Nice spot for a drink. A few good craft beers on tap and in the fridge. I didn’t explore the building but it seems like they have multiple rooms across a few floors. Reasonable prices. Quite part of Sydney CBD. Didn’t try the food this time.

Surprised there wasn’t more people on a Friday afternoon, loved the chilled vibes though bar looks understaffed. Got oysters and fries, oysters are great. Unblocked views of the opera house. Great to people watch

I was there for breakfast , was busy but the view was amazing and also to mention the food was quite delicious . With very simple menu every thing tastes really well also the coffee was good.
We ordered chicken burger , cheese and spinach sandwich and pork roll that we enjoyed along with a great view of the opera house and the harbour bridge.

I would like to share my experience of my first time at a cruise bar to watch a Drone on Sunday Vivid night. My friend booked a table for 5 people, but when we arrived, There was no table for us , The staff and manager only said “ Booking isn't garrantee that you will get table ! “ Unfair for customers that who booking at all. if we didn’t get table, why we have to booking ???? This is my question. There aremore sentences that Managers and staff should not speak to customers. In addition, the attitude of the employees towards customers It's a gesture that shows displeasure with us. I feel very bad about the service. After that They given a table with no view at all for us. Uncomfortable to seating and hard to eating on that table. and we received undercooked food unripe corn , The staff took it back and said they would bring new one. New corn has arrived. It is just bringing The corn was put in the microwave and then served again. The lobster bun had bones that couldn't be completely removed. in 2 hours, There were no employees to take care of us at all. i have to walk to find them many time.

After the drone show is finished We returned to the table and found that other customers were already seated. It’s mean Staff didn’t reserve the table for customers! (Didn’t care for service). And another manager come to talk with us So he found a new table for us and gave us new food and drinks, but that didn't make us feel good about the service from the start. Event new food and drink , we waiting around 30 minutes.

i do understanding that Cruise bar location is popular for vivid periods , You should organise well for customers coming in. Especially booking people! The booking customer should get tables. Managers and employees are not organized well enough. and We received no apology from the manager.

The cruise bar is very good spot and nice location. But this our first time make us Feeling unfair and very very disappointed for the service. Especially Manager , can’t solve any problems properly.

And we would like to say Thank you for another Manager, Who wearing dark green jacket. At least, he try to make us happy in the end. First manager who service us Wear a plaid shirt don’t do anything.

Important for booking ! Customer expect to make sure that will get table that’s why , customer choose booking instead of walk in. it’s doesn’t mean Booking isn’t garrantee that you will get table! Please keep thinking if you guys service like this ! Why on your website should have booking options!

I hope you guys will take the mistakes and improve the service, especially during the festival season. People expect to receive good enough service.

Thanks

I want to thank you for a wonderful evening last night while we watched the Vivid Drone Show. Two days prior I booked a table for 8pm on Level 3 & paid for a platter for myself and my husband. We arrived at 8pm and received priority to be seated at our table. Our complimentary drink arrived and very soon after our platter arrived. Yes it was busy but we managed to have a good view of the show,
After the show the crowd diminished quickly, our lovely waiter moved us to a table around the side with a direct view of the Opera House. (We didn’t ask for this. He offered it) We stayed til 11pm.
Forward thinking and booking the table was the way to go.

We made reservations FOR DINNER months in advance, as we were traveling from the USA. There were 16 of us and they sat us in lounge/cocktail seating that didn’t have enough room for us all. There were no dining tables; Only coffee tables. On top of that, it was cold and storming and they had all the doors open and refused to shut the one closest to our table. My daughter was beyond freezing so she had her nose and mouth covered by her coat and shut her eyes because she was so miserable. The ‘security’ came over and said that she can’t sleep…mind you she doesn’t drink alcohol…guessing they thought she was highly intoxicated. We explained the situation and they wouldn’t back down. Finally our trip coordinator stepped in and explained. So they moved us to a different area. But also with inadequate seating and service. It also became quite clear that the staff was ‘annoyed’ with us. We were treated very poorly and our requests were met with eye rolls and delayed responses. I have never been so disgusted by service and I work in the restaurant industry. To top it off, the four cheese risotto was beyond bland. I had others try it and they agreed. The lamb ragout tasted like it came from a can and the cheeseburger my daughter had was drowned in sauce making the bun soggy and overpowered any other flavor. To boot, the security guards kept harassing our group. And then we saw another large group that came in after us and they got proper dining seating and everything was already set up for them, such as glassware, silverware and a charcuterie board ready. As long as my review may be, it truly cannot describe what an absolutely terrible experience it was. Thankfully, I don’t live here and so I never have to go back, but I highly recommend not ever visiting the cruise bar.

