I went in for the spaghetti and meatballs I found the meatballs to be extremely dry which I thought was a bit unusual. the waitress could greatly improve the service if she could find a way to work without her cell phone and spend the time with the clients in the bar

This place is in an industrial neighbourhood. It is not fancy but clean and has lots of space. Two customers outside for a smoke welcomed us and held the door. Lol.

Service was great and bartender was extremely friendly.

The servings are huge, very well made and appear to be home made. I had Sheppard's pie and it was huge and delicious. My mother had a reuban which she absolutely loved. Very reasonably priced. Highly reccomend this place. Only downside was that washrooms were not very clean.

I have finally played a round of 18 and here are my takes.

TLDR: terrible greens, players not following rules or etiquette, an absent marshal, shared tee boxes with other holes.

The course varies for an executive course. Some short, some medium length. You could get away with a 3, 5, 7, PW and a lofted wedge with ease.

Tee boxes and fairways are well maintained. I will say, the shared tee boxes are not ideal, especially with how many novices are playing.

Most people take a power cart, however it's perfectly walkable. The power carts take away from some of the pleasure of an executive course. They're noisy, and considering how few people actually know the rules of the game and etiquette, there's cart tracks everywhere. They're especially bad on the greens.

The greens, they're in pretty terrible shape. Between dead patches and divots that players don't repair (leave the course better than when you played should be everyone's mantra) I can say that I repaired well over two dozen divots that I did not make.

16th is an absolutely dreadful. The separated white and blues from the Reds caused us to nearly hit a father and son duo who jumped ahead 2 seperate times. They teed up without checking their surroundings.

The course marshals aren't doing their jobs on this golf course. They aren't doing anything to ensure the rules are being followed, that players are mindful of their lineup. The one time I saw the marshal, he was whizzing by without a care.

The driving range is mid-low end on the quality. The balls have been very very very well used, unfortunately this skews your shot pattern. I don't expect brand new, but when the balls have been worn down to the point where there are no dimples, they should have been retired ages ago. They do have some newer balls, but they are in the minority.

The grass tees are good, good feel, divot well, and they do take good care of them.

The chipping green could use some work. The grass is not greens quality, so you can't get a feel for roll or spin. The sand trap is a pond at this point, great practice for out of a water hazard.

The shining star for the facility is the price. I would normally give a range like this 2 or lower, but the price for a large bucket is excellent.

I've come from Switzerland and this is the first time I've tried this restaurant. It's just excellent! Quality products and very affordable prices.The staff are very appreciative and generous. There's plenty of room to eat, play, watch a soccer match or even just have a drink.

You can also park easily 😉

We were a group of 8. Service was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. Great value! Will definitely go back.

The driving range is a dump. They have a mat and grass area. The grass area has been completely neglected and nothing is growing there. The ground feels like concrete. The mat section isn’t any better unfortunately. The mats are the lowest grade mats you can get and it feels like you’re hitting off concrete. The range balls are garbage too. I will never come back.

Edit: Addressing the owner’s response, I refuse to be gaslit. To clarify:

1. My criticism wasn’t about the age of the balls but their quality. The density and feel of a ball are not age-related issues. If the owner is new to the business, I can provide contacts for manufacturers that sell superior range balls—typically in yellow.
2. Similarly, my issue isn’t with the age of the mats but their quality. A quick Google search for a reputable company like Fibrebuilt will show the stark difference compared to the substandard mats currently in use.
3. Regarding the desolate grass area, it’s surprising the owner needs to send a crew to examine such an obvious problem.

In short, don’t take my word for it. Visit and see for yourself.”

Had our wedding here this past weekend. Absolutely phenomenal food. Accommodated some vegan dishes and received nothing but rave reviews from our guests. Place looked great. Staff was helpful and considerate. Party was amazing.

The food was great! Amazing prices and portions, just really good assortment of curries and rice and naan. The service was fine and the restaurant decor was pretty shabby but it didn’t matter because the food was just that good!

We just picked lunch we ordered for 5 people and all 5 enjoyed their meals .me I had steak on a bun .and it was a steak not shaved pieces .it was very tasty and cooked to order . This is a great spot for food I highly recommend them .oh and it's affordable won't break the bank .you got to try it you won't be disappointed

Let it be known that I rarely ever leave a bad review but I've been disappointed multiple times by the food here.

