foods came out 5 mins after ordering!

Pho, club soup noodle, lemongrass beef, and fish cake were really good and tasty. Chicken wings and spring rolls were ok but not our favorite.
Our absolute favourite Pho place to go! Decent prices and great flavour.
We ordered the fried squid cakes, which were just like regular fish cakes. But the Salt and pepper chicken wings were very flavourful. We also ordered the Beef Pho noodle soup, lemongrass chicken and spring roll vermicelli, lemongrass chicken and spring roll on rice, and lemongrass chicken with pork chop on rice. All of those dishes were delicious as usual!
First time coming here because my sister had recommended this spot on Victoria Drive. Service was super friendly, presentation of food was clean and their new restaurant location is bigger supposedly from their last place and decor inside is tastefully modern.

We ordered:
• #23 Bun Rieu (Special Crab Soup) Recommend $16.95
• #6 Fried Fish Cake

If you like the traditional Vietnamese tomato Crab Soup this is a great one to try! I actually love the tomato soup across the street from this restaurant at viet mama cafe but this restaurant also does a great take on it! Highly recommend to try this flavour bomb, add the lime and bean sprouts!

As for the fish cake, it was quite salty. Especially when they serve it with the tangy fish sauce. So instead I just added it to my soup. So I don’t recommend them but I’d definitely come back to try other menu items!

Our go-to Korean restaurant! We always get their chicken (either with garlic honey or soy garlic sauce) and japchae. Their jajangmyeon and vegetable mandu are good picks too! The food is great and the staff are nice 💯

Addendum: A huge plus for me is that they're usually open until 10pm! I mean last orders are until 9:15pm only but still!

I quite enjoyed this place for brunch. Even though I ordered simple brunch food, everything was cooked very well and the quality of food was great.
I was especially impressed by the variety and amount of fruit that they gave us when I ordered a side of fruit. Judging by the presentation of everything, you can tell that there is effort out into every dish. I would definitely come back.

Chef, Kevin Shin is an amazing chef. The Omakase experience was very good. I will definitely come back. 😊
A decent place to stop by after a Seawall bike ride.

The burgers were delicious especially the spicy chicken. I found the fish tacos to be a little dry and had no flavor. The pretzel bites and potato onion bites were very greasy, but still tasty.

Our food took a very long time to arrive. The service was friendly, but not very attentive.
Pretty cool atmosphere. Food was slightly overpriced for the portion that I saw on the plates. The server kept coming back to check on with us despite how busy the restaurant was, while also accommodating us to meet our needs to fit everyone into the table. There were some mix up with drink orders and he did not apologize at all, but it could be because it's been a long day for him.
Finally I have a chance to try Sumi,Great food, good service. I love the Korean fried chicken and Japchae is a little bit too sweet but overall is great Korean restaurant

Very bright, clean and bigger space. Servers were quick and friendly but I guess she didn't understand when we asked her to replace fish instead of pork/ham on our soup. Huge portion but the taste is just ok. Only 3pieces of shrimp and no fish on the soup! It was good to try this restaurant but we are not coming back.

Your reservation time is the seating time for your group. If you're early, you just need to wait a little, but don't be late. You'll miss out on part of the experience.

One of the best omakase in Vancouver. Warming atmosphere that just enhances your dining experience. Just watching all the work the chefs put in to make your evening enjoyable is unfathomable.
You guys serious about having to put in credit card details for a 75 cent "convenience fee" every time someone parks a motorcycle here? If the first 2 hours are free to hit the gym, why even bother with the 75 cents? It's not really a "convenience" when you got to put in all your information every time you park.

And not to mention, I haven't used my card all week that was used to pay for this 75 cent "convenience fee." But then that card "conveniently" has fraudulent charges to it. Now I "conveniently" got a new card and will be watching out for this.
nice layout and design of building. i loved how the mall was built around the heritage buildings, and how there were big windows that made the shopping centre seen big and spacious, with lots of light. my only complaint was the parking, as doing the whole process took lots of time and was kind of confusing. i would come back again, but probably park somewhere else to save time.

I love my experience in PappaRoti, especially finding out about it's Malaysian influence. I got the crazy for kaya bun because the coconut jam reminds me of a pandan spread my mom used to get. I don't like a lot of sweet things so I thought the crazy for kaya was just the perfect dessert. It's not too sweet and the coconut jam really compliments the crunch coffee exterior and the soft buttery interior. I came back to order more from this store and I also like the Moroccan vegan wrap. I'm used to seeing wraps with hummus being very cold and unflavorful but the hummus in the Moroccan wrap is really delicious with the cauliflower and chickpeas.

Looking for clean, spacious space with tables for a quick document sign and something warm for this windy night. This place met all criteria.

Ordered a Spanish latte and spinach strudel. The dip on the side for the strudel was so delicious. This is such a precious space for a short break in the area. Would love to revisit again to try their buns!

Service is fine but the food is far from ok nor authentic Korean style…I ordered a fried potato noodles with pork… and the first photo shows how little pork inside…and it is not worth $18 at all… And for my fd’s choice… it’s even worse. He ordered a seafood soup and usually korean restaurant would offer rice with it. It didn’t, which is fine. But tht soup was just some red water with almost nothing inside (maybe a few pieces of small frozen squid) and it costs like $2x? It is a total scam even in downtown. We were so confused with that soup and I saw other review said they tho it was leftovers…it was exactly how we thought! Fried chickens look good but taste not good, very salty, Will not go back again. And we spent almost $60 eating these, it’s insane.