My go-to lunch spot when I’m in circular quay. The best service and good tasty food. Sometimes it’s crowded, sometimes it’s not.

Decent prices for that area and good quantity. If I’m the MCA museum with unmatched views. If the cruise ship is not there, you can harbour bridge and Opera House.

This is such a nice spot, not flash, just how I like it, real. Lots of spaces to find a spot you like and then relax for a long while. Can get busy, but a little off the beaten track, so it is often a place that is less busy than others. Not at all deserted by any means, there are always people about, which gives a nice atmosphere of friendly chatter. The beer selection is the best, so many craft beers to choose from. Different beers that are not run of the mill. The staff are excellent at helping you choose your new favorite brew. The food is typical pub grub, a bit of a hit and miss. Last night, my food was cold, and my waffle fries were reheated and stale. My burger was really good, very tasty, even though it was lukewarm. I have had some good food there in the past, but last night wasn't great. No bother though, the atmosphere was lively and the staff were great as usual. We will be back.
Coming to the Rocks is not complete without going to Pancakes on the Rocks. A very popular spot. We only had to wait 5 minutes for a table which is pretty good during the VIVID festival. The food is amazing and the prices are very good for this area. There’s lift access for people with mobility issues. Have wanted to come for years, definitely worth it.

Best pancake place! The flavours were really unique - my fave was lemon meringue 🍋, but apple crumble 🍎 and chocolate/peanut butter 🥜 were great also.

Pancakes themselves were large and fluff!

Also had the tandoori chicken pizza. Not too bad, but the chicken was a bit dry.

Nice airy bright atmosphere with high ceiling and exposed beams. Industrial yet warm setting dinner.

Pancake was nice and fluffy. The egg bacon hashbrown dish was okay. The hashbrown just didn't look or taste right. Almost felt like either the potato was overly soaked in water and then frozen? Didn't have the crunch texture. Other than that, the price point is excellent considering this place is located in the heart of the Rocks.

Good cafe overlooking the opera house and harbour bridge in a cafe with coveted and uncovered areas to sit in. Opportunity to get some great photos as set up high without the cost of paying for fine dining.
We had the ploughman platter and cauliflower salad. Self service order at counter.
Good location as you can combine this with looking around the art gallery and other iconic attractions.

Came here on a rainy Saturday noon and the place was busy. We wanted to get a good view of the harbor bridge and opera house but outdoor seatings were full.

The server didn’t take long to get us a table inside and we were seated near the corner of the cafe which could get us the opera house view too. Overall not a bad experience.

They have a pretty standard list of food and beverages on their menu. You could either place the order online by scanning their QR code or pay at the counter. I faced some technical issue of the system when I was about to check out using Apple Pay though. It took me some time to fill up my card details and check out to place my order. Not a very clever system to me.

Eventually I ordered an açaí bowl and my friend had Ploughman’s Platter and iced mocha. The server served our food and drinks pretty quick despite the busy hour.

I enjoyed my friend’s company with the opera house view here even though the weather was gloomy.

Really don’t want to let you in on this secret…great food and incredible views….especially with no cruise ship docked. I don’t think you can book but wait time for Friday lunch no issue. Outdoors full but scored a table near the window looking out to the bridge n opera house. Sensational!

And the prices are really reasonable! Thoroughly recommend this cafe and the MCA museum. Roasted cauliflower in cumin n sumac cous cous salad really fantastic.
Super affordable pancakes that were really delicious. Generous portions as well with a really nice ambience. Thought this would have been a tourist trap because of its location but it’s not at all.

honestly one my favourite places in Sydney

We had a great time with bunch of friends. It was a rainy evening so we ended up rotating 3 times across their bar / floors n outdoor section. Wish this was bit more smooth inspite of early reservations. They were definitely trying their best on a busy Sat.