The first time I ordered food from them I received the wrong order. It had also taken them an 1hr30mins to deliver the order, despite telling me it would be 40-50min. They do their own deliveries even when ordered through skip so you're unable to track the order as well.

The second time I got food from them it was inedible and absolutely terrible. If I couldn't see the dish that I was looking at, I would have assumed it was a bowl of salt. You couldn't taste any spices or flavours except salt. The rice I had ordered with it thankfully wasn't salty but instead incredibly plain, and barely had any fixings that were supposed to be in it.

When I had called the restaurant to see if we could work anything out, I was met with rudeness and they refused to help in any way.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this place to anyone, the dishes I've had have been simply terrible. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I was a little skeptical at trying this place out, but I heard they had good wings. Sure enough, the wings were excellent.

The staff was friendly. They were a little taken aback that I didn't order a beer, or anything alcoholic, but were still friendly and joking around.

The clientele was friendly as well. Again, I was a little skeptical due to the location, but everyone was friendly and clearly there for a good time.

I would definitely recommend this place. I hear they have other good dishes as well. I'll have to try more.

Vamanshi was a very attentive server. We ordered al a carte for lunch, and took home leftovers for the rest of the family. Lamb, chicken, goat, chan, dal, saag and rice were all delicious. Their garlic naan is a personal favorite.

Food is always good. I get the Lamb Vindaloo SPICY with cheese Nan. It is reasonably priced and service is usually pretty good. I like it, not much else to say.

Always great food and atmosphere here , food is the best Indian food in Durham the staff are always pleasant and genuine if you like Indian food this place is a must!

Very fun family owned golf spot. The prices are reasonable and the snacks aren’t bad either. They even have deals on their 18hole games at times. Would definitely recommend for a date, my husband and I always have a great time playing

I’ve just started coming to this place but each time I’ve been there it’s been a great time. The food is soo good, drinks are pretty awesome lots to choose from and the owner is really cool too. Oh yeah free pool and darts as well! I would have given a 5 out of 5 but the bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. I will definitely continue to come here for sure!

We had a baby shower there on a Saturday early afternoon. They were wonderfully accommodating and the atmosphere was great. Clean, quiet and was perfect for our little set up.

I was disappointed mainly because my order was incorrect. I placed an order online, 3 rice dishes one being a pineapple pilau rice and it looked nothing like the picture on the website, the portions for the rice were decent I guess. But I ordered Curry Chicken and Lamb Korma, what I received however was Curry Beef?(lamb?) and Chicken Korma. The seasonings were really tame, I asked for mild but the dishes didn't offer more pizzazz, very basic. The "lamb", which I'm pretty sure is beef just from flavour profile, was tender but again the mistakenly Curry sauce with it was underwhelming. They were kind people but distracted. Am from out of town but I won't return.

I'm torn with how to rank this, because technically the food was good. However myself and someone else both asked for no onions, the other person due to allergies. We both got onions in our food. Luckily my allergic friend realized it with her first bite, so she didn't get too sick. Her food was remade and she was offered a free drink. It took me longer to realize the onions in my own food. I'm not technically allergic, so I picked them out and just rolled with it, I was also offered a free drink.

That said, my food really was delicious... The third person with us enjoyed their food. If not for the issue with onions, this would be a stellar review.

So I guess... don't go here if you've got any food allergies?

The flavours are perfect and every dish is perfectly prepared to your desired spice level. We compared the quality here to the Bowmanville location and have chosen to pay the extra delivery, or drive to get it. I’m not sure what the difference is, but the Oshawa location is much better in every aspect. I did not rate atmosphere, as we always get take-out or delivery.

Nice Italian restaurant, not upscale, not a chain (nice), just straightforward casual dining. Lots of seating. Good variety on the menu and the food is hot and tasty. Good wine list. Our server was helpful and friendly. Small parking lot beside the restaurant. They took our last minute reservation for dinner on December 30th no problem. Really made our evening as we had just cancelled elsewhere and tried here based on a previous experience.

Haven't been to Avanti since the start of the pandemic but we were regulars until that time. Took my father in law here for a post Christmas dinner (12/27/2023) and as usual, we were not disappointed. I really have to commend our waitress, Wanda. She went above and beyond. She was attentive and friendly. The first was stellar. It was my first time trying the lasagna and it was delicious. All the food was good. So much value for the money!