Came here for dinner with my brother and friend. I was pleasantly surprised to how good their food was.

I ordered a seafood tofu stew and it was the best one I had yet! It tasted fresh, hot and comforting. It stayed hot for the entire time I was eating. I loved the side dishes especially the kimchi and potatoes.

The lady serving us was also very nice. It's an everyday casual Korean eatery and I'd definitely come here again with friends or alone.

Tried their original coffee bun. It reminded me of Roti Boy in Indonesia. Crispy crust outside and buttery soft inside. Wish it to be a bit saltier tho to bring out more of the buttery flavor but overall a nice evening companion.

I got the spicy soup with sliced marble brisket and a side of sweet corn with a friend, and it was very hearty and savoury! It came piping hot, and the meat was extra tender and flavourful. Even though they soecialize in Korean Fried Chicken, their other dishes were great as well.

I will say that the sweet corn was a bit pricey for the portion size, and the soup was a bit on the oily side. Overall, would still highly recommend giving this place a try if you're a fan of Korean cuisine.

@papparoticanada ft nutty bun (hazelnut & Nutella)

Went with the safer option of hazelnut and Nutella vs other flavours, as it was our first time trying their bun. Appreciated the layers of texture and the presentation. Wish there was a little more in the bun itself. Heard their ice cream sandwich is pretty good so will have to try that next time!

A very interactive, fun, and engaging dinner experience with a surprise element because you don't know exactly what dish is next. The many courses served one at a time make it like a Japanese food adventure as you journey through each bite size item. All the ingredients were fresh and high quality. I have had better omakase though, that was finer and tastier. However, this place is still very good and worth going to again.
I really liked this place, its a super chill atmosphere. We had a great night. The food and deserts are really good.
You can rent all smoking tools and devices by the hour. Even rent a rolling tray kit with a grinder, different rolling papers, filters, a lighter and the tray for $4.20😍
The staff are all super sweet. It's a $10 membership fee to get in and then once your member, its $5 each time.
My only complaint( if I can even callit that) is that the seats are not comfortable.

Honestly this was some of the best sushi I have had in my life. The appetizers were unique and delightful. The rice (yes the rice) was perfection. Why only 4 starts? At over $200 per person (food only) it was also one of the most expensive meals I’ve had. The quantity and variety didn’t warrant the price even as delicious as it was and that we went during Covid restrictions. Secondly there was not the same amount of variety of flavours with the sushi as the appetizers. I would not have been able to tell about half of them apart. Like another guest wrote they should add more unique sauces pared with each type of fish. That said if they lower their set price or open for lunch I would go back again. One final note, if you love waygu they are preparing it without the use of gas or the ability to seat it at high heat. This was not even in my top 10 of presentations so I would skip it as an ad on.

I personally enjoyed strolling through City Square. Part of the mall is heritage building and the other part is modern. Unique interior and design layout. Although the mall is not big but you do find a variety of stores available here. Plenty of underground parking and is walking distance to Canada Line skytrain and VGH. There is a food court in the mall.

One of the most unforgettable dining experiences I have ever had! My bf booked NYE dinner at sushi bar shu for two of us and everything was just perfect. I loved how each dishes were prepared right in front of our eyes, and handed fresh from chef’s hand to our hand. I also loved how overall atmosphere of the restaurant was so clean and minimalistic. I want to thank Chef Shin and the whole bar Shu team for making our NYE extra special!
We ordered the seafood noodle soup, bibimbap, and fried chicken. The soup was better than I've had at many Korean restaurants, thick with a lot of seafood flavor. However, the fried chicken was pretty disappointing. I expected a bigger crunch and juicier meat on the inside. Overall, I'd say good except for fried chicken.

Went there for dinner last night. Checking vaccine passport was straightforward and easy. We ordered three dishes: (1) Half & half (yang nyeom & spicy soy); (2) seafood pancake; and (3) gimmali. The chicken was fried perfectly with crispy skin. Spicy soy was good but yang nyeom was sweeter than those served in other restaurants including the ones in Korea. Their seafood pancake version did not have shredded fried potato on top (common among other restaurants) so it did not have the contrast texture we like. It ended up mushy and bland and hence quite disappointing. The best dish surprisingly was the gimmali which was fried perfectly with very good flavor. Service was good too.

The chicken is good and not fairly priced. The boneless chicken was surprisingly moist and had a good crunch from the batter. I wouldn’t say anything was spectacular, but it would definitely do the job if you were craving Korean fried chicken. I wish it had more spice and flavour to it, but besides that, no complaints!
Small mall. Has a bit of everything, food court , grocery store . Underground parking, free if you make a purchase in most stores.

The elevator to the Kirin restaurant is a bit annoying as it is both slow and the only one that goes between 5 different floors. At lunch time can be a pain to go up.....though now during pandemic time, was less an issue.

Sungiven is a great alternative to T&T when it comes to Asian groceries. There are not too many places like that in this area so it does meet that need.

In a single word, yummy! The baked buns are baked and freshly heated on order (so budget sometime!) The topping is beautifully constructed and add layers of texture and taste to the base.

Turkish coffee is well made providing the bitterness and sweetness one would expect. Provided Turkish delight is a nice touch.
Nice.building and open bright areas with several key stores to anchor such as Safeway and.Starbucks. Food fair is typical with more Asian heavy skew.

Pretty easy to access parking although its very overpriced and validation doesnt seem to make a dent in the price. Wifi is poor and hard to access, better to use Starbucks or more shop specific wifi if needed.

I like that the mall doesnt appear too busy and the public piano is a neat feature, especially when someone is playing.