Great music if you like fun night Saturday night songs. The pace picks up and gets more crowded ( which is good and bad, depending on how hectic you like it.. gets crowded post 9pm)

Food was good / bar nibbles / we had few pizzas- croquets - fries and wings etc

Drinks and cocktails are good. Fair variety and alright priced. 20-30$ approx

Their staff is quite nice and friendly. Helped us few times and cleaned up quickly with our large group ( we were 8)
Pancakes on the Rocks blew my mind! We shared the savory Pancake Up North, a refreshing Garden Salad, a delightful fresh mushroom crepe, and a delicious eggplant pizza - everything was bursting with flavor. The restaurant itself has a wonderful atmosphere, and the service was speedy despite being busy. The caramel milkshake was the perfect sweet ending. I can't recommend this place enough - it's a must-try!

Stumbled across this amazing little pub while on holiday. Tyson and the staff were absolutely amazing.
We were there with our 3 kids and they were so accommodating.
Honestly, it felt like we were at our local pub.
Food was amazing, service was amazing.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting a family friendly comfortable place to dine.
We really wish we had found this place the first night of our holiday, not the last. 😥

I organised a School Reunion here on St. Patrick’s Day this year for 20 Ladies and we were not disappointed.
From the fun atmosphere, to the delicious Canapé’s, live music and wonderful staff we all had a very enjoyable day.
Even though the Pub was busy the service we received was spot on and our pre-ordered Canapé’s were served on time and were delicious!
Unfortunately I didn’t think to take photos of the food for this review but I have given my review 5 well deserved ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The location is great and the rooftop bar is an added bonus.
Our smiles in the picture says it all.
Thank you to the team at Hart’s 🫶🏻

Amazing views from the MCA Cafe, although there was a cruise ship docked.
The staff were friendly and attentive and we were seated almost immediately. Seating is available indoors and outdoors is at a prime.
Great range of food and drinks on offer with vegan and gluten-free options. We ordered the beer battered fish and chips, burger and dips platter. I also had home lemonade which tasted like a mint julip.
Will definitely be back when we visit Sydney again.
We visited Pancakes On The Rocks January 2024. It’s located in the beautiful and oldest part of Sydney called The Rocks. The restaurant is located upstairs, not too hard for those with bad knees, and when you arrive at the top, the place is wide open and inviting. It smells so good and fresh. It was bright against the brown wooden booths and tables/chairs. The floor as well as the booth were clean. Even the bathroom was clean and inviting! Upon entering, we were promptly greeted and seated. The waitstaff doesn’t take your order, you have to scan the QR code. It was very easy to place our order. Our ordered was quickly delivered by the waitstaff. I ordered the pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Everything was cooked to perfection! The pancakes were dense but not dry. They were flavorful and delicious. The bacon was chard but the parts that weren’t were good and tasty. My eggs were scrambled exactly as I like them. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a hearty, delicious, and memorable breakfast!! In fact, the food smelled so good, I started eating and then realized I didn’t take a picture… It was that delicious!!

The first time we visited over a year ago was brilliant. Hence we were confident to invite 12 of our friends for a birthday celebration.
We were disappointed with the lack of service from the staff. Drinks took a long time to be made. The views are amazing. The band was abysmal. The food was nice for an afternoon snack. The ship that was due for departure was 2.5 hours late making it an eyesore and very hot as it blocked any breeze. There are so many nicer venues in Sydney to visit.

Came here to celebrate my husband bday and valentine. However if you looking place to celebrate special occasions I dont think this is right place, will say this restaurant totally just Bar.
Waited the food for 30 mins the first 3 dishes came after that the last one (angus steak) came over 1 hour. Its only came because we ask 🫠 I would say no cust service at all! When calling the staff almost all the staff tried to avoid it. Totally ruined my day.
Used to be a busy restaurant where you will have to wait an hour if you didn't book a table.
Now I don't have to book and get a table right away.
The food is not as good as before.
Pancakes will make you very thirsty.
There are new odd menu as well.
Beef rib racks are not the same as before.
Maybe it's because there are better restaurants nowadays.