Underwhelmed.
First time eating from Spicy Affairs. As a brown person I’m very underwhelmed. I’ve had far better flavours at cheaper prices.
The rice was the downfall, they used traditional spices that I’m used to but the taste was not as intense as i hoped from an Indian restaurant (not talking about spicyness).
The chicken is okay, decent portion size.
It also came with chickpeas and a naan. All of it is okay, if i had to choose one word it’s underwhelmed.
As much as i love Indian food i definitely will be going to other spots even though they’re farther from home.

Service was great, i was greeted by every employee and they were nice.

Store was clean and tidy, i pass by the store multiple times daily and it’s always nice inside.

I do not recommend this place if you’re looking for the best desi food, they should take notes from PakHalal’s flavours, it’s a world of difference (authentic flavours)

I have heard nothing but great things about this place so decided to order takeout for the first time. I have to admit, we were disappointed. We ordered 2 Fettuccine Alfredo dinners (28$ each!) - although the staff were friendly and the restaurant atmosphere was very inviting during pick-up, both of our dinner portions were on the small side and were completely unseasoned! Not sure if this is normal? Not even salt or pepper, just literally white sauce with noodles and plain shrimp and chicken breast thrown into an aluminum tray. It was very surprising considering I spent $76 after tip. I will say, after seasoning my own meal and forgetting about the underwhelming presentation, the food was very tasty and good quality. We just wish it came with a larger portion too for the price, as we were left hungry and wanting more! Perhaps dine in is the way to go to get a better meal experience.

Cheap drinks and good fries (nachos too). Nice that they sometimes have bands, but generally loud dance music with nobody dancing. Physical patio space is the best in the downtown. Sometimes get an uncomfortable feeling that I’ve looked at the wrong person the wrong way.

Honestly the servers have always been wonderful here. The vibe not necessarily great but not the worst downtown in a pinch.

Worst experience ever !!! Worst quality of food , worst service! We ordered 4 curries, 2 starters and 15 naans , none of them was good taste , nor quality of food! Taste was yuck 🤮, naan wasn’t chewable at all❌ , never going to this place again not even recommending anyone!

Terrible. Got there it’s dead that’s okay, I decide to have a drink and give it a chance. I ordered my brother and I 2 double rum and cokes. Total comes to $29.87 !!! I ask her how much a double is she tells me she doesn’t have an option for doubles, so she has to charge 4 singles!!!!! That’s wild!!! Not only that. She was NOT friendly. Didn’t thank me for tipping her 25% almost $8 tip on $30 drinks. Absolutely ridiculous. This is my 4-5 time here and honestly just don’t waste your time. I’m extremely pissed, annoyed and my doubles taste like singles …I have been a bartender for 9 years I know a double my friend. Will be calling management.

First time customer but definitely a return customer in the making. The owner is super nice and has lots of space to host parties and has tons of parking available. Groups up to 60, free pool and darts. And hands down the best fries I’ve ever tried in Durham! Two BIG thumbs up for this place guys

I have now eaten here twice and both times it was absolutely delicious! I want to eat my way through the entire pasta and pizza menu. I have had the gnocchi al formaggi and the butternut squash ravioli. Both 5 stars but I would definitely pick the gnocchi again as the sauce was just a little bit richer and creamier. The service is also great and they were so accommodating for making tweaks to menu items for some pickier family members we were dining with. This will be a new staple place for me for sure.

Been visiting them (dine in or take out) for last 3 years and we love them! Great food, superb quality and good quantity. Their platters - Naan platter and fryer platter are must try! Chicken gravies are great but my favourite is Kabab Lababdar! The flavour is rich. Also you have to try their rice - we tried their Kashmiri pulav and veg biryani. The flavours are again amazing!
They are located in Downtown Oshawa. Must try if you are around Oshawa or visiting the location.

We started off our meal with a Naan Platter. The various types of naan were all delicious with the cheese one being my favorite. This was served with a delicious tomato sauce that tasted like the sauce used in Butter Chicken A+++

We had a small group and ordered a variety of dishes. I personally ordered a Meat thali which came with two meat options and one veg option. I opted for Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala. For my veg option I chose Chana Masala. Everything was flavorful and delicious.

I tried a few bites of some of my friends dishes and I enjoyed everything I sampled. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice. It's small inside, but lovely.

I parked a block away and walked there. There is a public parking lot beside the bank that you can park in though, which I discovered after.

Staff were all friendly and my experience was overall a pleasant one. I'll definitely be back!