Wandered into this quaint and eclectic venue on a whim... the bill board out the front drew us in!!! With a nautical theme, there's rum a plenty. Some seemingly rare, maintaining the eclectic atmosphere. The staff were wonderful, only too willing to engage and chat about their craft, their product, and merits of nautical life. ⚓️

We enjoyed the delicious fish and chips and pita bread with variety of dips. Plenty for two! Cozy place to watch a cruise ship from our table by the window. Lovely brunch.
This is a great place. I was skeptical when I saw the huge line to enter. We had a reservation, so it was a straight walk to the table. We went in for lunch, and the pancake for breakfast is not a bad option if you are eating from here. A good quantity of food and it was delicious too.
I felt the serving could have been better with more people to serve. The kids' menu has a good number of choices. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would do it again.

Incredible ambiance and cocktail menu. Great rum collection and Rum bar. Service was ok. Would return though. Love the neighborhood!
Rooftop bar with harbor and opera house view that was beautiful as well as the buildings in Sydney. Watching the ferries go in and out of the harbor was relaxing. Positive jumping vibe, bartenders were in point and fast. Burger was ok fries were nice. Looking at other tables portion sizes looked good. Crowd was friendly and accommodating letting us share a covered table when the rain came thru. Wonderful rooftop bar accessible by all in whatever you are wearing :)

We went to the rooftop bar for a drink and a bite to eat. The staff is warm and friendly. The bar was very crowded, but we managed to find a table.

Ordered our drinks and a cheeseburger 🍔. The cheeseburger is nothing to get excited about. Pretty much tasted like a frozen patty thrown on the grill. Let's just say it was more than well done.

The views are amazing totally, making it a great experience to stop by for a beverage.

All tje patrons were having a thr time of their lives. My kind of bar!

Set your expectations low on tje food, enjoy a beverage with a view not to be missed.

5 stars from me.

Great spot. Got parking out front. Few cold ones and a feed on a Sunday arvo. Food was great. Burger was excellent and steak was cooked to perfection. Not to over crowded.

What an extraordinary restaurant. My Fiancée and I enjoyed a super delicious six course meal which consisted of really generous portions, a gorgeous bottle of wine and cocktails here on Sunday. We are VERY pleased with the service, food, drinks and just overall experience. The service was immaculate, and we are so grateful for receiving the special gesture in our dessert. Superb service, decent food, maybe just a tad overpriced but it’s a steakhouse and you’d expect that in Sydney.

Loved their deep fried calamari. Haven’t had a decent batter in ages. Scallops were a bit bland. Lobster Mac n cheese was worth a try. Tried their specially chocolate aged steak, husband lovely it.

Kids friendly with high chair and accessible change table for nappy changes.

Food was absolutely lovely. We started off with artisan bread with smoked beef butter (special, but a tad too smokey for us). We followed with beef fillet and miso salmon, both of which were delicious. Was also thoughtful of them to have served up dessert at the end of the meal to celebrate our anniversary :)

Was a pity we didn't manage a table outdoors as it'd have been nice to sit right next to the wharf overlooking the opera house :)

We had the ultimate date night at sax night / Grain Bar, booked through Urban Swan! We enjoyed deliciously brewed cocktails with an impressive ingredient list. It was so much fun to watch our drinks being made and enjoying the dim lighting of this cool venue while we listened to the sound of groovy sax all night. Not only does Grain have an amazing array of whisky, it has wonderful staff like Noemi, who can help you choose what you might enjoy. Also the charcuterie board was delicious.
Really cool pub with an amazing view of the harbour and the Opera House. There are lots of levels and rooms so it manages to feel cozy despite being quite large. We were on the rooftop which was very well heated and was really comfortable. Pretty typical pub fare on offer here.

Just wanted to say thank you to all Adam, Pablo, Marco, Sanjeev , David and the new bartender Luck with his magics will amaze you.
Great, sophisticated, loud, fun, pricey. You're asked if you'd like more drinks, if not - if you'd like a bill. But it is nice, we got complimentary snacks/peanuts.