Service is great, we love the crispiness of the pizza dough and the bread is so good. I've already been satisfied with the complimentary bread. Haha. The cake they served for my birthday, taste awesome. Thanks to the team!

This is a great place for a good Italian meal. Server was really good, made excellent recommendations especially when it came to the espresso martini. Definitely recommend it! For a starter I had the Calamari and it was delicious, just surprised it came with tarter sauce and not a garlic aioli.(just my preference). For my main I had Spaghettini frutta di mare and it was loaded with seafood and so very yummy! I didn't have any room for dessert but I did cap my meal with Latte and again it was great! If you are ever in Ohawa I would definitely check this place out.

The food was good. The buns that came with the table. We’re hot and fresh. One person had lasagna but no garlic bread came with it. Another person had the steak dish and enjoyed it. I found the place was noisy and crowded on a Saturday night.

There is a couple really unique layout holes we love playing. And overall always enjoy playing here.

Amazing place if you are just starting out and looking for a cheap place to learn without having to drop a lot to play a round. However the grass and grounds are not the most well kept but the prices are very affordable on the wallet. So pick what you want to spend your dollars on.

We have been playing here on the weekends for 3years now. Never any Marshall so no guarantee you finish in 3 hours but overall you get what you pay for. We keep coming back and will continue!

My boyfriend and I got a take out order of Crazy Jack burgers for brunch today and they were delicious! You can never go wrong with an egg on a burger and I loved the fries! When I went in to pick up our food the man working there was so friendly and kind and he gave us some sodas on the house to go with our meal. He also let me know there are karaoke nights and comedy nights. We’ll definitely be coming back :)

I ordered for the first time. I had two dishes, one was veggie, the other was mango chicken. And they tasted the exact same. Im guessing the same curry base was used. I was disappointed with what I ordered that I had one plate of it and then threw it in the garbage. I didn't even want to reheat the leftovers. It was gritty and the veggies were overcooked and limp. Unfortuntely, I wont be ordering from here again.

Greta value for great quantity off of Uber Eats. Food tasted great although the Naan seems store bought. Second time ordering from here and would order again. Can’t speak to the venue as we haven’t been there yet.

My first time there, ordered the Swiss mushroom burger... it was unbelievable! The service was fast and friendly and it wasn't too crowded (long weekend) and the prices were very reasonable! Looking forward to going back and trying something else

Cant really say anything since I didnt eat their food or did I drink any alcohol. The washroom is terrible, the pub itself was small and very run down looking. The people at the bar look like all locals. I only had an ice tea but that had an long hair in it. If I have other options I will never come back to this place.

Went on a Sunday evening to the driving range and it was great. They had lots of empty spots for driving including a side area on the real grass where you can use your own conventional tees rather than the artificial grass and rubber tees. The prices were in line with what I have paid at other ranges and no issues. Staff in the shop seemed decently friendly.

A unique layout of holes, including challenging Blue tee boxes on 2, 3, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15 measures an additional 115 yards. Bravo to the crew who dreamed up that box way back there, seeing the line as a potential shot. A very affordable course, which reflects in the pace of play. No Marshall, no guarantee you finish in 3 hours.

Amazing, authentic food at a great value at the Curry Club. I call ahead for take out and everything is ready when they say. The food prepared quickly to your taste. If you like it mild, just ask, you like it spicy they will do it. I have eaten 3 different dishes in the last 2 weeks, the Tikka Masala, chicken Curry and the butter chicken were all excellent. My favorite restaurant in Oshawa! Great job.

First time going to this golf Centre but seen it passing by a few times. First impressions is that its easily accessible from the highway. I sent emails for pricing and to see if it gets packed at the range and I got a response in a timely fashion. The response had the information I was looking for and friendly at the same time.

When I got there the ball machine was broken but they did try to fix it.

However when I went to get my bucket of golf balls they had them ready in every bucket size except jumbo which was fine with me.

The range only had a couple of fellow golfers using it so there was plenty of space.

The golf pads (I’m sure there called something else) looked pretty worn out but thats just cosmetics.

Overall I had a great time practicing my terrible golf swing but hey you can only get better when you practice lol.

Just like the other reviews state, the food is on point. The burger was great! My co-worker got the sizzling wings and they were actually sizzling when they came out. The beer selection was a little weak but full bar. Overall, great find, a little nicer than a whole in the wall but the food will bring me back.

Food is amazing and the staff is even better. Definitely worth the drive from Scarborough.