I recently dined at Quay Restaurant in Sydney and had a memorable experience. While the food was good, it didn't quite reach the level of excellence I was expecting. The standout aspect of the evening was definitely the exceptional service, which deserves high praise.

We opted for the 6-course menu with the Quay pairing wine, and I must say that the wines served were delightful. Each wine was carefully selected and perfectly complemented the dishes. The sommelier's expertise was evident, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience.

The service provided at Quay was truly outstanding. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and took great care in explaining each dish and its ingredients. Their attention to detail was commendable, ensuring that every guest felt well taken care of throughout the evening. From start to finish, the service was top-notch.

One aspect that left me slightly disappointed was the portion sizes. They were incredibly small, even for a fine dining experience. While I understand the focus on quality over quantity, I felt that the portions could have been a bit more substantial to justify the price tag. Nevertheless, the flavors and presentation of the dishes were impressive, showcasing the culinary skills of the chefs.

Quay Restaurant is undeniably on the pricier side, considering the portions you receive. However, the exceptional service and the overall dining experience make it worth a visit. If you're looking for a memorable evening with top-notch service and a good selection of wines, Quay Restaurant is a great choice.

The selling point is having the Sydney Harbour view. The decoration at 6HEAD is cheerful and welcoming.

The food presentation is good. Food tasted good, but we thought it could be better. Their food tastes good. dont get me wrong, but with that price, that location, that view, we have higher expectations on the food. I ordered mac & cheese , it was the best among all. Dad ordered a beef steak (not shown in pic),it was not to his expectation. The prawn starter was huge and good. Australia oysters are small and tasty than the huge oysters that we used to have. Salmon main has, I think, chunky beef with the beans ? We had a vegetarian mains too.

The staff there were very lively and helpful. But payment wise, maybe different cultures, it took us quite awhile for paying the bill.

It's a place to go. Sit back and relax, and have a good romantic sunset view of Sydney Harbour with food and drinks. You have to try it at least once !

Fantastic food can be found here. Their burgers are particularly amazing. Went back twice in as many days. Not messy meals either despite their looks so if you're popping in on a work day there's no risk you're gonna mess on your dress clothes.

Staff are friendly and helpful and the meals are very filling.

The Keel is our go to bar in The Rocks. Absolutely fantastic service from Patrick and all the staff. Lots of different seating options from inside to outside. And if you fancy a cocktail that's not on the menu or can't decide what you feel like, ask the staff to make you something based on your tastes. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Would highly recommend booking in busy times. This place is popular. Can't wait for our next visit

Booked a dinner here, hoping for a great experience and excellent food - as recommended by some friends. Sad to say the least we were very disappointed. After dining at similarly ranked/regarded fine dinings in Sydney we can safely say this was the bottom of the lot.

Food was ok, nothing spectacular. In fact, writing this review a week later, I can barely remember what dishes were great. It wasn't a terrible experience, just not memorable.

Service felt like it was rehearsed and recited. Didn't feel like that was any passion in its delivery. The same waiter also serves the wine pairings. Sure there was a story behind each wine but again, didn't feel special.

The views were fantastic to say the least. Strangely, the toilet paper was single ply (sorry had to comment on this!)

Would we return? Probably not.

Sad. Was expecting so much more....

As expected, the food, the view and the service was all amazing. Each dish was full of flavour and delicious. It’s quite expensive as meals go, and there are a few better fine dining establishments in Sydney but it is hard to beat the view. The cocktails were super tasty and the wine pairings were done really well.

I love this harbour, but sometimes it gets too much. Y'know, Prince was amazing, but...after a while...too much. At those times, there's grain. The dark lit, timber and high ceilings shtick is married with the nibbles in silver bowls, and a drinks list as comprehensive as Trump's IRS report card. Except you'll find plenty to like here. The food is decent. You will pay for the privilege of peace, but sanctuaries are so for that reason.

We had an amazing experience at Quay. Everything was delicious, and the service was wonderful. My favorites were the pork jowl, which was probably the best tasting pork jowl I’ve ever had, and the seaweed-chocolate appetizer. The cocktails were also very tasty.

For the first half of our meal, a cruise ship blocked our view to the Sydney Opera House but then the cruise ship left and we had a perfect view as well.
